FIRST, THE POWER STEERING WASN'T WORKING AND PARTS OF IT HAD TO BE REPAIRED AND REPLACED. BUT THE WORRYING THING IS THAT THE ABS YELLOW LIGHT AND THE RED BRAKE ICON ON THE DASHBOARD OFTEN COME ON AND REMAIN ON WHILE WE'RE DRIVING. THAT IS WORRYING, AS WE DON'T KNOW IF IT MEANS THE BRAKES ARE FAULTY OR NOT. A FIRESTONE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF RUST BUILD-UP, BUT I DON'T LIKE THAT THE YELLOW ABS AND THE RED BRAKE ICONS COME ON, BECAUSE WHO KNOWS IF THAT MEANS THE BRAKES WON'T WORK OR NOT. FROM MY ONLINE RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORD WINDSTARS, AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED! *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2002 FORD WINDSTAR ON JULY 6, 2012, MY ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON SIMULTANEOUSLY AND STAYED ON FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES UNTIL I ARRIVED HOME. THE NEXT DAY, JULY 7, 2012, WHEN I STARTED MY CAR IN THE MORNING TO RUN ERRANDS THE LIGHTS WERE NOT ON. LATER ON THAT DAY, I STARTED MY CAR AND BEGAN DRIVING AND AFTER ABOUT FIVE MINUTES OF DRIVING ONCE AGAIN THE ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON UNTIL I SHUT THE CAR OFF. THIS HAS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN AS OF THE DATE I AM TYPING UP THIS COMPLAINT TO YOU. IT GOES ON AND OFF WHENEVER IT FEELS LIKE IT AND IS VERY RANDOM, JUST LIKE SO MANY OTHER PROBLEMS WITH OUR 2002 FORD WINDSTAR. OUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN OUR FORD WINDSTAR ALSO WORKS WHENEVER IT FEELS LIKE IT AS FAR AS LOCKING THE DOORS, OPENING THE DOORS, ETC. IT IS DIFFICULT TO ASCERTAIN WHAT IS CAUSING THE ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT TO KEEP COMING ON SO RANDOMLY AS THERE ARE DAYS IT DOES NOT COME ON AT ALL AND I FEEL THIS IS SOMETHING THE FORD COMPANY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOOKING INTO. I WOULD RESPECTFULLY LIKE MY NAME ADDED TO OTHERS WHO HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM AND ARE DEMANDING A RECALL. AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THIS COULD BECOME A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM AND EVEN INVOLVE A FIRE. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE BRAKES OR THE LIGHTING ON THE DASHBOARD, BUT THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD LIGHT UP. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED, AND THE MECHANICS KEEP SAYING THE BRAKES ARE FINE, BUT THE LIGHTS OFTEN STAY ON, ESPECIALLY IN WARMER WEATHER (AND HARDLY AT ALL IN COLDER WEATHER). THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE WE GOT THE CAR, FROM JULY 2012 TO THE PRESENT. *TR
BRAKE LIGHT AND ABS CONSTANTLY COME ON IN HOT WEATHER. BRAKES CHECKED BY SERVICE DEPT AND NO PROBLEMS FOUND. HAS BEEN OCCURRING LAST FOUR SUMMERS. *JS
ABS LIGHT COMES ONE WHEN THE AIR TEMP IS 90 DEGREE PLUS AND STAY ON UNTIL THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF. IT WILL SAY OFF FOR MAYBE A FEW MINUTES TO A COUPLE HOURS. IN THE PAST 24 HOURS, THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON TWICE IN THREE TRIPS. LAST YEAR, WHEN IT WAS HOT, IT DID ABOUT THE SAME. AS I UNDERSTAND IT, WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON, MY BRAKE'S ANTI-LOCK IS NONOPERATIONAL WHILE THE LIGHT IS ON AND SCARES ME UNTIL I CAN SAFELY PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES BEGAN TO FAIL WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE. THE VEHICLE HAD A SUDDEN INCREASE OF SPEED BEFORE DECELERATING AND STOPPING. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V399000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL) ON NOVEMBER 27, 2009 AND PROVIDED NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
THE ABS LIGHT AND EMERGENCY BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS HAVE BEEN STAYING ON. WHILE THE LIGHTS ARE ON, I TESTED THE ABS BY ATTEMPTING AN EMERGENCY STOP ON WET ROADS. THE ABS DID NOT FUNCTION AND THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING CONTROL. I'VE SINCE HOOKED THE VEHICLE TO A DIAGNOSTIC CODE READER AND RECEIVED MULTIPLE ABS CODES. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE FOR OTHERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS, I AM AWARE THAT MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS COMPUTER. *TR
MY GIRLFRIEND WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND WITH NO WARNING THE REAR AXLE JUST SNAPPED IN HALF. FORD SAYS IT WAS FIXED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND THAT THE RECALL HAD EXPIRED AND NOW I WILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. WELL IF IT WAS REINFORCED AND STILL SNAPPED I BELIEVE THE WORK WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY AND FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED (65MPH) IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHEN THE ABS (YELLOW) AND BRAKE (RED) LIGHTS SUDDENLY CAME ON. I CONTINUED DRIVING SINCE THERE WAS NO PLACE TO STOP. WHEN I HAD TO SUDDENLY STOP, STOPPING DISTANCE WAS REDUCED BY LOCK UP OF THE BRAKES. A FEW MINUTES LATER, I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE, TURN OFF THE IGNITION, RESTART THE VEHICLE AND BOTH LIGHTS TURNED OFF. THE LIGHTS CAME ON LATER IN THE TRIP. THIS ON AND OFF ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT SCENARIO WAS REPEATED FOUR TIMES THAT DAY, LUCKILY NO MORE SUDDEN HARD BRAKING STOPS WERE NECESSARY. IT WAS VERY HOT THAT DAY WITH TEMPERATURES NEAR 90 DEGREES. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY THREE DAYS LATER AND DESCRIBED THE SITUATION ABOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN BY THE SHOP THROUGHOUT ONE DAY. THE SHOP COULD NOT GET THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS TO COME ON DURING DRIVING AS I HAD DESCRIBED. BRAKING ACTION WAS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLE. ON MY SERVICE INVOICE, THE SHOP REPORTED A STORED COMPUTER CODE C1185 - ABS POWER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION, BUT NO PROBLEM FOUND. THE SHOP ASKED THAT I MONITOR THE SITUATION AND BRING THE VEHICLE BACK IN WHEN THE ABS LIGHT CONSISTENTLY IS "ON" SO THAT THE PROBLEM CAN BE DIAGNOSED CORRECTLY. RELUCTANTLY I AM GOING TO FOLLOW THE SHOP'S ADVICE. *TR
MY 2002 FORD WINDSTAR HAS HAD MANY PARTS TESTED. THEY ALL SEEM TO TEST GOOD. BATTERY , ALTERNATOR TO NAME A FEW. WHEN DRIVING THE VAN HAZARDS COME ON ( WITHOUT TURNING THEM ON ) THE RADIO SHUTS OFF, THE HEAT TURNS OFF AND POWER IS LOST AS IF IT'S THE ALTERNATOR. ABS LIGHTS COME ON AND THEN THE DASH PANEL LIGHTS UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE.. OH THEN THE VEHICLE DIES AND WON'T START , CLICKS LIKE IT'S THE ALTERNATOR OR BATTERY BUT THEY TEST FINE.. AFTER SEARCHING MANY BLOGS THIS SEEMS TO BE A BIG ISSUE WITH MANY MECHANICS THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS.. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IT'S A PAIN AND THANK GOD FOR AAA BUT REALLY SHOULD I HAVE TO USE MY AAA ALL THE TIME/ THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE SPENT 6 MONTHS IN THE FORD GARAGE IN 2010. NOW WHAT WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING YOU THINK IT WILL BE GOOD FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND THAT YOU CAN USE IT AS A PRIMARY CAR. WE HAVE LOST DAYS FROM WORK, MONEY AND MONEY FOR TRYING DIFFERENT PARTS NOW WHAT??? *TR

DURING FUELING THE VEHICLE THE FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE FILLER NECK AND SPRAYS ALL OVER THE CAR AND GROUND. THE TROUBLE SEEMS TO BE IN A TANK VENT HOSE PROBLEM. THIS SEEMS LIKE IT CREATES A FIRE AND HEALTH/SAFETY PROBLEM. *TR
THE ABS YELLOW WARNING LIGHT AND RED BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AT RANDOM DRIVING TIMES. ONCE LIGHTS APPEAR, THE ABS SYSTEM NO LONGER WORKS. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKE MODULE TWO TIMES AND PROBLEM RETURNS WITHIN DAYS OF REPLACEMENT. *TR
THE ABS LIGHT WILL COME "ON" AND BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON A FEW SECONDS TO A MINUTE LATER WHILE DRIVING, BRAKES SEEM TO WORK FINE. *TR
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JANUARY 2012 AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH IT. ACCORDING TO FORD ALL RECALLS HAVE BEEN DONE ON THIS VEHICLE BUT HERE IS A LIST OF THE ISSUES WITH THE VAN: ABS LIGHT COMES ON, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, VAN HAS NO CRUISE CONTROL AT ALL, AND LAST FRIDAY I COULD NOT PUT THE VAN IN GEAR. AFTER THE FORD DEALERSHIP "REPAIRED" THE SOLENOID FOR THE VAN NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE IS CURRENTLY NO REAR BRAKE LIGHTS. THIS VAN IS LESS THAN SAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD AND HAVE SEEN THAT SOME OF THE RECALLS WOULD HAVE SOLVED THE SPEED CONTROL ISSUE BUT THE FORD FACTORY WILL NOT ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS. TAKE A LOOK ONLINE AND YOU WILL SEE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUES WE ARE HAVING AND IT WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF FORD THAT WE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE SO THIS IS BEYOND A PROBLEMATIC VEHICLE.THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY SITTING AT THE LOCAL FORD DEALER WHILE THEY TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE LIGHT SYSTEM. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP TWICE SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT AND THIS IS COSTING US HUNDREDS (SO FAR) TO FIX ISSUES THAT EVERYONE WITH THIS VEHICLE IS HAVING. THE LATEST ISSUES HAVE LED TO US BEING WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A WEEK AND WE HAVE A DISABLED CHILD IN THE HOME AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. *TR
THE BRAKE LIGHT KEEPS TURNING ON AND OFF(ABS CONTROL MODULE PROBLEM?). THE POWER WINDOW ON PASSENGER'S SIDE HAD STOPPED WORKING A FEW YEARS AGO. *TR
RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELL BODY PANEL ROTTED A HOLE THAT EXTENDS INTO THE SLIDING DOOR ROLLER AREA AND INTERIOR TO THE SEALS OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE THIS HAS NOT CAUSED AN ACCIDENT, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THE SLIDING DOOR AND PROTRUSION INTO THE PASSENGER CABIN. *TR
TRANSMISSION STARTED MAKING CRUNCHING NOISES AND STILL DOES, CANT DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT IS GETTING WORSE. *TR

MY ABS LIGHT IS ON AND MY BRAKE LIGHT WILL ALSO BE ON AT TIMES. HAVE HAD BRAKE WORK DONE AND CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES. THEY FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH BRAKES. TOLD I COULD GET NEW ABS COMPUTER SYSTEM PUT IN BUT NOTHING WRONG WITH BRAKES AND THAT WOULD JUST BE $$$$$$ AND I HAVE ALREADY SPENT SEVERAL HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON IT. EVEN HAD NEW BRAKE PADS PUT ON AGAIN IN 2014 WITH A NEW CALIPER, STILL LIGHT APPEARS. IT GOES OFF AND THEN IT SEEMS WHEN DRIVEN FOR A WHILE LIGHTS COME BACK ON. AT TIMES I DO SMELL SOMETHING LIKE IT IS HOT BUT DID NOT FIND ANYTHING. I AM ALSO HAVING MY ENGINE LIGHT STAYING ON. CODE IS SHOWING LEAN FUEL. MECHANICS HAVE DONE ALL KINDS OF TEST INCLUDING I THINK A SMOKE TEST AND SHOWING NO LEAKS. I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY TRYING TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND HAVING NO SUCCESS. I AM USING CERTIFIED MECHANICS AND MY HUSBAND HAS ALSO BEEN IN THE FRONT END BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND KNOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST. SO I HAVE MY ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT AND MY ENGINE LIGHT ON???? BOUGHT USED VAN 2009 I NOW HAVE 144,000 AND I KEEP MY VAN SERVICED. *TR
I HAVE PURCHASED A 2002 WINDSTAR IN APRIL 2012, WE NOTICED THE ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT WOULD APPEAR AND WE'D BE LOW ON BRAKE FLUID. WE REPLACED THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER BUT THEY SAID THE SENSOR ON BOTTOM WAS UNAVAILABLE TO ORDER, WE CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD US THE SAME THING. THE SENSOR IS FULL OF BRAKE FLUID. WE HAVE TO FILL OUR BRAKE FLUID ABOUT ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS IN WARM WEATHER MORE OFTEN. WHEN I TOOK IT INTO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL ON AXLE I ASKED ABOUT THIS THEY SAID THERES NO RECALLS FOR IT. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE NOR WOULD I WANT TO SELL THIS VEHICLE TO ANOTHER PERSON AS IT WAS SOLD TO ME WITHOUT BEING TOLD OF PROBLEM. IS THERE GOING TO BE A RECALL ON THIS? *TR
WHILE ON VACATION, WE WERE DRIVING SLOWLY, LOOKING AT A LAKE ON A GRAVEL ROAD, AS WE STARTED UP A SMALL HILL, THE VAN REVVED UP, AND BEGAN SLOWING DOWN. IT ROLLED TO A STOP AND DID NOT MOVE AGAIN. WE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE NEAREST TOWN, WE WERE INFORMED WE NEEDED A NEW TRANNY. HAD TO RENT A CAR. FOUND OUT THE REPAIR SHOP DID NOT HAVE ALL THE EQUIPMENT TO FLUSH THE TRANSMISSION COOLING SYSTEM, AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED AGAIN TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. THE TRANNY SHOP SAID WE COULD GET BY WITH A TORQUE CONVERTER, AND REPAIRED IT. *TR
THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SPRING BROKE IN TWO PIECES. DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE THE STABILIZER BAR ENDED UP GETTING BENT. ALSO, BECAUSE OF THE SHARP EDGE WHERE THE SPRING BROKE IT CUT THE FRONT BRAKE LINE. I'M GRATEFUL THAT IT OCCURRED OVERNIGHT TO WHERE MY FAMILY AND I WEREN'T DRIVING IT. *TR
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I AM SERIOUSLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS VEHICLE AND THE WAY I AM TREATED BY FORD MOTORS. THE CAR SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND ALMOST FLIPPED. THANK GOD THAT INJURIES WERE NOT THAT SERIOUS BUT THE CAR IS NOW TOTAL LOSS. AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO PRIVATE MECHANICS, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT SUBFRAME BROKE AND THE AXLES, CONTROL ARMS ALL BROKE. IT WAS THEN DISCOVERED THAT THIS WAS PART OF A RECALL. CAR WAS TOWED TO FORD MOTORS DEALERSHIP. A REQUEST HAS BEEN MADE TO PROVIDE ME WITH SAFETY REPORT ON THE VEHICLE. FORD AND ITS DEALERSHIP FORCED ME OUT OF THEIR DEALERSHIP AND KICKED ME OUT. THE CAR IS THEIR FOR MONTHS AND I HAVE BEEN SENDING FORD ONLINE MESSAGES VIA EMAIL AND PHONE BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO BUY THE CAR OR GIVE ME ITS VALUE NOR FIX THE CAR. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CAR FOR MORE THAN 4 MONTHS NOW AND FORD IS NOT DOING THE LEAST TO EVEN TRADE THE CAR FOR ANOTHER ONE. I AM SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED. *TR

WE BOUGHT OUR VAN IN MARCH 2012. BY APRIL 2012 WE BEGAN NOTICING PROBLEMS WITH SHIFTING. IT SHIFTS HARD. THE WINDOWS STOPPED WORKING IN MAY 2012. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH FOR THE ABS AND BRAKES ARE ALWAYS ON. THE BRAKES ARE NOT VERY GOOD AND THE PEDAL MUST BE PUSHED HARD TO GET THE VAN TO STOP. OUR BIGGEST ISSUE IS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE MECHANIC AT AAMCO WOULD NOT EVEN CHANGE THE FLUID BECAUSE IF HE CHANGED THE FLUID THEN THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SHIFT. I DON'T KNOW THE DETAILS BUT I DO KNOW THAT MY VAN IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING BRAKE FLUID. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THEY ABNORMALLY TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. ADDITIONALLY, THE BRAKES WOULD GRIND WHEN APPLIED. THE BRAKE AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS WERE ALSO ILLUMINATED WHEN VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 155,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
THE VAN WAS PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, I WAS IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. A NOISY METAL BRAKING SOUND & MOVEMENT OF THE VAN, MADE ME THINK I WAS HIT BY ANOTHER CAR, BUT NO ONE WAS AROUND. THE FRONT LEFT COIL SPRING BROKE, IN MORE THAN 1 PLACE. I HAD 15 MINUTES BEFORE BEEN ON A BUSY HIGHWAY IN A LOT OF TRAFFIC, I AM JUST GLAD NOTHING HAPPENED THEN. ON THE 1998 FORD WINDSTAR, I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE 2002 FORD WINDSTAR HAS HAD 2 OTHER RECALLS, IN REGARDS TO CORROSION PROBLEMS, ON BACK AXLE & FRONT FRAME. *TR
BRAKE AND ABS DASH LIGHT ILLUMINATE. ONCE THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF THEN RESTARTED THE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ONE FOR A LITTLE WHILE, BUT THEY DO COME BACK ON. THE CODES THAT COME UP ARE DIRECTED TO FAULTY ABS MODULE. WE WERE TOLD THERE IS A POSSIBLE FIRE RISK INVOLVED DUE TO MANUFACTURER'S DEFECTS. EVERY SINCE I PURCHASED MY '02 WINDSTAR, I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS AND BRAKES. I'VE HAD THE BRAKES FIXED NUMEROUS TIMES AND BOTH LIGHTS STILL COMES ON WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAD A BRAKE FLUID LEAK FROM THE REAR. MY DVD AND STEREO BOTH SHORT- CIRCUITED ON A MONTH OR TWO AFTER THEY WERE INSTALLED. SOMETIMES IF I COME TO A LIGHT TO STOP FOR A WHILE, WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, I'LL TRY TO GIVE IT SOME GAS BUT IT BECOMES REAL HESITANT AND TAKES A WHILE TO PICK UP SPEED. THE DRIVERS BEHIND ME WOULD START TO GET FRUSTRATED WITH ME HOLDING UP TRAFFIC. ALSO, WHEN I CUT THE AC ON IT TAKES POWER AWAY FROM MY VEHICLE AND IT THREATENS TO CUT OFF, SO I DON'T TURN IT ON. I ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE TWO OXYGEN SENSORS ON IT. I BELIEVE THAT MY ABS MODULE IS BAD AS WELL. I FEEL THAT I AM PUTTING MORE MONEY INTO IT THAN IT'S WORTH. PLEASE HELP ME. *TR

I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS LIGHT AND EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT BEING ON INTERMITTENTLY. SOMETIMES THEY ARE BOTH ON WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON. AT TIMES THEY STAY ON AND THERE ARE TIMES WHEN IT GOES OFF. THERE ARE ALSO INSTANCES WHERE ONLY THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AND STAYS ON EVEN THOUGH THE EMERGENCY BRAKES ARE DISENGAGED. MY HUSBAND RECENTLY CHANGED SOME SENSORS AND SAID HE NOTICES SOME BREAK FLUID LEAKAGE. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR AND FEAR FOR MY SAFETY AND THAT OF MY FAMILY. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE A CAR FIRE. TYPICALLY, WHEN STARTING THE CAR, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE LIGHT IS NOT ON, AND THE BRAKES WORK CORRECTLY. THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE ANTI-LOCK FEATURE OF THE BRAKES WILL NOT WORK SUDDENLY AS YOU'RE DRIVING. BAD SITUATION IN CLEVELAND, OHIO IN THE WINTER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
