The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from an unknown location with the vehicle turned off. The contact became aware that the battery was completely drained. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that electrical components were draining the battery while the vehicle was turned off. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 30,000.
Driving down the road (luckily 4 lanes with a turning lane in middle)...the car shuts off & I'm rolling. I roll to the middle lane, apply brakes. And I put in park & restart. This has happened NUMEROUS TIMES. It happens when I take off or sharp turn. It shouldn't do this.
The vehicle has experienced repeated and ongoing electrical system failures, including chronic battery drain that causes the vehicle to fail to start, erratic HVAC operation where controls do not function as intended, and persistent water intrusion into the doors and interior areas. The HVAC malfunction has resulted in the inability to properly defrost or defog the windshield while driving, significantly impairing visibility and creating an immediate safety hazard. These issues appear consistent with failure or corrosion of the Smart Junction Box (SJB) or related electrical control components. Replacement Smart Junction Boxes are unavailable through both Ford and aftermarket sources, preventing proper repair of the defect. The electrical instability and water intrusion present a risk of sudden loss of vehicle operability, impaired visibility, and unpredictable electrical behavior while the vehicle is in motion, creating a safety risk to the driver, passengers, and others on the road. The issues are recurring and reproducible.

The contact indicated that when the accelerator pedal was slightly depressed the vehicle decelerated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the clutch was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. A complete failure of the electrical system due to a design flaw where a main electrical wire harness inside the firewall on the drivers side fills up with water over time and soaks the wire harness causing a complete failure of the car to operate. This leading to a breakdown in traffic and dangerous necessity to get out into traffic to escape electrical smoke.

The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact's son was knocked unconscious and taken to the local hospital. The contact's son was treated for a head contusion and bruising to his chest and abdomen. The other driving was taken to the hospital in critical condition; however, his injuries were unknown. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they offered no assistance. THERE'S A CHRONIC HESITATION WHEN YOU PUSH THE ACCELERATOR FROM A YIELD/MERGE TYPE SITUATION AT LOW-SPEED. IT'S NOT EVERY TIME BUT MANY TIMES. TODAY I WAS GOING AROUND A CAR THAT WAS SITTING IN THE ROAD WITH IT'S FLASHERS ON (IE DOUBLE PARKED) AND THERE WAS A CAR IN THE OTHER LANE ON THE 2-LANE ONE-WAY STREET AND I STEPPED ON THE PEDDLE TO ACCELERATE SLIGHTLY AND IT TOTALLY CHOKED AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET HIT IN THE REAR AND THEN IT KICKED IN. I NOTED THIS WAY BACK WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND AT THAT TIME I THOUGHT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GEARING WHICH IT STILL COULD. I TOLD SERVICE ABOUT THE ISSUE AND I EVEN TOOK THEM FOR A DRIVE BUT OF COURSE THAT TIME IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I'VE TRIED OVER YEARS TO ID THE PROBLEM MORE BUT WHILE I CAN SEE SOMEWHAT OF A PATTERN IT'S NOT GUARANTEED. ALTHOUGH ONE OF THE MOST LIKELY SITUATIONS IS GOING UP A HILL, TURNING SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT WHILE SLOWING FOR A YIELD SIGN BUT NOT STOPPING AND THEN PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR ONLY TO GET A HICCUP OR CHOKE OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES FILLING THE TANK BECAUSE OF A LACK OF ENOUGH SPACE FOR FUEL TO REPLACE AIR CAUSING THE SELF-SHUTOFF OF THE PUMP TO KICK-IN NOT FILLING YOUR TANK. I RAISE THIS UP AS THIS COULD BE SOME TYPE OF PRESSURIZATION CONSISTENCY. THERE'S ALSO THE AGGRESSIVE ACCELERATOR WHERE YOU PUSH IT A TINY BIT AND IT WANTS TO TAKE OFF ENOUGH TO SQUEAL THE TIRES SOMETIMES.
THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASH INTO A CONCRETE WALL. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE WAS THE CONTACTS DAUGHTER. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE DRIVER SUSTAINED AN INJURED RIGHT ARM WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN AT THE SCENE AND THE DESTROYED VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (UNKNOWN) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
AS I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65MPH/HOUR I HEAR A SLIGHT POPPING NOISE COME FROM THE FROM PASSENGER TIRE AND THEN FOLLOWED THE TIRES PRESSURE DASH LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AT MY FIRST OPPORTUNITY. MY TURE HAD GONE COMPLETELY FLAT WITH OUT HITTING ANY BUMPS OR POT HOLES. I PUT THE SPARE ON AND RETURNED HOME. MY BOYFRIEND INSPECTED THE TIRE USING SOAPY WATER AND REALIZED THE AIR WAS ESCAPING FROM THE RIM WALL (STR P245/40 R20) AND NOT THE TIRE ITSELF. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION WE REALIZED MANY STRESS FACTURES ON THE RIM ON ALL FOUR TIRES NOT JUST THE ONE THAT LOST ALL THE AIR ORIGINALLY. I REPLACED MY TIRES PIRELLI ALL SEASON PLUS AND SCORPION VERDE TIRES WITH MY STOCK TIRES. I RESEARCHED THE TIRES FOR A RECALL AND NOTICED A RECALL ON OTHER TIRES THAT WERE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL JUST DIFFERENT SIZES HAD THE SAME ISSUE, A FAILED RIM WALL CAUSING IT TO BREAK OFF CAUSING ACCIDENTS, THAT MY AFTERMARKET TIRES WERE HAVING. MY TIRES ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALLED PIRELLIS SO THEREFORE I HAVE NOT BEEN USING MY TIRES FOR FEAR THE OTHER 3 TIRES WILL ALSO WORSEN AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. STR P245/75 R 20 AND STR P245/40/ R20 ALL SEASON PLUS AND SCORPION VERDE MODELS ALSO THE SEAT BELT LIGHT NEVER TURNS OFF EVEN WHEN THE SEAT BELTS ARE PROPERLY ENGAGED WHICH CAUSES A BEEPING WHILE DRIVING.
THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT GO INTO OVERDRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY SO I PULLED OVER AND THEN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE MANUALLY SWITCHED FROM GEAR TO GEAR AND THEN DROVE FINE. THE THE VEHICLE STARTS DOING THE SAME THING AFTER WARMING UP. NOW REVERSE AND 3RD ARE OUT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS WARM. IVE HAD SENSORS BANDS AND OTHER THINGS REPLACED. EVERYTHING SHORT OF A NEW TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED. NOW I CANT FIND A TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP THAT WILL REBUILD IT DUE TO SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS THEY DO NOT WANT TO PUT A WARRANTY ON IT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM. IT NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. SOMETHING IS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE OR LICENSED TECHNICIANS WOULD REPAIR THEM AND WOULDNT CARE TO OFFER A WARRANTY. MY VEHICLE HAS HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS OFF AND ON SINCE 2017. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT ALL THE COMPLAINTS HAVE NOT RESULTED IN A RECALL.

I HAVE A 2007 FORD MUSTANG WITH 8101.9 MILES. I ONLY DRIVE THIS VEHICLE DURING WARM SEASONS. I NOTICE THIS SPRING THAT MY REAR WIDOWS IS PULLING AWAY FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP.I CALLED A WINDOW REPAIR SHOP FOR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A SIMPLE REPAIR AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE ENTIRE TOP WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE TOLD ME THAT DUE TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP SHRINK OVER TIME THAT THE WINDOW PULLS AWAY FROM THE WINDOW. THEY STATED THAT FORDS HAS CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WITH NEAR MODELS THEN MINE TO STOP THIS ISSUE. HE TOLD ME TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE ON MY CAR IT WOULD COST $2000.00. I FIND THAT NOT FAIR THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOE THIS ISSUE SINCE ITS A DEFECT IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AND NOT MY FAULT. THIS ISSUE HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PRODUCT AND NOT MINE. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. I WAS DRIVING AROUND OUR LOCAL LAKE DOING 25 MPH. I HAD JUST COME AROUND A CURVE AND WAS HEADED FOR ANOTHER CURVE PRETTY QUICKLY. ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED SPEEDING UP ON ITS OWN. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND I HIT THE BRAKES TO TRY TO SLOW DOWN AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE CAR CONTINUED TO SPEED UP ON ITS OWN. MY SPEED GOT UP TO ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN I CAME UP ON A CURVE. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AGAIN AND TRIED TO TURN THE WHEEL BUT I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE CAR AT THIS POINT. IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND I MISSED THE CORNER AND LANDED IN A POND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE IN ABOUT 3 1/2 FEET OF WATER. MY CAR WAS THEN SUBMERGED UP THE TOP OF THE TRUNK IN WATER.

when took the car for Pa. state inspection. was told it couldnt pass because of the struts in front end were bad and mustang where known for that and at the time the mileage was low, it now as 38000 plus miles,that was a couple of years ago that I was told that.mileage at that time 33969

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle could not be inspected for 8–16 weeks. In addition, the contact was informed that dealer appointments were booked. The contact stated that he recently contacted the dealer again; however, the dealer denied performing any recall repairs on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. I HAD BOTH DRIVER & PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS REPLACED AT BOB SWOPE FORD IN ELIZABETHTOWN, KY 42701. THE LAST ONE BEING DONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN MARCH 2019. I HAVE BEEN GETTING THESE NOTIFICATIONS THAT SAY I HAVEN'T HAD IT DONE. I CALLED BOB SWOPE FORD AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT HAS BEEN DONE AND THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE BEEN TELEPHONED AND I HAVE TOLD THEM WHERE I HAD IT DONE AND I AM STILL GETTING NOTIFICATIONS. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?

A BROKEN BLIND CAN ALLOW THINGS TO FALL DOWN INTO THE GEAR SECTOR, THAT COULD CAUSE GEAR SELECTION OR PARK NOT TO WORK PROPERLY. STATIONARY OR MOVING I DON'T SEE HOW THIS IS A THIS IS A UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE PART. TAKATA RECALL I AM A FORD MUSTANG OWNER OF A 2007 AND THERE IS A AIR BAG RECALL ON IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND METAL SHRAPNEL POURED OUT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LEFT ARM INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS FIXED SINCE 4/2018 ALL STAR FORD IN PRAIRIEVILLE LA REPEATEDLY TELLS ME IT WILL TAKE 60 TO 90 DAYS FOR PARTS TO ARRIVE. I HAVE GONE ALL THIS TIME WITHOUT THE USE OF THE CAR.ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I HAVE CALLED TWICE THE FORD SAMES DEALERSHIP IN BASTROP TX TO GET THIS REPAIR DONE. THE FIRST TIME I ACTUALLY WENT IN AS I WAS INFORMED TO DO SO. WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO BE INFORMED THAT THE PART WASN'T IN THE SHOP AND THEY WOULD CALL WHEN IT WAS. I HAVE NOW CALLED TO GET BOTH AIRBAGS REPAIRED AS EACH TIME I TAKE OFF I LOSE PAY. ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR MY TIME OFF OR A RENTAL CAR? I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER AND THAT THERE WAS NO ETA AND AS SOON AS THEY WERE AVAILABLE THEY WOULD CALL ME. I MADE THE CALL ON AUGUST 27, 2018 HERE IT IS OCTOBER 3 WITH STILL NO CALL BACK. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET THE REPAIRS DONE WHEN THE REPAIR SHOP CAN'T GET THE PARTS IN AND CALL THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD MUSTANG. EACH TIME IT RAINED, WATER ENTERED INTO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR PANELS, THE TRUNK, PILLAR PANEL, THE HEADLINER BORDER PANEL, AND THE CARPET. THE CARPET BEGAN TO RUST DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO VICKSBURG FORD LINCOLN (LOCATED AT 2431 N FRONTAGE RD, VICKSBURG, MS 39180, (601) 636-5323) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT COOLANT WAS LEAKING UNDER THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT ONTO THE FLOOR. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE HEATER HOSES OR THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 280,000. *DT THE CONSUMER STATED MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL DAMAGES DUE TO WATER LEAKS RADIO, WINDOWS, AND BATTERY. AND ALSO ALTERNATOR, TRANSMISSION, AND THERMOSTAT FOR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. *TR
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT NOR DID IT CONTACT ANY OBJECT, VEHICLE OR OTHERWISE. I WAS SIMPLY DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT THE POSTED SPEED, UNDER DRY CONDITIONS, ON A STRAIGHT ASPHALT 2 LANE PUBLIC ROAD WHEN THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. THE FORD DEALER INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY WOULD SERVICE IT BY REPLACING THE AIRBAG AND DEFECTIVE INFLATOR, WHEREBY THE INFLATOR IS UNDER A RECALL. AFTER DROPPING OFF MY VEHICLE I WAS CONTACTED BY THE DEALER TO TELL ME FORD MOTOR COMPANY WOULD NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE THE AIRBAG MODULE; AND IT WAS MY (THE CONSUMER) RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG MODULE.
I AM REPORTING SHIMMY IN FRONT DUE TO STRUTS. I RESEARCHED AND NOTICED THE STRUTS ARE BEING RECALLED AND REPLACED FOR THIS MODEL OF FORD MUSTANG. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THESE FRONT STRUTS REPLACED UNDER THE NHTSA RECAL, ALONG WITH A PASSENGER REAR TIRE MONITOR. I CAN NOT GET THE TIRE MONITOR LIGHT TO GO OFF. MY CELL NUMBER IS (XXXXX). SINCE FEBRUARY 2017, I HAVE WRITTEN REGULARLY VIA EMAIL WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER OF PACIFICO FORD OF PHILADELPHIA PA ABOUT HAVING NHTSA RECALL 16V384 (PASSENGER AIRBAG) APPLIED TO MY VEHICLE, A 2007 MUSTANG SHELBY GT. OVER A PERIOD OF 17 MONTHS, I HAVE NOTICED RESPONSES THAT INDICATE THE DEALER IS EITHER OVERWHELMED WITH THESE INQUIRIES, IS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING PARTS TO SATISFY THE GOVERNMENT'S RECALL, OR IS OTHERWISE UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO PERFORM THEM. IT HAS BEEN 17 MONTHS SINCE I HAVE ASKED THE DEALER ABOUT APPLYING THIS RECALL. IT HAS BEEN 25 MONTHS SINCE RECALL 16V384 WAS ISSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT. FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS SENT ME A LETTER INDICATING THAT I MUST AVOID PLACING PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I NEED NHTSA'S HELP.
AFTER FEWER THAN 25,000 MILES MY CLUTCH BEGAN SLIPPING SEVERLY
DEALER WAS CONTACTED FOR REPLACEMENT OF PASSENGER AIRBAG. DEALER ESTIMATES IT WILL BE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS UNTIL THE REPAIR CAN BE MADE. FORD IS PROVIDING A RENTAL VEHICLE, BUT DRIVER MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD OR 18 YEARS OLD WITH A WAIVER. PROBLEM: MY DAUGHTER IS 17 AND 6+ MONTH WAITING PERIOD IS UNACCEPTABLE.
FORD CONTINUES TO MAIL MY RECALL NOTICES TO AN ADDRESS THAT I HAVE NEVER LIVED AT. THIS IS MY 2ND COMPLAINT TO YOU ABOUT THIS MATTER. FORD USES A 3RD PARTY TO OBTAIN THEIR MAILING INFORMATION AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO CHANGE MY ADDRESS. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY USE THE DMV REGISTRATION RECORDS BUT MY RENEWALS ARE MAILED TO ME AT MY CORRECT ADDRESS. YOU NEED TO INVESTIGATE HOW MANY FORD OWNERS ARE NOT GETTING NOTIFIED ABOUT THEIR RECALLS DUE TO FORD'S MISMANAGEMENT OF THIS ISSUE.
I WAS INFORMED VIA LETTER DATED MARCH 2018 BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY, DEARBORN, MI THAT THE PARTS FOR RECALL 16S26 WERE NOW AVAILABLE AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS AUTHORIZED MY DEALER TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG, I CALLED RIGHT AWAY AND AGAIN TODAY JUNE 8,2018 AND AM TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN CARE TO TAKE MY NAME OR ANY INFO TO CALL ME, TIRED OF WAITING,
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED AT MULTIPLE FORD DEALERSHIPS SINCE 2017, AND HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL IN GETTING THE REPAIRS MADE. RECENTLY THE VEHICLE WAS IN A HEAD ON ACCIDENT (IMPACTED THE DRIVERS SIDE OF AN ACURA) WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHILE GOING APPROX 45 MPH, AND THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY DURING THIS INCIDENT WHICH IS AN ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED BY THE RECALL BEING REPAIRED. *DSY - (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS
TAKATA RECALL CALLED STARTING IN MAY 2018 LABELLE FORD IN LABELLE, FL TO ARRANGE THE RECALL REPAIR AND WAS CONTINUALLY PLACED AND LEFT ON HOLD OR HUNG UP AFTER NOTIFYING THEM IT WAS ABOUT THE RECALL. IN JUNE 2018 I CALLED SAM GALLOWAY FORD IN FT. MYERS, FL AND THEY TOOK MY INFORMATION AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN THEY HAD PARTS. AS OF NOVEMBER 1 2018 I HAVE NOT GOT A RESPONSE FROM THEM. I CONTINUALLY RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS FROM FORD CLAIMING THAT PARTS ARE IN AND TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS, YET THE DEALER CLAIMS NO PARTS AVAILABLE YET. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY, BUT NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. PRIOR TO THE CRASH, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
