THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO OBTAIN INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT OF THE RECALLED (01V258) DEFECTIVE WIPER MOTOR GEAR CASE. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM DID NOT SHOW A RECALL ALTHOUGH HE HAD A LETTER FROM A DEALER STATING SAID RECALL WAS IN EFFECT. TWO DEALERS DECLINED TO INSPECT AND REPLACE THE WIPER MOTOR GEAR CASE COVER, THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT ASSIST HIM. NLM
KEY WILL GET STUCK IN IGNITION WHICH IS NOT BEING ABLE TO RELEASE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS STEERING WHEEL BECOMES LOCKED. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
SHIFT LEVER WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK AFTER VEHICLE HAS BEEN STARTED. OWNER WOULD NEED TO TURN VEHICLE OFF AND SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL TO START. APPARENTLY, THIS ALSO AFFECTS OPERATION OF REAR TAILLIGHTS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP DUE TO CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
THE OUTSIDE MIRROR ON DRIVERS DOOR HAS STARTED FALLING OFF. THE DOORS ON DRIVERS SIDE ARE VERY HARD TO SHUT. THE CAR IS BEGINNING TO SHAKE WHEN DRIVE. I FEEL LIKE THIS CAR HAS BEEN WRECKED BEFORE. DT
THE SERVICE ATTTENDANT INFLATED THE TIRES IN EXCESS OF THE MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED PRESSURE OF 45 PSI. THE SERVICE ATTENDANT STATED HE INFLATED THE TIRES AT THE PRESSURE ACCORDING TO THE LABEL PRINTED ON THE TIRES. CONSUMER REQUESTS A REFUND OF MONIES PAID. *JG
CONSUMER STATED THE BRAKE LAMP SWITCH HAS FAILED 3 TIMES, THIS MALFUNCTION CAUSES THE BRAKE LAMP TO REMAIN ON PERMANENTLY, CONSUMER STATED THERE IS A RECALL, HOWEVER IT DOES PERTAIN TO THIS MAKE AND MODEL.*JB
CONSUMER STATES BRAKE SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO STAY ON AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF. THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS APPLIED. ALSO WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER OUT OF PARK POSITION DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION OF THE BRAKE SWITCH. BRAKE SWITCH, STOP LAMP AND WIRING ASSEMBLY ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE. HOWEVER, PROBLEM STILL EXIST. *TT *NLM

WATER LEAKED INSIDE THE VEHICLE, THE WINDOW WAS REPLACED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. *JB
THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON CONSTANTLY. THE CONSUMER FELT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY. *NLM

CONSUMER STATES THAT PASSENGER SEATBELT ASSEMBLY IS BROKEN CAUSING THE SEATBELT TO NOT PULL OUT FROM BUCKEL. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY STOPPED RUNNING. *JB

CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SEAT BELTS. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THEY WILL FIX IT, BUT THEY ARE TOO LOOSE.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT NORMAL SPEED TORSION BAR BROKE, CAUSING FRONT PASSENGER TIRE TO BLOWOUT. *AK
VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF GEAR. DEALER PROVIDED THE CONSUMER WITH A NEW WIRING HARNESS. BRAKE LIGHTS DON'T WORK, AND VEHICLE STILL WON'T SHIFT OUT OF GEAR.*AK
THE VEHICLE STALLED AS IF IT DID NOT HAVE GAS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED AT THE TIME OF THIS CALL. *AK THERE WAS A FUEL RECALL AND A FUEL MODULE WAS INSTALLED. THERE WERE MANY ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE AND IF IT DID START, IT RAN ROUGH. THE VEHICLE DIED ON MANY OCCASIONS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM AN INTERSECTION, THE VEHICLE ACTED AS IF IT NEEDED GAS. THE GAS GAUGE FAILED N TWO OCCASIONS. *SCC *JB
WHILE DRIVING THE DRIVER NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR OF VEHICLE. THE DRIVER STOPPED AND SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE AND FLUID DRIPPING UNDER THE VEHICLE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE TRANSMISSION CASE CRACKED AND REPLACED IT. *AK
CONSUMER WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH FRONT ROTORS RUSTING. DELAER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND DID NOT EXPLAIN WHY THIS WAS HAPPENING. *AK
DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND DEFLATED PREMATURELY WHEN VEHICLE WENT OVER A SPEED PUMP. CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED.*AK
WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED, ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT THE REAR AND MADE THE VEHICLE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS IN FRONT. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SEAT BELT DID NOT HOLD THE DRIVER WHICH CAUSED THE DRIVER TO SUSTAIN FACIAL DAMAGE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NLM
THE REMEDY FOR THE FOOT PEDAL GREASE/STOP LAMP RECALL 01 V 078 000 FAILED, AND THE DEFECT OCCURRED. *AK THE VEHICLE DID NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK, THE BRAKE LIGHT HAD BECOME INOPERATIVE AND THE SHIFT INTER-LOCK WAS DISABLED. *SCC *JB
UPON STARTING VEHICLE INTAKE MANIFOLD EXPLODED. THIS WAS CAUSED BY THE POWER CONTROL MODULE NOT BEING CALIBRATED ENOUGH AT TIME OF MANUFACTURING.*AK
WHILE DRIVING THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WENT OUT OF GEAR IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD ONLY GO INTO REVERSE. THIS FAILURE WAS CAUSED DUE TO INADEQUATE LUBRICATION OF THE TRANSMISSION WHEN MANUFACTURED. *AK *TS *NLM
PROBLEMS WITH BLIND SPOTS WHILE DRIVING 2000 FORD TAURUS. *MR THE CONSUMER HAD TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN GOING THROUGH ANY INTERSECTION DUE TO THE BLIND SPOT THAT BLOCKS THE VISION FOR A FEW SECONDS. (STRUCTURE ISSUE PER CONSUMER) *SCC *JB
AFTER STARTING VEHICLE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT GEAR OUT OF PARK, ALTHOUGH DRIVER'S FOOT WAS ON BRAKE PEDAL.*AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, AND THEY REPLACED A RELAY SWITCH. TWO DAYS LATER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN.*AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WIRING PROBLEM. WIRING BROKE, CAUSING THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO OPERATE POORLY. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A BRAKE LIGHT PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM WAS ORIGINALLY REPAIRED IN APRIL, 2003. HOWEVER, THE REPLACEMENT SWITCH WAS DEFECTIVE , AND BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT GO OFF.*AK
RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE FOR THE BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL BEING TO CLOSE TOGETHER BUT PROBLEM CONTINUED. *PH AFTER HAVING A SERVICE RECALL DONE NO ADJUSTMENT WERE MADE. THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN AND THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT THE GAS PEDAL BE POSITIONED FURTHER FORWARD. AND THE CONSUMER IS UNSATISFIED THAT THE DEALER IS TRYING TO MAKE A DESIGN PROBLEM INTO A CUSTOMER SERVICE MAINTENANCE ISSUE. *CB
DEFECTIVE COIL SPRING. *PH WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH THE FRONT COIL SPRING FAILED AND BROKE CAUSING THE VEHICLE'S TIRE TO RUB AND PRODUCT SMOKE. BOTH STRUTS, CV AXLE, AND TIRE HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL AS AN ALIGNMENT PERFORMED. THE SERVICE MANAGER AGREED THAT THIS WAS NOT A NORMAL REPAIR FOR A VEHICLE LESS THAN 4 YEARS OLD WITH 56,000 MILES. *TT *JB
TRANSMISSION AND TORQUE CONVERTER HAD TO BE REPLACED AT 53K MILES. *PH *SC *JB

WHEN DRIVING, THE ENGINE LOST POWER AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED SOMEONE MISTAKENLY PUT OIL INTO THE POWER STEERING FLUID. THE OWNER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FOR THE FUEL PUMP THAT DESCRIBE THE SAME SYMPTOMS. THE DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. PLEASE DESCRIBE FURTHER. *JB *MR

WHEN PULLING OUT OF THE DRIVING RIGHT FRONT WHEEL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP, WHERE THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE REPLACED DUE TO RUST AND WEAR. CONSUMER STILL HAS THE DEFECTIVE LOWER BALL JOINTS. *AK *NM
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE STOP LAMP SWITCH. *PH *JB
WHILE IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONSUMER FOUND THE FRONT COIL SPRING ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE HAD BROKEN AND PUNCTURED THE TIRE. THE PLASTIC LINKAGE CONNECTING THE ANTI-SWAY BAR WAS ALSO BROKEN. *JB
