MY CAR JUST COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHEN I WAS SLOWING FOR TRAFFIC AND WHEN I WAS IN A PARKING LOT. THE FIRST TIME I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE THE DOOR WOULDN'T UNLOCK. THEN THE POWER CAME ON BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT HAS PUSH BUTTON GEAR SHIFTS AND WOULD NOT GO INTO NEUTRAL. I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE TO ASSIST UNTIL THE CAR WAS TOWED BECAUSE I WAS ON A VERY BUSY AND DANGEROUS STREET. I HONESTLY WAS SCARED SOMEONE WAS GOING TO SLAM INTO ME. THE SECOND TIME I WAS LOOKING FOR A PARKING SPOT AND IT STOPPED. LUCKILY I ALWAYS KEEP THE DOORS UNLOCKED SINCE FIRST INCIDENT HAD TO BE TOWED BOTH TIMES. AS OF TODAY IT IS STILL AT THE DEALER TRYING TO BE FIXED FOR A SECOND TIME. THEY 'THOUGHT' THEY FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE DEALER HAS HAD MY CAR SINCE OCTOBER 17. THEY CLAIM THEY KNOW WHAT IT IS. THEY REPLACE SOME ENGINE MODULE AND ARE NOW WAITING ON A PUSH BUTTON FOR THE GEAR SHIFT.
RECALL ON THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER. THE DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO GET THE PART TO REPLACE. I TOOK IN OVER 6 MONTHS AGO AND STILL HAVE NOTHING.
THE SCREEN ON THE DASH WHICH INCLUDES THE RADIO AND BACK UP CAMERA GOES WHITE AT RANDOM TIMES AND DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD THE RADIO/SCREEN REPLACED AND IT STILL DOES IT. I HAVE HAD MANY UPDATES WITH THE SCREEN.
WHEN VEERING OR STEERING INTO ANOTHER LANE, LEFT OR RIGHT, THE SAFETY ALERTS, I.E. THE TUG OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND VIBRATION OF SEAT, ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. FOR THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP OF THIS VEHICLE, THIS FEATURE WORKED FINE. HOWEVER, IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS, IT HAS QUIT WORKING OR WORKS SPORATICALLY BUT WHEN WORKING SPORATICALLY, DOES NOT WORK AS IT SHOULD. THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT IS UNABLE TO FIX IT STATING THAT IN "UPDATING" THE PROGRAMMING IN MY CAR, THIS FEATURE WAS WEAKENED (DILIBERATELY BECAUSE GMC INTENDED TO WEAKEN THE FEATURE STATING THE REASON WAS BECAUSE SOME DRIVERS WERE USING THIS FEATURE AS AN AUTO-DRIVE). I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE, ONE OF THE REASONS BEING THAT IT OFFERED THIS FEATURE AND NOW THE FEATURE DOESN'T WORK THE WAY IT DID WHEN I BOUGHT IT.
SCREEN WENT BLACK AND WARNING CHIMES AND SEAT VIBRATION DID NOT GO OFF WHEN BACKING UP. HAD TO FILE A CLAIM WITH INSURANCE TO FIX MY DENTED BUMPER. I ALSO EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH THE AUDIO BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I AM NOT ABLE TO CHANGE THE SONG IN I AM ON APPLE PLAY AND THERE IS ALWAYS A DELAY WHEN CHANGING RADIO STATIONS.
WHILE DRIVING, THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM GOES BLACK, NO AUDIO - THEN REBOOTS AFTER A MINUTE OR TWO. I HAVE DETECTED A BURNING SMELL AS WELL, BUT CANNOT DETERMINE IF IT IS COMING FROM MY VEHICLE OR OUTSIDE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES AND THE DEALER IS TELLING ME THEY CAN NOT REPLICATE OR FIND ANYTHING WRONG. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! THIS HAS HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING HOME, WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROADS, AFTER DRIVING A WHILE, ON THE HIGHWAY, STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. THERE IS SO SPECIFIC TIME OR FREQUENCY THAT THIS OCCURS. THIS FIRST HAPPENED WITHIN 300 MILES OF WHEN I FIRST LEASED, UP TO A WEEK AGO SUNDAY, JULY 7. TOTAL OF 5 TIMES IN THE PAST 10 MONTHS!
RADIO PLAYS RANDOM RADIO STATIONS AND WILL NOT ALLOW RADIO TO BE TURNED OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF ( NO POWER TO THE VEHICLE, DOORS ARE OPENED AND THE FOB IS OVER 500 FT AWAY). RADIO SCREEN FLASHES TO A BLANK SCREEN. DOES NOT READ CONTACT INFORMATION FOR CELLPHONE CONNECTED TO VEHICLE. WILL NOT ALLOW PHONE CALLS TO BE MADE AND WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY MUSIC THROUGH RADIO AND CAR SPEAKERS WHILE PHONE IS ENGAGED IN A TELEPHONE CALL ( ONCE CALL IS ABLE TO BE PLACED). ANDROID AUTO FEATURE STOPPED WORKING. VEHICLE WILL SLIP OUT OF GEAR AND RANDOMLY PUT SELF INTO AN OVERDRIVE. VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE DESPITE GAS PETAL BEING ALMOST TO THE FLOOR AND THEN WILL JUMP RAPIDLY AND ACCELERATE QUICKLY. VEHICLE SMELLS LIKE RUBBER IS BURNING UNDER THE HOOD AT VARIOUS TIMES.
WAS LEAVING A PARKING SPOT. VEHICLE REVERSED FINE, PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT BEGAN TO JERK AND DID NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. MADE IT TO THE NEXT AISLE TO PARK IT AND GET OUT OF WAY. ONCE PARKED, SHUT OFF VEHICLE. STARTED IT. REVERSED IT AND IT WOULD ONLY REV UP, DID NOT REVERSE. PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT JERKED FORWARD, HARD AND KEPT JERKING AS I PULLED FORWARD. PARKED IT AGAIN AND TURNED IT OFF. CALLED DEALERSHIP, WHO CALLED A TOW SERVICE TO TOW IT TO THEM. ATTEMPTED TO SHOW TOW GUY THE ISSUE AT HIS REQUEST, UPON HIS ARRIVAL, PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IT REVVED UP BRIEFLY THEN JERKED INTO REVERSE. HAD TO MOVE VEHICLE TO CLEAR AREA TO GET IT ON THE TOW TRUCK SO I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT BEGAN TO JERK CONSTANTLY AND BARELY ACCELERATING AS I DROVE AND FELT AND SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF (BUT DIDN'T) BEFORE I MADE IT TO WHERE I COULD PARK AGAIN. LUCKILY I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON THE ROAD. I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE EXACTLY A MONTH. VERY SCARY.
Brakes go to floor an brake peddle starts to vibrate, (lost of brakes ) Brake assist light comes on. Vehicle has 27000 miles . Problem started at 6000 miles an was brought to GMC service centers 3 times for same issue. They replaced 3 different parts at a total cost of1600 dollars. Brake system is being replaced one part at a time at my expense, GMC has no clue what problem is. Will not admit there is an issue? Just got vehicle back for 3rd time an 3rd new part .
I ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND SAT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN I SAT DOWN AND STARTED TO PUT ON MY SEAT BELT, I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE SEAT BECAME UNSTABLE AND ROCKED BACK AND FORTH. THIS OCCURRED BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I LOOKED UNDER THE SEAT AND NOTICED A BOLT HAD SNAPPED ON THE BOTTOM SEAT FRAME.
THE NEW AUTO STOP THAT SHUTS OFF THE MOTOR WHEN YOU'RE AT A RED LIGHT DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY. SOMETIMES IT SHUTS OFF, BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT DOESN'T BEEN TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND THE RADIO WILL NOT COME ON AT TIMES EVEN THOUGH GM HAS PERFORMED UPDATES ON THESE PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST
BOUGHT BRAND NEW. AT 14,000 MILES ALL 4 ROTORS ARE PITTED WITH GROOVES. DEALER TOOK THEM APART AND FOUND NOTHING THAT COULD CAUSE IT. SAID THEY WERE "WEATHERED". TOOK IT TO 2 OTHER PLACES AND SAID IT WAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. DEALER WONT REPLACE BECAUSE BUMPER TO BUMPER WONT COVER IT. ITS A DEFECT DIDNT NOTICE UNTIL ANOTHER DEALER DID THE OIL CHANGE. THE DEALER IN FEBRUARY SAID THEY WERENT LIKE THAT IN FEBRUARY.
I WAS NOTIFIED OF MY DEALER OF RECALL N192217490. WHICH IS A SERIOUS ISSUE AND IT'S NOT ON YOUR LIST WONDERING WHY YOUR LIST IS LACKING YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE AUTHORITY ON RECALLS BUT YET ON STAR NOTIFIED MY DEALER OF THIS RECALL AND IT'S A TRANSMISSION ISSUE OR CLUTCH ISSUE WHICH IS SERIOUS WHY IS IT NOT ON YOUR LIST HOW CAN I TRUST YOUR COMPANY TO HAVE A THOROUGH LISTING OF ALL RECALLS WHEN THIS WIND IS NOT EVEN ON CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR EXPLANATION
The contact owns a 2018 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH going over a hill, the brake pedal was depressed but was firm and failed to depress as needed. The engine power reduced message was displayed and flashed on and then off. The brake assist warning light was illuminated. The service transmission message was displayed. The contact continued to depress the brake pedal until the vehicle responded as needed. The driver was able to pull into a parking lot, and the vehicle rolled to a stop. While driving, the engine misfired. Additionally, the vehicle failed to fully shutoff. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brakes had locked up and that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the cam shaft had fractured inside the engine. Additionally, the fuel injector, fuel line, and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the VIN was under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN AND IN THE TURN THE OPERATOR LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING HER TO STRIKE A CURB THEN HEAD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WHEN IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE IT LOOKED LIKE THE BALL JOINT HAD FAILED CAUSING THE LOSS OF CONTROL. A BYSTANDER SAID HE HEARD A LOUD POP AND LOOKED UP AND WITNESSED THE VEHICLE SLIDE INTO THE CURB AND THEN SEE THE FRONT LEFT TIRE LOCK UP AND THE VEHICLE COME TO A STOP.

THE VEHICLE WOULD RESTART AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TASCA BUICK (510 E NASA BLVD, MELBOURNE, FL 32901, (321) 247-7124) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
TRANSMISSION FAILS TO DOWN SHIFT AFTER ACCELERATING IN TRAFFIC. RPM LEGAL 2200 RPM AT 40 MPH FOR OVER A MILE BEFORE DROPPING TO CORRECT 1200 RPM FOR THAT SPEED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 GMC TERRAIN. WHEN DRIVING DOWNHILL, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND HAD IT TOWED TO ANCHOR BUICK GMC (1 AUTOMOTIVE BLVD, ELKTON, MD 21921, (443) 406-4623) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,200.
THE CAR AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM LOCKED UP AS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. COULD NOT GET CAR TO MOVE.
I GOT A DIAGNOSTIC ALERT: SERVICE THE ENGING AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM IN YOUR 2018 TERRAIN WITHIN 7 DAYS. THE CODE WAS P050F. I HAVE A LITTLE OVER 10,000 MILES ON HERE.
WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE IT LOSES PROPULSION WITHOUT NOTICE. THE VEHICLE STAYS IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLES RPM INCREASE AS YOUR FOOT IS ON THE ACCELERATOR BUT THE VEHICLE DOESN'T CONTINUE TO MOVE. THE ONLY WAY TO REGAIN PROPULSION IS TO COMPLETELY SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN START UP AGAIN.
I HAVE AROUND 6 TO 7 MONTH WITH THE VEHICLE AND SINCE DAY ONE IT MADE A WEARD NOISE IN THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION AREA AND THE VEHICLE DOESNT RESPOND AND PERFORM WELL I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AT FIRST THEY STATED IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THEN THEY STARTED GIVING ME MANYDIFERENT EXCUSES AND THAT IT WAS NORMAL BUT STILL THE SUV WOULDNT RESPOND I CALLED GM AND THEY OPENED A TICKET BUT AFTER THAT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT IN OTHER WORDS THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUE. YESTURDAY FEB 26,2019 THE SUV STARTED HAVING WORST PROBLEMS AS TO WHERE IT WOULD NOT RUN MOR THEN 33 MILES A HOUR IT STARTED SHAKING RPMS GOING WILD THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 5500 MILES ON IT. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO OUT OF THIS TIME I HAVE WITH IT THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN MORE TIMED AT THE DEALERSHIP THAN WITH ME
WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR AFTER COMING OUT OF REVERSE THE CAR REVS UP BETWEEN 35 AND 45 RPMS. THIS IS WHEN IT IS GOING ABOUT 25 MPH. WHEN I REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS THE CAR JERKS VIOLENTLY FORWARD AND RPMS DROP TO 25RMS. WHEN I GIVE IT SOME GAS THE RPMS GO UP AGAIN TO THE 35-45 RPM. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THIS TO STOP IS TO PULL OVER, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURN OFF THE CAR AND OPEN THE DOOR. I LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 10 MIN AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON AND DRIVE. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG THAT WHEN THEY PLUG IT IN EVERYTHING COMES BACK FINE. I HAVE HAD OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAR AND IT HAS HAPPENED WITH WITNESSES SO I AM NOT IMAGINING IT. THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND STARTED HAPPENING A FEW DAYS AFTER I GOT IT. THE DATE I AM GIVING OF WHEN IT HAPPENED IS THE LATEST ONE - IT STARTED 8/18.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 GMC TERRAIN. WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE SHOOK AND VIBRATED LOUDLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ED BOZARTH CHEVROLET (2001 S HAVANA ST, AURORA, CO 80014, (720) 746-2716) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES WERE FAULTY. BOTH REAR TIRES WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE NAVIGATION/MEDIA CENTER WILL EITHER GO COMPLETELY BLACK OR COMPLETELY WHITE SCREEN EVEN WHEN BACKING UP YOU LOSE THE CAMERA AND CAN'T SHUT OFF THE RADIO. IF THE SCREEN GOES WHITE DURING EVENING DRIVING THE REFLECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD IS SO SEVERE I CAN'T DRIVE AND THE SYSTEM WILL NOT SHUT OFF WHEN THE POWER BUTTON IS DEPRESSED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALERSHIP, THEY REPLACED THE RADIO ONCE. IT IS DOING IT AGAIN LESS THAN A MONTH LATER. GMC SAID THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE BUT DO NOT KNOW WHY OR HAVE A FIX. IN THE MEAN TIME I AM TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE SINCE THEY DO NOT SEE THIS AS A SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO FROM YESTERDAY I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BACKING UP WHEN THE WHOLE SCREEN WENT BLACK. I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY ONTO A CITY STREET. WHEN WE GOT TO OUR DESTINATION AND SHUT THE CAR OFF THE RADIO STAYED ON EVEN ONCE WE EXITED THE VEHICLE AND SHUT AND LOCKED THE DOORS. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE POTENTIAL OF A FIRE HAZARD AS WELL.
REAR DOOR ELECTRIC LOCKING SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. ALSO COULD NOT ENTRR CAR AFTER CAR WASH AS ALL OTHER DOORS WERE INOPERABLE.
AT NIGHT WHILE STOPPED, AS YOU SHIFT THE CAR INTO REVERSE, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA DISPLAY IS BLINDING BRIGHT. ITS BRIGHT LIGHT IS BEING REFLECTED BY THE WINDOWS BACK INTO THE CAR, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE OTHER CAR FUNCTIONS - RADIO, PHONE, AND NAVIGATION - WHICH ALL USE THE SAME DISPLAY SCREEN AS THE BACKUP CAMERA, DIM THEMSELVES FOR NIGHT USE, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA DISPLAY IS AS BRIGHT AT NIGHT AS IT IS DURING THE DAY, CAUSING THIS ISSUE. THIS IS A PERMANENT, REPEATABLE ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING ON A SNOW- COVERED ROAD WITH ANY AMOUNT OF SNOW, THE SNOW GETS PACKED INSIDE OF THE WHEELS AND THROWS THE WHEEL BALANCE OFF CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO SHIMMY BADLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I HAVE TO REMOVE THE SNOW PACK EVVERY DAY, AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS AN AERODYNAMIC DESIGN FLAW WITH THE WHEELS WHERE THE SNOW DOESN'T GET BLOWN OUT OF THE WHEEL WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION.
DRIVING ON A DOWNSLOPE HEADING NORTH ON 65 GOING INTO TENNESSEE FROM ALABAMA I EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER SYSTEM LIGHTS WENT OFF ALONG WITH GAUGES GOING OFF AND ON. AT WHICH TIME STABIATRAK AND TRANSMISSION LIGHTS CAME ON SAYING TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY.WE DID SO CALLED GM ONSTAR WHERE THEY TOLD US WE WOULD EXPERIENCE A LOSS IN POWER BUT COULD TRAVEL ONWARD. WE CHOSE TO GET TOWED, HOWEVER DUE TO THE HOLIDAY WE HAD DIFFICULTIES GETTING A TOW AND WERE FORCED TO DRIVE HOME 90 MILES AWAY. THE PROBLEM DID NOT PRESENT ITSELF AGAIN ON THE DRIVE HOME. WE TOOK IT TO A GMC DEALER IN VESTAVIA HILLS THEY PULLED OFF THE CODES BUT HAD NO REASON FOR THE ISSUE NOR WERE THEY ABLE TO GET SERVICE BULLETINS FROM GM ON THE ISSUE. I DOCUMENTED THE FINDINGS WENT HOME AND A LATER ON 11/23/18 THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AT ABOUT 130 MILES FROM THE FIRST INCIDENT. THIS TIME IT HAPPENED GOING UP A HILL AND GIVING THE CAR GAS DID NOTHING TO GET ME UP THE VERY SMALL GRADE. I HAD TO PUT IT IN REVERSE AND GET A RUNNING START AT THE HILL IN ORDER TO MAKE IT HOME. I CALLED GM AGAIN AND REQUESTED A TOW TO A SECOND DEALER IN TRUSSVILLE, AL THEY WERE UNABLE TO EVEN SEE IT UNTIL MONDAY 11/26/18. I AM VERY FEARFUL THAT IF WE HAVE TO DRIVE IT AGAIN THAT I MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY.
LEAKING DIESEL FUEL LINE WHILE RUNNING, PARKED AND IN GEAR. SECOND DIESEL TERRAIN FLEET VEHICLE TO LEAK FUEL; OTHER COLLEAGUE HAD THE SAME ISSUE RECENTLY AND WAS ASKED IF SOMEONE CUT THE FUEL LINE. NOW, MINE IS LEAKING.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER. THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT THEY KNEW ABOUT THE FAILURE, BUT THERE WAS NO REMEDY. THE CONTACT TRADED IN THE VEHICLE FOR A DIFFERENT YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL. THE CONTACT CALLED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND WAS ADVISED TO CALL NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY COMPLAINT DOES NOT STEM FROM THE DEALERSHIP FIXING THE ISSUE, AS I HAVE NOT BROUGHT THE TRUCK IN YET FOR THE FIX. THEIR IS A START/STOP FEATURE IN THIS MODEL WHERE THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTS. I'M TOLD IT'S FOR FUEL EFFICIENCY. FIRST ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE WAS A SEPARATION OF THE DASH NEAR AND AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME IF THE AIRBAG HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. AT THE FINAL JERK THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 35 MPH TO 5MPH AND WOULD NOT ACCELLERATE. THERE WERE SEVERAL LOUD NOISES AND A BURNING SMELL. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO MY RESIDENCE. WHEN I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE FROM JIM CAUSLEY I ASKED IF IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I ASKED ABOUT THE REPAIRS AND I WAS TOLD THERE WERE SOME LOOSE WIRES AND MINOR ADJUSTMENTS. ONCE AGAIN MY LIFE WAS PUT IN JEOPARDY BECAUSE OF A VEHICLE FAILING TO OPERATE WHILE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.

I DROVE NO MORE THAT 15 MILES AND THE VEHICLE JERKED, STALLED, MADE LOUD NOISES AND SMELLED OF SOMETHING BURNING. THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 35MPH TO 5MPH. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE BEYOND 10-15MPH. I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY RESIDENCE. ON TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2018 I HAD IT TOWED TO JIM CAUSLEY. STOPPED AT A LIGHT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE VEHICLE JERKED, THEN SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO PARK. THE INFO SYSTEM GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: TRANSMISSION, STABILITRAK AND PARKING ASSIST. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRIED TO RESTART IT. I GOT A MESSAGE THAT SAID "THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.:" AT THIS TIME NON OF THE GEAR OPTIONS WERE AVAILABLE. A ROSEVILLE, MICHIGAN POLICE OFFICER HAD TO POSITION HERSELF BEHIND ME BECSUSE CARS WERE GOING AROUND ME ON BOTH SIDES (MY FOUR WAY BLINKERS WERE ON).THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, THUS MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE DRAGGED ONTO THE TRUCK. AT THE DEALER THEY WERE UNABLE TO CHANGE GEARS AND ONCE AGAIN MY VEHICLE WAS DRAGGED OFF THE TOW TRUCK PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT. I REPORTED TO THE DEALER THE ROCKY, BOUNCY, PULLING RIDE WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE HARD TO CONTROL. I ALSO REPORTED THE JERKING WHILE DRIVING AND IN THE AUTO STOP. DESPITE ALL OF MY VERBALIZATIONS OF THE CONCERNS, THEY, WROTE THE WORK ORDERS IN DEALER LANGUAGE AND ONLY ADDRESSED WHAT THEY WANTED.
