TAKATA RECALL MY CAR HAS A RECALL THAT CAN POTENTIALLY RESULT IN DEATH AND IF HAVE SPOKEN TO 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE OVER THE COURSE OF 6 MONTHS AND THEY ARE STILL SAYING "UM I'M SORRY WE HAVE NO SOLUTION AND NO TIME FRAME FOR A SOLUTION". SERIOUSLY! BY THE TIME THE SOLUTION HAPPENS SOMEONE COULD DIE??? THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE! I WOULD EXPECT AT THE VERY LEAST A FREE RENTAL CAR!! PER THE POLICE REPORT NARRATIVE, WHILE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG ON THE 2014 FORD MUSTANG DEPLOYED WHILE BRAKING, (PRIOR TO ANY IMPACT), CAUSING THE DRIVER 'S FOOT TO SLIP OFF THE BRAKE, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED A THREE VEHICLE CHAIN REACTION REAR END TYPE COLLISION. ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT NARRATIVE THE DRIVER HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED EARLIER IN THE DAY AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR THE AIRBAG.

TAKATA RECALL - IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED. THEY ISSUED INTERIM REPAIR FOR OLDER VEHICLES BUT NOT MINE. I DON'T ESPECIALLY FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND FORD CAN'T REPAIR BECAUSE OF A PARTS ISSUE. FORD SHOULD GIVE EVERYONE AN INTERIM REPAIR. CAN'T YOU AUTHORIZED FORD TO TURN OFF THE AIRBAG UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED? THE COMMENT ABOUT HIGH HUMIDITY IS NOT FAIR. SOMEONE COULD RUN INTO ME AND THE DEVICE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO SAVE ME IS GOING TO KILL ME. PLEASE CONTACT FORD AND GET THEM MOVING ON THIS RECALL. MY CAR IS USELESS, I CAN'T TRADE IT IN EITHER BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. AND I CAN'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET IT FIXED!!
TAKATA AIRBAG. WE PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE 2 YEARS AGO AND WERE NOTIFIED OVER A YEAR AGO ABOUT A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG AND THE NEED FOR IT TO BE REPLACED. IN CHECKING WITH OUR DEALERSHIP OVER THIS TIME, INCLUDING YESTERDAY THEY ADVISE THE PART HAS NOT EVEN BEEN MADE YET AND THERE IS NO PART NUMBER IN EXISTENCE FOR IT. THEY ADVISED THERE IS NO INFO AS TO WHEN IT MAY BE AVAILABLE.
I OWN A 2014 FORD MUSTANG AND THE PAINT ON THE ALUMINUM HOOD HAS FAILED IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AFFECTED AREA AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS ADVISED ME THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THE MUSTANGS. DESPITE THIS KNOWN DEFECT, FORD HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS ANY REPAIR.
TAKATA RECALL- I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT IN WHICH ANOTHER DRIVER DID AN ILLEGAL UTURN IN FRONT OF ME AND I T-BONED THEM. THE BULK OF THE DAMAGE WAS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WITH SUCH INTENSITY THAT IT BROKE MY ARM AND DISLOCATED MY ELBOW. I ACCUMULATED OF $160K IN MEDICAL BILLS THAT I ULTIMATELY HAD TO REIMBURSE MY HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY BECAUSE THE OTHER DRIVERS INSURANCE WAS MINIMAL. I DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE UNTIL MONTHS AFTER THE ACCIDENT. I LIVE IN THE SOUTH WHERE THE HUMIDITY IS GREAT AND ACCORDING TO THE CLASS ACTION IT CAUSED THEM TO DEPLOY WITH GREAT PRESSURE. I CONTACTED THE CLASS ACTION PEOPLE AND THEY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND IT CLEARLY IS.
NOTIFIED OF RECALL 15V-319 BY FORD IN JULY 2015. RECALL LETTER SAID FORD WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. IT'S NOW JANUARY 2016 AND NOTIFICATION HAS YET TO BE MADE ON THIS SAFETY RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL - I AM CURRENTLY IMPORTING MY VEHICLE INTO THE US, AND AS SUCH NEED TO REGISTER IT IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. I SPOKE TO SOMEONE VIA THE NHTSA HOTLINE, AND SHE INSTRUCTED ME THAT IN ORDER TO REGISTER MY CAR WITH AN OPEN RECALL IN THE STATE OF TEXAS I WILL NEED TO FIRST FILE A COMPLAINT HERE. THE STATUS OF MY RECALL IS CURRENTLY SHOWING AS "12- RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE. " SO THE RECALL CANNOT BE COMPLETED AS PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE. TAKATA RECALL IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD REGARDING NHTSA RECALL 15V-319, AND I AM STILL WAITING ON THE REPAIRS. MY LOCAL DEALER TELLS ME THEY HAVE RECEIVED NO PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND HAVE COMPLETED ZERO SERVICE APPOINTMENTS RELATED TO THIS RECALL. THIS IS DESPITE THE FACT THAT I LIVE IN A SOUTHERN GULF COAST STATE, WHICH SHOULD MAKE MY VEHICLE A PRIORITY. IN THE RECALL NOTICE, FORD PLEDGED TO PROVIDE "THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE AND SUPPORT." INSTEAD, THEY'VE PROVIDED NO SERVICE AND NO SUPPORT. I'M FORTUNATE THAT I'VE NEVER HAD MY AIRBAG DEPLOY, BUT I'M FRUSTRATED BY THE APPARENT LACK OF ANY FURTHER COMMITMENT FROM FORD TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO GET THE AIR BAGS REPLACED AND THEY HAVE PUT ME OFF FOR OVER 2-YEARS. THEY HAVE STATED PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVED FOR MY AUTO AND HAVE ADDED US TO THE LIST.
TAKATA RECALL. MY COMPLAINT CENTERS AROUND THE FACT THAT FORD IS DRAGGING ITS FEET ABOUT HONORING THE RECALL. FORD HAS PUT US IN A CATCH-22 SITUATION. WE ARE RISKING OUR LIVES EVERY DAY BY DRIVING THIS DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS CAR AND WE CAN'T BUY A NEW CAR BECAUSE DEALERS WON'T TAKE IT IN TRADE. TODAY I VISITED BRANDON FORD, ONE OF THE LARGEST FORD DEALERS IN THE US. I TRIED TO TRADE OUR MUSTANG IN ON A NEW ONE AND THEY WOULDN'T EVEN TALK TO ME. THEY WOULD BE GLAD TO SELL ME A NEW CAR, BUT REFUSED TO TAKE THE TRADE BECAUSE THE RECALL RENDERS IT WORTHLESS. THE SALES GUY SAID THEY CANNOT RESELL THE CAR AND WOULD SEND IT TO THE AUCTION FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. HE ALSO SAID THAT FORD HAS NO PLANS TO MAKE THE REPAIRS AND THAT ANY DEALER THAT SAYS THEY HAVE A REPAIR SCHEDULE IS LYING. I BESEECH THE NHTSA TO FORCE FORD TO MAKE THE REPAIRS ON OUR CAR NOW OR ELSE DEMAND THAT THEIR DEALERS GIVE US WHAT THE TRUE, FAIR MARKET VALUE WOULD BE IF THE CAR HAD NOT BEEN RECALLED. FORD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO "PLAY" ITS CUSTOMERS AND ENDANGER THEIR LIVES. THANK YOU.

AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME HAS PASSED SINCE THE NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL (15S21). I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING MY MUSTANG KNOWING THAT POSSIBLE SHRAPNEL CAN STRIKE ME IN THE EVENT THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED, POSSIBLY CAUSING INJURY OR DEATH! I DO WISH THAT FORD WOULD STOP WAITING FOR A FULL INVENTORY OF REPLACEMENTS PARTS AND START REPLACING WHAT THEY CAN AS PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHICH I FEEL FORD IS NOT TREATING VERY SERIOUSLY. THEY ARE DOING NOTHING TO MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFE IN THE MEANTIME.

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL MORE THEN A YEAR AGO SAYING MY AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO METAL SHRAPNEL THAT COULD IMPALE ME IF I WERE TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I RECEIVED A NEW LETTER IN THE MAIL A FEW MONTHS AGO SAYING THE PART WOULD BE AVAILABLE THE 4TH QUARTER OF THIS YEAR. IT IS NOW THE END OF NOVEMBER AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE MANY CARS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL BUT IT IS WORRISOME TO DRIVE A CAR THAT COULD KILL YOU IF YOU ARE IN AN ACCIDENT.
FORD DEALER WILL NOT TRADE CAR IN FOR 2016 FORD MUSTANG BECAUSE OF THE AIR BAG RECALL PARTS .. THE 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION GRINDS AND/OR LOCKS OUT OF GEAR WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. THE CAR BUCKS AND SURGES, WORSE WHEN GOING DOWNHILL. IT MAKES A KNOCKING NOISE WHEN THERE IS A TORQUE CHANGE.
THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS IN THE FRONT END HAVE BEN REPLACED THREE TIMES DUE TO A NOISE PROBLEM WHEN GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP OR BUMP IN THE ROAD.

I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING MY CAR IF THERE IS A CHANCE THE AIR BAG WILL RUPTURE AND CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH ACCORDING TO THE RECALL INFORMATION. WHY CAN'T THERE BE A TEMPORARY FIX TO PREVENT INJURY (REMOVAL OF AIR BAG) OR AN OFFER TO PAY FOR RENTAL CAR UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE? I FEEL THAT MY LIFE IS AT RISK DRIVING MY CAR DUE TO THE RISK OF AIR BAG RUPTURE AS SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED IN THE LETTER. I RELY ON THIS CAR TO GET ME TO AND FROM WORK AND USE IT TO TRANSPORT MY GRANDCHILDREN. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO RESOLVE MY RISK UNTIL THE PARTS CAN BE REPLACED.
MY VEHICLE IS PART OF THE TAKATA RECALL. FORD IS UNABLE TO GIVE ME A DATE CERTAIN TO CORRECT THIS LIFE THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE. I ATTEMPTED TO TRADE THE MUSTANG AND WAS GIVEN A TRADE IN COST FAR BELOW FAIR MARKET VALUE, THUS SUFFERING FROM DIMINISHED VALUE. IN ADDITION NEITHER THE DEALER WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY WAS WILLING TO OFFER ME ANY COMPENSATION TO OFFSET THE DIMINISHED VALUE OR OFFER ME A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE TO USE UNTIL THE SAFETY ISSUE IS RESOLVED. TAKATA IS NO MAKING 1 MILLION REPAIR KITS PER MONTH. THERE CURRENTLY ARE OVER 34 MILLION VEHICLES EFFECTED BY THIS RECALL AND SEVERAL MILLION MORE ARE ABOUT TO BE ANNOUNCED. SO THIS MONETARY AND SAFETY ISSUE CAN POTENTIALLY CONTINUE FOR YEARS.

AFTER MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE INTO TRAFFIC, THE CAR'S ADVANCETRAC LIGHT FLASHED AT ABOUT 40MPH AND THE CAR BEGAN LOSING POWER AND APPLYING THE BRAKES WITHOUT REASON. THE ADVANCETRAC LIGHT CONTINUED TO FLASH AND THE BRAKES AND THROTTLE CONTINUED TO MODULATE AS IF THE CAR WERE SLIDING ON ICE. THIS HAD HAPPENED BEFORE AND ONCE IT HAS STARTED WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THE CAR IS STOPPED AND PLACED INTO PARK. I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE WITH THIS ISSUE OCCURRING UNTIL I COULD SAFELY PULL OVER. THIS HAS NOW OCCURRED 4 TIMES IN 23000 MILES. EACH TIME THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES. A TURN FROM A START AND MODERATE ACCELERATION AND THE ISSUE BEGINS BETWEEN 30-40MPH AND LASTS UNTIL THE CAR IS STOPPED AND SHIFTED TO PARK.

ON 08/02/15, I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 FORD MUSTANG. I WAS STRUCK ON MY PASSENGER SIDE WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. AS A RESULT MY AIR BAG DEPLOYED CAUSING A CONCUSSION AND A LACERATION ACROSS MY FOREHEAD REQUIRING MEDICAL ATTENTION AND 23 STITCHES. I ALSO RECEIVED A BRUSH BURN ACROSS MY LEFT FOREARM.

I THOUGHT, AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO NHTSA, MY COMPLAINT WOULD APPEAR ALONG WITH THE OTHERS ON THIS SITE, BUT SINCE IT HASN'T, I AM FILLING OUT THIS FORM TO BE PART OF THE GROUP GETTING NOWHERE WITH EITHER FORD OR NHTSA SINCE I RECEIVED (UNACCEPTABLY LATE) NOTICE OF THE AIRBAG RECALL, SINCE IT IS AGREED THERE WON'T BE ANY FIX ANYTIME SOON. I AM COMPLAINING BECAUSE I RECEIVED A LETTER THAT IF I WAS TO GET INTO ANY CRASH MY DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY AND SEND OUT METAL PARTICLES THAT WILL SERIOUSLY INJURE ME OR CAUSE MY DEATH. ON JULY 27, 2015, WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY THAT OUR VEHICLE HAS A RECALL REGARDING THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WHICH COULD RUPTURE AND LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. IT STATES WE WILL GET A LETTER WHEN THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND HAVE CALLED THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO FIND OUT WHY THEY ARE NOT FIXING THIS IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE CALLED ON 7-28-15, 10-3-15 AND 11-4-15 AS WELL AS E-MAILED THE CORPORATE OFFICE TO TRY AND GET ANSWERS. WE DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING OUR CAR AND WANT THEM TO BUY IT BACK AT WHAT WE OWE ON IT SINCE THEY ARE NOT WORKING AT GETTING IT FIXED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
