TAKATA RECALL - IT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE THAT SHRAPNEL COULD KILL ME INSTEAD OF THE ACCIDENT VIA AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AND NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE OVER TWO YEARS LATER?? THIS NEEDS IMMEDIATE ACTION FOR REPLACEMENT!
TAKATA RECALL, IT IS NOW GOING ON A YEAR AND A HALF AND SINCE RECALL AND NO REPLACEMENT AIRBAG.
I RECEIVED A NOTICE OF AIRBAG RECALL SAFETY RECALL 16S26 FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. I HAVE CALLED ADVANTAGE FORD SEVERAL TIMES IN JULY AND AGAIN TODAY TRYING TO GET THIS RECALL DONE. TODAY I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT IN AND THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THEY COME IN.
TAJATA RECALL. FORD NOTIFIED ME IN JULY 2016 THAT THE AIR BAGS COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACE. TO DATE, OCTOBER 30, 2017, THEY CAN NOT EFFECT THE REPAIR. I CALLED A DEALER TODAY AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND WILL NOT BE FOR SOME TIME. I CANNOT USE THE CAR WITHOUT UNDUE STRESS.
TAKATA RECALL - RECALL FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY DATED JUNE 1 2016. 16+ MONTHS LATER AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL FROM FORD. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS BEING ADDRESSED IN A "TIMELY MANNER"
TAKATA RECALL: NOTHING HAS HAPPENED (YET), BUT I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL REGARDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS, WHICH POSE A DANGER TO ANY PASSENGERS IN THAT SEAT AND THAT THE RECALL IS FROM JUNE 2016. THIS IS OVER ONE YEAR NOW AND I CONTACTED MY FORD DEALERSHIP. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND THAT FORD HAS NOT PROVIDED A TIMELINE FOR THE SHOP IN THE NEAR FUTURE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAGS. I AM SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR A LETTER, WHEN I WAS NOT EVEN INFORMED IN JUNE 2016. I ONLY FOUND OUT NOW, BECAUSE WE RECEIVED A NOTE IN THE MAIL THAT TAKATA IS RESTRUCTURING / FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION AND THAT WE MAY NEED TO FILE OUR CLAIM WITH THEM BY DECEMBER 27, 2017. SO, THEY ARE GETTING OFF THE HOOK AND FORD HAS NO TIMELINE. MEANWHILE, WE ARE DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH NO MEANS TO FIX IT OURSELVES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MITCHELL SELIG FORD (801 BLOOMFIELD AVE, WINDSOR, CT 06095, PHONE NUMBER: (860) 688-3551), BUT THE PART FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE DEALER WOULD CONTACT HIM WHEN THE PART BECAME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL: ON JULY 2016 RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM FORD REGARDING THE NTHSA RECALL 16V-384. THE FORD IDENTIFICATION NUMBER IS RECALL NOTICE 16S26. I CHECKED WITH MY FORD DEALER ON RECALL FIX STATUS ON JULY 2017 AND AGAIN ON OCTOBER 2017. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR THAT THE RECALL WAS IDENTIFIED AND THERE IS NO FIX YET. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING ANYONE (SPECIALLY MY WIFE) IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND SO FAR I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET A FIXED DATE FROM FORD. IF THEIR NEW CARS DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE, WHY DON'T FORD AND TAKATA HAVE A FIX FOR THE OLD CARS TOO ? AS A SIDE NOTE, I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG. THAT ONE FORD FIXED SOME TIME AGO.
WE WERE INFORMED OF THE RECALL FOR THE AIRBAGS OVER A YEAR AGO AND STILL THERE ARE NO REPLACMEENTS AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I AM VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE EXTENT OF TIME THAT IS TAKING TO REPLACE THESE PARTS ON FORD VEHICLES. I KNOW OF CHRYSLER VEHICLES OF EQUAL AGE THAT HAVE HAD BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACED, YET ONLY THE DRIVER HAS BEEN REPLACED IN MY FORD. I AM IN A HIGH HUMIDITY ZONE AND WOULD LIKE TO GET MY VEHICLE PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACED IN A TIMELY MANNER. I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS ISSUE IS BEING GREATLY DISMISSED.

I BOUGHT MY MUSTANG FROM NAPLETON'S IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS,IL. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T GIVE ME A CAR FAX BECAUSE THEY WERE RUNNING LOW ON PAPER. I JUST RECEIVED A RECALL IN THE MAIL FROM 2016 ABOUT AIRBAG. I'M NOT SURE IF WHAT THE CARFAX IS ON MY CAR BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO GET ONE OFF THE INTERNET NOT KNOWING I'D HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. THERE WAS NO DISCLOSURE THAT THIS MUSTANG HAD A RECALL THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH. I NEED HELP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DURING AFTERNOON RUSH HOUR, MY CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AT HIGH RATE (STUCK AT 4000-5000 RPM) CAUSING ME TO SPEED DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH VERY LITTLE ABILITY TO STOP AS I HIT THE BRAKES BUT COULD NOT OVERCOME THE ACCELERATION. THINKING AS QUICKLY AS I COULD, I THREW IT INTO NEUTRAL TO BRING THE CAR TO A CRAWL AND SLOWLY ROLL TO THE NEXT EXIT AND THEN TO A STOP. I WAS LUCKY TO THINK SO QUICKLY BECAUSE OTHERWISE I COULD HAVE RUN INTO THE CARS IN FRONT OF ME AS THE CAR SPED DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH NO ABILITY TO STOP. I FEAR FOR OTHERS THAT MAY HAVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IF THERE WAS A STOP AHEAD, IT COULD EASILY END IN LOSS OF LIFE. ONCE SAFELY ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE CAR, ONLY TO HAVE IT ROCCO TONGUE TO REV. AFTER TAKING IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD THAT MY THROTTLE ELECTRONICS HAD MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE THROTTLE TO GET STUCK OPEN. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. FORD'S HANDLING OF IT, WHICH WAS TO SAY THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL-- FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL RECALL NOTICES (SAFETY RECALL NUMBER 15S21/ NHTSA NUMBER 15V319) REGARDING DRIVER AND FRONT SEAT PASSENGER AIR BAGS. MY DEALER PREFORMED THE RECALL ON THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG BUT FOR 2 YEARS HAS BEEN TELLING ME FORD HAS NOT SENT THE PARTS TO PERFORM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL. I HAD THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG REPAIR COMPLETED. ON 8/25/17 I CALLED FORD DIRECTLY. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HAD THE PARTS TO FIX THE RECALL AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET THEM. YET THEY CONTINUE TO SEND ME RECALL NOTICES THAT SAY FAILURE TO FIX THE RECALL CAN RESULT " SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." SEEMS LIKE FORD IS NOT MAKING A SERIOUS EFFORT TO FIX THIS KNOWN DANGEROUS CONDITION. ALSO, HOW MANY VEHICLES WILL CHANGE HANDS WHERE THE NEW OWNER WILL NEVER RECEIVE NOTICE OF THE RECALL OR THE DANGERS ARISING FROM FAILURE TO REPAIR THE RECALL?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY WERE NOT SURE WHEN THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VALUE AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. WATER LEAK ISSUE. WHEN IT RAINS, I GET A LOT OF WATER ON MY PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR THAT GOES TO THE BACK, IT'S REALLY BAD. IS THIS A RECALL ISSUE? I ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR A YEAR.
TAKATA RECALL WHY HAS IT TAKEN ALMOST TEN YEARS TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PASSENGER AIR BAG IN MY 2008 MUSTANG.
THERE IS A PIN THAT HOOKS ON TO THE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD AND THE PIN CONNECTS TO CLUTCH PEDAL PIN WEARS OUT AND BREAKS AT THAT WELD WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE FUNCTION OF FULLY ENGAGING THE CLUTCH TO FAIL THERE FOR THERE IS NO SHIFTING I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE OTHER DAY AND THIS PARTICULAR PART HAS FAILED MAKING IT HARD FOR ME TO GET THE VEHICLE OUT OF GEAR OR INTO ANY GEAR.
I HAVE BEEN GETTING NOTICES FOR SEVERAL YEARS ABOUT MY AIRBAGS. ONLY HAVE ONE AVAILABLE. THEY SEEM TO NEVER GET THE OTHER ONE. I ONLY WANT TO TAKE MY CAR IN ONCE AND GET BOTH REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME. I HAVE 2 MUSTANGS FROM THE SAME YEAR.

THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY BROKE AT ONE OF THE WELDS WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A CITY STREET. THE PEDAL LOST TOTAL FUNCTION AND FELL TO THE FLOOR AND I COULDN'T SHIFT GEARS. WHILE STILL IN MOTION, I ATTEMPTED TO PULL THE PEDAL UP USING THE TOP OF MY FOOT. THE PEDAL THEN REVERTED ALL THE WAY UP UNDER THE DASH AND COULD NOT BE REACHED AT ALL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND PARK THE CAR INTO THE NEAREST LOT.

I WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS CAR ACCIDENT ON SUNDAY OF LAST WEEK. WHILE IN THE RIGHT-HAND LANE OF INTERSTATE 95 IN BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, MY 2008 MUSTANG WAS HIT IN THE REAR BY AN APPARENTLY SPEEDING MOTORIST. I WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 55-60 MPH AND ACCELERATING TO ACHIEVE PACE WITH THE OTHER CARS ON THE HIGHWAY. MY CAR WAS STRUCK IN THE REAR, AND PROPELLED FORWARD STRIKING A MINIVAN IN FRONT TO ME. I WAS PUSHED OFF THE ROAD AND INTO THE SEA GRAPE STAND, AND THEN STRUCK ONE OF THE POSTS ON A HIGHWAY INFORMATION SIGN. MY CAR WAS TOTALED. (SEE THE PHOTO) NEITHER AIRBAG IN THE CAR DEPLOYED. I HAD RECEIVED NOTICES FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY THAT MY CAR HAD TAKADA AIRBAGS IN IT, AND THAT THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED. I WAS NOTIFIED APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AGO THAT REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WERE AVAILABLE. SO, I WENT TO THE AUTO NATION FORD DEALER AND GARAGE LOCATED ON LINTON BLVD, AND INTERSTATE 95 IN DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA TO HAVE THE BAG REPLACED. I DROPPED THE CAR OFF IN THE MORNING AND PICKED IT UP LATE IN THE AFTERNOON, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BAG HAD BEEN REPLACED. I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR EVER SINCE WITH THE BELIEF THAT I HAD A NON-TAKADA FUNCTIONING DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG. NEITHER THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG NOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED DURING THE ACCIDENT. HOWEVER, EACH OF THE OTHER THREE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT HAD FULL DEPLOYMENT OF THEIR AIR BAGS.IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE AIR BAG REPLACEMENT IN MY CAR BY THE AUTO NATION FORD DEALERSHIP WAS DEFICIENT AND DID NOT MEET CRASH STANDARDS FOR DEPLOYMENT. I AM REQUESTING THAT YOUR AGENCY INVESTIGATE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS AND THE INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES BEING USED BY FORD TO REPLACE AIR BAGS IN THE FORD CARS BEING RECALLED FOR AIR BAG REPLACEMENT.

I FEEL I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY LANDMARK FORD AND I AM IN THE PROCESS OF FILING A LAWSUIT AGAINST LANDMARK FORD.

ONCE FIXED (APPROX 3"MONTHS AGO) I WAS TOLD THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS ALSO RECALLED BUT THERE WAS NO FIX . I TRIED TO TRADE THE CAR IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO TAKE THE CAR IN ON TRADE BECAUSE THERE IS STILL NO FIX AND FORD WOULD NOT ALLOW THE RESELL THE CAR.
