TAKATA RECALL I PURCHASED A USED 2005 FORD MUSTANG FROM TIDELAND FORD IN PAWLEYS ISLAND S.C WHEN I CHECKED ON THE RECALL LIST MY CAR WAS ON THE LIST FOR TAKATA AIRBAG, I WENT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK TO SEE IF IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED AND WAS TOLD IT WASN,T THEY CLAIM MY AIRBAG IS OF THEE OLD FORD STYLE NOT THE SAME AS THE NEWER FORDS AND FORD WILL BE REPLACING THE NEWER ONES FIRST AND NOT TO HOLD MY BREATH ON MINE GETTING MINE FIXED IN THE NEAR FUTURE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO OLD STYLE IN INVENTORY. AS ILIVE IN A HIGH HUMIDITY AREA , WHICH IS THE CLIMATE TO CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO FAIL. NOW I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE FAULT OF TIDELAND AS THEY HAVE BEEN HONEST AND AS HELPFUL AS THEY COULD BUT CANNOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL FORD SUPPLIES THEM WITH THE APPROPRIATE REPLACEMENT. I AM WORRIED EACH TIME I DRIVE THE CAR AS IT IS TEN YEARS OLD, AND PROBABLY ABOUT TO FAIL WHAT CAN BE DONE TO HAVE FORD ALSO SUPPLY THERE DEALERS WITH THE CORRECT PARTS TO FIX MY CAR.

'TAKATA RECALL' THE VEHICLE WAS IN A WRECK @ 60MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST CONTROL & STARTED SLIDING THEN FLIPPED SEVERAL TIMES WHICH TOTALED THE CAR. THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED!! I HAD JUST TRADED MY OTHER CAR FOR THIS MUSTANG JUST A FEW WEEKS BEFORE AS AN EVEN TRADE. THE DEALERSHIP WHO TRADED WITH ME STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MUSTANG, NO RECALLS OR ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT CAUSE THEY DID A 360 INSPECTION.

UNABLE TO TRADE OUT OF MY CAR BECAUSE OF SAFETY RECALL. NOTICE WAS GIVEN IN MAY AND IT'S NOW ALMOST OCTOBER. CONTACTED FORD 9-16-15 WITH NO HELP GIVEN. NO DEADLINE PROVIDED. I'M TRAPPED IN A CAR I CAN'T GET RID OF. EXPECTED AT A MINIMUM FORD WOULD PURCHASE BACK.
ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR WAS STICKING IN GEAR SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER FOUND OUT THROUGH A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT THE THROTTLE ASSEMBLY BUT WANTED ME TO PAY ALMOST $1000.00 TO GET IT FIXED. I TOLD THEM NO AND PICKED MY CAR UP. I WENT ON LINE AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE THROTTLE ASSEMBLY.

WHEN TRYING TO FILL THE GAS TANK FUEL BACKED OUT OF THE FILLER TUBE AND WOULD NOT ENTER THE TANK. GAS SPILLED OUT ONTO THE GROUND.
ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING EXCEPT FOR DIGITAL READOUT. THE INTERIOR FLOODS WITH WATER WHEN IT RAINS.

RECEIVED A RECALL(15S21) JULY 2015 THEN ANOTHER RECALL (14B09) FINALLY ALL REPAIRED THEN YET ANOTHER RECALL (16S26) JULY 2016.. *WHICH I STILL HAVE NOT BE ABLE TO GET REPAIRED* THESE ARE ALL SAME DEFECT, I DO BELIEVE AND FORD DEALERSHIP SAYS STILL CAN'T GET PART TO REPAIR DEFECT. IN MEANTIME I MUST DRIVE AN UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH DEFECTED AIR BAGS.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (15S21/NHTSA RECALL 15V-319) IN JULY 2015. I CALL THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON A REGULAR BASIS AND AM TOLD EACH TIME THAT FORD IS WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS RECALL INVOLVES UNSAFE AIR BAGS. I BELEIVE THAT 5 MONTHS IS WAY TOO LONG TO HAVE TO WAIT FOR PARTS TO FIX A DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING DEFECT. PLEASE ASSIST.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION. I TOOK THE AFFECTED VEHICLE TO INVER GROVE FORD. THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART AND THEY WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN IT BECAME AVAILABLE. THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME.
DEFECT IN UNDER COWL DRAINAGE LEADS TO RAINWATER LEAKING INTO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. WATER DRAINS DOWN WIRING HARNESS INTO THE SMART JUNCTION BOX CASING ELECTRICAL SHORTS THAT AT FIRST CAUSED THE RIGHT HEADLAMP TO SHUTDOWN AFTER 15 SECONDS. RECYCLING THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH BRINGS THE HEADLIGHT BACK ON FOR ANOTHER 15 SECONDS. THIS CONDITION RENDERS THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO OPERATE FROM SUNSET TO SUNRISE. NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLAMP HAS BEGUN THE SAME PROBLEM. I CHECKED ONLINE AND IT IS APPARENT THAT THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE FOR WHICH THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER HAS NO PART AVAILABLE TO FIX. THEY INITIALLY INFORMED ME THAT THE SMJ WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE LAST SEPTEMBER. THAT HAS NOW BEEN PUSHED BACK TO FEBRUARY OF 2016. THEY WANT OVER $400 FOR THE PART PLUS ADDITIONAL LABOR TO PROGRAM AND INSTALL A COMPONENT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED YEARS AGO. THIS PROBLEM IS ALREADY COVERED UNDER A TSB AND THE DEFECT CAN CAUSE A MULTITUDE OF MALFUNCTIONS THAT COULD EASILY RESULT IN LIFE THREATENING SITUATIONS. I JUST RECENTLY CHECKED AND FOUND OVER 286 REPORTS ON FILE WITH NHTSA, YET NO APPARENT INVESTIGATIONS APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED, NOR A RECALL. IT IS MY SINCER HOPE THAT NHTSA IS NOT WAITING FOR A BODY COUNT BEFORE TAKING ACTION. TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED MY NOTICE OF RECALL FOR DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DATED MAY 21, 2015. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE INFORMED WHEN A REPLACEMENT WAS AVAILABLE AND TO JUST WAIT UNTIL THEN TO CALL AGAIN. AS OF APRIL 11 2016 NO WORD FROM FORD OR MY LOCAL DEALER. WHEN I CALL THEM I AM TOLD " WE DON'T KNOW WHEN" THEN SAY MAYBE IN 3 TO SIX MONTHS. THEY ALSO HAVE SAID THAT AS MY CAR IS A FLORIDA CAR IT IS A PRIORITY. 11 MONTHS GONE AND 3 TO 6 MONTHS TO GO FOR A PRIORITY CAR. YOUR SITE SAYS THAT MANY BAGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, BUT I CAN'T EVEN GET A GOOD TIME TABLE. HOW CAN I GET THE TRUTH FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY?

THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LOCATED INSIDE THE VEHICLE STOPPED READING PROPERLY. AT FIRST I WAS NOT ABLE TO READ MY RPM'S GAUGE AS IT WAS SHOWING I WAS IDLING AT 3,000 WHICH WAS INCORRECT AS I CAN HEAR MY ENGINE. THEN MY OIL GAUGE BEGAN READING PAST FULL. BOTH OF THOSE ISSUES FIXED THEMSELVES (UNSURE OF HOW OR WHY) AND THEN MY SPEEDOMETER GAUGE WENT BAD. NOW THE NEEDLE IS POINTING STRAIGHT DOWN REGARDLESS OF HOW FAST OR SLOW I AM GOING. THIS IS A DANGER TO MYSELF ON THE ROAD AS I CANNOT GAUGE MY SPEED. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT OTHERS WITH THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR OF MY CAR ARE EXPERIENCING AND SHOULD BE FIXED WITH A RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL. ON 3/25/15 I HAD MY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG REPLACED PER FORD RECALL 14B09. THEN IN JULY OF 2015 I GOT A LETTER FROM FORD STATING THAT THE AIRBAG HAD TO BE REPLACED AGAIN AND WAS STILL UNDER RECALL. THE NUMBER OF THIS RECALL IS 15S21 AND FORD WOULD SEND ME A LETTER WHEN PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. IN FEBRUARY OF 2016 I STILL HAD NOT HEARD FROM FORD SO I CALLED MY DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. AT THE SAME TIME I EMAILED FORD AND THE REPLY WAS TO WAIT FOR PARTS TO BE AVAILABLE. FINALLY ON 5/25/16 I EMAILED FORD AGAIN TRYING TO FIND OUT IF PARTS WERE AVAILABLE AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED IN THE "VERY NEAR FUTURE" ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY OF PARTS. AS OF TODAY 6/30/16 I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ABOUT THE PARTS BEING AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN SINCE MARCH 2015 THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND WITH A POSSIBLE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IN MY MUSTANG. APPARENTLY THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG THEY PUT IN ON 3/25/15 MAY ALSO BE DEFECTIVE PER FORD. MY WIFE AND I DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE. I ACTUALLY ASKED FORD IF THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY DID NOT REALLY ANSWER THAT QUESTION. I LIVE IN AN AREA OF HIGH HEAT IN PHOENIX AND I AM WONDERING IF OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR BOTH MY DRIVERS AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS. I HAVE GOTTEN THE DRIVER SIDE REPLACED, BUT MY PASSENGER SIDE IT STILL YET TO BE DONE. I CALLED FORD AND WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. I'VE BEEN ON THE WAITING LIST FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW. I CALLED FORD AGAIN AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I AM UNABLE TO SELL/TRADE MY CAR WHILE THE RECALLS ARE PENDING.
GAS PEDAL STUCK GOING DOWN HILL RESULTING IN AUTO RUNNING OFF ROAD AND OVER A CLIFF. THE DRIVER IS ON LIFE SUPPORT, THE PASSENGER PARALYZED WITH A BROKEN BACK.
