TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD RANGER. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE TAILGATE AND IT COMPLETELY FELL OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER COULD NOT REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,766. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,700.
2010 FORD RANGER LST 4 CYLINDER. THERE IS A SEVER VIBRATION AT 2000 RPMS AND THE ENGINE RUNS ROUGH AT IDLE. 850 RPMS ON THE TACH. THE VIBRATION IS IN THE STEERING AND THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TRUCK. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT WAS JUST THE NATURE OF THE BEAST...WHEN ON EXTENDED TRIPS THE VIBRATION IS FELT IN YOUR HANDS,FEET, LEGS AND THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS. COULD THIS BE IN THE ENGINE (OUT OF BALANCE) OR EXHAUST, SUSPENSION OR WHAT??? I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED PRIOR TO THE ACCELERATION BUT AT THE TIME OF ACCELERATION THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATING THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS STATED THERE WAS NOTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT NOR DID THE VEHICLE NEED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78. UPDATED 08/01/11*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON, NO SENSORS CAME ON. BUT, THE VEHICLE WAS IN CRUISE MODE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SENSOR ILLUMINATED, ONLY WHEN HE HIT THE SET MODE, NOT CRUISE MODE. ONCE HE TAPPED THE BRAKE, THE SENSOR WENT OFF. UPDATED 08/04/11
HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRATION COMING FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT, NUMBING DRIVERS HANDS AFTER AN HOUR OR SO OF DRIVING, WHICH IN MY OPINION IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION LOOSING THE FEELING IN YOUR HANDS WHILE DRIVING, THIS IS REPORTED ALL OVER INTERNET FROM SAME VEHICLE DIFFERENT YEAR MODELS ALSO. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD RANGER. WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE AT 2 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK. IN ORDER TO STOP THE ACCELERATION, THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. . THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7,000.
