AUG OF 2016 A RECALL SENT OUT, AS OF NOV 2017 STILL NO RESOLUTION TO FIXING IT. NOW THEY ARE FILING BANKRUPTCY. BEEN WAITING FOR A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. RECEIVED CARD NOTIFICATION IN THE MAIL.
MY TRUCK WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BAD ROCKER ARMS CAUSING MY TRUCK TO LOSE POWER AND EVENTUALLY BREAKDOWN.

AT 50000 MILES HAD TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT HUBS BEARING WHERE DESTROYED.AT 6500 M ILES BRAKE LINES RUPTURED WHILE DRIVING.

THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 866-996-9463 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,983.
I LOST MY BRAKES WHILE DRIVING. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR. TOOK IT TO GMC DEALER WHERE PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS CORRODED BRAKE LINES WHICH HAD TO BE REPLACED.$1300 TOTAL COST. NO BRAKE WARNING LIGHT EVER APPEARED!!! NO OTHER RUST/CORROSION WAS VISIBLE ON TRUCK BODY EXCEPT FOR BRAKE LINES. WAS TOLD THIS WAS AN ISSUE OF ALL GMC/CHEV. TRUCKS FROM THAT TIME SPAN.
THERE SEEMS TO BE A RELAY PROBLEM IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD. THE FIRST PROBLEM HAPPENED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. THE TRUCK WAS PARKED. IT HAD NO POWER. IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER AND HAD NO INSTRUMENT PANEL. CHECKED FUSE BANK AND SWAPPED RELAYS AROUND FOR THE START RELAY. AFTER SWAPPING AROUND A COUPLE OF TIMES, IT CRANKED. IT RAN OK FOR THREE MONTHS. NEXT PROBLEM OCCURRED WITH MY WIFE DRIVING. WITH NO WARNING IT LOST POWER AND DIED. IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. AFTER TRIAL AND ERROR, I SWAPPED AROUND RELAYS FOR THE CRANK & RUN RELAY. IT STARTED. NOTE, I DID NOT REPLACE ANY RELAYS. I JUST SWAPPED THE OUT WITH OTHER RELAYS. WHEN SWAPPING RELAYS, THE OTHER FUNCTIONS WORKED AS WELL. THIS SECOND TIME WAS VERY DANGEROUS AS MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT JUST DIED. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT WITH IT WORKING FINE FOR THE MOMENT.

THE DASH ON THE 2007 GMC SIERRA HAS CRACKED. THIS COULD HAVE AN AFFECT ON THE AIR BAG WHEN DEPLOYED. THE AIR BAG COULD BE CUT BY THE PIECES OF PLASTIC. THIS ALSO SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COST AROUND 1000 DOLLARS JUST TO REPLACE. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER TIME DUE TO POOR MANUFACTURING PLASTIC PRODUCT.
TAKATA RECALL. WAITING SINCE JULY 2016 FOR PART TO BE AVAILABLE TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. THIS SERVICE IS TAKING TOO LONG (9 MONTHS) AND JEOPARDIZES SAFETY OF PASSENGERS RIDING IN THIS SEATING LOCATION IN MY VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, A LOUD BANGING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. UPON INSPECTION, THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE LEAF SPRING FRACTURED AND WAS HANGING ON TOP OF THE AXLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWLY DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE LEAF SPRINGS WERE FRACTURED. THE LEAF SPRINGS AND BRACKETS WERE REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.

DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION ESPECIALLY IF THE AIRBAGS SHOULD BE DEPLOYED POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE SHARDS OF PLASTIC TO FLY TOWARDS THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER. THE DASH CRACKED WHILE I WAS DRIVING.

WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF 2016 FOR A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. WE HAVE MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO HAVE IT REPLACED AT OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP BUT WE ARE TOLD EACH TIME THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. WHILE WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A MASSIVE RECALL, IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER 3 YEARS WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART. WE WERE TOLD OUR ONLY OPTION WAS TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER OR FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NTSB.
