TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR REPLACEMENT OF MY PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAGS MANY MONTHS AGO, SAYING THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE PART WAS AVAILABLE. I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION OF AVAILABILITY, SO I JUST CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT FORD *STILL* HASN'T RELEASED THIS PRODUCT FOR REPLACEMENT, SO I AM STILL UNABLE TO GET MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG REPLACED.
RECALL RIGHT AIR BAG I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP (SEVERAL TIMES), IN WHICH, I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE NOTIFICATION THAT TAKATA HAS FILED CHAPTER 11. DEALERSHIP WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND READ FORD'S STATEMENT CONCERNING THE SITUATION. BASICALLY NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER. I STATED THAT THERE WAS LAW SUITS DUE TO THE SEAT BELT INCEDENTS / RUPTURES THAT CAUSED DEATHS AND I AM AFRAID OF THAT SITUATION MYSELF. THIS HAS PREVENTED ME FROM DRIVING THIS CAR I LOVE AND PURCHASED. PLEASE HELP.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICE TO HAVE MY PASSENGER AIRBAG REPLACED. TODAY I CONTACTED FORD DEALERSHIP AND THE REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG HAS BEEN REPLACED BY MY FORD DEALERSHIP ON OCTOBER 17, 2016.
WHEN I ENTER THE YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL OF MY 2010 FORD MUSTANG TO CHECK ON TAKATA RECALLS, I RECEIVE THE MESSAGE THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE DRIVERS AIRBAG. IF I JUST ENTER THE VIN FOR THIS VEHICLE, I RECEIVE THE MESSAGE THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THAT VEHICLE. I RECEIVED (IN THE MAIL) A FEW YEARS AGO THAT THERE WAS AN AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. THE FORD DEALER SAID THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS IN STOCK. I HAVE CHECKED WITH THEM SEVERAL TIMES, AND STILL HAVE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE. HOW AND WHY WAS MY VEHICLE REMOVED FROM THE RECALL? I RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM TK HOLDINGS CONCERNING TAKATA AIRBAGS AND WONDER IF I AM NOW UNABLE TO FILE A CLAIM SHOULD SOMETHING HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE CONCERNING THE AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE HAD MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG REPLACED, BUT CANNOT GET THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG RESPLACED BECAUSE THE DEALER INFORMED ME THEY ARE UNABLE TO GET THE PART. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR, AND I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT TRANSPORTING PASSENGERS IN MY CAR BECAUSE OF THIS.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE HAD THIS RECALL FOR MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SINCE JULY 2016 AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NO RESOLUTION AT THIS TIME.
TAKATA RECALL FOR MY 2010 FORD MUSTANG HAS A RECALL ON THE AIR BAG AND IT HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACE EVERY SINCE THE FIRST NOTICE CAME. I FEEL MY LIFE AND CHILD LIFE IN DANGER BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY TRANSPORTATION WE HAVE AND WE DRIVE THE CAR EVERYDAY.
I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS NOTICES ABOUT THIS RECALL,HOWEVER I CAN NOT GET A FORD DEALER TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, THERE ALWAYS BACKED UP OR THE DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS, THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR, I WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR BY FORD MOTOR CO. UNTIL IT WAS REPAIRED, YET THERE IS ALWAYS AN EXCUSE WHY THEY CANT GET TO IT. THIS CAR HAS SAT IN MY GARAGE LONG ENOUGH, I WANT IT FIXED
TAKATA RECALL MY FORD DEALERSHIP, ARCHIE COCHRIANE OF BILLINGS ,MT WANTS ME TO LEAVE THE CAR THERE FOR UP TO 5 HOURS TO DO A 1/2 HR. JOB. I LOOKED UP THIS RECALL, AND I SEE IT ONLY PAYS FOR .4 OF AND LABOR , SO IT LOOKS LIKE THE DEALER IS BASICALLY SUPPOSES TO DO IT , AT A LOSS . I BET TAKATA AND THE LAWYERS MAKE MUCH MORE THAN THAT. END RESULT THE CUSTOMER GETS SCREWED, AIR BAG DON'T GET REPLACED.
WHEN DRIVING ENGINE REVED UP THEN WHEN TRYING TO TURN LEFT ACROSS ROAD GAS PEDAL WOULD NOT WORK. APPARENTLY THEY HAVE AN ACCELORATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR AND IT WENT BAD. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A FATAL ACCIDENT BY NOT BEING ABLE TO GET OUT OF MOVING TRAFFIC BY GAS PEDAL SUDDENLY QUITTING TO WORK. THEY SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO USE THESE DUE TO SERIOUS. ATURE OF HOW THEY SUDDENLY WITHOUT. ORICE QUIT WORKS G WHILE DRIVING. I WAS ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWY TRYING TO TURN OFF ON THE SIDE THAT CROSSED TWO LANES AND CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING ABRUPTLY WHEN I TURNED AND WOULD. OT ACCELERATE WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET THE AIR BAG CORRECTED I EVEN RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THERE WAS A RECALL WITH THE RECALL NUMBER AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS NO REMEDY YET SO IN ESSENCE WE ARE DRIVING AROUND WITH NO PROTECTION SO WHAT DO WE DO NEXT. ?

I NEED TO HAVE THE RECALLS COMPLETED. I HAVE AN INSPECTION DUE AND WARNING LIGHTS ARE ON AND I WILL BE SHIPPING MY VEHICLE THROUGH THE MILITARY AND THEY WILL NOT SHIP WITH UNRESOLVED RECALL ISSUES.
TAKATA RECALL-RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 7 MONTHS AGO AND DEALERSHIPS STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE
I WAS GIVEN A NOTICE THAT I HAD BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG RECALLS THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. THIS WAS BACK IN THE FALL OF 2016 AND THEY INSTALLED A TEMPORARY SOLUTION THAT DOESN'T BRING ANY EASE TO ME OR MY PASSENGERS. I AM STILL WAITING FOR NOTIFICATION THAT THERE HAS BEEN A PART CREATED OR ANY NOTIFICATION THAT MY CAR WILL BE FIXED ANY TIME SOON.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE TRIED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS TO HAVE MY PASSENGER AIR BAG REPLACED STARTING IN LATE 2016 AND THE MOST RECENT BEING A WEEK AGO AT JIM TIDWELL FORD AS WELL AS PUGMIRE FORD OF CARTERSVILLE. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I HAVE BEEN TOLD I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN IT WAS IN STOCK OR THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK AND COULDN'T REPLACE IT AT THIS TIME. IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY.
THE WEEK AFTER GETTING MY AIRBAG REPLACED AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON MY 2011 MUSTANG IT BEGAN HAVING A PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING, WITHOUT WARNING, THE VEHICLE'S WRENCH WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE GOES INTO IDLE MODE. THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE AND YOU HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN THE ENGINE OFF, AND THEN RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED GOING THOUGH INTERSECTIONS, RIDING ON HIGHWAYS AND ALL OTHER PLACES. I RIDE IN THE SLOW LANES ON HIGHWAYS JUST INCASE IT SHUTS DOWN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
MUSTANG HAD FRONT DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL, TOOK OVER A YEAR TO GET THIS FIXED, WHILE BEING REPAIRED, AIRBAG LIGHT CONSTANT ILLUMINATED ON DASH PANEL, DEALERSHIP RAN DIAGNOSTIC, INDICATED PASSENGER SEATBELT RETRACTOR AND OR SENSOR MALFUNCTION, WITHIN 2 DAYS OF PICKING UP CAR RECEIVED NOTICE IN MAIL OF YET ANOTHER AIRBAG RECALL, PASSENGER SIDE INFLATOR. CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING THE PASSENGER SEATBELT RETRACTOR AIRBAG SENSOR AND WAS TOLD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENT RECALL AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH THIS ISSUE.

PCM- ENGINE BEGINS TO CHUG AND STALL AT A STOP/IDLE UNTIL ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. MUST PLACE IN PARK, TURN OFF IGNITION AND RESTART IGNITION/CAR; DRIVING SAFETY HAZARD TO HAVE CAR SHUTTING DOWN IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC, AT EVERY STOP SIGN, EVERY STOP LIGHT, AND EVERY TIME OF IDLING.

TAKATA RECALL - RECEIVED RECALL FOR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL IN JULY 2016. (NOTE: DRIVER SIDE HAS BEEN REPAIRED). HAVE CALLED FORD FOR REPAIR AND AS OF TODAY THEY STILL CANNOT GIVE A DATE WHEN REPAIRS CAN BE COMPLETED. I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO MINIMIZE ANY DRIVING ON THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE. YESTERDAY, I RECEIVED A LEGAL NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS INC. CONCERNING THE AIRBAG INFLATORS INFORMING ME THAT TAKATA CORPORATION HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT TAKATA HAS NO PLANS TO MAKE REPAIRS SO I REQUEST THAT DOT FORCE AUTOMAKERS TO STANDBY THEIR PRODUCTS AND EXPEDITE THE REPAIRS OR REMUNERATE OWNERS FOR THE RETAIL PRICE OF THE VEHICLE..
RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY JULY 2016 THAT THE AIR BAGS INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE POSE A SAFETY HAZARD. DESPITE NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER KNOWN AS THE VILLAGES FORD IN BELLEVIEW, FLORIDA, THE AIRBAG HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. EACH CALL HAS RESULTED IN, "I'M SORRY, WE DON'T HAVE A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG YET". THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I CURRENTLY OWN, AND I CANNOT TAKE IT OFF THE ROAD PENDING REPLACEMENT, EVEN THOUGH IT POSES A POSSIBLE DEADLY SAFETY HAZARD.

WE CALLED OUR FORD DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY (KEARNY PEARSON FORD 7303 CLAIREMONT MESA BLVD, SAN DIEGO (858) 560-5544) AND WERE TOLD THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. WE HAVE CALLED 3 OR 4 TIMES SINCE AND ARE TOLD THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. WE REQUESTED A RENTAL BUT WERE DENIED. I AM TRYING TO CALL AGAIN NOW BUT THE DEALERSHIP IS NOT PICKING UP THE PHONE.

ANOTHER TELLS ME I HAVE TO HAVE IT THERE BY 7 AM AND CAN PICK UP WHEN THEY CALL ME. SAYS GOOD CHANCE IT WILL BE DONE IN THE SAME DAY. ALSO I LIVE 20 MILES AWAY FROM DEALERSHIP AND HAVE NO MEANS TO RETURN HOME.

ON JULY 2015, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD FOR THE "FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR HOUSING". IT TOLD ME THAT FORD WOULD SEND ME A SECOND NOTICE WHEN PARTS WHERE AVAILABLE SINCE THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY A VERY WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. ON JUNE 2016, I RECEIVE THIS SECOND NOTICE STATING THAT PARTS WERE READY AND TO "CALL MY DEALER WITHOUT DELAY AND REQUEST SERVICE". I DID THIS IMMEDIATELY. I WAS TOLD BY PARR FORD THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE I GOT THE LETTER FROM BUT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THEM AND CALL ME WHEN THEY CAME IN. IT IS NOW AUGUST 2016 AND ACCORDING TO THEM, THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS THAT THEY SAID THEY WERE ORDERING BACK IN JUNE. IF FORD WAS NOT GOING TO PROVIDE THEIR DEALERSHIPS WITH THE PARTS, THEN WHY WOULD THEY HAVE SENT ME A LETTER SAYING THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT WILLING TO PERFORM THE RECALL NOTICE AND THEY ARE THE ONLY FORD DEALERSHIP IN A 50 MILE RADIUS. EITHER THAT OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS SENDING OUT FALSE INFORMATION IN THEIR RECALL NOTICES.
