TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 2 YEARS FOR THIS FIX. WHAT COURSE OF ACTION IS AVAILABLE TO ME?
"TAKATA RECALL", I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP(BEAU TOWNSEND) LAST YEAR ABOUT THE RECALL, THEY SAID I WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST, I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY MUSTANG RECALL REPLACED. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR UNTIL FIXED..CAN SOMEONE HELP?
FOR A WHILE NOW I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING AFTER RAIN - WATER FLOWING THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE FIREWALL AND ALONG THE PASSENGER SIDE KICK BOARD WHERE THE SMART CONJUNCTION BOX (FUSE BOX) IS. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A FORD DEALER WHO SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND WOULD BE $95.00 TO START LOOKING IN TO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS PAST SATURDAY, I PARKED MY VEHICLE THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE IT SEEMS THIS ISSUE CAN BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO WATER DAMAGE. WATER SEEPING IN TO THE FUSE BOX. I ALSO FOUND ONLINE WHERE THERE ARE A NUMBER OF MODEL YEARS THAT HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE. NOW I AM GOING TO BE STUCK WITH A GIGANTIC REPAIR BILL FOR A DESIGN FLAW THAT FORD KNOWS ABOUT AND COULD OF ISSUED A RECALL FOR.

IN CITY TRAFFIC AT A STOP LIGHT, WENT TO STEP ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE STARTED EXTREME SHAKING & THE CAR WOULD NOT GO. SHUT OFF THE ENGINE & RESTARTED IT. THE WRENCH LIGHT & CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD AND CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE & LOST ALL ACCELERATION. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS AT RESTARTING, THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, ADVISED SERVICE REP OF CONSUMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 13N03 & WAS INFORMED THAT FORD WILL NOT HONOR THE PROGRAM FOR 2006 MUSTANG.

MY LOCAL FORD DEALER, FUTURE FORD OF CLOVIS, HAS A WAITING LIST OF OVER 700 VEHICLES AND FORD IS ONLY SENDING 5 REPLACEMENT PARTS A WEEK. WHEN YOU CALL THE FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER THEY, TELL YOU THE DEALER CAN GET AS MANT REPLACEMENT PARTS THEY NEED. AFTER SITTING A FEW MINUTES, IT STARTED OK AND WAS FINE. LEFT CAR AT DEALER FOR 1 WEEK, THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. ON 8/15/15, THE WRENCH CAME ON TWICE AND THEN THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT STAYED ON. THIS WAS AFTER A 215 MILLE DRIVE ON THE INTERSTATE. RETURNED TO DEALER WHO NOW HAD COMPUTER CODES. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY NEEDED REPLACEMENT. PART LISTED ON BILL SAYS POTENTIOMETER FORD PART#6L2Z-9B989-D. THIS NOW EXPLAINS SUBTLE ACCELERATIONS THAT OCCURRED ON HIGHWAY WHEN IT WAS NOT ME APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE GAS PEDAL.

I WAS AT A STOP GETTING READY TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC WHEN THE CAR JUST DIED. I RESTARTED THE CAR BUT IT RAN REAL RUFF I BARELY GOT OFF THE ROAD. I HAD TO TOWE THE CAR HOME IT'S THE THROTTLE -BY-WIRE THIS SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. THANKS LEE

I AM CONCERNED ABOUT A RECALL (14V802) THE RECALL INDICATES THAT FRAGMENTS CAN STRIKE THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. FORD IS TELLING ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE RECALL WHICH HAS BEEN IN THE NEWS LATELY ABOUT THAT VERY SAME SYMPTOM EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE DESERT FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS. I'M CONFUSED ABOUT WHICH RECALL QUALIFIES FOR THE PRIORITY REPAIR IF THIS ONE DOESN'T.
