TAKATA RECALL
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY WHEN I HEARD A LOUD TICKING NOISE COMING FROM BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE TICKING NOISE HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAGS BUT THE TICKING NOISE IS DEFINTELY COMING FROM THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LOCATION. I HAVE NOT HAD A REPAIR TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSE THE TROUBLE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR REPAIRS IF IT IS AN AIR BAG ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON OUR PICKUP IN MARCH OF 2017. CALLED WESTERN SLOPE AUTO ABOUT THE RECALL THREE TO FOUR TIMES AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE RECALL AS IT WAS NOT THEIR (BASICALLY) PROBLEM AND TO CALL CORPORATE. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US A NUMBER FOR THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE. WE ARE NOW WAITING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT....PERHAPS AN ACCIDENT. WE DO NOT WANT TO WAIT FOR AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAG NOT DEPLOY SO WE DON'T DRIVE OUR VEHICLE VERY MUCH. WE NEED THE USE OF THIS VEHICLE. WE ARE PRETTY UPSET WITH WESTERN SLOPE AUTO IN GRAND JUNCTION, CO.

RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH 2017. CONTACTED CORWIN FORD TO SCHEDULE REPLACEMENT, WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT THEY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT DATE AND WHEN WE ARRIVED TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS REPLACED, WE WERE TOLD THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY IN STOCK AND WOULDN'T UNTIL AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER 2017. WE CALLED AGAIN IN AUGUST, THEY SAID WOULDN'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS UNTIL DECEMBER 2017. WE HAVE CALLED CORWIN FORD AT THE END OF NOVEMBER AND THEY CLAIM NOW THAT THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT AIR BAG REPLACEMENTS OR THAT THEY ARE EVEN GETTING THEM. WE HAVE HAD TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR WORK PURPOSES. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE DEALER IS EVEN REMOTELY INTERESTED IN GETTING THE AIR BAGS REPLACED.
TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR DEFECT FOR WHICH THE REPAIR PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICE.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT IF OTHER VEHICLE ISSUES ARE SOME HOW RELATED TO THE AIR BAG RECALL, BEFORE I SPEND MY OWN MONEY FOR REPAIRS? THE ISSUES I AM HVNG ARE IN THE VACINITY OF THE AIR BAGS. SPECIFICALLY THE BLEND DOOR AND AIR CONDITIONER.

HAVE A 2008 HONDA GOT THE RECALL NOTICE AND THE FIX WITH IN A MONTH OF EACH OTHER. EVERY TIME I CALL FORD SAME ANSWER NO IDEA WERE WAITING ON PARTS.

TAKATA RECALL -- IN JANUARY, 2017, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE AIRBAGS IN MY FORD RANGER HAVE BEEN RECALLED. THE LETTER STATES THAT I WILL RECEIVE NOTICE WHEN REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS ARE AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN 11 MONTHS AND NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME REGARDING REPLACEMENT. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE RISK OF INJURY TO MYSELF AND PASSENGER SHOULD THE AIRBAGS NEED TO DEPLOY. IT SEEMS AS IF THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT TAKING THE RECALL REPLACEMENT SERIOUSLY. FRIENDS ARE NERVOUS TO RIDE WITH ME. I FEAR THAT THE INACTION WILL ALSO DECREASE THE TRUCK'S VALUE.

THIS IS A YEAR OLD RECALL FOR THE 2007 FORD RANGER PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG I MADE A COMPLAINT OVER 3 MONTHS AGO CASE NUMBER 110630 WITH YOU GUYS I GOT A CASE NUMBER A YEAR AGO WHEN I FIRST GOT THE RECALL AND THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO GET IT FIXED I HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM EITHER FORD OR YOU AND IT IS DISGUSTING PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE IN DANGER AND YOU COULD CARE LESS I AM APPALLED AT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OR PROFESSIONALISM THAT YOU ARE FOR
TAKATA INFLATORS CAN'T GET DEALER TO REPAIR THEY KEEP SAYING THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS FOR REPAIRS. WE HAVE CALLED AND CHECKED NUMEROUS TIMES
TAKATA RECALL I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL FOR MY TRUCK EARLY IN 2016. WHEN I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER ABOUT GETTING IT FIXED, THEY TOLD ME THEY DON,T HAVE THE PARTS AND MAY TAKE A WHILE, BUT SAID THE TRUCK WAS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE. IN THE MEAN TIME I CONTINUED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK SINCE IT WAS MY MAIN MODE OF TRANSPORTATION FOR WORK. ONE NIGHT DRIVING WITH A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE THAT I WAS HIT BY ANOTHER DRIVER, SOMETHING THAT WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF MY CONTROL. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG WERE DEPLOYED. MY PASSENGER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A MINOR CONCUSSION AND STILL SUFFERING FROM MIGRAINES. THIS RECALL HAS BEEN FOR MANY CARS AND THERE ARE MANY OTHERS DRIVING AROUND WITH THEIR AND THEIR PASSENGERS LIVES AT RISK. YOU CAN NOT STOP SOMEONE ELSE HITTING YOU WHILE DRIVING ALONG. THIS IS A BUG ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO GET RESOLVED BEFORE MORE PEOPLE GET HURT OR WORSE. AIRBAGS ARE SUPPOSE TO KEEP US SAFE AND PROTECT US FROM GETTING HURT NOT CAUSING INJURIES.

THE RECALL FOR MY AIRBAG IS INCOMPLETE AS THE DEALER HAS NOT YET FOUND A PROPER REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM. I'M CONCERNS FOR MY SAFETY AND MY PASSENGERS.

I ASKED THEM WHAT FORD IS DOING FOR ITS CUSTOMERS SEEING AS THE AIR BAGS IF DEPLOYED COULD KILL YOU OR SERIOUS INJURY. THEIR SIMPLE RESPONSE WAS WAIT ON THE REMEDY. BUT GM HAD A MASSIVE RECALL THEY SUPPLIED CUSTOMERS WITH EITHER A RENTAL CAR UNTIL THE REMEDY BECAME AVAILABLE OR TRADED THEM OUT OF THE VEHICLES THEY WERE IN. REALLY FORD NOTHING TO PROTECT YOURSELVES OR YOUR "CUSTOMERS"!!!

TAKATA RECALL: I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO A DEELER OVER TWO YEARS AGO TO GET THIS RECALL FIXED, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AND WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND YOU TO GET A PAPER ALLOWING THE AIR BAGS TO BE DISABLED. I AM HANDICAPPED AND FREQUENTLY REQUIRE SOMEONE (WIFE) TO ASSIST ME. I HAVE JUST SEEN ON TV THAT 20 PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM TAKATA AIR BAG RUPTURES. I WILL NOT LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL IT GETS FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP THAT IS NEARIST TO ME SAID THAT THEY HAVE NO LONER VEHICLES FOR THIS RECALL. PLEASE ADVISE

NONE OF THE PEOPLE I SPOKE WITH HAS ANY INFORMATION AVAILABLE AS TO WHEN THIS DEFECT IS TO BE REPAIRED. SINCE THIS DEFECT IS FROM TAKATA AND INVOLVES THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, MY WIFE IS RELUCTANT TO RIDE WITH ME IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. ALL I GET FROM THESE PEOPLE IS WAIT WAIT, WAIT. I AM TIRED OF WAITING. CAN YOU HELP ME GET THIS RESOLVED.
