TAKATA RECALL. MY FORD RANGER HAS BEEN UNDER RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SINCE JULY, 2016. I REALIZE TAKATA IS IN BANKRUPTCY, BUT BOTH THE NOTICE OF FILING AND THE TAKATA RECALL SITE STATE THIS SHOULD NOT IMPACT THE ABILITY TO GET THE AIRBAG REPAIRED. UNFORTUNATELY, WHEN I CALLED LAIRD NOLLER FORD IN TOPEKA, KS THEY CLAIM THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIX THE AIRBAG BECAUSE OF THE TAKATA BANKRUPTCY AS THEY CAN'T GET THE PART(S) THEY NEED. I JUST WANT THE AIRBAG FIXED SO IT IS SAFE.

I RECIEVED A NOTICE VIA USPS TAKADA AIRBAG IN MY 2010 FORD RANGER HAS BEEN RECALLED I WAS TO BE NOTIFIED AS TO WHEN I WOULD BE GETTING A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG.. I RECENTLY RECEIVED A POST CARD VIA USPS THAT TAKADA HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. INQUIRY MADE THROUGH YOUR WEBSITE INDICATES THAT MY VEHICLE'S AIRBAG IS TO BE REPLACED. NNHTSA RECALL #16V384. MANUFACTURE RECALL #16S26. TAKADA DIRECTIVES 16E-042, 16E-043, 16E-044. QUESTION: AM I OR AM I NOT GETTING MY AIR BAG REPLACED IN MY 2010 FORD RANGER. NO DAMAGE, AS OF THIS , HAS OCCURRED.
CALLED THREE FORD DEALERS FROM THE LIST AND ALL SAID THEY WONT REPLACE AIRBAGS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE THEM AND THE COMPANY THAT PROVIDES THEM IS BANKRUPT. THAT IS WRONG

TAKATA RECALL PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG PARTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN, THE TURN SIGNAL DID NOT WORK. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. AS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THE CONTACT PULLED OUT THE TURN SIGNAL RELAY AND NOTICED THAT THE RELAY WAS BURNT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. ALSO, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED (PARADISE FORD, COCOA, FL, 321-632-2222) AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX THIS. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY OF 2016 STATING A DEFECT IN THE AIR BAGS. HAVE THEY GOT THE NEW AIR BAGS OR PARTS? NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET I WANT TO GET THIS REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL.I WENT TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TRUCK WAS BOUGHT (NEW) AND ASKED WHEN THE BAG WOULD BE REPLACED, AND WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY WHEN I WAS TO TAKE IT IN TO BE REPAIRED. NO WORD HAS COME TO ME FROM ANYONE.

THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO OPTION OF A LOANER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PART WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER TO RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. I HAD TO MANUALLY CHECK MY VIN TO SEE IT HAS A RECALL ON IT AND HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY EITHER OF THE TWO FORD DEALERSHIPS (ONE IS THE ONE I PURCHASED IT NEW FROM) TO SCHEDULE THE REPLACEMENT. IT'S ALMOST BEEN A YEAR SINCE IT WAS LISTED AS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

DUE TO A RECENT ROAD HAZARD A TIRE WENT FLAT, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RETRIEVE THE SPARE, IT COULD NOT BE REMOVED BECAUSE THE CABLE HOLDING IT UP RUSTED SOLID. ADDITIONALLY, THE BED IS ALSO RUSTING TO THE EXTENT WHERE HOLES GO THROUGH TO THE ROAD(SEE PIC). THE DEALER TOOK PICTURES AND SENT THEM TO FORD WHO IN TURN SAID THEY WILL TAKE NO ACTION BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS SIX YEARS OLD. MY VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW, IT HAS 44,000 MILES ON IT AND IS WELL TAKEN CARE OF(SEE PIC). I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS RUSTING TO THE POINT WHERE SOME PARTS (SPARE TIRE RETRACTER) HAVE BECOME USLESS. I WILL THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE PURCHASING ANOTHER FORD. FORD - FIX OR REPAIR DAILY

TAKATA RECALL THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE CARE CRASH THAT LEFT THE HIGHWAY AND WENT AIRBORNE AND CRASHED INTO AN EMBAKMENT HEAD ON. AIR BAGS INFLATED PASSENGER RECEIVED INJURIES TO LEFT WRIST BROKEN SEVERE LACERATION ON LEFT HAND BROKEN RIGHT RING FINGER, BROKEN RIB LEFT SIDE AND BACK. COMPRESSED FRACTURES OF THE VERTIBRA WIHICH REQUIRED HOSPITALIZATION. ACCIDENT HAPPENED 08-18-16 DRIVER WAS ALSO INJURED.

FORD HAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF THIS AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL IN A TIMELY MANNER,RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE JULY 2016. ALMOST A YEAR! FORD SHOULD KEEP CUSTOMERS UPDATED AND INFORMED OF THEIR STATUS.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF 2016 ABOUT THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR BEING DEFECTIVE ON MY 2010 FORD RANGER. I CALLED ON JULY 25, 2017 ABOUT THE RECALL AND THEY SAID THE REPAIR PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE YET. IT'S RIDICULOUS THAT IT TAKES THIS LONG TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY ON JULY 2016 ABOUT A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE, THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH RESULTING IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. I CALLED COVINGTON FORD AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 11/15/17 AND THE BOTH STATED THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I WAS NOTIFIED MY PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY CAUSE ME DEATH IF IT DEPLOYS IN AN ACCIDENT. EACH TIME I CALL A FORD DEALERSHIP OR FORD COMPANY DIRECTLY I AM TOLD THE AIRBAG IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH NO TIME TABLE AS TO WHEN IT WILL BE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS EVERYDAY I DRIVE THE TRUCK I AM AT RISK OF DEATH. I WANT THE AIR BAG REPLACED OR AN EVEN VEHICLE EXCHANGE FOR A COMPATIBLE ONE.
