ON TWO OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING MY CAR ON A SNOWY DAY, ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING, ALMOST CAUSING A MAJOR CRASH. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ROD THAT CONNECTS THE WIPERS TO THE MOTOR BROKE OFF CAUSING THE WIPERS TO STOP. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR FLATBED TO A GMC DEALER. THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE FAILURE. THE DEALER JUST KEEPS MAKING THE SAME CONNECTION. THIS FAILURE MAKES DRIVING MY CAR ON BAD WEATHER DAYS VERY DANGEROUS. MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR IN BAD WEATHER. *TR
SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN BRAND NEW CONDITION AROUND NOVEMBER 2007 THE VEHICLE HAS ENCOUNTER SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH WATER GETTING INSIDE THE CABIN DUE TO THE POOR WATER DRAIN SYSTEM INSTALLED ON VEHICLE. WATER DRAIN SYSTEM HAS BEEN REPAIR IN SECTIONS AND TAKEN TO GMC SHOP FOR ALL RECALLS. THE WATER DRAIN SYSTEM HAS FAILED AGAIN ON MAY 31, 2010 WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE CAR WASH. THE DEALER/GMC SHOP IS AWARE OF THE ON-GOING ISSUE. THE ENTIRE WATER DRAIN SYSTEM ON THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE REPLACED OR VEHICLE BOUGHT BACK FROM GMC, IF WATER GETS INTO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IT COULD BE A POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL FIRE, INJURIES, TRAFFIC COLLISIONS OR DEATH. *TR
SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS NEW 2007 GMC ACADIA. MOST PREVALENT IS THE FAILURE OF THE GAS GAUGE NOT READING THE GAS READING CORRECTLY. 1ST TIME NOTICED AND TAKEN FOR SERVICE WAS 3 MO. OLD. THE GAS GAUGE READS (E) WHEN I'VE JUST FILLED UP THE TANK. DEALER REPLACED 02 SENSORS. 1 MO LATER EXPERIENCE SAME ISSUE. GAS GAUGE READS (E) EVEN WHEN TANK IS FULL. TAKEN BACK TO DEALER AND THIS TIME REPLACE (2) O2 SENSORS AND THE "SENDING UNIT". 2 DAYS LATER, WITH THE GAS GAUGE READING AT HALF FULL, THE CAR LUNGES FORWARD INTO ANOTHER GEAR ON FREEWAY IN TRAFFIC, AND STALLS. CANNOT TURN CAR ON - ALL WARNING LIGHTS ON. TOWED TO DEALER. NOW STATES THAT I NEED A WHOLE NEW GAS TANK BECAUSE THE "BAFFLE" IS BROKEN? STILL AT THE DEALER AND IS UNRESOLVED. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE. PREVIOUS ISSUES: CAR LEAKS AT THE SUNROOF. NOT FIXED YET LUMBAR SUPPORT BROKEN - SOMEWHAT FIXED BUT STILL NOT LIKE THE NEW ONES ON THE LOT. LUMBAR HANDLE FELL OFF - REPLACED BACKUP SENSORS FELL OFF OF BUMPER - REPLACED SEAT TRACKS JERK - REPLACED BOTH DRIVER AND PASS. STILL NOT SMOOTH BUT DEALER SAYS THAT'S THE BEST THEY CAN DO. *TR
2007 GMC ACADIA: WHEN STEPPING ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE OR PASS THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY RESPOND (SEVERAL SECONDS DELAY) WHICH CAUSES YOU TO CONTINUE PUSHING DOWN THE GAS PEDDLE UNTIL IT ENGAGES WHICH USUALLY CAUSES A 10,000 RPM SURGE. MAKES IT VERY SCARY WHEN PASSING AND THE ACCELERATION COULD CAUSE ISSUES WHEN THE ROAD IS WET OR ICY. GMC STATES THAT THE ISSUE IS WELL DOCUMENTED AND "NORMAL" FOR THE VEHICLE. AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS AND DISCUSSION WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER WHO ALSO DRIVES THIS SAME MODEL AND STATES HOW SCARY IT IS WHEN TRYING TO PASS IN HIS ACADIA I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO FORCE GMC TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT FROM CUSTOMERS AND NOT GETTING ATTENTION FROM THE MANUFACTURER. BASICALLY GMC STATES " HERE IS THE FIX AND NOW YOU LIVE WITH IT!" THIS IS AN ACTUAL QUOTE. I HAVE ALSO SPENT TIME DISCUSSION WITH THE SO CALLED GMC CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. MY FIRST 2007 AWD ACADIA BROKE DOWN AFTER OWNING IT FOR 20 MINUTES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE. SPENT MORE TIME IN THE GARAGE. WHEN I GOT IT BACK A WEEK LATER IT STARTED TO SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT BUT IT ONLY DID IT WHEN I WAS STOPPED AND MADE RIGHT TURNS ON MAIN ROADS. THE CAR WOULD SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING BUT IT WOULD RESTART AGAIN. GOT A REPLACEMENT CAR HAD TO PAY 2,000 MORE FOR IT AND THE REPLACEMENT ACADIA IS DOING THE SAME THING. ITS A DEATH TRAP WE COULD GET KILLED PULLING ON A HIGHWAY AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND WHEN THEY HOOK IT UP TO DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE IT SAYS NOTHING SHOWS UP. IT HAS BEEN IN FOR THE SOFTWARE UPGRADES AND A WEEK LATER ITS SHUTTING OFF AGAIN AND HAS ALOT OF HESITATION. I HAVE HAD IT WITH GMC I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK THEY LOST MY TRUST I SHOULD OF STAYED WITH MY JEEP LIBERTY WHICH WAS A GREAT VEHICLE WITH NO PROBLEMS. *TR
SUNROOF LEAKS IN TO ELECTRIC SYSTEM, THANK GOD DRIVING ON SIDE STREET, BRAKES LOCKED UP AND WAS ABLE TO GET TO SIDE OF ROAD. DEALER WESTBORO GMC TRIED TO FIX LEAK X 4 BUT LEAK CONTINUES, BRAKE STABILITY PROBLEM,REMOTE START, MOLD, CAR PULLS TO RIGHT WHEN BRAKES APPLIED, JUST TO NAME A FEW OF THE ELECTRIC PROBLEMS CAUSED BY WATER RUNNING IN TO ELECTRIC SYSTEM. DEALER WASHED THERE HANDS OF IT. I NOW OWN A $40,000 LEMON . *TR
THE 2007 GMC ACADIA AND OTHER VEHICLES BUILT ON THE LAMBDA PLATFORM ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THESE VEHICLES INTERMITTENTLY LOOSE POWER STEERING DURING THE RAIN. GMC IS AWARE OF THIS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS CREATED A SERVICE BULLETIN, BUT THE ALLEGED REPAIR DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND CONTINUES TO ALLOW THESE DANGEROUS VEHICLES TO BE ON THE ROAD. GM HAS REFUSED TO RECALL THE EFFECTED VEHICLES. I HAVE REPEATEDLY REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO THE DEALER, GM EXECUTIVES, GM ENGINEERS AND THE GM ENGINEERS HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS DANGEROUS PRODUCT DEFECT, BUT REFUSED TO ACT. *TR
NOTICED A SUDDEN SHAKING IN THE CAR WHEN DRIVING MORE THAN 25MPH. FELT THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE, SO LEFT IT AT A LOCAL TIRE AND AUTO SHOP FOR INSPECTION THE NEXT MORNING. THE TECHNICIAN CALLED TO INFORM US THAT THERE SHOULD BE 6 BOLTS THAT ATTACH THE DRIVESHAFT TO THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. THE CAR ONLY HAD 3 OF THE 6 BOLTS LEFT AND OF THOSE 1 WAS BENT. THEY WERE ALSO ALL LOOSE. HE SUSPECTED THAT THEY WERE NOT TIGHTENED CORRECTLY AT THE FACTORY. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION AND REPAIR. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED IN 3/07 AND CURRENTLY HAS 12,000 MILES. *TR
INVOLVED IN FRONTAL COLLISION WITH CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE, BUT AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
WHEN EVER IT RAINS PRODUCING PUDDLES THE POWER STEERING STOPS MAKING IT HARD TO TURN. IT HAS DONE THIS SINCE HAVING CAR. I CHECKED WITH OTHER OWNERS THEY ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM. *KB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. WHENEVER THE CONTACT ATTEMPTS TO TURN THE VEHICLE IN EITHER DIRECTION, THE STEERING BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT. THE CONTACT NOTICED A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND WAS SERVICED FOR THE POWER STEERING RACK AND PINION. THE CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCES PRIOR TO THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 25,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,500.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SOMEONE WEIGHING APPROXIMATELY 105 TO 110 POUNDS SITS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES. THE ILLUMINATION INDICATES THAT THE AIR BAG IS DEACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY STATED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 14,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000. UPDATED 01-29-08. *KB
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR DOES NOT ALWAYS SENSE WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER AND INDICATOR LIGHT SHOWS AIRBAG IS OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO DIAGNOSTIC CODE AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE. THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD BANG NOTICED PARTS FLY PAST THE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT ALL SIX PROPELLER SHAFT BOLTS BECAME LOOSE AND THE DRIVE SHAFT FELL OFF. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 5,400.
THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE 8 WAY SEAT MOVES FORWARD AND BACK UNDER HARD BRAKING AND ACCELERATION. THE MOVEMENT IS MORE THAN AN HALF INCH. THE DEALER SAID THE MANUFACTURE KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE IN THIS CAR WITH SEAT THE MOVING AROUND. *JB
WHEN WE WERE LOOKING AT THE GMC ACADIA AND GOING OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE, WE MENTIONED TO THE SALES REP THAT THE ACCELERATION WAS VERY SLUGGISH. HE RESPONDED THAT IT TAKES MILEAGE TO WARM THE VEHICLE UP. WE HAVE 15,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND IT STILL IS SLUGGISH. WE HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. DRIVING IN THE RAIN AND/OR SNOW IS VERY HAZARDOUS, AND GOING UP HILLS, SINCE IT LACKS ACCELERATION, IT CAUSES THE TIRES TO SPIN OUT. WE HAVE GOTTEN STUCK GOING UP A HILL IN RAINY AND/OR SNOWY CONDITIONS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED ONCE AND FOR ALL. *TR
WHILE COMPLETING A RIGHT TURN FROM A COMPLETE STOP I RODE UP ON A CURB AND ALL CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE IS NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO CAR EXTERIOR,TIRES, RIMS AND UNDERCARRIAGE. DAMAGE ASSESSMENT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY TWO GMC DEALERSHIPS AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY. I HAVE ASKED GMC TO PROVIDE INFORMATION REFERENCING WHETHER OR NOT THE SENSORS AND COMPUTER PERFORMED PER DESIGN. THE ONLY ANSWER I HAVE RECEIVED IS THAT THE YAW SENSOR IS WHAT TRIGGERED THE DEPLOYMENT, THAT ALL BAGS WHERE DEPLOYED AND THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURER DEFECT BUT AN INSURANCE CLAIM. TO MY KNOWLEDGE NO ANALYSIS HAS BEEN DONE TO DETERMINE SPEED, ANGLE ETC... MY WIFE AND TWO CHILDREN WHERE IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. WE ARE SO CONFIDENT THAT THE VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONED THAT UNLESS WE ARE REASSURED THAT GM HAS RESOLVED THE ISSUE WE WILL NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE ANY LONGER. *JB
2007 GMC ACADIA WITH WATER DAMAGE. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE MOON ROOF, DVD PLAYER, AND RIGHT DRIVERS DOOR IS LEAKING WATER. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS WATER DAMAGE, MOLD AND RUST. *KB THE DEALER FOUND THE DRAIN HOSE OFF AT THE SUNROOF. THEY INSTALLED ZIP TIES TO THE END OF THE HOSES, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. *JB
ON JULY 5TH 2007 MY FAMILY AND I WERE TRAVELING IN OUR RECENTLY PURCHASED 2007 GMC ACADIA WHILE ON VACATION IN FENWICK, DE. AND AS WE WERE TRAVELING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION OUR VEHICLE EXPERIENCE A MASSIVE FAILURE. THE FRONT PORTION OF THE DRIVE SHAFT, THE PORTION THAT EXTENDS FROM THE TRANSAXLE TO THE REAR AXLE, DROP FROM THE VEHICLE, AT SPEED, AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOOSE POWER WHILE AT SPEED IN TRAFFIC. REALIZING THE LOSS OF POWER, WE PULLED THE VEHICLE SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. UPON LOOKING UNDER THE VEHICLE, I OBSERVED THE DRIVE SHAFT HANGING, IN THE FORWARD POSITION, TO THE ROADWAY. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED "ON-STAR" WHO I FOUND TO BE EXTREMELY NON-RESPONSIVE OR HELPFUL TO OUR SITUATION. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE TOW TRUCK FINALLY RESPONDED TO OUR CALL AND UPON OUR DIRECTION TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HERTRICK GMC FOR REPAIR. LATER THAT WEEK I WS INFORMED THAT THE "SAFETY RING" HAD FAILED AND THE REPLACEMENT PRT WAS ON INDEFINITE BACK ORDER. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY TRANSMISSION WORKED ON ALREADY ON MY 2007 GMC ACADIA THE SPEED CONTROL IN THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT I STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CAR. IT IS AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE WITH AN AUTOMATIC. IT WILL NOT HOLD ON A HILL AND SEARCHES FOR A GEAR OR CHANCES SEVERAL TIMES WHEN IT COMES TO ANY KIND OF INCLINE EVEN AT 70 MPH.I WAS GETTING 15 MILES TO THE GALLON BEFORE THE NEW SPEED CONTROL NOW I GET 13. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND HE SAYS TO WAIT AND SOON THERE SHOULD BE A UPDATE IN THE SOFTWARE TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM I AM WILLING TO WAIT BUT WANT IT ON RECORD THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAS PROBLEMS. THIS IS A NEW DESIGN AND IS VERY ROUGH RIDING. MY CAR HAS ONLY 5000 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE BEEN THERE 4 TIMES.
I LEASED A 2007 ACADIA ON 5-24-07 AND SHORTLY AFTER TAKING DELIVERY I FELT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THE WAY IT SHIFTED, I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T GET THE PROBLEM TO REPEAT AND FELT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. ON 6-14-07 I TOOK A TRIP TO FLORIDA FROM MICHIGAN AND GOT 11 MILES INTO GEORGIA AND THE TRANSMISSION DECIDED TO SHIFT INTO 1ST GEAR GOING 70 MPH. I MANAGED TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND WAS WONDERING WHAT WENT WRONG. I PUSHED THE ONSTAR BUTTON AND THEY GOT ME TO A DEALERSHIP (NEWTON GMC IN TENNESSEE), THEY DONE A QUICK COMPUTER CHECK FOR ERROR CODES AND FOUND MANY CODES THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE BUT THEY SAID IT WAS RELATED TO THE TRANSMISSION. I LEFT THE ACADIA WITH THEM AND FINISHED MY TRIP TO FLORIDA IN A FORD PICKUP. AFTER 2 WEEKS THE DEALERSHIP GOT THE OK FROM GM TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. I AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW TRANSMISSION SHIFTING CORRECTLY. AS OF 9-17-07 THERE IS A NEW SOFTWARE UPDATE THE DEALERSHIPS WILL HAVE TO CORRECT THE SHIFTING PROBLEMS FOR 2007 MODELS, THE 2008 MODELS ALREADY HAVE THE NEW SOFTWARE IN THEM WHEN THEY LEAVE THE ASSEMBLY PLANT. THIS PROBLEM MAY BE ON THE 2007 SATURN OUTLOOK BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME TRANSMISSION. *TR
2007 GMC ACADIA. CONSUMER EXPRESSES DISCONTENT IN REGARDS TO SEVERAL REPAIRS AND MALFUNCTIONS WITH THE VEHICLE *TGW THE HEATER CORE LEAKED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED DUE TO A FAULTY TUNING VALVE, THE AUXILIARY A/C EVAPORTOR WAS LEAKING AND HAD TO E REPLACED, THE WATER PUMP, ENGINE MOUNT, AND TORQUE CONVERTER ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED, AS WELL AS THE MASTER CYLINDER WHICH WAS LEAKING. ALSO, THE ABS LIGHT AND STABILTRAK LIGHTS ILLUMINATED.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE CONTACT FELT A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND HEARD A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AREA OF THE VEHICLE. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD LOCK UP AND MADE TURNING THE VEHICLE VERY DIFFICULT. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TWO DEALERS. THE FIRST DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY FAILURES. THE SECOND DEALER HEARD THE NOISE AND FELT THE VIBRATION, BUT COULD NOT REPAIR THE FAILURES. WEEKS AFTER THE INCIDENT, SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FROM WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED. THE FAILURE WAS DEEMED TO BE A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD. THE DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REPAIR THE FAILURE AND THEY CURRENTLY HAVE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE 2007 GMC ACADIA WITH 2,005 FAILURE MILEAGE AT 50 MPH,THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST POWER. THE CONTACT TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER WAS INSTALLING A NEW ENGINE. *AK UPDATE 05/10/07*TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A SAFETY ISSUE FOR A PERSON OVER 5'10 AND 250 LBS IF A CRASH OCCURRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SEAT RAILINGS WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY FOR A PERSON OF THE CONTACT'S STATURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SAFETY ISSUES BECAUSE THE CONTACT WAS NOTIFIED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 5,700 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,600. THE TIR PRESSURE MONITOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. UPDATED 08/15/07. *JB
2007 GMC ACADIA WITH SEVERAL SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES. SHE STATES THAT THE VEHICLE HAS HAD THESE PROBLEMS: A LARGE PUDDLE OF OIL UNDER THE VEHICLE, WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING, BATTERY DIED AND SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING. *KB THE DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER THE FRONT SHAFT SEAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE LEAK FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THEY ALSO STATED THERE WAS A DRAIN ON THE SYSTEM THAT CAUSED THE BATTERY TO FAIL. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY UPGRADED THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH HAD TO BE DONE TWICE. THE POWER STEERING MADE A LOUD NOISE, THE CONSUMER STATED IT SOUNDED AS IF THE PUMP WAS ABOUT SEIZE AND THEN THE STEERING BECOMES HARD. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. WHILE APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, TO AVOID HITTING A DOG, THE DRIVER FRONT SRS AIR BAGS DEPLOYED; ALTHOUGH, A CRASH DIDN'T OCCUR. THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT CAUSED MINOR BRUISING ON HER BODY. A COMPLAINT HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO THE MANUFACTURERS PRODUCT ALLEGATION DEPARTMENT FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. SHE IS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED, NOR HAVE ANY REPAIRS BEEN MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,700. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,886.
