TRANSMISSION REPLACED.
DEFECTIVE ENGINE HEAD GASKET WHICH HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING. MAY HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE HEAD GASKET, BUT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, AND NOW IT IS CONSUMER'S RESPONSIBILITY. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK SYSTEM FAILED, ALLOWING FOUR YEAR OLD TO ACCIDENTALLY KNOCK GEAR SHIFT OUT OF PARK GEAR, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
AFTER HITTING AN OBJECT ON THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE FUEL TANK CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.*AK
ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY CAUSING EXCESSIVE WEAR OF PADS AND ROTORS.
TRANSMISSION WAS REPAIRED 3 TIMES, FAULTY PROCESSOR REPLACED ON TWO OF THOSE OCCASIONS. *SLC
FRAME WELDING FROM THE FACTORY IS UNSATISFACTORY. AFTER REPAIR PER SERVICE PROGRAM NUMBER 96B98 CRACKS AND HOLES COULD STILL BE FOUND IN OTHER PARTS OF THE FRAME WELDING.
ONGOING PROBLEM WITH ENGINE HEAD GASKET BLOWING OUT ON THREE OCCASIONS. DEALER NOTIFED, AND REPAIRS WERE MADE AT A DEDUCTIBLE COST TO CONSUMER. *AK
TRANSMISSION- SHIFTING ROUGH SINCE 30,000 MI. 2 DEALERS TESTED OVER THE YEARS & SAID NO PROBLEM (JUST ADJUSTED SHIFT POINTS. SAME COMPLAINT IN JULY, 2003. DEALER CHECKED, SAID NO PROBLEM. 1 MONTH LATER HAD INDEPENDENT SHOP REBUILD TRANSMISSION. ENGINE- HEAD GASKETS REPLACED AT 15,000 MI & 35,00 MI. SAME SYMPTOMS NOW AT 103,000. JUST PAST EXTENDED WARRANTY

DEALER DELIVERED VEHICLE WITH UNSAFE BRAKE CONDITIONS, INNER FRONT RIGHT PAD WAS COMPLETELY WORN OUT WITHIN 45 DAYS OF DRIVING.

VEHICLE WAS IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION AND THE AIR BAG DID'T DEPLOY. ALSO THE BRAKES WERE MAKING A LOUD NOISE. DUP OF 808490, ADDED ON 25-FEB-98. *AK

ALSO, WIRING TO WINDOWS GOES UP OR DOWN WITHOUT BEING SWITCHED EITHER WAY AND DOME LIGHT COMES ON BY ITSELF. IN ADDITION, TRANSMISSIO: WORN OUT DUE TO LEAKAGE (OIL) FROM THEENGINE HEAD GASKETS. NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
POOR ABS PERFORMANCE, THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR AND EXTENDED STOPPING/SLOW REACTION IS EXPERIENCED. *AK
STEERING KNOCKS/SNAGS UPON TURNING WHEEL.
POWER WINDOW BUTTONS CONTINUE OPERATING AFTER VAN IS SHUT OFF, BUT WOULD NOT OPERATE WITH DOG'S HEAD STUCK IN THE WINDOW.
PROBLEMS BEGAN WITH ENGINE CHECK LIGHT AT 32,000. MANUF. SAID "DON'T WORRY." HEAD GASKETS/BLOCK AT 51,000. NEW ENGINE ONE YEAR LATER. SECOND ENGINE THREE MONTHS AFTER THAT. WITHIN EIGHT MONTHS, DEALER WANTS TO INSTALL WHAT AMOUNTS TO FOURTH ENGINE. TRANSMISSION APPEARS TO BE GOING, TOO, MECHANIC THINKS DUE TO MULTIPLE OVERHEATING/S OF ENGINE.
EQUIPPED W/ABS BRAKES; APPLIED BRAKES AND PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR. AREA DEALERS REPLACED A LOOSE BRAKE LINE. *SLC
ABS BRAKE FAILURE. WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THERE IS A METAL TO METAL GRINDING SOUND. THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED AND THE CALIPERS WERE REBUILT TWICE, IN 8/96 & 4/97. THE BRAKES PADS ARE COMPLETELY WORN OUT AGAIN AT 43,000 MILES. *AK

THIS IS A CONVERSION VAN, HANDICAPPED PERSON FINDS IT DIFFICULT TO USE WHEEL CHAIR IN EMEREGENCY PARKING. CONSUMER WILL EXPLAIN. PLEASE DESCRIBE.*AK
VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, IMPACT 12:00 POSITION, SPEED 57MPH, DUAL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED; DUE TO THE FORCE OF THE AIRBAGS, DRIVER SUSTAINED EYE INJURY. *AK
CONSUMER HAS HAD THE SUBFRAME BUSHINGS REPLACED ON 2 OCCASIONS WITHIN A FIVE YEAR PERIOD UNDER 70,000 MILES, ON ONE OCCASION AT 65488 MILES THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS (KNOCKING UNDER THE FLOORBOARDS) AS BEFORE WHEN THE BUSHINGS NEEDED REPLACED, HOWEVER THIS TIME THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS LOOSE SUBFRAME BOLTS WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM, SO A MONTH LATER THE DEALER STATED THE SUBFRAME BUSHINGS HAD FAILED AGAIN, CONSUMER IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT. *SLC
BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR CONTINUALLY NEEDS TO BE REFILLED. FRONT PADS REPLACED TWICE AND RIGHT FRONT ROTOR REPLACED ONCE.
ABS BRAKES FAILED.
MIRRORS PERFORM POORLY DUE TO DESIGN FLAW.
BRAKE PADS FAILED.
WHEN DRIVING LONG DISTANCE THE ACCELERATION TAKES A LITTLE TIME . PLEASE DESCRIBE .*AK
ON FOUR OCCASSIONS THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED, HAVE ABS ANTI-LOCK BRAKE . PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
ABS: BRAKE PEDAL FADED/ WENT TO FLOOR WHILE MAKING TWO REAL EMERGENCY STOPS, NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT, NO WARNING, DRY PAVEMENT. *AK
SWAY BAR RUSTED THROUGH IN 2 SPOTS, CAUSING IT TO BREAK/ACCIDENT.

DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW MALFUNCTTIONED, WOULD NOT GO UP IF WINDOW WAS ALL THE WAY UP AND OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS OVER 80 DEGREES/ WHEN IT COOLED OFF, POWER WINDOW OPERATED NORMALLY. *AK
FORD ORDERED BY CALIFORNIA DISPUTE SETTLEMENT BOARD TO REPLACE FRONT BRAKING SYSTEM. CALIPER FAILURE RESULTS IN PREMATURE WEARING OF RIGHT FRONT BRAKE PADS. THIS WAS DONE IN APRIL OF 1997. LESS THAN ONE YEAR LATER, FRONT BRAKES SHOW 35% WEAR ON LEFT AN 100%. FRONT SUSPENSION HAS ALSO MADE POPPING SOUNDS FOR A LONG TIME, WITH NO REASON OFFERED BY FORD.
WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, APPLIED ABS BRAKES TO STOP, NO RESPONSE, PEDAL FADE TO THE FLOOR, RESULTING IN A REAR END COLLISION. *AK
STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER DUE TO DEFECTIVE STEERING GEAR BOX. VEHICLE WAS CONSTANT AT SLOW SPEEDS, BUT PULLED TO LEFT A THIGHER SPEEDS. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED.
SEAT BELT TWISTS WHEN RETRACTED OR RELEASED DUE TO INADEQUATE GUIDES ON DOOR PILLAR. *SD
APPLIED PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL DURING NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, RECEIVED LITTLE OR NO RESPONSE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE ABS. *AK
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES DO NOT WORK PROPERLY DURING WINTER STORMS.
