OK, 5/22/2015 WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AB, IT WAS REPLACED, TODAY THE CAR IS IN FOR THAT RECALL OF 2015?. WE RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THE PASSENGER AB IS RECALLED, HOWEVER FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS. TODAY I CALLED FORD ABOUT THE DRIVERS SIDE, THEY HAD NO RECORD OF THE CAR BEING REPAIRED 5/2015. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY? WAS THE AB EVER FIXED?, ON THE DRIVERS. I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THE CAR. THE PASSENGER SIDE COULD TAKE UP TO THE END OF DEC. 2017 TO BE REPLACED. THE COMPLAINT IS THE DRIVERS, THE REPLACEMENT BEING RECALLED!, PLUS FORD HAS NO RECORD OF THE 2015 REPLACEMENT. TODAY IT'S A GOSCH FORD, HAVING THE DRIVERS SIDE AB REPLACED. WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS, AND JUST PURCHASED A F150, 2016 RECENTLY FROM GOSCH. I FEEL SOMEONE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE REPAIR. I HAVE THE INVOICE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, AND IT STATED DRIVERS AB INFLATOR REPLACEMENT COMPLETED.
FRONT HOOD BUBBLING FROM CONTAMINATED WELDS AT FACTORY. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE VERY COMMON AND DEVALUES THE CAR CONSIDERABLY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TO WHOM IT CONCERNS, BACK IN OCTOBER OF 2013, I PURCHASED A USED, BUT VERY WELL KEPT, 2006 FORD MUSTANG GT PREMIUM. AFTER A YEAR OR SO, I EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM THAT HAS LEFT ME AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR. WHILE SLOWLY PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE TO PARK MY CAR, I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP, ABOUT TO SHIFT INTO PARK, WHILE MY FOOT WAS STILL DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO THROTTLE UP OVERPOWERING THE BRAKES CAUSING THE BACK WHEELS TO SPIN AND THE CAR TO MOVE FORWARD. THE HARDER I PUSHED DOWN THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE MORE IT THROTTLED UP UNTIL IT SHOT ME UP AND OVER THE CEMENT WHEEL STOP IN FRONT OF THE PARKING STALL AND ONTO THE GRASS MEDIAN AT WHICH TIME I TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND SLAMMED THE SHIFTER UP INTO PARK. I WAS DUMBFOUNDED! I THOUGHT MAYBE SOMEHOW WHEN MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT WAS ALSO CATCHING THE SIDE OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THUS MAKING IT SEEM LIKE THE HARDER I PUSHED DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE MORE THE ENGINE WOULD THROTTLE UP AS WELL. I EVENTUALLY SHOOK IT OFF AND WENT ABOUT MY DAY. THREE DAYS LATER, WHILE PULLING INTO MY BROTHERS GARAGE AND AGAIN, COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, IT THROTTLED UP AGAIN THE SAME WAY AND MY BROTHER WAS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CAR. HE THOUGHT I WAS PLAYING UNTIL HE SAW THE PANIC ON MY FACE. HE NO SOONER JUMPED OUT OF THE WAY WHEN THE CAR SHOT FORWARD ALMOST HITTING HIM! THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN NEVER KNOWING WHEN OR WHERE. IT ALSO HAS DONE THIS WHILE JUST SLOWING DOWN TO ALMOST A STOP. I CONTACTED FORD WHO CLAIMED IGNORANCE AND WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HELP. LOOKED ONLINE FOR OTHERS HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF POSTS, EVEN LAW SUITES AGAINST FORD. I NOTICED PEOPLE DESCRIBING THE ACCELERATOR STICKING OR GOING TO THE FLOOR. THAT CAN'T HAPPEN, THERE'S NO CABLE CONNECTION TO THE THROTTLE. ELECTRICAL OR COMPUTER DEFECT IN FORD'S DRIVE BY WIRE SYSTEM. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED! HELP!

WHILE TRAVELING TO WORK I UNKNOWINGLY APPROACHED A PATCH OF BLACK ICE AT SPEED OF 35MPH. UPON REALIZING THE ROAD CONDITION I LIFTED THROTTLE TO COAST OVER THE ICE IN AN ATTEMPT TO SAFELY DECELERATE. THE REAR WHEELS LOCKED CAUSING AN UNCONTROLLABLE SLIDE. THE CAR ROTATED 90 DEGREES RIGHT BEFORE STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I MANEUVERED THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO INSPECT FOR DAMAGE AND FIND THE CAUSE. THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE DISC WAS GLOWING RED. IT HAD UNKNOWINGLY BEEN DRAGGING. WHEN I LIFTED THROTTLE, THE ICY CONDITION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DRAGGING PASSENGER REAR BRAKE CAUSED THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE TO LOCK UNEXPECTEDLY. THE CAR HAS A POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT DIFFERENTIAL, THIS CAUSED THE OPPOSITE WHEEL TO LOCK. THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO BE UNCONTROLLABLE WHEN THROTTLE WAS NOT APPLIED ON ICY PATCHES OF ROAD, AT ANY SPEED. I SLOWLY NAVIGATED THE CAR TO A NEAR BY GAS STATION AND CALLED OFF FROM WORK. AFTER BECOMING AWARE OF THE CONDITION, I WAS ABLE TO VERY SLOWLY DRIVE THE CAR HOME. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY. THE SAME CONDITION THAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN FORD TSB 06-5-4 "PARK BRAKE CABLES THAT FREEZE IN COLD WEATHER DUE TO WATER INTRUSION, AND SUBSEQUENTLY LEAD TO DRAGGING REAR BRAKES" ARE ALSO CONDITIONS THAT IF UNKNOWINGLY DRIVEN IN, COULD CAUSE A LOSS OF CONTROL WITH FATAL CONSEQUENCES TO THE DRIVER, OTHER DRIVERS, AND PEDESTRIANS. *TR

RUG ON FRONT PASSENGER SIDE IS VERY WET. JUST FORWARD OF THE SEAT, JUST INSIDE OF THE DOOR SILL. APPEARS TO BE WATER, NOT COOLANT. UNKNOWN SOURCE. DOOR RUBBER SEALS ARE FINE, AS ARE WINDOW CHANNELS, DOOR DRAIN SLOTS ARE CLEAR. *TR
I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT TO ALERT THE NHTSA OF A AIR BAG SAFETY ISSUES IN MY 2006 FORD MUSTANG. RECENTLY A SAFETY DEFECT ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED ABOUT PARTICULAR MODELS OF VEHICLES THAT RECEIVED AIR BAGS FROM THE MANUFACTURER TAKATA. I TOOK THE LIBERTY OF DOING THE RESEARCH ON THE ISSUES OF WHICH THE AIR BAG WHEN DEPLOYED CAN SEND SHARDS OF METAL OR SHRAPNEL INTO THE UPPER REGION OF BOTH THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER. MY YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, AND TIME-FRAME OF VEHICLE PURCHASED MATCHED WITH THE VEHICLES IDENTIFIED AS BEING AFFECTED WITH ONE EXCEPTION, MY VEHICLE RESIDES IN A COLD WEATHER STATE. AS MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGERS IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANT I CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY TO HAVE THE ISSUE REMEDIED TO BE RELAYED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN. PRIMARILY THE CLAIM THAT LIVING SOMEPLACE WITH COLD WEATHER SOMEHOW PROTECTS ME FROM EXPERIENCING THIS DEADLY ISSUE. TO NOTE. COLORADO IS A STATE THAT DOES IN FACT REACH TEMPERATURES BETWEEN THE MONTHS OF MAY-OCTOBER OF 100+ DEGREES ON A MULTIPLE DAY BASIS(PLEASE REVIEW WEATHER REPORTS). IN ADDITION DEPENDING ON WHERE IN COLORADO YOU ARE LOCATED THERE ARE AREAS OF HUMID + HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT YOU CAN EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO HAVE MY AIR BAG DISABLED BY FORD TO PROTECT MY WELL BEING UNTIL A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETED, NOR HAS FORD REACHED OUT TO CONSUMERS TO IDENTIFY WHAT STEPS THEY ARE TAKING TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY. MY WELL BEING IS NOT BEING PROTECTED AS IT SHOULD AND I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THE ISSUE. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS IN MY VEHICLE REMOVED AND REPLACED TO ENSURE THAT NOTHING AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL OCCURS. WHILE THE MANUFACTURERS OF THE AIR BAG AND/OR CAR COMPANY'S MAY NOT FEEL I AM AT RISK, THEY ARE NOT DRIVING A VEHICLE WITH WHAT EQUATES TO A POTENTIAL IED IN THE STEERING WHEEL, AND I SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO TAKE THAT CHANCE. *TR
IT HAS BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE I INITIALLY RECEIVED THE RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. MY WIFE DRIVES THE CAR WITH CHILDREN OFTEN SEATED IN THE AFFECTED PASSENGER SEAT.
"TAKATA RECALL" FORD DEALERSHIP CLAIM THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THESE PARTS TO REPLACE THE RECALLED AIRBAGS. FORD HAS SENT A LETTER STATING THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE BEING MANUFACTURED BUT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SPRING 2018.

TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE CONTACTED FORD CORP TWICE AND THEY TOLD ME A LETTER WOULD BE SENT....THIS SINCE 2014. I HAVE CONTACTED HOLMAN FORD IN MAPLE SHADE, NJ 4 TIMES TO ASK IF THEY HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. THEY HAVE CONSISTENTLY TOLD ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS YET AND I WILL GET A LETTER. I HAVE NOT MOVED OR CHANGED MY ADDRESS FOR 33 YEARS AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING.
MY SON-IN-LAW BOUGHT A USED MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE FOR HIS SON. I HAD THE CAR INSPECTED AND FLUIDS CHANGED AS SOON AS I COULD AND DURING THE TIME ON THE RACK, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE FRAME STIFFENERS ON BOTH SIDE SHOWED SEVERE RUST TO THE POINT ONE WAS RUSTED COMPLETELY THROUGH. THE STIFFENER HAS AN OPENING IN THE FRONT THAT ACCUMULATES WATER, SALT AND ROAD SLOP OVER TIME, BUT NO METHOD TO LET THIS MEMBER FLUSH ITSELF OR BE CLEANED ON THE INSIDE. THE SHOP INSTALLED TWO NEW STIFFENERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT THEY CLOSED THE FRONT OPENING ENTRANCE TO THE STIFFENER WITH A SEALANT AND GAVE THE BARE METAL EXTERIOR TWO COATS OF CORROSION RESISTANT PAINT. *TR
CAR SUDDENLY WENT INTO LIMP MODE, NO REASON. JUST STARTED IT UP ONE DAY AND IT JUST DID NOT WANT TO MOVE. NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO GET IT OUT OF THE MODE. MANY MECHANICS HAVE TRIED WITH NO LUCK. NOW A MECHANIC SAYS I HAVE A FAULTY COMPUTER. 3 YEARS OF IT ACTING THIS WAY.. COMPUTER DIAGNOSIS SHOWED MANY THINGS MESSED UP, EVEN AFTER REPLACING ALL OF THOSE (AND I AM SURE SOME WERE UNEEDED) THE CAR IS STILL IN LIMP MODE, HAS NO POWER AT ALL AND HAS BEEN BASICALLY DOWN FOR 3 YEARS. BEAUTIFUL LAWN ORNAMENT BUT IT BEING ALL I HAVE LEFT OF MY LATE HUSBAND, I'M NOT HAPPY IT JUST SITS THERE. NO MECHANIC WANTS TO EVEN TOUCH IT!

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
FORD MUSTANG BATTERIES LIGHT IS COMING ON REPLACE WITH NEW AND CHECK ALTERNATOR IT GOOD BUT BATTERIES LIGHT STILL ON. I DID A SEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORT NUMEROUS TIME WITH NO HELP. SOMETHING IS CAUSE THE BATTERY TO BE DRAIN ON THE 2006 FORD MUSTANG AND IT NOT THE ALTERNATOR. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY HAVEN'T A INVESTIGATION HAS BE DONE TO LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM. WE JUST BROUGHT THIS MUSTANG 11/13/2014 AND WE HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT A LOT OF OTHER COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SAME OR SIMILAR ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

THIS IS A SAFTY ISSUE AS IT IS ALSO PART OF THE SAFTY INSPECTION. I EXCATLY HOW MANY AUTO COLISIONS DOES IT TAKE OR DEATHS BEFORE THIS IS TAKEN CARE OF.

A FEW WEEKENDS AGO I PURCHASED A VERY NICE LOOKING 06 MUSTANG GT WITH 87,000 (APX) MILES. CAR HAD JUST BEEN CLEANED UP VERY NICELY AND LOOKED LIKE A GOOD DEAL. ON THE WAY HOME I TOOK IT THROUGH THE CAR WASH AND CAME TO DISCOVER WHY IT HAD BEEN SO CLEANED OUT. WATER BEGAN POURING IN UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. LIKE A WATER FALL. THE WATER DIDN'T STOP UNTIL THERE WAS A GOOD 4 INCHES ON THE FLOOR. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. THE WATER SMELLED TERRIBLE. I SMELL A AWFUL MOLD/MILDEW SMELL NOW THAT WON'T GO AWAY. THERE WERE SMALL ELECTRICAL ISSUES AT THE TIME THAT SEEM TO HAVE CLEARED UP... FOR NOW. AN INTERNET SEARCH REVEALED THE DRAINAGE HOLES UNDER THE COWL WERE PLUGGED AND AN INVESTIGATION VERIFIED THE PROBLEM. CLEARING OF THE DRAINAGE HOLES TOOK ONLY A FEW MINUTES, BUT I FEAR THE DAMAGE MAY BE THERE AND WILL CAUSE SERIOUS ISSUES IN THE FUTURE IF THE WIRES SHOULD EVER RUST. AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE IS SCARY. ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS CONTROL.. WELL.. THE ENTIRE CAR. CRUISE CONTROL, WINDOWS, ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, AIR BAGS, ETC. I'D HATE MY AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY WHILE DRIVING. AND THE MOLD IN THE CARPET CAN'T BE HEALTHY EITHER. FORD NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM AND REPAIR THESE VEHICLES AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. WHILE TRYING TO PASS A CAR TO MY RIGHT, DURING MID-LEVEL ACCELERATION, MY ENGINE EXPERIENCED UNCONTROLLED ACCELERATION FROM 40MPH TO 70MPH BEFORE I COULD RESPOND AND TURN THE IGNITION TO THE OFF POSITION, KILLING THE ENGINE. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME IN TWO YEARS. THE FIRST TIME WAS UNDER HARD ACCELERATION WHILE TRYING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE RED-LINED AND I HAD TO PUT THE CAT IN NEUTRAL AND SHUT OFF THE IGNITION. THE NEXT THREE TIME I EXPERIENCED THIS WAS DURING MODERATE TO LIGHT ACCELERATION IN PASSING CARS BETWEEN THE SPEEDS OF 35MPH AND 45 MPH. I HAVE ELIMINATED THE FLOOR MAT AS A CAUSE FOR THIS. I HAVE THE ANCHOR AND GROMMET TYPE MAT THAT CANNOT SLIDE FORWARD. MY FEAR IS THAT A LESS EXPERIENCED DRIVER WOULD HAVE CRASHED IN ANY OF THESE FOUR OCCURRENCES. *JS

LOST FUNCTION OF BRAKE LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS AND FLASHERS. FORD DEALER IN WINSTON SALEM, NC SAID THE DRAIN BELOW THE WINDSHIELD HAS STOPPED UP AND DIVERTED THE WATER VIA THE WIRING TO THE SJB THEREBY SHORTING IT OUT. HAD NEW SJB INSTALLED AND WATER REMOVED FROM PASSENGER FLOOR AREA. TOOK 2 DAYS FOR CARPETING TO DRY OUT. COST WAS 610.38 PLUS THE SJB. THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT FOR NOT HAVING BRAKE LIGHTS OR TURN SIGNALS. IT IS NOW JULY 1, 2014 AND THE SAME PART HAS FAILED AGAIN BUT WITHOUT THE WATER ISSUE. ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 24 2014 AT AROUND 12:45PM, I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. I WAS SITTING IN MY 2006 FORD MUSTANG GT IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON THE GRAND CENTRAL PARKWAY(QUEENS NY) HEADING TOWARDS THE VAN WYCK EXPRESSWAY(EAST TO BROOKLYN NY). AS TRAFFIC STARTED TO MOVE UP SLOWLY, I HAD PRESSED ON THE GAS PEDAL TO MOVE FORWARD AND WITHOUT HESITATION THE CAR JUMPS FROM 7 MPH TO FULL THROTTLE. EVEN WHEN I HAD APPLIED THE BRAKES ( I FELT THE BRAKES ON THE ROTORS BUT IT DIDN'T STOP) THE VEHICLE HAD STAYED STUCK ON FULL THROTTLE AND HAD STRUCK THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. IT BOUNCED OFF THE 1ST VEHICLE AND IT WAS AT THIS POINT I HAD PLACED BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKES, TO THE POINT WHERE I WAS STANDING ON THEM WITH MY HEAD HITTING THE ROOF OF THE CAR.
