I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2015 FROM FORD REGARDING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21/ NHTSA RECALL 15V-319 AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A NOTICE FROM FORD WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE SO I COULD SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE.

CAR WAS STOPPED IN DRIVEWAY WHILE EXITING TO OPEN GARAGE DOOR USING BUTTON IN GARAGE. GOT BACK INTO CAR AND PUT CAR IN DRIVE TO PULL INTO GARAGE. CAR TOOK OFF OUT OF CONTROL. BRAKES DID NOT SLOW VEHICLE. IT KEPT ACCELERATING WITHOUT PRESSING GAS PEDAL. BRAKES DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO STOP VEHICLE. VEHICLE STOPPED ONLY AFTER BUSTING THROUGH A BRICK WALL IN REAR OF GARAGE.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
TAKATA RECALL-THE FORD DEALER SAYS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO REPAIR THE SAFETY RECALL 15S21 AS YET. THE RECALL NOTICE STATES THAT "AN INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE DRIVER OR OCCUPANT RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH". SO, I HAVE TO JUST DRIVE AROUND WITH AN AIRBAG THAT COULD KILL ME OR MY OCCUPANT WHILE FORD WORKS ON A REPLACEMENT PART? THE LETTER IS DATED JULY 2015 AND HERE IT IS DECEMBER. SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE TO GET THEM TO SPEED IT UP A LITTLE.

TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD JULY 2015. TODAY I WAS TOLD BY FORD IT COULD TAKE TO END OF YEAR TO GET PARTS. THIS DOES NOT SEEM REASONABLE! I'M STUCK WITH A RECALLED VEHICLE THAT CAN CAUSE ME AND/OR PASSENGERS SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH! THE RECALL SHOULD PROVIDE A BUYBACK OR ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION IF REPAIRS CAN'T BE PERFORMED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. NHTSA AND/OR FORD IS NEGLIGENT IN LEAVING ME IN THIS LIFE THREATENING RECALLED VEHICLE WITH NO REPAIR AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL IN JULY OF 2015 FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. ACCORDING TO THE WRITTEN NOTICE, NO ACTION WAS REQUIRED ON MY PART AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. IN MARCH OF 2016, I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE THAT MY SUBARU ALSO HAD A TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG. THE WRITTEN NOTICE SAID NO ONE SHOULD USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. CURIOUSLY, NO SUCH WARNING WAS GIVEN FOR MY FORD MUSTANG. I ASSUME IT IS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE PARKED UNTIL IT WAS FIXED. IT IS NOW APRIL 2016, I E-MAILED FORD YESTERDAY AS I HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICE THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO FIX MY VEHICLE. FORD RESPONDED THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE 9 MONTHS LATER!!! HOWEVER, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IN MY SUBARU WAS FIXED YESTERDAY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE THAT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE 9 MONTHS LATER. I DO NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF SIDELINING MY FORD MUSTANG UNTIL THE PARTS ARE RECEIVED AS MY WIFE USES THE SUBARU DAILY SO I'M DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT MAY KILL ME IF I'M INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYONE OR AM I WASTING MY TIME WRITING THIS?
TAKATA RECALL LETTER SENT TO ME FROM FORD DATED JULY 2015. HAVE CALLED FORD THEY SAID CALL LOCAL DEALER, CALLED LOCAL DEALER TWICE SINCE JULY 2015 AND AM TOLD THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO REPAIR. HOW LONG ARE WE SUPPOSED TO WAIT, DO WE NEED TO FILE ANOTHER LAWSUIT TO GET THESE COMPANIES TO DO THE RIGHT THING? WHAT ON EARTH IS TAKING SO LONG? CAN NOT AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER CAR IS THIS ONE SAFE TO OWN AND DRIVE?

TAKATA RECALL. I AM JUST HORRIFIED THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE FOR 6 YEARS NOT KNOWING I COULD BE IN DANGER FOR THOSE METAL PIECES THAT ARE RELEASED IN CASE OF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYING. I HAVE HAD ACCIDENTS BEFORE AND JUST THE THOUGHT OF THAT MAKES ME NOT WANT TO DRIVE DAILY WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE. I KNOW THEY ARE TRYING TO DO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT HOW MUCH LONGER A PERSON CAN TAKE THEIR CHANCES? THIS IS ABSURD! THEY SHOULD AT LEAST DISABLE THE AIRBAGS OR TRY FIXING THE CARS THAT THE PROBLEM HAPPENS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE (AS IN MY CASE) I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, THEY JUST TELL US TO WAIT AND IN THE MEANTIME WE'RE AT THE "UNIVERSE'S MERCY" OR LUCK OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE, MAINLY IF YOU ARE DRIVING DAILY AND TAKING ROADS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE SOLUTION BECAUSE TIME IS TICKING.

'TAKATA RECALL' I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PASSENGER SIDE TAKATA RECALLED AIRBAGS REPLACED FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS NOW. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS AND THEY ALL KEEP TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE NO NEW UPDATE FOR ME AND CAN NOT REPLACE MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. I RECEIVED A NOTICE NOW FROM TK HOLDINGS THAT TAKATA IS FILING BANKRUPTSY AND I NEED TO GET MY AIRBAGS REPLACED NOW. I HAVE CALLED FORD HEADQUARTERS AND FORD DEALERSHIPS AND THEY CONTINUE TO REFUSE TO REPLACE MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. IT HAS BEEN OVER TWO YEARS SINCE I RECEIVED THE LETTER FROM FORD SAYING THEY WILL REPLACE MY AIRBAGS. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY CONCERN AND FORD KEEPS DISMISSING MY CALLS WITH NO DATE AS TO WHEN I CAN GET THIS FIXED. I WANT TO FILE THIS FORMAL COMPLAINT AND HAVE THIS CORRECTED. OVER TWO YEARS WAITING TO GET A SAFETY FEATURE RESOLVED IS UNACCEPTABLE. I HOPE THIS OFFICE DOES NOT GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND AS WELL.

I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE AND ALSO FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND GET THE SAME RESPONSE FROM ALL - THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO WAIT? I LIVE IN THE HUMID MIDWEST ST. LOUIS AREA AND MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY GARAGE SINCE LAST MAY WHEN I RECEIVED THE NOTICE OF THE RECALL BECAUSE I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IT FOR FEAR OF BEING KILLED BY MY DEFECTIVE AIR BAG SHOULD I HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. WHY CAN'T WE FORCE TAKATA TO PAY FOR A COMPANY IN THE UNITED STATES TO MANUFACTURE AIR BAGS THAT DON'T EXPLODE AND SEND SHARP METAL FRAGMENTS FLYING AT THE CARS' OCCUPANTS? THERE ARE TIMES WHERE I AM ABLE TO APPLY COMPLETE PRESSURE TO MY MUSTANG'S ACCELERATION PEDAL AND UPON REMOVING MY FOOT FROM THE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE. ON FEBRUARY 4TH, 2015, MY CAR CONTINUED ACCELERATION ON WHAT WAS LUCKILY AN OPEN HIGHWAY. I ATTEMPTED TO APPLY MY BRAKES AND THEY SEEMED TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN SOMEWHAT. UPON RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE BEGAN ACCELERATING AGAIN. I HAD TO REPEATEDLY JAM MY FOOT INTO THE GAS PEDAL TO BREAK IT FREE. I WAS ABLE TO REPLICATE THIS SAME ISSUE DIRECTLY AFTERWARDS. NEXT, I PARKED MY VEHICLE AND TURNED IT OFF. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THE PEDAL COULD BE GETTING STUCK ON. I HAVE FLOOR MATS, BUT, THERE IS NO WAY IT IS SEEMINGLY POSSIBLE FOR THE PEDAL TO GET STUCK UNDERNEATH THE MAT. I TRIED MY BEST TO FIND SOME WAY THE GET THE PEDAL STUCK UNDERNEATH THE FLOOR MAT. THE PEDAL WOULD JUST POP RIGHT BACK UP. WHAT REALLY SCARED ME, WAS AFTER RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL (WITH THE CAR OFF) AND VISUALLY SEEING THE PEDAL UNTOUCHED BY ANY TYPE OF OBSTRUCTION, I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE BEGAN REVVING AS IF I WAS HOLDING THE GAS PEDAL DOWN, BUT OF COURSE THE CAR WAS IN PARK. MY MUSTANG IS BLISTERING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HOOD IN THE FRONT AT THE "LIP" IT IS BLISTERING NOW HOWEVER I HAVE FOUND THROUGH THE INTERNET, FORD KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM AND HAS IGNORED FIXING IT.
