CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING THE ENGINE WILL OVER HEAT CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO PULL OVER. DEALER NOTIFIED TS
THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED THREE INCIDENTS WHERE THE VEHICLE STALLED. (THE FIST INCIDENT THE CONSUMER WAS ENTERING HIGHWAY TRAFFIC, THE SECOND WAS AFTER A LIGHT CHANGED/STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, AND THE THIRD INCIDENT THE CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE MOTOR STARTED TO MISS, AND A COUPLE OF SECONDS LATER QUIT) SCC
THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING, AND SUDDENLY WITH OUT WARNING, THE ENGINE SIMPLY QUIT AS IT HAS DONE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IN THE PAST. ALSO DURING THIS INCIDENT, THERE WAS VERY LITTLE BRAKING ABILITY DUE TO THE LOSS OF THE ENGINE. WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN IN OCTOBER 2002, THE CONSUMER SUSPECTED THAT THE INCIDENT WAS EXACTLY WHAT THE ARTICLE STATED; CONCERNING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IGNITION DEVICE. THE CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE HE IS BEING STONEWALLED AND IS REQUESTING THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY REIMBURSE HIM FOR THE MONEY SPENT AND REMEDIAL SERVICE ON THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE AT FORDS EXPENSE. *SCC
WHILE HAVING THE TIRES BALANCED, THE DEALERSHIP NOTICED THE FRONT COIL SPRING HAD BROKE AND COULD PUNCTURE THE TIRES IF THEY WEREN'T REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL 04V332000 ON THIS ISSUE BUT WAS FOR LATER MODEL YEARS. *JB

'RECALL CAMPAIGN' FORD TAURUS 1995 RECALLED THE ENGINE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLING CIRCUIT BREAKER. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER REPLACED THE MOTOR AND FAN, BUT NEVER INSTALLED THE BREAKER. THE DEALER FOUND A LEAK IN THE RADIATOR BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE A REPLACEMENT SO THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER SHOP. AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON JUNE 11. 2002 THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED ON JUNE 28, 2002. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC WHO PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED THE RECALL WORK, STATED THE VEHICLE HAD A BLOWN HEAD GASKET AND POSSIBLY A CRACKED HEAD FROM OVERHEATING. THE MECHANIC STATED THE FAN MOTOR DID NOT CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO OVERHEAT. THE CONSUMER STATED HE LEARNED OF A RECALL REGARDING THE HEAD GASKET WHICH THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP DENIED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND THEY FOUND THE FAN MOTOR AND CIRCUIT BREAKER NOT WORKING PROPERLY, THEY DENIED THERE WAS A PROBLEM, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AGAIN, AND THE MOTOR HAD TO BE REPLACED FOR A SECOND TIME. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT TIMES. *JB

STEERING GEAR AND SUBFRAME BUSHING WERE REPLACED. AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING. CLOCKSPRING ASSEMBLY REPLACED.
WHILE PULLING OFF FROM A STOP HEARD TWO LOUD POPS, AND STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED UP. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK

THE CONSUMER WAS DISPUTING CHARGES BY THE DEALER SINCE REPAIRS WERE NOT DONE AND THE DEALER MISREPRESENTED WHAT REPAIRS WERE NEEDED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALER FOR A COOLING SYSTEM RECALL, THE VEHICLE WAS LOOSING COOLANT IN THE RESERVOIR AND THERE WAS A SLOW LEAK FROM THE SIDE RADIATOR. *YH

AFTER THE RECALL FOR THE COOLING SYSTEM BREAKER FAN WAS REPAIRED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT. THE CONSUMER LATER FOUND OUT THROUGH THEIR PERSONAL MECHANIC THAT THE NEW COMPONENT WAS NOT PROPERLY ANCHORED AND WAS CAUSING VIBRATION WHICH DISCONNECTED THE FAN AND RESULTED IN THE OVERHEATING. FORD HAD REPLACED OIL PAN AND VALVE GASKETS IN 8/25/00 FOR $735.00. ON 5/09/02 OIL GASKETS BLEW OUT ON HIGHWAY . FORD DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY REGARDING THIS MATTER. THREE WEEKS PRIOR, THE RADIATOR BLEW, COSTING $385.00 TO REPLACE. THE FORD COMPANY NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT HAS PRODUCED A POOR PRODUCT, AND THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT NEED TO BEAR THIS BURDEN AND COST.
FAILURE OF TRANSMISSION. FORD TAURUS HAS A PRIOR HISTORY OF FAILED TRANMISSION PROBLEMS. CAR TAKEN TO DEALER ON 5/21/01 TO CHECK PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING HARSHLY AND CAR JOLTING INTERMITENTLY. DEALER PERFORMED NDS DIAGNOSTICS AND NO FAULT CODES RESULTED. INSPECTED MOTOR MOUNTS AND RESET IDLE. NO PROBLEMS FOUND. ON 5/7/02 CAR CAME TO A HALT ON THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE (NY TO NJ) DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC.*AK
FRONT COIL SPRINGS BROKE, DROPPING FRONT END OF VEHICLE ON TIRES. TOOK TO DEALER, AND HAD IT REPAIRED.*AK DEALER REPLACED FRONT SPRINGS STRUTS AND SWAY BAR LINKS. *TT
