IN A CONVERSATION WITH THE DEALER, THEY SAID TO CALL FORD AND I DID TODAY ONLY TO BE TOLD, IN SPITE OF FEDERAL LAW. THEY WON'T HELP. CAN YOU?

I NEED THIS AIRBAG ISSUE RESOLVED, I'VE WAITED LONG ENOUGH. I CONTACTED Y'ALL IN APRIL 2016 AND ABOUT A YEAR PRIOR TO THAT IN JUNE 2015. I'VE TALKED TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND EVERYONE SAYS NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND NO LOANER CARS. Y'ALL ACT LIKE GETTING BEHIND A WHEEL OF A CAR THAT CAN KILL YOU FROM SHRAPNEL DEPLOYING FROM THE AIR BAG IS NO BIG DEAL. MY PREGNANT WIFE AND I RISK OUR LIVES DAILY IN FEAR THAT A SIMPLE FENDER BENDER COULD BE THE DEATH OF US. I WAS QUOTED THE AIRBAG WOULD BE READY IN THE SUMMER OF 2016 AND THEN LATER TOLD 4TH QUARTER OF 2016. I'M GROWING IMPAITIENT. 1.5 YEARS GOING ON 2, AND THEY'VE KNOW ABOUT IT WAY LONGER THAN THAT. KEEP IN MIND TAKATA DENIED IT AT FIRST. I NEED ANSWERS AND A PLAN OF ACTION OF HOW YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME FEEL SAFE AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY AS YOU ARE AWARE THE TAKATA DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL HAS IMMENSELY HINDERED MY OPPORTUNITY OF SELLING THE VEHICLE. FORD HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL, DUE TO THE RECALL THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE HAS STRONGLY DECREASED. THEY HAVE NOT RELAYED SUBSTANTIAL INFORMATION WHICH WILL ESSENTIALLY FIX THE RECALL. TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL ON MY 2014 MUSTANG IN MAY OF 2015 AND MY FORD DEALER WILL NOT FIX THE CAR. HE SAYS FORD WILL NOT SUPPLY THE NECESSARY PARTS. I WANT MY MUSTANG FIXED. I FEEL A YEAR IS LONG ENOUGH TO WAIT ON A RECALL REMEDY.
"TAKATA RECALL" WE FEEL FORD MOTOR CO. AND PLANET FORD ARE REFUSING TO FIX THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION BECAUSE OF A SUPPOSED UNAVAILABILITY OF PARTS. TWELVE MONTHS IS FAR TOO LONG. TWO DEATHS IN HOUSTON TX. WE PARKED THE CAR. THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPLETING THE INFLATOR REPLACEMENT AND GOING BEYOND THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT OF A MAILED NOTIFICATION. PROVIDE ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION IN THE FORM OF A LOANER OR RENTAL VEHICLE, FREE OF CHARGE, UNTIL OUR VEHICLE IS REPAIRED. WE FILED A CONSUMER COMPLAINT FORM WITH KEN PAXTON, ATTORNEY GENERAL OF TEXAS. CONTACTED THE GOVERNOR, LTG, MR. POE AND MR. CRUZ BUT HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS. WE SENT PLANET FORD A COPY OF THE COMPLAINT IN A CERTIFIED LETTER.
TAKATA RECALL - FORD ADVISE OF RECAL FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG SAFETY ISSUE IN MAY OF 2015. I JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD SAYING RECALL COULD NOT YET BE FIXED AND CURRENT TARGET WAS 2017. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I HAVE A SON DRIVING A CAR KNOWING THAT AT ANY TIME HIS LIFE COULD BE PUT IN DANGER BY LACK OF A TIMELY RESPONSE BY THE MANUFACTURER TO REPAIR A KNOWN DEFECT OF WHICH THEY [FORD] ARE AWARE, NOTIFIED - BUT DONE NOTHING. THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE EXCUSE WHY FORD IS FORCING US TO USE A VEHICLE WITH A KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT WITH THE TAKATA EXPLODING AIRBAGS WITHOUT CORRECTING THE SITUATION OR PROVIDING ALTERNATIVE SAFE PROVISIONS SUCH AS USE OF A NON-RECALLED VEHICLE OF SIMILAR MODEL, REFUND FOR THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLE AND ITS RETURN, OR REPLACEMENT WITH A SIMILAR MODEL VEHICLE WITHOUT THE KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT.
NEEDS THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAG REPLACED. RECALL ISSUED APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. STILL SELLING NEW CARS. WHERE IS MY REPLACEMENT?

FOR HOW MUCH LONGER ARE WE SUPPOSED TO WAIT AND RISK OUR LIVES EVERY TIME WE GET BEHIND THE WHEEL?! PLEASE SEE BELOW: MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: 15S21 SUMMARY: IN THE SUBJECT VEHICLES, CONTINUED EXPOSURE TO HIGH LEVELS OF ABSOLUTE HUMIDITY MAY CAUSE THE DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR HOUSING TO RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE THE SUPPLEMENTAL FRONT AIRBAGS ARE DESIGNED TO DEPLOY. SAFETY RISK: AN INFLATOR RUPTURE COULD RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING AND POTENTIALLY SERIOUSLY INJURING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. REMEDY: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR WITH A NEW ONE, FREE OF CHARGE. RECALL STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE
TAKATA RECALL THIS RECALL WAS INITIATED IN MAY OF 2015 WHICH IS NOW 16 MONTHS AGO AND THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND NO FIX EXPECTED FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP TWICE FOR OTHER GENERAL SERVICE AND BOTH TIMES NO FIX AVAILABLE AND NO REMORSE ON DEALERS PART FOR HAVING ME CONTINUE TO DRIVE AND PAY FOR A CAR THAT BY THE STATING OF THE RECALL COULD KILL MY SON OR HIS PASSENGERS WITH THE EQUIPMENT WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THEM IN CASE OF A CRASH. THIS IS HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE AS THE REASON THE CAR WAS PURCHASED WAS FOR SAFE TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN COLLEGE AND HOME. THE FORD DEALER BLAMES THE AIRBAG MANUFACTURER BUT I DIDN'T BUY A TAKATA I BOUGHT A FORD MUSTANG. THEY NEED ALTERNATE SUPPLY OR THEY NEED TO BUY THIS CAR BACK AT FULL RETAIL VALUE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE A LOSS ON A CAR DUE TO THEM CHOOSING THE WRONG PARTS SUPPLIER AND FAILING TO FIX A POTENTIALLY DEADLY DEFECT. BY LAW WE CAN'T KEEP LOADED GUNS LAYING AROUND WHERE SOMEONE COULD ACCIDENTALLY DISCHARGE THEM BUT FORD APPARENTLY THINKS WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH ONE POINTED AT OUR HEADS.
TAKATA RECALL RECALL WAS INITIATED IN MAY OF 2015. THIS IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. IT'S PATHETIC THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED VEHICLES HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND WHAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A TICKING TIME BOMB BUT THE MANUFACTURER CAN SELL NEW MODELS THAT HAVEN'T BEEN BOUGHT BY ANYONE AND THEY GET NEW AIRBAGS THAT I WOULD HOPE WOULD NOT POTENTIALLY HARMFUL THE CONSUMER.
TAKATA RECALL -- IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE THE INITIAL RECALL NOTIFICATION, AND PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIR. IT'S NOT REASONABLE TO EXPECT THE VEHICLE TO JUST BE PARKED UNTIL REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE MADE AVAILABLE.

I HAVE NOT HAD AN INCIDENT. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT, AS THIS VEHICLE WAS SUBJECT TO A RECALL, #15V319, ON 5-27-15 AND THE REPAIR IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. AS OF 1-4-17, PARTS TO FIX THE RECALL ISSUE HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED TO LOCAL DEALERS. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT FORD SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED THE PARTS NECESSARY TO EFFECT THIS REPAIR BY THIS TIME, AS OVER 1 1/2 YEARS HAVE ELAPSED SINCE THE RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED. IT IS UNSETTLING TO KNOW THAT THIS DEFECT EXISTS AS WE MUST STILL USE THE CAR ON A DAILY BASIS.

TAKATA RECALL - ACCORDING TO THE NHTSA.GOV WEBSITE, "IN THE SUBJECT VEHICLES, CONTINUED EXPOSURE TO HIGH LEVELS OF ABSOLUTE HUMIDITY MAY CAUSE THE DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR HOUSING TO RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE THE SUPPLEMENTAL FRONT AIRBAGS ARE DESIGNED TO DEPLOY." ... SINCE THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED ON 05/27/2015 AND THE REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED IN A TIMELY MANNER (2 YEARS NEXT MONTH)! MY WIFE AND I ARE EXTREMELY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR SON DRIVING THIS VEHICLE (AGE 18). TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM FORD OF THE RECALL ON MY AIRBAG IN MAY OF 2015. I LIVE IN ORLANDO FLORIDA, A HOT AND HUMID CLIMATE, WHICH INCREASES THE DANGER OF MY AIRBAG BEING DANGEROUS TO ME AND OTHER OCCUPANTS. IT HAS BEEN OVER 15 MONTHS AND FORD IS TELLING ME THERE IS NOT PART FOR REPLACEMENT AND NO TIMELINE WHEN THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG CAN BE REPLACED. I FEEL MY LIFE IS IN DANGER EVERY DAY I DRIVE THIS CAR.

PAINT IS BUBBLING ON FRONT LIP OF HOOD. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL SPOT ON THE ROOF BUT UNKNOWN IF IT IS RELATED TO THE PROBLEM. HOOD IS MADE OF ALUMINUM AND FORD APPARENTLY KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM SINCE THEY ISSUED A TSB IN 2004 ON THIS VERY SUBJECT. THEY WON'T COVER THE FIX BECAUSE OF MILEAGE BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MILEAGE. THIS WAS CAUSED BY IRON CONTAMINATION AT THE FACTORY BEFORE THE CAR WAS PAINTED.

MY VEHICLE AND THE SUBJECT OF THIS COMPLAINT IS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG GT. THE DATE OF THE INCIDENT IS APPROXIMATE AS IS THE VEHICLE MILEAGE. I WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON N BROOKS ST. IN BRAZORIA TX. I WAS IN A SCHOOL ZONE AND MY SPEED WAS 25 MPH. I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION CONTROLLED BY A BLINKING RED LIGHT AND APPLIED MY BRAKES TO BRING MY VEHICLE TO A STOP. MY VEHICLE DID NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BUT CONTINUED ACROSS THE INTERSECTION IN WHAT I CAN DESCRIBE AS A SLOW JERKING MOTION. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO GULF COAST FORD IN ANGLETON TX ON 5/12/15 AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER. HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE AND SAID HE WOULD DO SOME FURTHER CHECKING AND CALL ME BACK. HE HAS NOT CONTACTED ME. I PLACED A PHONE CALL TO HIM TODAY 5/15/15 AND WAS TOLD HE HAD A GUEST IN HIS OFFICE AND WOULD RETURN MY CALL. DURING THE CRASH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SEVERE DAMAGE BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED BACK INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RECALL FOR MY AIRBAGS IN MY FORD MUSTANG, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE TO SCHEDULE WHEN WE CAN GET THEM REPLACED AND FIXED.
