TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 8 MONTHS AGO BUT FORD KEEPS TELLING ME NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND TO JUST DROVE CAREFULLY ! RECALL METAL FRAGMENTS IN AIR BAGS PARTS AFTER A YEAR ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE CUSTOMER LIFES ARE IN DANGER DO TO SUCH HAZARDOUS SAFETY
I HAVE RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S21 LETTERS FROM FORD ON JULY 2015 AND MAY 2016 HOWEVER THE DEALERS WILL NOT ALLOW US TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE DRIVER AIR BAG REPLACED. I HAVE COPIED THIS COMPLAINT TO OUR ATTORNEY AND HOLD ALL ASSOCIATED RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES AS THIS RECALL HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED OVER 12 MONTHS AGO AND THE DEALERS ARE NOT MOVING EXPEDITIOUSLY TO RESOLVE SUCH POTENTIAL INJURY
"TAKATA RECALL" THE RECALL ON MY 2014 FORD MUSTANG AIR BAG WAS PUBLISHED IN MAY 2015. IT IS NOW DECEMBER OF 2016 AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FURTHER IN REGARDS TO THE AIR BAG ISSUE. WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO GET MY AIRBAGS REPLACED?
TAKATA RECALL - IN MAY 2015, MY CLIENT RECEIVED A NHTSA RECALL 15V319 FOR THE AIRBAG AND BROUGHT HER VEHICLE TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO COMPLY WITH THE RECALL NOTICE. AT THAT TIME, SHE WAS ADVISED THAT THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG WASN'T AVAILABLE AND THEY DID NOT HAVE A TIME AS TO WHEN IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE. ON AUGUST 22, 2016, MY CLIENT WAS DRIVING HER 2014 FORD MUSTANG WHEN SHE REAR-ENDED A VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND CAUSED PAINFUL LACERATIONS, ABRASIONS AND BURNS RELATED TO THE INFLATOR'S EXPLODING METAL FRAGMENTS. MY CLIENT TOOK HER VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND HER VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP DID NOT OFFER HER ALTERNATE VEHICLE TRANSPORTATION. SHE HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CONTINUE PAYING ON THE MUSTANG ENDURING 2 CAR PAYMENTS AND INSURANCE. HER VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED IN MARCH, 2017.
I JUST GOT THIS CAR USED TOOK IT IN FOR A NOISE IN THE TRANSMISSION IN 5TH GEAR KNOWING IT IS UNDER WARRANTY THE FORD DEALER STARTED THE WORK ON THE CAR THREE DAYS LATER I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS ABUSED AND NOT UNDER WARRANTY I WAS TOLD THAT THE OLD OWNER CHANGED THE CLUTCH THAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE THIS CAR IS NOT MODIFIED IN ANY WAS SO WHY THE CLUTCH AND I HAVE READ ALL OF THE 5TH GEAR PROBLEMS LIKE MINE. THEY HAVE TOLD ME THE REPAIR IS 3400. TO FIX AND IF THEY PUT IT BACK TOGETHER IT WILL BE 500 OR 600 I DIDN'T GIVE THEM WRITTEN OR WARBLE PERMISSION TO DO THIS SO I DON'T KNOW HOW I WILL HANDLE IT. THIS IS A ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THIS TRANSMISSION I'M TRYING TO WORK IT OUT WITH THE DEALER BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW IT WILL GO. "TAKATA RECALL" - I AM WONDERING ABOUT THE RECALL, I OWN A 2014 FORD MUSTANG GT WHICH WAS ON THE RECALL LIST. I GOT MY DOCUMENTATION ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO NOW AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE FROM FORD OR ANYONE. WHAT IS THE STANDING ON THE RECALL? WHAT ARE WE TO DO AS OWNERS, THESE CARS ARE UNSAFE AND NO ONE WILL TAKE THEM ON TRADE. AND THE FINANCE COMPANIES AREN'T DOING ANYTHING EITHER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. AFTER EVERY RAIN, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS LEAKING WATER THAT TRAVELED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOORBOARD. THE WATER CREATED MOLD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,500. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

RECEIVED LETTER FROM FORD SAYING THERE WAS A RECAL A MONTH AFTER WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN MARCH 2015. WE HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP EVERY WEEK SINCE AND THEY ARE CLAIMING FORD STILL DOESNT HAVE THE PART AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE US A LOANER. THEY TOLD US IF IT DOES ERUPT DONT WORRY BECAUSE THEN WE CAN SUE FORD. I DONT WANT A LAWSUIT I WAS MY CAR FIXED AND TO BE SAFE
I WAS TOLD MY CAR HAD A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS WHEN I WAS THINKING OF PURCHASING. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE AS SOON AS THE PARTS CAME IN. THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO. EVERY TIME I GO TO HAVE MAINTENANCE DONE I ASK ABOUT THIS RECALL AND WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT TO BE DONE....HOPEFULLY BEFORE IT KILLS ME!!! I LIVE IN ALPHARETTA, GA AND THE TRAFFIC IS AS BAD AS EVERYONE SAYS. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. I WOULD HATE THAT MY DEATH OCCURRED BECAUSE FORD DIDN'T REPLACE FAULTY PARTS.

TAKATA RECALL. I PURCHASED THIS CAR USED APPROX A YEAR AGO. I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM FORD JULY 2015. THERE IS STILL NO PLACE THAT CAN MAKE THESE REPAIRS DUE TO NOT HAVING THE PARTS. I FOUND OUT YESTERDAY THAT THESE CARS WITH THIS RECALL WERE NOT TO BE RESOLD. I WENT TO CHECK ABOUT TRADING MY CAR IN JUST TO UPGRADE TO A NEWER YEAR WHEN I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CARS CANNOT BE RESOLD. THE TRADE VALUE WAS A JOKE AND I DO BELIEVE THAT THE RECALL HAS ALOT TO DO WITH THAT. I AM VERY UPSET THAT I AM DRIVING A CAR WITH MY CHILD IN IT THAT HAS THIS AIRBAG ISSUE. I CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE LETTER WHEN I RECEIVED IT AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AND THAT WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE I WOULD BE INFORMED. WELL STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND I KEEP GETTING TOLD THERE AREN'T ANY PARTS YET. SO WHAT DO I DO I PURCHASED A 28000.00 CAR THAT IS WORTH NOTHING FOR A TRADE AND IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING FROM 1-2-3 WHEN COLD. THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT WANT TO GO INTO 1ST OR 2ND WITHOUT GRINDING AND WILL GRIND AN POP OUT OF 3RD WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT INTO IT SOMETIMES. I HAVE BEEN TO THE FORD DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT FORD KNOWS ABOUT THE GRINDING ISSUE IN THE MUSTANG BUT WILL DO NOTHING TO FIX IT. I WAS TOLD BY THE FORD SERVICE ADVISOR THAT FORD WAS DOING A FLUID CHANGE TO A HEAVIER TRANS FLUID AND NOW THEY HAVE STOPPED. NOW I AM LEFT WITH A BRAND NEW MUSTANG THAT GRINDS THE GEARS EVERY DAY. *TR
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE MOTOR REVS UNCONTROLLED TO ABOUT 7000 RPMS. I HAVE TO TURN IGNITION OFF TO STOP THE MOTOR FROM DAMAGING ITS SELF. IF MY FOOT WAS TO EVER SLIP OFF THE CLUTCH, WE WOULD RACE UNCONTROLLED IN REVERSE! THE CAR IS ALWAYS PARKED AND STARTED WHILE IN REVERSE. ALMOST AFRAID TO START THIS CAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER FAILED TO RETRACT CAUSING THE CONTACT TO STRIKE HER NOSE ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONTACT'S NOSE WAS BRUISED, BUT NO MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

TAKATA INFLATORS WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD IN JULY OF 2015 THAT CAR WAS TO BE RECALLED WHEN I CONTACTED FORD YESTERDAY, THEY SAID THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL FIX THE CAR...MAYBE IN JULY OF 2016 THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNACCEPTABLE WHAT IS BEING DONE TO PROTECT ME AND GETTING THIS RECALL DONE?
THE CAR CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIR BAG, FOR WHICH A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD STATING THE AIRBAG MUST BE REPLACED. I CONTACTED THE FORD DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR, AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THE AIRBAG COULD BE REPLACED. I ASKED IF THEY WOULD GIVE ME A SPECIAL DEAL IN TRADING UP TO A 2015 MUSTANG THAT DOESN'T HAVE THE AIRBAG PROBLEM. THEY SAID NO. I ALSO CONTACTED FORD HQ WHO INDICATED I BASICALLY HAVE TWO OPTIONS AT THIS TIME: NOT DRIVING THE CAR (WHICH HAS ONLY 3100 MILES ON IT) OR DRIVE IT AT THE RISK OF BEING KILLED IF THE AIR BAG EXPLODES. DO I HAVE ANY OTHER RECOURSE?
SINCE APROX 500 MILES I HAVE NOTICED A VERY CONSISTENT KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE REAR WHEEL AREA. FORD DEALER LOOKED AND HAS SAID ITS A NORMAL OPERATING NOISE FOR THE CAR PER FOR ENGINEERS. I DO NOT AGREE. ITS A KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK AT LOW, PARKING LOT SPEEDS AND CAN BE HEARD DRIVING STRAIGHT OR A LITTLE EASIER TO HEAR WHEN TURNING. THIS IS A NEW CAR THAT HAS NOT BEEN RACED, ABUSED OR MODIFIED AT ALL AND ITS COMPLETELY WRONG FOR THEM TO SAY THIS NOISE IS NORMAL. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
AS I DRIVE MY CAR OVER BUMPS (SPEED BUMPS, GOING UP OR DOWN IN PARKING GARAGE) THE CAR GRUNTS OR SQUEAKS. I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW ON MARCH FIRST OF 2014, AND I NOTICED THE PROBLEM NOT TOO LONG AFTER BUYING IT; I ASSUMED IT WAS NORMAL BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS 2007 MUSTANG HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I TOLD SOME FRIENDS WHO SUGGEST I TAKE IT TO FORD. WHEN I WAS DESCRIBING WHAT THE PROBLEM THE SERVICE TECH NEW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS. THEY HAD A RECALL FOR 2011 TO 2013 MUSTANGS FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE. THEY REPAIRED THE LOWER ARM CONTROLS IN THE FRONT. THE ISSUE IS NOW GONE. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO 2014 MODELS. I HAVE A 2014 FORD MUSTANG 3.7L V6 WITH THE PERFORMANCE PACKAGE. THE FOLLOWING EXCERPT IS WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE IS THE SAME PROBLEM ADDRESSED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL. FORD TSB ARTICLE # 12-8-24 ISSUE SOME 2011-2013 MUSTANGS MAY EXHIBIT A GRUNT/CREAK/CHIRP/SQUEAK NOISE FROM THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM HYDRO BUSHING. THESE NOISES MAY OCCUR OVER LARGE VERTICAL BUMPS LIKE SPEED BUMPS, POT HOLES, ROUGH ROADS, AND DRIVEWAY APPROACHES. *TR
UPON ACCELERATION TO PASS A SLOW VEHICLE A STRONG ODOR STARTED TO FILL THE VEHICLE, ALMOST LIKE A PROPANE SMELL. THIS I LATER LEARNED TO BE EXHAUST FUMES, OR I SHOULD NOTE, UNBURNED FUEL PASSING THROUGH THE SYSTEM. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED, AND ONLY DOES THIS UNDER ACCELERATION WHEN PASSING SLOWER VEHICLES OR USING MORE POWER TO ASCEND HILLS OR MOUNTAIN TYPE ROADS. VEHICLE THROWN NO SES CODES. VEHICLE DOES NOT STUTTER OR HESITATED, BUT AS NOTED DOES PRODUCE A FOUL SMELL UNDER HARDER ACCELERATION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD MUSTANG. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AT APPROXIMATELY 80 MPH, A FUEL ODOR EMITTED FROM THE AIR VENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE A SMOKE TEST WAS PERFORMED AND THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,400. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL-DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG WE ARE SUPPOSED TO WAIT TO HAVE OUR AIRBAGS REPLACED? MY CAR WILL BE 2 YEARS OLD IN OCTOBER AND I AM JUST KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THAT I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT THAT DEPLOYS THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS-THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. I HAD A BLOW OUT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND I COULD NOT STOP IT I ENDED UP HITTING A CURB WHICH ACTUALLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND THE TIRE ROD WAS BROKE THE STEERING WAS OUT THE SUSPENSION WAS OUT THE COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS OUT I WAS THANKFUL THAT MY CHILD TO JUST BE BRUISED BECAUSE THERE WAS A HOLE ON SIDE OF TIRE BIGGER THAN 1/2 DOLLAR. I WAS TOLD THE TIRES WOULD NOT BLOW OUT (AT DEALER SHIP) AND PAID EXTRA WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR FOR THE PROTECTION. I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING THE DAMAGE THE VEHICLE OCCURRED JUST BECAUSE OF A BLOW OUT . THE WOMAN WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SAID YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE HIT A CURB ANY EXPERIENCE DRIVERS OUT HERE KNOWS IF YOU HIT A CURB IT DOES NOT CAUSE THIS DAMAGE AND I AM THANKFUL FOR MY INSURANCE AS THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE VEHICLE AS SERIOUS DEFECTS. I WAS TOLD THAT THE DAMAGE TO THIS VEHICLE HAPPENED AT THE TIME OF THIS SO CALLED BLOW OUT AND THAT IS WHY I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE SO I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WHEN THE DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE DRIVER SIDE BACK TIRE WAS THE RESULT OF MAYBE A ROD HITTING THE BACK TIRE CAUSING THE BLOW OUT BECAUSE I HAVE DRIVEN A VEHICLE FOR OVER 35 YEARS AND NEVER HAD THIS MUCH DAMAGE NOR THIS MUCH PROBLEM DUE TO A BLOW OUT. NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED ON MY VEHICLE UNTIL I GOT STOPPED NOT EVEN LOW PRESSURE TIRE ...WHEN THE STEERING WENT OUT IT FELT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO DRIVE A CAR WITH THE KEYS OFF , THE STEERING WHEEL FROZE.... AT THIS TIME I STILL DO NOT KNOW ALL THE DAMAGE AS THIS WAS JUST VISUAL INSPECTION FROM THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ATTEMPTING TO FIX MY NEW CAR ...I DO BLAME FORD FOR THIS AS THIS WAS UNUSUAL AS I DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT YET THE CAR LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN IN A HEAD IN COLLISION. *TR

TAKATA RECALL - THIS 2014 MUSTANG HAS APPROXIMATELY 22700 MILES AND HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS. THOUGH FORD HAS NOTIFIED ME THAT AIRBAGS ARE AVAILABLE, I CANNOT GET A DEALER (I'VE BEEN TO TWO) TO INSTALL THE AIRBAG. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR HAS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT IN THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN NOTED SINCE THE CAR HAD 5000 MILES ON IT. DESPITE MORE THAN FIVE TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND MORE THAN 28 DAYS IN THE SHOP, THE CAR IS STILL UNREPAIRED. THE FORD ENGINEER'S LATEST SPECULATION AS TO THE CAUSE IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM, WHICH HE ACKNOWLEDGED COULD AFFECT ALL SYSTEMS, INCLUDING BRAKES, THROTTLE CONTROL, LIGHTING, AND THE AIRBAGS TO NAME A FEW. BBB'S AUTOLINE ARBITRATOR AGREED THAT THE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND ORDERED FORD TO REPURCHASE THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, FORD DID NOT DO SO WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME DUE TO FRIVOLOUS DOCUMENT REQUESTS THAT DELAYED THE PROCESS, AND THEIR REFUSAL TO INSPECT THE CAR ON SITE OR PICK THE CAR UP WITH A WRECKER AT A REASONABLE TIME. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND STILL SAYS THEY DO NOT KNOW OF ANY ISSUES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION SUIT STARTED.
