I HAVE RECEIVED AN "URGENT SAFETY RECALL" NOTIFICATION THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG INFILTRATOR HOUSING MAY RUPTURE AND DEPLY ABNORMALLY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH WHICH COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING THE DRIVER OR OTHER OCCUPANTS RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." I HAVE CALL FORD AND THEY REPORT, IN THE FACE OF A WARNING THAT THIS DEFECT MIGHT CAUSE DEATH, THAT PARTS TO REPAIR THIS ARE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL THE 2ND QTR 2017. THE ALSO TELL MY THE YOUR AGENCY HAS SAID IT IS OK TO CONTINUE OPERATION THE VEHICLE UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. HOW CAN I RESONSIBLY PUT MY WIFE, CHILDREN OR GRAND CHILDREN IN THE FRONT WITH THIS WARNING EXTANT? WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE NOTIFICATION IF THERE IS NO APPARENT URGENCY TO GET THE DEFECT CORRECTED. SEEMS TO ME EITHER IT IS DANGEROUS OR IT IS NOT. THIS IS WHOLLY UNACCEPTABLY.

TAKATA RECALL- I HAVE ASKED MY DEALERSHIP OVER AND OVER TO FIX THIS RECALL AND I GET THE SAME ANSWER THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. THIS SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE PLACING IN NEW CARS
TAKATA RECALL. MY 2014 JUST HAD WARRANTY WORK DONE FOR A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY WHICH CAUSED MY CAR TO NOT START AND LEFT ME STRANDED AT WORK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY JERKED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR WAS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS OFF, THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM REACTIVATED ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. WHEN THE CONTACT BEGAN TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AT HIGH SPEEDS ON ITS OWN. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE TURNED AGGRESSIVELY TO THE RIGHT, BECAME AIRBORNE, FLIPPED OVER, AND LANDED ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. THE WHEEL REMAINED LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE MOVED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE CONTACT RESUMED DRIVING AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLES WHEEL SEIZED AND THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WAS A POLICE REPORT FILED. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT AWAITED APPRAISAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
HAVING REAR END WHINNING NOISE, FORD WORKED ON REAR END COMPONENTS 6 TIMES NOW. THE LAST REPAIR THEY DID THE REPLACED HOUSING AND CARRIER- PRETTY MUCH BRAND NEW REAR END. I'M STILL HAVING REAR END NOISE AND THEY REFUSE ME OF ANY FURTHER REPAIRS. VEHICLE IS IN MOTION WHEN I HEAR THIS NOISE ONLY WHEN ACCELERATING, AS SOON AS I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS IT STOPS. I HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THEM IN FORDS RECORDS.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE, A BRUISED KNEE AND SPRAINED WRIST WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - FORD CHANGED THE STATUS OF MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL FROM "REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE" TO "RECALL INCOMPLETE", IMPLYING THAT PARTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE AND IT IS NOW MY RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE IT REPLACED. BUT NO DEALERSHIP IN MY AREA HAS ANY SUCH PARTS, AND CANNOT EVEN ESTIMATE WHEN THEY MAY BE ABLE TO ORDER PARTS TO COMPLY WITH THIS RECALL. I HAVE CHECKED WITH TWO FORD DEALERS IN MY AREA (PORTLAND OREGON) AND THEY CANNOT HELP ME RESOLVE THIS. FORD IS WRONGFULLY CHANGING THE STATUS OF THIS RECALL FOR UNKNOWN REASON(S).

TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE ON MY AIRBAG, AND I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN A REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE.
I WAS AT A RED LIGHT, LIGHT TURNS GREEN, I TAKE OFF IN 1ST GEAR AND THE CAR STARTS TO HESITATE. I TRY ACCELERATING A LITTLE MORE, THINKING THAT MAYBE I'M NOT GIVING IT ENOUGH GAS BUT IT LIMPED EVEN HARDER. THEN, THE POWER TRAIN LIGHT COMES ON. *TR
HOW CAN A DEALERSHIP SELL VEHICLES THAT HAVE THE AIRBAG ISSUE AND HAS NOT REPLACED THE AIR BAG. I HAVE A 2014 MUSTANG AND AM STILL WAITING FOR FORD TO REPLACE MY AIR BAG. I WAS TOLD I COULDN'T SELL IT UNTIL IT WAS FIXED, BUT THE DEALERSHIP HERE IS SELLING A VEHICLE THE VERY SAME MODEL AND MAKE AS MINE AND IS SELLING IT TO THE PUBLIC. AND WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GET THIS FIXED? I AM HESITANT IN DRIVING THE VEHICLE, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH I AM NOT AT AN AREA THAT HAS THE HIGH HUMIDITY, SOMEONE COULD EASILY RUN INTO ME AND CAUSE THIS AIRBAG TO ACTIVATE. TAKATA RECALL - WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG IS AVAILABLE. I HAVE SPOKEN ONLINE TO SOMEONE AT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO GIVE ME ANY ANSWERS. I AM VERY CONCERNED SINCE THIS AIRBAG CAUSED A DEATH NEAR US.
MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS WAITING IN MY PARKED CAR IN A PARKING LOT FOR ME AND ABSENTMINDEDLY TWISTING ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS AROUND HER WRISTS. THE SEATBELT LOCKED AND AS SHE TRIED TO GET IT TO RELEASE, THE BELT WENT IN FURTHER AND HER HANDS WERE TIGHTLY BOUND TO THE SEAT WHERE THE SHOULDER BELT RETRACTS. SHE WAS UNABLE TO FREE HERSELF AND WAS SCREAMING FOR HELP. SHE WAS FINALLY ABLE TO REACH HER PHONE ON THE FLOOR BY KICKING OFF HER SHOES & THEN USING HER TOE TO TELL "SIRI" TO CALL MOM. WHEN I GOT OUTSIDE, I COULD NOT FREE HER AND HER HANDS WERE TURNING PURPLE. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CUT THE SEATBELT OFF. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I WOULD EVER HAVE ANTICIPATED. IT WORRIES ME THAT A YOUNGER CHILD COULD PLAY WITH IT AND FALL ASLEEP FOR EXAMPLE, AND THE PARENTS MAY NOT REALIZE UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE.
DRIVER AIRBAG RECALLS AS INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING AND SERIOUSLY INJURING ME OR PASSENGERS. FORD DEALERSHIPS HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR A YEAR THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS YET. THEY ALSO WILL NOT OFFER OTHER FORMS OF COMPENSATION (E.G. REPLACING CAR OR TAKING AIRBAG OUT).
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS TAKEN TOO LONG TO REPLACE THESE AIRBAGS AND WITH THE IDEA THAT IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT THE AIRBAG COULD CAUSE SHARDS TO PENETRATE THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER, I AM FEARFUL OF DRIVING MY VEHICLE. IT HAS TAKEN TOO LONG TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS AND THERE IS NO SOLUTION IN SIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH IN FIRST GEAR, THE GEAR SHIFTER WOULD NOT MOVE TO SECOND GEAR. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN, BUT IT WOULD NOT ALLOW HIM TO SWITCH TO SECOND GEAR. THE CONTACT FORCED THE GEAR SHIFTER TO FOURTH GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SKIP SHIFT WAS A STANDARD MANUFACTURER FEATURE IN ALL MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES, WHICH ALLOWS IT TO SKIP SECOND AND THIRD GEARS FOR LESS FUEL CONSUMPTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE A VEHICLE THAT I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING AND AM UNABLE TO SELL IT DUE TO THE OPEN AND UNRESOLVED RECALL. IS THERE ANY RECOURSE FOR OWNERS THAT ARE IN MY SAME SITUATION?
THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS VEHICLE HAS NO CURRENT SOLUTION TO REPAIR THIS RECALL. THEY WILL NOT OFFER A FREE RENTAL CAR SO I AM STUCK DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH A KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT.

DRIVING HE CAR AT ABOUT 40MPH MOSTLY IN TRAFFIC I LOST COMPLETELY THE THROTTLE AND I CAN'T ACCELERATE AND SHOW THE WRENCH LIGHT IN THE CLUSTER. I HAVE TO COMPLETELY STOP PUT THE CAR IN PARK TURN OFF AND WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND THE CAR WILL WORK AGAIN FOR A FEW HOURS SOME TIME DAYS WITH OUT PROBLEM BUT THIS HAPPEN WITH OUT ANY WARNING. WHEN I GET THE CAR TO THE REPAIR SHOP I FOUND THE DTC P2111. I DID A PCM REPROGRAM WITH THE LATEST CALIBRATION FILES FROM THE MOTORCRAFT SERVICE WEB SITE. BUT I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM, Y WONDERING THAT SOME DAY I WILL CAUSE A ACCIDENT TO ME AND SOME BODY ELSE. ON 8/18/16, I WAS DRIVING ON MARYLAND STATE ROUTE 198, AT ABOUT 40 MPH, WHEN THE CAR BEGAN TO LURCH FORWARD, STOP, LURCH FORWARD AS I CAME THROUGH A ROUNDABOUT. I PULLED OVER TO THE SHOULDER. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, RESTARTED THE CAR, AND WHILE ON THE SHOULDER, I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, AND AGAIN THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD TWICE AND THEN STOPPED. WRENCH LIGHT WAS LIT UP ON DASHBOARD (IT WASN'T LIT MOMENTS BEFORE) AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE MANUAL IT SAID THE CAR HAD DEFAULTED TO "LIMP TO HOME" AND I SHOULD SEE THE DEALER. I WAS MORE THAN 40 MILES FROM HOME AND CALLED AAA. IF THIS HAD OCCURRED 10 MINUTES LATER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING 55 MPH ON INTERSTATE 295 S AND WOULD HAVE BEEN IN DANGER BECAUSE THAT ROAD HAS NO SHOULDER. THIS CAR BEHAVIOR MIMICKED WHAT I EXPERIENCED OCT. 6, 2015 (LURCHING, DASHBOARD LIGHTS LOOKING LIKE A DISCO BALL), WHEN THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE ASSEMBLY (SERVICE DATE OCT. 7, 2015). HOWEVER, THE DEALER IS NOW TELLING ME IT IS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WITH THE CAR SHOWING TFT SENSOR, P0710, P0713 CODE READINGS. THIS IS THE THIRD MAJOR REPAIR. ON 11/23/12, THE DEALER REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, AFTER I EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE THANKSGIVING DAY WITH ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS LOOKING LIKE A DISCO BALL AND COULD NOT READ THE SPEEDOMETER TO KNOW HOW FAST I WAS DRIVING WHILE IN BALTIMORE ON INTERSTATE 695. THE CAR IS 4 YEARS OLD AND HAS ABOUT 61,000 MILES ON IT. I BELIEVE ALL THREE INCIDENTS REPRESENT SAFETY ISSUES. I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD FILE A COMPLAINT UNTIL I BEGAN RESEARCHING AFTER THIS LATEST INCIDENT, AND SO INCLUDE THE THE OTHER TWO IN THIS REPORT.

TAKATA RECALL:MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE RECALLED AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. BECAUSE OF THE RECALL, THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS AT THE TIME. THE CONCLUSION FORD AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY (AAA) CAME TO WAS TO PUT TEMPORARY AIRBAGS FROM ANOTHER RECALLED 2014 MUSTANG INTO MY CAR UNTIL THE NEW AIRBAGS BECOME AVAILABLE. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE BODY SHOP BUT I WANTED TO ASK IF I SHOULD ACCEPT MY CAR BACK FROM THE BODY SHOP WITH THOSE RECALLED AIRBAGS OR GET AN ATTORNEY TO HELP ME OUT. I WORRY THAT IF MY CAR IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THEY CAN CAUSE SERIOUS OR LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.

"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IN MAY ON A CITY STREET IN MOTION, MY AIRBAG DEPLOYED. THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED ON IMPACT BUT I WAS ONLY GOING 18 MILES PER HOUR.MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE THE WRECK WAITING ON AN AIRBAG PARK. ITS COMPLETELY UNFAIR THAT THE CAR NOT BE TOTALED AND IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN A LOT FOR 6 MONTHS. FORD HAS BEEN ZERO HELP, ALL I HEAR IS THE AIR BAG IS DELAYED AND WE DON'T HAVE A DATE.
TAKATA RECALL - NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE OVER A YEAR AFTER IT WAS IDENTIFIED AS AN ISSUE THAT CAN CAUSE DEATH! WHY AREN'T THESE BEING DISABLED OR LOANER CARS BEING ISSUED. HOW CAN SOMEONE DRIVE THIS CAR KNOWING THE PART COULD FAIL AND KILL THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER? IS IT SAFER TO DRIVE WITHOUT THE AIRBAG THAN WITH THE DEFECTIVE ONE? NO ONE AT FORD WOULD ANSWER THAT QUESTION FOR ME.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS ORIGINALLY NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL BY LETTER FROM FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DIVISION IN JULY OF 2015. IN MAY OF 2016 I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER FROM THEM INFORMING ME THAT THE REQUIRED AIRBAG MODULES WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF 2016. SINCE THEN I HAVE INQUIRED AT THE DEALERSHIP, 5 STAR FORD IN NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND WAS TOLD EACH TIME THAT THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED THE REQUIRED PARTS AND KNEW NOTHING FURTHER REGARDING THE MATTER. SINCE I RESIDE IN A HOT AND HUMID AREA WHICH IS SAID TO BE THE WORST ENVIRONMENT FOR POTENTIAL AIRBAG MODULE FAILURES, IT WOULD SEEM LOGICAL THAT MY AREA SHOULD BE ACCORDED A HIGH PRIORITY FOR THESE REPLACEMENT PARTS. FURTHER, OUR AREA'S TRAFFIC RANKS IT AMONG THE TOP 20 IN THE NATION FOR CONGESTION, MAKING COLLISIONS MORE LIKELY THAN IN LESS CONGESTED AREAS. ANY REASONABLE PERSON WOULD CONCLUDE THAT THOSE FACTORS SHOULD PLACE OUR AREA NEAR THE TOP IN PRIORITY FOR RECEIVING THE NEEDED PARTS. SINCE MY VEHICLE HAS NOT YET BEEN REPAIRED, APPARENTLY THOSE PARTS WENT ELSEWHERE.I AM UPSET THAT FORD HAS NOT MET THE TIMETABLE THAT THEY GAVE ME IN THEIR LETTER OF MAY 2016. BEYOND THAT, THE ABSOLUTE LACK OF ANY MEANINGFUL FURTHER COMMUNICATION FORM FORD OR THE DEALERSHIP IS A SERIOUS CONCERN. IF THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, WHY HAS MY VEHICLE NOT BEEN REPAIRED? WHY IS IT THAT NEITHER FORD NOR THE DEALERSHIP WILL PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THIS SERIOUS SAFETY RISK? AS A DRIVER WHOSE VEHICLE CONSTITUTES A RISK TO MY SAFETY EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT, I AM WORRIED. FORD SHOULD HAVE HONORED THEIR WRITTEN COMMITMENT TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF 2016, OR FAILING THAT, AT LEAST HAVE LET ME KNOW WHEN I CAN EXPECT TO HAVE MY VEHICE MADE SAFE TO DRIVE.

TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE RECEIVED 2 LETTERS FROM FORD ON THIS RECALL (15S21/NHTSA RECALL 15V-319) DATED JULY 2015 AND MAY 2016. THE MAY LETTER STATED FORD WOULD HAVE PARTS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THIS YEAR. THERE ARE LESS THAN 45 DAYS LEFT IN THE FOURTH QUARTER WITH NO WORD FROM FORD. I HAVE CALLED MY DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY SEEM TO BE CLUELESS AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE AIR BAG PARTS PROBLEM. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS ON THE DEALERS BEHALF, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP THERE CUSTOMERS INFORMED. NATSA SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO SUPPLY SOME INFORMATION ON THE STATUS OF THIS RECALL.

I CALLED FORD DEALERSHIPS AT LEAST THREE TIMES FROM JULY 2015 TO 2016 ASKING IF THE AIRBAGS COULD BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AT THEIR DEALERSHIP. EACH TIME I CALLED I WAS TOLD PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO DO FIX THE PROBLEM. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN APRIL 2017 (YET DATED MAY 2016) REGARDING SAFETY RECALL 15S21 STATING THE NEWLY DESIGNED AIRBAG MODULE WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF THAT YEAR (2016) AND THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THE AIRBAG PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE.. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY SINCE THAT TIME,, I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE DANGEROUS AIRBAGS ON MY FORD MUSTANG. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE REGARDING HAVING THE AIRBAG PROBLEM RESOLVED SO I CAN DRIVE MY CAR WITH SOME ASSURANCE I( OR MY PASSENGERS) WOULD NOT BE KILLED OR INJURED IN THE EVENT AIRBAGS ARE DEPLOYED. DRIVING THIS VEHICLE KNOWING THE DANGER IS LIKE DRIVING WITH A BOMB NOT KNOWING IF OR WHEN I OR MY PASSENGERS MIGHT BE KILLED.

VEHICLE HAD AN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. VEHICLE CONTINUED TO HAVE NO POWER STEERING FOR TWO BLOCKS. MADE IT TO MY DRIVEWAY TURNED THE CAR OFF, RESTARTED AND THEN ALL WAS OKAY. DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING. LUCKILY I WAS IN MY RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD AT 35MPH

I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST YEAR AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NO PARTS AVAILABLE, CANNOT GIVE ME A REPAIR DATE, AND WAS TOLD FORD HAS NOT EVEN STARTED MANUFACTURING THE ITEM AS OF YET. EMAIL FROM FORD: "FORD DOES NOT HAVE ANY PARTS TO RELEASE TO ANY DEALERS. AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A PART # LISTED IN THE BULLETIN WHICH LEADS ME TO THINK THEY DO NOT HAVE A SUPPLIER MAKING THE PARTS YET." I FIND THIS UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY WITH THE RECENT FATALITIES OCCURRING FROM SHRAPNEL SHOOTING FROM AIRBAGS. THE VEHICLE IS AN 2014 AND PURCHASED LAST YEAR.
