I GOT A RECALL NOTICE THAT MY AIR BAG NEEDS REPLACING . I LIVE IN GEORGIA WHERE THE TEMPERATURE CAN GET WELL OVER 100 IN SUMMER MONTHS . I'VE TOOK IT TO GET MY AIR BAGS REPLACED AT 2 DEALERS FORD . AND THEY HAVE NOT GOT THE PART IN AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET IT IN . I GOT THAT RECALL NOTICE OVER 6 MONTHS AGO .

IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS TRYING TO GET MY PASSENGER AIR BAG REPLACED THROUGH "FORD OF BELLEVUE" IN WASHINGTON. THEIR SAME ANSWER HAS NOT CHANGED THROUGH MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS OVER THAT TIME, SAYING THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND THAT IT IS A REGIONAL SHORTAGE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. CONSUMERREPORTS REPORTED IN NOVEMBER 2017 THAT "NHTSA SAYS EARLIER AIRBAG SHORTAGES HAVE LARGELY BEEN RESOLVED.". THAT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO AND I AM STILL WAITING. I AM AFRAID TO TAKE ANY PASSENGERS.
DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENT. I CALLED FORD DIRECTLY IN AUGUST 2015 TO FIND OUT WHEN I COULD SCHEDULE MY CAR FOR REPAIR AND WAS TOLD IN Q3 OF 2015 I WOULD BE NOTIFIED. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION. ON DECEMBER 22, 2015 I CALLED FORD AGAIN FOR STATUS AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD NO TIME ESTIMATE ON WHEN THE REPAIR WOULD BE COMPLETED ONLY THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A FIRST CLASS LETTER. I ASKED IF ANYONE AT FORD COULD ESTIMATE THE TIME OF REPAIR AND WAS TOLD NO. I SAID THAT THEY MUST BE RECEIVING A STEADY STREAM OF REPLACEMENT PARTS AND I CONSIDERED THIS A DANGEROUS EVEN LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHEN THE REPAIR WOULD BE COMPLETED.

"TAKATA RECALL". IT IS GOING ON WELL OVER ONE YEAR FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AND FORD STILL DOES NOT KNOW WHEN MY PASSENGER AIR BAG WILL BE REPLACED. IF SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE OF THIS AIR BAG, CONSEQUENCES WILL BE SERIOUS.
"TAKATA RECALL" I AM A CONCERNED PARENT OF TWO TEENAGERS THAT ARE DRIVING CARS EFFECTED BY THE AIRBAG RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER FOR MY SONS FORD MUSTANG IN SEPTEMBER 2015, AND FOR MY DAUGHTERS 2009 HONDA CR-V MARCH 2016. I HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER FORD AND HONDA, AND HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY INFORMATION ABOUT WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A LACK OF INFORMATION BEING PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER, AS WELL AS SPECIFIC INFORMATION BEING PROVIDED BY THE NHTSA. I LIVE IN A DESIGNATED HIGH RISK AREA, AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT MY OPTIONS ARE FOR KEEPING MY CHILDREN SAFE FROM BEING KILLED BY A MALFUNCTIONING AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT.

STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY UPDATE; CALLED THREE SEPARATE FORD DEALERSHIPS ON 3/28/2016: ONE IN VINELAND, NJ SAID PARTS MIGHT BE IN 3RD QUARTER 2016 AT THE EARLIEST ONE IN FREEHOLD, NJ SAID THE DEALERSHIPS WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE, BUT NO TIME FRAME GIVEN. BAYSHORE FORD IN PENNSVILLE, NJ (THE ORIGINAL SELLING DEALERSHIP) SIMPLY SAYS THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN PARTS WILL BE IN AND HAS NO OTHER INFORMATION ON ANY INTERIM REPAIRS THAT CAN BE DONE IN THE MEANTIME.
DRIVING DOWN MARTIN LUTHER KING DR. WHILE APPROACHING A CURVE AT 45 MPH VEHICLE STABILITY AND BRAKES GAVE OUT. AIRBAGS DEPLOYED INCORRECTLY AND CAUSED INJURIES TO MYSELF AND A PASSENGER. SEAT BELTS ARE ALSO NO LONGING WORKING. BRAKES ARE

IF SOMETHING HAPPENS AND THE DRIVER OF OUR VEHICLE IS INJURED/KILLED, LEGAL ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN. WANT THE FAULTY AIR BAG REMOVED AND A WORKING AIR BAG INSTALLED NOW.

FRONT AIR BAG MAY RUPTURE AND DEPLOY METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE DRIVER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR. I CONTACTED FORD AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERN AND THEY SAID IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE. I ASKED FOR LOANER OR A RENTAL UNTIL FORD GOT PARTS TO FIX PROBLEM AND THEY SAID NO. I'M VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THE WAY FORD IS HANDLING THIS.

BOTH REFUSE TO RETURN PHONE CALLS, AND AFTER BEING FORCED TO STAY ON HOLD FOR UPWARDS OF 30 MINUTES, REFUSE TO PUT US ON A LIST OR PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION, BEGINNING IN JULY 2015.

I WAS PARTICIPATING IN A COMMUNITY PARADE, WITH LOTS OF CHILDREN, I WAS MOVING SLOWLY WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED DURING TWO OCCASIONS. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR WITH THE BRAKE THE FIRST TIME AND WITH THE BRAKE AND SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL THE SECOND TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS DECARBONIZED AND REPROGRAMMED BY THE DEALER WITH NO GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. FORD STARTED A CASE FILE: CAS-7491264 ON THE INCIDENT.
VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN IN A PARADE WHEN IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED OR SURGED AT CHILDREN WALKING IN FRONT TWO SEPARATE TIMES. THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY THE BRAKE AND THE SECOND TIME WITH THE BRAKE AND THE GEAR SHIFT TO NEUTRAL. CAR WAS TAKEN TO FORD DEALER, THE COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM, BUT REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER AND DECARBONIZED THE ENGINE WITH NO GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. TAKATA AIR BAG HAS BEEN RECALLED. WE WERE TOLD THIS WOULD BE REMEDIED BY FALL OF 2015, AND WHEN WE ASK THE DEALERSHIP WHEN THE AIRBAG WILL BE REPLACED WE ARE TOLD THEY HAVE NO IDEA AND NOT TO WORRY, THAT THE CAR IS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21/NHTSA RECALL 15V-319. WE ARE CONCERNED THAT THE CAR IS NOT SAFE AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN THE AIR BAG WILL IN FACT BE REPLACED.

NHTSA RECALL 15V-319 STATES THAT IN CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING MAY RUPTURE AND DEPLOY ABNORMALLY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH NECESSITATING DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER SIDE FRONTAL AIRBAG. AN INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE DRIVER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE CAR, TASCA FORD ON PONTIAC AVE IN CRANSTON, RI WHO TOLD ME THEY HAD NO INFORMATION ON THIS RECALL AND SUGGEST I CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. I CALL FORD AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND WERE WORKING WITH THEIR SUPPLIERS TO OBTAIN PARTS TO REMEDY THIS UNSAFE SITUATION, AND THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THEY WERE READY TO HOPEFULLY REPAIR THIS DEFECT. I FEEL UNSAFE NOW DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, AND FEAR FOR MY OWN SAFETY AS WELL AS ANY PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. THE COMPANY WOULD NOT OFFER ME NOR PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR WHILE THEY ARE SEARCHING FOR AN ANSWER. THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS NECESSARY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

WHEN ARE THESE 2008'S GOING TO BE REPAIRED, AS THEY ARE LISTED AS THE MOST VULNERABLE, BECAUSE OF THE YEAR AND THE LOCATION (FLORIDA) OF THE VEHICLE? I AM PARANOID ABOUT DRIVING THE CAR NOW. I RESENT THE FACT THAT FORD DID NOT RECALL THE CAR OFF-THE-ROAD BACK IN '08, LET ALONE THE DEALER RE-SELLING IT TO ME IN 2012. THE HIGH POTENTIAL OF A SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAKES IT A LOST VALUE TO ME IN MANY WAYS. WHY ISN'T FORD BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE? WHY AREN'T THESE CARS BEING PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND REPAIRED BEFORE, THE NEW MODELS ARE BEING SOLD? I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. I WAS NOTIFIED IN JULY 2015 OF THE RECALL. CONTACTED APPEL FORD IN EARLY FEBRUARY ABOUT REPAIR. SAME RESPONSE THAT PART NOT AVAILABLE. WITH ALL OF THE NEW AIRBAG RECALLS WILL I EVER GET MINE DONE?
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION IN JULY 2015 THAT MY VEHICLE WAS PART OF THE TAKATA RECALL. IT IS NOW 8 MONTHS LATER AND FORD STILL DOES NOT HAVE A FIX. I'M CONCERNED THAT MY CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND FORD IS NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY,

TAKATA RECALL 13 MONTHS TO REPAIR DRIVERS SIDE, HAD TO DRIVE TO FLORIDA TO EFFECT THAT REPAIR. PASSENGER SIDE OVER 90 DAYS, NO RESPONSE, NO REPAIR. WILL I HAVE TO DRIVE TO FLORIDA AGAIN IF I WANT THIS FIXED BEFORE ANOTHER YEAR HAS PASSED?
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED BY LETTER FROM FORD ON JULY 2015 REGARDING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21/ NHTSA RECALL 15V-319. IT HAS BEEN 2.5 YEARS AND THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. I CONTINUE TO ASK EACH TIME I BRING MY CAR FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT FORD AND THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS.

AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A PARKED VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,600.

I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN THE SUMMER OF 2,015 FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY STATING THAT THEY HAD FOUND THAT MY 2008 MUSTANG V6 PREMIUM CONVERTIBLE WAS FOUND TO HAVE A DEFECTIVE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG AND THAT IF IT DEPLOYED, I COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED AND THAT IT COULD DEPLOY UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES EVEN IF THE CAR WERE NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THEY SAID I WOULD BE NOTIFIED TO TAKE MY CAR TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER WHEN A REPLACEMENT WAS AVAILABLE. I HAVE CHECKED MANY TIMES SINCE WITH MY LOCAL DEALER (ACTON FORD, ACTON MASSACHUSETTS) AND HAVE BEEN TOLD NO REPLACEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN ANY WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE. I ASKED TO HAVE THE AIR BAG DISABLED AND THEY TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE AND I EVEN OFFERED TO SIGN A RELEASE STATING THAT I WOULD NOT HOLD THEM OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY LIABLE FOR ANY RESULTS IF THE CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A NON FUNCTIONING DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG AND THEY REFUSED THAT AS WELL. SO I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT COULD NOT BE SOLD ON A PRIVATE SALE AND IS ABOUT WORTHLESS AS A TRADE IN FOR A DIFFERENT AUTOMOBILE! I AM DO DISGUSTED WITH THE UTTER LACK OF ANY INTEREST TO RECTIFY THIS POTENTIALLY SERIOUS SITUATION AND I HAVE BEEN A VERY FAITHFUL CUSTOMER OF FORD PRODUCTS AND THIS FORD DEALER.
