TAKADA RECALL THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED OVER A YEAR AGO AND NOW I AM STILL WAITING TO GET THE PASSENGER SIDE REPLACED. NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE.
IT'S BEEN AT LEAST A YEAR AND A HALF ON THIS RECALL AND I'VE GOTTEN LETTERS SAYING PARTS ARE AVAILABLE YET I CALL MCMULLEN FORD AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THEM AND I'VE GOTTEN MY HONDA CRV FIXED AND IT HAD ONLY 6 MONTHS AND THEY ORDERED THE PART TO INSTALL IN MY VEHICLE SPECIFICALLY. NOW WHY CAN'T A PART BE HELD FOR A SPECIFIC VEHICLE AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP?
I WAS NOTIFIED IN WRITING THAT THE RIGHT FRONTAL AIRBAG HAD BEEN RECALLED AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN THE PARTS CAME IN TO FIX IT. THE LEFT FRONTAL AIRBAG WHICH HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY RECALLED WAS FIXED. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER TWICE SINCE NOTIFICATION AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PARTS NEVER CAME IN AND PROBABLY WOULD NOT. I AM NOW STUCK WITH A MUSTANG WITH A POTENTIAL BOMB IN FRONT OF THE PASSENGER'S SEAT, WITH NO WAY TO FIX IT OR EVEN TO TURN IT OFF.
THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY COMPLETELY WENT OUT AND AT THE SAME TIME THE BRAKING SYSTEM WENT OUT. THE CLUTCH COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED INTO THE DASH. I WAS IN THE MOTION OF MAKING A RIGHT TURN ON A CITY STREET.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2016 NOTIFYING ME OF THE RECALL FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MIKE PATTON FORD IN LAGRANGE GA. THEY REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR ON 08/22/2016. THEY SAID THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND WOULD LET ME KNOW WHEN IT WAS. I HAVE CHECKED BACK SEVERAL TIMES, BUT IT STILL WAS NOT IN STOCK. STILL WAITING. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN SINCE AS I DON'T WANT TO POSSIBLY INJURE SOMEONE RIDING WITH ME.

"TAKATA RECALL" BEEN TRYING TO HAVE FIXED SINCE 2016, BEING TOLD NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE IN PASSENGER SIDE. FORD DEALER SUUPOSEDLY DID INTERIM REPAIR ON DRIVER SIDE. CENTER CAP ON STEERING WHEEL HAS BEEN LOSE, SHAKES AND RATTLES UPON ACCELERATION. AIRBAGS ARE DEADLY. WILL NOT DRIVE CAR. FORS HAS NO PERMANENT FIX. CONTACTED FORD, DEPT. OF JUSTICE, ATTY GENERAL OFFICE, AND WELLS FARGO WHO I HAVE CAR LOAN WITH. ONLY RECVD 1 RESPONSE FROM FORD, SENT THEM THE REQUESTED INFO, WAS PROMISED A RENTAL AND SINCE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK. HAVE BEEN DEQLING WITH WELLS FARGO BECUZ I OWE $9000 ON LOAN, PROMISED TO HELP, WAITED THEN SAID IT WAS MANUFACTURER DEFECT BUT WONT REFINANCE CAR OR HELP IN ANY WAY. THEY WANT ME TO DRIVE A DEADLY VEHICLE, CONTINUE TO PAY FOR IT AND NOT ALLOW ANYONE IN PASSENGER SEAT WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE ISNT FIXED EITHER! GETTING HELP FROM NO O E. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. EVER SINCE THEN THE MIDDLE OF THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOSE AND RATTLES UPON ACCELERATION. THE CAR CONSTANTLY DIES AND NEEDS TO BE JUMP STARTED EVEN AFTER REPLACING 4 NEW BATTERIES. THE LOCAL FORD DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR. I DON'T EVEN THINK THEY DID ANYTHING TO THE DRIVER AIRBAG. I'VE HAVE SENT OVER 15 COMPLAINTS TO NUMEROUS AGENCIES INCLUDING FORD WITH NO RESPONSE BESIDES A LETTER FROM FORD RECEIVED ON APRIL 13 SAYING THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHICH IS A LIE! HENRY AT THE DEALER SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND ARE STILL WAITING FOR THEM. THEY THINK THEY SHOULD BE THERE IN ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AND IT COULD BE UP TO A MONTH OR MONTHS BEFORE THEY RECEIVE THEM.

THE NOTICE INFORMED ME THAT PART 16S26 NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BUT THAT "PARTS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE". THE NOTICE, THEREFORE, STATED THAT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY WOULD NOTIFY ME VIA MAIL WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. IT IS NOW OCTOBER 2017 AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NOT YET SENT ME A LETTER TO INFORM ME THAT PART 16S26 IS AVAILABLE.

THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE EXHAUST PIPE HAS CRACKED AND MUST BE REPLACED AT A COST OF ALMOST $1400. IT SEEMS A PART SO EXPENSIVE SHOULD LAST MORE THAN 75000 MILES, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY WHAT THE CAR HAS ON IT NOW. NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY IT WOULD HAVE CRACKED, BUT A COUPLE OF MUFFLER SHOPS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE SEEN MANY FORD CATALYTIC CONVERTERS CRACK FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS WOULD SEEM TO BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.

IT HAS BEEN ONE YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM FORD FOR NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 THAT THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND COULD RUPTURE IF DEPLOYED. YESTERDAY I WENT TO A LOCAL DEALER FOR THE FOURTH TIME AND WAS INFORMED THAT FORD STILL DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT INFLATORS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. PLEASE DEMAND THAT THEY OBTAIN REPLACEMENT INFLATORS.

TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED NOTICE FROM FORD IN JULY 2016. HAVE FOLLOWED UP WITH THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND TOLD NOTHING THEY CAN DO-FORD HAS NOT RELEASED THE PARTS COMPLAINED DIRECTLY TO FORD AND WAS TOLD PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. COULDN'T OR WOULDN'T TELL ME WHERE MY CAR FALLS ON THE PRIORITY LIST NOR COULD THEY TELL ME WHEN I MIGHT EXPECT TO HEAR FROM THEM. NEITHER FORD NOR THE DEALER HAVE KEPT ME AWARE OF ANY PROGRESS. I HAVE HAD TO PURSUE ALL INFORMATION. ALSO COMPLAINED TO THE ILLINOIS ATTORNEY GENERAL WHO CONTACTED FORD AND FORD RESPONDED THEY WERE AWAITING PARTS. THIS WAS MY DREAM CAR FOR MY WIFE AND I FOR RETIREMENT, AND SHE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RIDE IN IT. I WANT TO BE PRIORITIZED FOR REPLACEMENT PART.
TAKATA RECALL - OVER A YEAR AGO, IN JULY 2016 I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I NEVER RECEIVED A FOLLOW UP LETTER, BUT RECENTLY GOT A NOTICE ON OCTOBER 26, 2017 THAT TK HOLDINGS AND COMPANY AFFILIATES ARE FILING CHAPTER 11. I CALLED THE PALM BAY, FLORIDA FORD DEALER, WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR, INQUIRING AS WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DID NOT KNOW AND SAID I HAD AS MUCH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE RECALL AS THEY DID. I CHECKED THE WWW.AIRBAGRECALL.COM WEB SITE LISTED ON THE TAKATA NOTICE AND FOUND OUT THAT THE REPAIR WAS INCOMPLETE ON MY CAR BECAUSE THE "REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE". IT HAS BEEN OVER 15 MONTH AND NO RESOLUTION FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL. DOESN'T FORD HAVE A DUTY TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE SUPPLIER IN A TIMELY MANNER?

TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED NOTICE IN JULY OF 2016 THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON OUR MUSTANG. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2017 AND THERE IS STILL NO FIX AVAILABLE. THE LETTER STATED THAT IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE AIR BAG COULD RUPTURE CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OF DEATH. WE RECENTLY DECIDED TO TRADE THE CAR IN ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF THE RECALL, THE CAR CAN'T BE RESOLD. SO NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH A DANGEROUS CAR UNTIL FORD DECIDES THIS FIX IS IMPORTANT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION IN JUNE OF 2016. THE DEALER (MALL OF GEORGIA FORD LOCATED AT 4525 NELSON BROGDON BLVD NE, BUFORD, GA, 30518,) STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL - APPARENTLY WE ARE AT THE GREATEST RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH DUE TO THE AGE OF THE CAR AND LOCATION IN A HIGH HUMIDITY AREA. THE CAR CANNOT BE DRIVEN SAFELY. PLEASE ADVISE
THE IGNITION SWITCH CYLINDER FELL COMPLETELY OUT WHILE REMOVING THE IGNITION KEY.
TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED OUR RECALL LETTER IN JUNE OF 2016 FOR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG REPLACEMENT. WE WAITED A YEAR AND CALLED FORD IN JULY OF 2017. THEY SAID THAT TAKATA WAS OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEY WERE HIRING ANOTHER COMPANY TO MAKE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS. WE JUST CALLED AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2017 AND STILL NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE REPAIRED. THEY ALSO TOLD US THAT WE COULD NOT DISABLE THE AIR BAG. SO NO ONE CAN RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, UNLESS YOU WANT TO PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH YOUR LIFE. WE WAITED OVER A YEAR FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG TO BE REPLACED, SO WE ARE COMING UP ON 3 YEARS THAT WE COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR OR HAD LIMITED USE BECAUSE NO ONE IS ABLE TO RIDE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WITHOUT PUTTING THERE LIFE IN DANGER.
I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED INFO ON WHEN AND WHERE TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR.
THIS IS TO REPORT A DELAY IN RECALL 16V384. I'VE BEEN CONTACTING MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED AND BECAUSE THEY ARE WAITING ON A SECOND SET OF PARTS, THEY'VE ADVISED ME TO WAIT. IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR, WHEN WILL THE PASSENGER SIDE BE AVAILABLE TO FIX?
