THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED NOTICES IN 2015 AND 2016 ABOUT AIRBAG RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE. IT IS MAY OF 2018 AND STILL CANNOT FIND A DEALERSHIP WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE THAT HAS PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. 3 YEARS WITH NO PARTS IS ABSURD. I HAVE CALLED 3 DEALERSHIPS EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR 3 YEARS TRYING TO GET THESE PARTS REPLACED WITH NO SUCCESS. WHAT MORE DO I NEED TO DO IN ORDER ACTUALLY HAVE THE PARTS REPLACED?

I WAS FOLLOWING MY WIFE TO THE JEEP DODGE CHEROKEE DEALERSHIP TO GET HER RECALL TAKING CARE OF. ON THE WAY THERE AT THE OFF RAMP OF 575 AND RIVERSTONE PARKWAY I MADE A RIGHT TURN TO GET OFF ON THE RAMP TO EXIT AND I HEARD A LOUD THUD AND THE MOTOR ACCELERATED VERY LOUD AND ODD SOUNDING. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE ONLY THING I COULD DO TO KEEP FROM RUNNING INTO ANYONE WAS SLAM ON THE BRAKES WHEN I DID THAT THE BREAKS GAVE A LOUD SCREECH AND WAS VERY SLOW TO STOP. I ENDED UP HITTING 3 CARS ON THE LEFT SIDE NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED NOR DID ANY OF THE SEATBELT LOCK SO THE ONLY THING I HAD TO STOP ME FROM HITTING MY HEAD AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TO PUT MY HANDS OUT IN FRONT OF ME ON THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN THE IMPACT HAPPEN IT WAS SO FIERCE THAT MY RIGHT HAND GAVE OUT AND WAS SNATCHED OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND I DAMAGED MY RIGHT ARM ON THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN. STILL KIND OF HURTS AND I STILL HAVE SCARS.

AS A RESULT, THE DEFROST OR HEATER FAILED TO WORK, MAKING THE VEHICLE IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE, BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD STAYED FROZEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR IN 2007 ABOUT A WEEK LATER GOT OFF THE FREEWAY GOT TO THE STOP LIGHT THE CAR SHUT OFF NO WARNING SIGNS, I WAS ABLE TO START THE RIGHT UP. THE CAR HAS DONE THIS A FEW TIMES (6) NO MECHANIC CAN TELL WHY THIS HAPPENS. WHEN IT RAINS WATER LEAKS FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD PASSENGER SIDE ALL OVER THE FLOOR. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 1 YEAR NOW.
THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, YESTERDAY BEING THE MOST RECENT. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR WILL DROP INTO LIMP HOME MODE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT. THIS 2007 MUSTANG WAS REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN BUT WAS KEPT IN BONITA SPRINGS, FLORIDA CONTINUOUSLY FROM 2009 THROUGH 2013. MAINTENANCE WORK FOR THE MUSTANG WAS PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL FORD DEALER IN ESTERO, FLORIDA DURING THAT TIME. THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 8,698 MILES. OUR CONCERN IS THAT ONLY THOSE VEHICLE REGISTERED IN STATES SUCH AS FLORIDA ARE BEING COVERED FOR THIS VERY DANGEROUS AIR BAG PROBLEM. WE BELIEVE THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO AT LEAST VEHICLES USED IN THE AFFECTED STATES. *TR

I STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, THEN MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN, MY CAR STARTED SLIDING ON THE ICE IN THE STREET, I TURNED THE WHEELS HARD LEFT TO AVOID A CAR PARKED ON THE STREET, THEN I BELIEVE I TRIED TURNING RIGHT TO STAY ON THE STREET, UNFORTUNATELY I HIT A TREE WITH THE RIGHT SIDE OF FRONT BUMPER HARD ENOUGH TO PUSH THE WHEEL BACK ABOUT 2-3 FEET. THE AIR BAG DID NOT GO OFF AND THE SEATBELT ALLOWED MY CHEST TO HIT THE STEERING WHEELING CAUSING A CHEST WALL CONTUSION AND EXACERBATION OF MY LOW BACK PAIN (I HAD A FUSION OF 2 DISCS WITH COMPLICATIONS OF CELLULITIS AND OSTEOMYELITIS POST-OP), ALONG WITH PAIN IN MY LEFT HIP REPLACEMENT BECAUSE MY KNEE HIT THE DASH. I ALSO HAVE HAD OFF AND ON NUMBNESS IN MY RIGHT LITTLE FINGER WHICH I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS FROM SOMETHING IN MY SHOULDER OR SOMETHING IN MY NECK SINCE THE SURGERY. I WILL HAVE TO LET MY DOCTOR KNOW THIS WHEN I SEE HIM AS A FOLLOW-UP FROM THE ER. I ALSO WILL BE LETTING THE DOCTOR OR N.P. I SEE AT THE PAIN CLINIC I GO TO OF THIS FACT. THE ER PROVIDER ALSO SAID I HAD SOME DEGREE OF "WHIPLASH". BOTH THE AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT FAILED TO PROTECT ME FROM INJURY. I HAVE SENT A EMAIL TO FORD BUT AM WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A LACERATION ON THE LEFT HAND, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
THE STRIPES OVER THE TOP OF THE BODYWORK HAVE CORRODED AND THIS IS THE 2ND REPLACEMENT OF THEM. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THE MANUFACTURER, FORD AND ORCAL. THIS IS COMMON TO SHELBY GTS FROM 2007 AND AFFECTED CARS IN CALIFORNIA. THEY HAVE DECIDED TO NOT WARRANTY IT AND ARE FORCING OWNERS TO REPLACE. THIS IS A 5000 DOLLARS, IN SOME CASES, ISSUE. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I HAVE HAD THEM REPLACED AND IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CARE OF THE VEHICLE. FOLLOWING THEIR INSTRUCTIONS, I HAD THE SAME RESULTS. THE VEHICLE WHILE SHIFTING GEARS IS IN 3RD GEAR IS CHANGING RPM'S. THE RPM'S ARE MOVING VASTLY FROM LOWER END TO TOP END. THE CAR HAS VERY LOW MILES AND RECENTLY PURCHASED 7 MONTHS AGO AND ONLY PLACED 3000 MILES SINCE PURCHASE. THE WARRANTY COMPANY WILL NOT COVER THE PROBLEM. I REACHED OUT TO FORD BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME FORUMS THAT STATE THIS PART THAT IS MAKING CAR DO THIS IS THE CLUTCH AND GIVES OUT VERY EARLY AFTER MANUFACTURING OF THE CAR, THEY SAID THEY ARE UNABLE TO HELP ME BUT IF THERE IS A RECALL THEY WILL LET US KNOW. FORD SHELBY GT500 2007, ACCELERATOR STUCK! WHILE GOING AROUND SOME CARS ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY AT FIRST I DIDN'T BOTHER TO DOWNSHIFT AND DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. WHEN I REALIZED I NEEDED TO DOWNSHIFT AND TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS WHILE DEPRESSING THE CLUTCH THE RPM'S WENT UP AND I IMMEDIATELY KNEW THE GAS PEDAL WAS STUCK DOWN. IT FELT LIKE IT SNAPPED OR LOCKED DOWN. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR BY HOLDING THE CLUTCH DOWN AND TAPPING (MORE LIKE STOMPING) THE GAS PEDAL TILL IT RELEASED. I FEEL FORTUNATE THAT THE SHELBY HAS A GOVERNOR THAN KEEPS THE RPM'S UNDER 6,000. MY PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH OLDER CARS IN MY TEENS WITH STICKY ACCELERATOR CABLES WAS ALSO A LIFE SAVER. I SHOW THIS CAR AND FLOOR MATS ARE A NON ISSUE REMOVED WHILE DRIVING TO PRESERVE THEM. AFTER I GOT HOME I WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE WITH CAR SAFELY TURNED OFF. WILL CONTACT FORD DEALER TOMORROW. *TR

THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITH ABRUPT FORCE AND A METAL FRAGMENT DISLODGED, CAUSING INJURY TO THE DRIVER'S LEG WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UPHOLSTERER WHO STATED THAT THE DOOR PANELS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I AM STILL RECEIVING AIRBAG NOTICES AND FORD HAS NOT SUPPLIED THE NECESSARY REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS TO MY DEALERSHIP. IT HAS BEEN OVER 3 YEARS OF NOTICES. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT RESPOND. I CANNOT ACCESS ANYONE BY PHONE OR ONLINE. I WANT THE NOTICES TO STOP OR TO INCLUDE THE INFO ABOUT WHEN THE AIRBAGS CAN BE REPLACED. FORD IS PLACING THIS CUSTOMER IN DAILY DANGER. ONE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP EVEN TOLD ME TO KEEP DRIVING MY CAR, IT IS OK!!! THE NOTICES SAY REPLACEMENT IS URGENT BUT DO NOT SUPPLY THE AIRBAGS TO DEALERSHIPS. FORD IS SCAMMING THIS CUSTOMER.
CAME BEHIND SLOWER MOVING VEHICLE, PUSHED PEDAL DOWN TO PASS PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. THE CAR LITERALLY WAS DRIVING ITSELF SPEED KEPT INCREASING DRAMATICALLY. SLAMMED ACCELERATOR PEDAL HARD AS I HIT THE BRAKE. FINALLY RELEASED. PULLED OVER NO CARPETING OR MATS INTERFERING WITH THE PEDAL OPERATION. TODAY, 7/25 IT HAPPENED AGAIN BUT MORE VIOLENTLY. SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN ENGAGING PASSING GEAR. I HAVE DRIVEN FOR OVER 45 YEARS AS OVER THE ROAD SALES ENGINEER, NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH TOTAL LACK OF VEHICLE CONTROL. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS NOW SINCE THE RECALL LETTER I RECEIVED FROM FORD, BUT THEY STILL CONTINUE TO TELL ME THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE.IT IS BOTH FRUSTRATING TO ME, AND DANGEROUS FOR ANY PASSENGER THAT I HAVE IN MY VEHICLE. I SIMPLY WANT TO HAVE THAT FAULTY AIRBAG REPLACED.

I WAS AT THE EXIT OF A PARKING LOT AND WAITING TO TURN OUT ONTO THE STREET. WHEN I BEGAN TO TURN, MY CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE WAY FASTER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE. I HIT THE BRAKES BUT MY CAR WASN'T SLOWING DOWN AND KEPT ACCELERATING. I HIT THE "OFF" ON MY CRUISE CONTROL THINKING MAYBE IT BECAME ACTIVE BUT NOTHING HAPPENED, AS I BEGAN TO COME CLOSE TO THE CAR AHEAD OF ME I TURNED LEFT ONTO THE NEXT STREET STILL HITTING MY BRAKES (AT THIS POINT I HAD GONE A BLOCK AND A HALF WITH MY BRAKE PEDAL PRESSED IN). AS I TURNED, I HAD TROUBLE CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE I ENDED UP HITTING THE CURB WITH MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. AFTER THE IMPACT THE ACCELERATION HAD STOPPED, I COULD HEAR SOMETHING HAD BROKEN, AND FELT IT AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN BECAUSE MY CAR WASN'T TRAVELING STRAIGHT AND I COULDN'T TURN EASILY. THERE WERE KIDS IN THE STREET THAT I DIDN'T SEE BEFORE I HAD TURNED, I SWERVED AGAIN TO AVOID THEM (LUCKILY JUST MISSING THEM BECAUSE AS STATED BEFORE, I COULDN'T TURN IT VERY EASILY) AND MADE IT ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN THE BLOCK BEFORE MY CAR CAME TO A FULL STOP (THE ENTIRE TIME STILL HITTING MY BRAKES). I DID NOT SEE THE ACTUAL SPEED I WAS GOING, THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING RAPIDLY AND TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. THE CAR DEFECT HAS COST ME APPROXIMATELY $4000.00 IN CAR REPAIR FEES AND ALSO DEPRECIATION. IT WAS SUCH A HARD IMPACT THAT I EXPECTED MY AIR BAGS TO BLOW, BUT THEY DIDN'T. I HOPE THEY ARE NOT DEFECTIVE AS WELL. *TR

THE SMART JUNCTION BOX ON MY 2007 FORD MUSTANG SHORT CIRCUITED DUE TO A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT WHICH CAUSES THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT KICK PANEL TO FLOOD. THERE IS A RUBBER STOPPER WHICH REGULATES WATER FLOW INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT DURING RAIN STORMS. THE STOPPER IS LOCATED UNDER THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS NEAR THE CABIN AIR FILTER. WHEN THE STOPPER BECOMES CLOGGED DUE TO THE ELEMENTS, IT FLOODS THE AREA AND SENDS WATER IN THROUGH THE CABIN AIR FILTER. THE WATER WILL THEN POUR DIRECTLY ON AN ELECTRICAL UNIT - THE SMART JUNCTION BOX. THE SMART JUNCTION BOX CONTROLS ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE CAR, THE HORN, THE ALARM, AND A FEW AUXILIARY ITEMS. DUE TO THE MANUFACTURER'S OVERSIGHT MY CAR HAS A MALFUNCTIONING HORN AND ALARM. I WROTE DIRECTLY TO FORD AND CALLED THEIR CUSTOMER CARE LINE ABOUT THIS CONCERN; FORD DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS AN AT FAULT SAFETY ISSUE AT THIS TIME. MULTIPLE FORUMS THAT I'VE FOUND ONLINE WILL SUPPORT THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THANK YOU. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, THE CAR INTERMITTENTLY SHUTS OFF AND THERE IS TOTAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY THE ALTERNATOR AND MANY OTHER PARTS INCLUDING THE ON BOARD COMPUTER IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIX IT. I LOVE MY MUSTANG AND WANT IT TO WORK IT BECOMES DIFFICULT WHEN IT WON'T BECAUSE OF SOMETHING THAT NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT. *JS
