WE OWN A 2006 GMC ENVOY DENALI XL WE NOTICE THAT THE VEHICLE'S REAR SUSPENSION AIR RIDE AIR BAGS WERE DEFLATING.KNOW IT GOT WORST ,THEY DEFLATE WHILE DRIVING, ONCE THEY DEFLATE COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING IT MAKES IT VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BECAUSE ALL THE WEIGHT SITS ON THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE,WHITCH MAKES THE FRONT VERY LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE TRENDS TO GLYED SIDE TO SIDE .JUST LAST NITE COMMING BACK FROM DINNER THE BAGS DEFLATED WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT STATED GLYDING SIDE TO SIDE.IS ANYBODY OUT THERE WITH SAME VEHICLE AND SIMILAR ISSUE?
OPENED LIFT GATE WHILE REACHING INTO BACK THE LIFT GATE FAILED AND FELL DOWN ON SHOULDERS AND BACK

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
FIRST OFF MY ELECTRICAL PANEL IN MY STEERING WHEEL NONE OF THE LIGHTS ARE ON AND WITH MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS SOME TIME THEY WILL COME AND WHEN IT START TO RAIN AND THEY WILL STOP WORKING THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY GOING TO WORK OR NOT DRIVING LIKE THIS CAN BE A DEATH TRAP, THIS BEEN GOING FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS I TOLD THEM AFTER THE RECALL FOR MY DOOR PANEL THEY SAID IT MIGHT BE RECALL FOR THIS AS WELL NOTHING YET.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SEAT BELT RETRACTOR PRETENSIONER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE AT SPEED CAUSING LOSS OF POWER TO FUEL PUMP WHICH ULTIMATELY MEANT LOSS OF POWER TO VEHICLE AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. WAS TOLD BY GM THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR IGNITION SWITCH AT THIS TIME. *TR
I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION, WHERE A CAR CAME AROUND A BUS INTO MY LANE . IT WAS A CLEAR CUT CASE OF WHO WAS AT FAULT. MY CONCERN IS THAT MY AIR BAG NEVER DEPLOYED. THERE IS A DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG IN THAT MODEL. IF NOT FOR MY SEAT BELT , I WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED FROM THE FORCE. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V248000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
AFTER TAKING CAR IN FOR RECALL FOR HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED ON EVEN THOUGH THE SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION. THEY WILL NOT GO OFF UNTIL THE CAR IS TURNED OFF.
THE AC BLOWER RESISTER OVERHEATED AND MELTED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN 3 YEARS THIS HAS HAPPEN. THE FAN CONTROL USUALLY GOES OUT ON ALL SPEEDS FOLLOWED BY A STRONG SMELL OF ELECTRICAL WIRE BURNING. ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING, PLACED SHIFT LEVER TO PARK POSITION. ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. TRANSMISSION WAS NOW LOCKED IN PARK, CAUSING INABILITY TO PUSH VEHICLE TO SAFETY. REPAIR BY GMC DEALER INVOLVED REPAIRING ELECTRICAL SHORT IN FACTORY WIRING UNDER DASHBOARD AT THE FIREWALL, IN THE AREA OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER MOUNT. APPARENT CAUSE IS IMPROPER ROUTING OF WIRING AT TIME OF VEHICLE MFR, CAUSING ABRASION OF WIRING OVER TIME. *TR
PURCHASED A PRE-OWNED 2006 GMC ENVOY FROM AN AUTHORIZED GMC DEALER IN COLUMBUS, OH, ON 12/31/2014. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THERE WERE CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH THE STABILITRAK FEATURE. THE STABILITRAK LIGHT WOULD RANDOMLY COME ON, AND THEN THE ABS WOULD ENGAGE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BRAKE FOR NO REASON, WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS ALSO HAPPENS AT LOWER SPEEDS WHEN TRAVELING ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS. WE'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES, SPENT LOTS OF MONEY, AND NO ONE CAN FIND A PROBLEM. DUE TO THE STABILITRAK CONSTANTLY MALFUNCTIONING, IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. GM SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND ISSUE A RECALL TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ASAP BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THIS DEFECT!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME FOR THE PART TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
I WAS PULLING UP TO PARK IN A PARKING LOT.I HAD TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE. THE ELECTRONIC SAFETY FEATURES FAILED- AND THERE WAS NO STOPPING THE ENVOY. I SLID UP THE CURB AND INTO THE BUILDING. THE MECHANIC THAT REPAIRED THE ENVOY HAS A WRITTEN REPORT OF THE SAFETY SYSTEMS GETTING STUCK HALF OPENED AND THE BRAKE LINES BRAKING AND THERE WASN'T ANY FLUID IN SYSTEM. *TR

THE CONTACT CONSTANTLY HAD TO USE THE HIGH BEAMS EACH TIME THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF A MANUFACTURER'S RECALL TO REPAIR THE HDMI FAILURE. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY AND THAT THEY COULD ONLY PROVIDE AN INTERIM REPAIR. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY TO REPAIR THE CONDITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR BATTERY CHANGE, AFTER RECEIVING VEHICLE BACK, NOTICED THAT DASH VENTS WOULD NOT OPERATE, DEFROSTERS AND FLOOR VENTS STILL WORK, CONTACTED GM- THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR, BUT NEEDED TO SEE VEHICLE FOR REPAIRS, ESTIMATED COST- $1000.00. DID ONLINE CHECKING, THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH GM DAMPER MOTORS FAILING, OFTEN AFTER BATTERY CHANGE. ONLY SOLUTION IS CHANGE DAMPER MOTOR.

WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I TRIED MERGING ON TO A DIFFERENT LANE TO TAKE MY EXIT AND I REALIZED THAT THE STEERING ON MY VEHICLE WAS VERY STIFF. AS SOON AS I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY I TRIED TURNING ON TO A SIDE STREET AND FOUND THAT STEERING THE VEHICLE WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN PARK FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS SINCE I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE IT. I WAITED ON TAKING IT TO A MECHANIC BECAUSE A FRIEND OF MINE SAID THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING HOSE ON THIS VEHICLE. *TR

THE FUEL GAGE FLUCTUATES FROM FULL TO EMPTY. YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOUR GETTING LOW ON GAS.

FILLED SUV UP AT GAS STATION. GAS GAUGE WENT TO FULL. PROCEEDED OUT OF GAS STATION WHEN THE GAS GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY, GAS GAUGE WILL NOW NOT STAY IN ONE PLACE, CONTINUES TO ACT UP AND MOSTLY STAYS ON EMPTY AND THE BELL RINGS CONSTANTLY. I AM UNABLE TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL I HAVE AND CONCERNED THAT THE SUV WILL THINK ITS OUT OF GAS AND SHUT OFF.

DRIVER HAD JUST EXITED A PARKING LOT ONTO A MAIN ROAD IN THE EVENING. THE CAR WAS COLD, HAD NOT BEEN USED SINCE THE MORNING. THE CAR FAILED TO TAKE POWER AFTER SLOWING DOWN FOR A LIGHT THAT WAS RED THAN CHANGED TO GREEN. THE CAR WAS ON AND IN DRIVE, BUT FAILED TO GO FURTHER. THERE WAS NO WARNING WHATSOEVER. THE DRIVER BRAKED AND STOPPED, NEARLY CAUSING THE CAR BEHIND TO REAR END THE GMC. GMC DRIVER HAD PUT FLASHERS ON IMMEDIATELY. THE CAR WAS PUT IN PARK, TURNED OFF, THAN RESTARTED. THE GMC WAS PUT INTO DRIVE, BUT AGAIN WOULD ONLY ROLL. THE DRIVER PUT THE CAR INTO GEAR 3 ON THE AUTO TRANS, THAN 2. IN GEAR 2, THE CAR MOVED. THE GMC WAS IMMEDIATELY MOVED BACK TO ITS PARKING SPOT. A DIAGNOSTIC SHOWS THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED. ONLY 94,500 MILES, AND THE GM TRANSMISSION IS DEAD. IN LOOKING ON LINE AT CERTAIN CONSUMER DATA AND SPEAKING TO LOCAL MECHANICS, ALL POINT TO TRANSMISSION FAILURES ON THE GM SUV PRODUCTS, INCLUDING CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER & GMC ENVOY. *TR

WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, MY HEADLIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT OUT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE HIGH BEAMS DID NOT WORK EITHER. THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET LIGHTS ON WAS TO HOLD THE FLASH-TO-PASS LIGHTS ON. I STOPPED IN A PARKING LOT, TURNED OFF THE CAR AND THEN STARTED IT AGAIN AND THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON BUT WENT OUT AGAIN AFTER I STARTED DRIVING. I STOPPED AGAIN AND THE LIGHTS WORKED FINE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS BUT I EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM ON 11/3/2014. *TR

ENGINE STALLED A FEW SECONDS AFTER STARTING, THEN WOULD NOT CRANK, ONLY CLICKED. I HAD THE CAR TOWED IN FOR SERVICE. TECHNICIAN CHECKED BATTERY. IT WAS FULLY CHARGED AND VEHICLE HAD FULL VOLTAGE. DIAGNOSTICS DETERMINED LOW VOLTAGE OUT FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. RECOMMENDED IGNITION SWITCH SHOULD BE REPLACED. I HAD THE IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED TWICE ALREADY. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THREE IGNITION SWITCHES IN THREE YEARS AT A TOTAL COST OF $817. I UNDERSTAND THAT GM HAS RECALLED IGNITION SWITCHES ON SEVERAL MODELS BUT THE ENVOY IS NOT PART OF THAT RECALL. OBVIOUSLY MY VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALLED VEHICLES, WHY IS IT NOT PART OF THE RECALL? THE FIRST IGNITION SWITCH FAILED AT 65-70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. SINCE THE REST OF THE ELECTRONICS ARE CONNECTED TO THE IGNITION I HAVE NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT SUCH AS AIR BAGS. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, IT COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. *TR
DRIVING AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND HEAR A CRACKLING NOISE IN DRIVER DOOR PANEL. WINDOW ROLLED UP ON IT'S OWN, SIDE MIRRORS BEGAN TO READJUST THEMSELVES AND HEATED SEAT CAME ON. WHEN NOISE QUIT I HAD LOST ALL CONTROL OF PANEL CONTROLS. CALLED GM DEALER TO GET IT IN FOR THE RECALL ON MASTER SWITCH AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO PARTS OR REMEDY FROM GM AS OF YET. RECALL CAME OUT A COUPLE MONTHS AGO. CALLED ANOTHER DEALER AND TOLD THE SAME THING. I CALLED DIRECT TO GM AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO SOLUTION AT THIS TIME. I HAD NO WINDOW CONTROL, CAR WILL NOT LOCK, SIDE MIRRORS POINTED DOWN TO GROUND SO I CAN'T USE THEM. I CALLED BACK AND ASKED WHY A RECALL WAS ISSUED WHEN THERE WERE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS ON A SAFETY ISSUE SUCH AS THIS. KIDS CAN OPEN DOORS, CAN'T CHANGE LANES ON HIGHWAY DO TO MIRRORS AND CAN'T USE WINDOWS. AS I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CRACKLING CAME BACK AND SEAT REHEATED, MIRRORS REPOSITIONED, AND WINDOW TRIES TO GO DOWN. I CALLED AGAIN AND WAS TOLD I COULD SET AN APPOINTMENT AND WOULD HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT AND THEN GET REIMBURSED FROM GM. I TOLD THEM I WOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY WOULD REVIEW AND GET BACK WITH ME IN 24-48 HOURS. NOTHING SO FAR.THIS MORNING WHILE DRIVING IN THE DARK THE NOISE STARTED AGAIN AND I LOST MY HEADLIGHTS, BLACK, NOTHING. SITTING AT A STOP SIGN TODAY, CAR RUNNING AND IN DRIVE, I LOST ALL DASH PANEL GAUGES FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS. CAR STILL RAN AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK. FEARFUL OF A WRECK AND HAVING KIDS IN THE CAR WITH NO SAFETY LOCKS. I CAN'T MANUALLY LOCK HATCH SO I AM AT RISK OF AN EASY BREAK IN AND I AM IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND TRAVEL WITH SUPPLIES THAT MUST BE LOCKED UP. NEVER BY ANOTHER GMC SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!! *TR

TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR RECALL FOR DRIVER MASTER SWITCH. WINDOW AND DOOR LOCK CONTINUE TO FAIL INTERMITTENTLY EVEN AFTER DEALER SAYS HE CORRECTED RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD A HISTORY OF WINDOWS, DOOR NOT WORKING AND HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES, PLEASE PUSH GMC TO FIX THIS ISSUE. THE LATEST LETTER STATING THIS VEHICLE MAY CATCH FIRE IS VERY CONCERNING.

THIS MORNING, MY WIFE WAS PARKING AT ONE OF OUR KID'S SCHOOLS WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FAILED TO RESPOND. SHE ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, BUT IT WOULD NOT INITIALLY. ONCE THE SHIFTER WOULD MOVE FORWARD, THE VEHICLE DIED, AND CONTINUED TO ROLL FORWARD EVEN THOUGH THE SHIFTER WAS POSITIONED AS IF IN PARK. SHE HAD THE PRESENCE OF MIND TO LET IT ROLL UNTIL STRIKING THE PARKING SPOT CEMENT BUMPER. SHE REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THEN ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE WITH NO SUCCESS AND THE SHIFTER BUTTON WOULD NOT DEPRESS. SHE PANICKED BECAUSE OF LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WITH SO MANY SMALL KIDS AROUND AND CALLED ME. I LEFT WORK, AND UPON ARRIVAL ATTEMPTED TO TROUBLESHOOT WHAT CAUSED THE INCIDENT. I STARTED AT THE SHIFTER, SO I LOOSENED ALL THE COVERS AROUND IT, IN CASE THERE WAS SOMETHING BINDING THE SHIFTER. I ACTUALLY DID FIND SEVERAL SMALL ITEMS THAT HAD FALLEN IN THE COMPARTMENT THROUGH THE FRONT EDGE OF THE CENTER CONSOLE COVER ASSEMBLY. REMOVING THESE ITEMS STILL DID NOT ALLOW RESTARTING OF THE VEHICLE. I THEN LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE, AND DISCOVERED THAT THE LINKAGE FROM THE SHIFTER TO THE TRANSMISSION HAD SEPARATED. I MANIPULATED THE INPUT LEVER AT THE TRANSMISSION WITH MY HAND AND NOTICED THAT IT HAD MOVEMENT IN BOTH DIRECTIONS, WHICH MEANT THE TRANSMISSION WAS ACTUALLY NOT IN PARK. AFTER POSITIONING THE INPUT LEVER AT THE TRANSMISSION TO PARK, THE VEHICLE DID START. I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND RECONNECTED THE SEPARATED LINKAGE. I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THE PIECE THAT MAINTAINS SUCH AN IMPORTANT LINKAGE CONNECTED APPEARS TO BE MADE FROM A PLASTIC. TO ME THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE THAT CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO POTENTIALLY HAVE A VEHICLE STUCK IN A MOVEMENT CAUSING GEAR, AND DUE TO A LINKAGE SEPARATION HAVE NO WAY TO PROPERLY TURN THE VEHICLE OFF (UNTIL IT RUNS OUT OF GAS), TO MADE FROM PLASTIC.
