2001 GMC YUKON WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKE PROBLEMS. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE ABS SYSTEM IS ACTIVATING AT SLOW SPEEDS WHILE TRYING TO STOP. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. *KB THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE RECALL ONLY COVERED NORTHERN STATES AND THE STATE WHERE HE LIVED WAS NOT CONSIDERED NORTHERN. *JB
EMERGENCY BRAKE DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY, VEHICLE HAS FAILED THE SAFETY INSPECTION TWICE. MANUFACTURER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT DEALER ADJUSTED EMERGENCY BRAKES TO THEIR SPECIFICATIONS, AND NOTHING ELSE WOULD BE DONE.*JB ....*AK
WHILE DRIVING THE WIRES FROM THE VEHCILE SENDING UNIT TO THE FUEL TANK, BURNT OUT. WHICH RESULTED IN THE FUEL TANK BEING INOPERATIVE. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE DETAILS. TS
THE VEHICLE DIDN'T PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE THE PARKING BRAKE FAILED. *NLM
PROBLEMS WITH 2001 YUKON XL EMERGENCY BRAKE.*MR CONSUMER HEARD A HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE AND THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WHEN TAKEN TO THE MECHANIC, THE CONSUMER WAS ADVISED THE THROTTLE BODY AND ELECTRONIC BRAKE MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *PH. ALSO THE EMERGENCY PARK BRAKE WAS INOPERATIVE.*JB

CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM. WHEN PARKING BRAKE WAS APPLIED VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARD.*AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT AN EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM. CONSUMER STATED EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE DIDN'T HOLD. THIS VEHICLE FAILED THE STATE SAFETY INSPECTION DUE TO THE PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM. *AK
AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND THEN PARKING IT FOR A WHILE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. DEALER WAS CONTACTED BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FAILED TO ROLL DOWN, WHICH WAS CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THE WHEEL BEARINGS WERE BAD AND THE VEHICLE ALSO NEEDED TIRES. *JB
CRUISE CONTROL FAILURE CAUSED BY AN ABERRANT VOLTAGE ON STOP LAMP CIRCUIT. ALSO THE PCM, STARTER AND SERPENTINE BELT WAS REPLACED. *AK *JB
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TAILGATE WINDOW FELL OF ON A SIDE. DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT CONSUMER WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. MR
LACK OF 3 POINT RESTRAINT SYSTEM AND HEAD RESTS ON MIDDLE POSITION OF BENCHES. I HAVE SIX CHILDREN WHO ARE QUICKLY OUTGROWING CAR SEATS. I BELIEVE 2 PT RESTRAINTS ARE UNSAFE. WHEN WILL THEY BECOME STANDARD IN LARGE UTILITY VECHICLES LIKE THE YUKON XL? LESSER CARS ARE EQUIPPENT WITH THEM. HOW DOES A MOTHER CHOOSE WHICH 2 CHILDREN TO PLACE IN THE LESS SAFE SEATS? NLM
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN TWO ACCIDENTS IN WHICH NEITHER TIME DID THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY,DURING ONE ACCIDENT THE CONSUMER SAYS SHE ALSO DOESNT REMEMBER THE SEAT BELT TIGHTENING CAUSING HER TO STRICK HER HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND KNEES TO HIT THE DASH. *MJ
PASSENGER SAFETY BELT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, LOCKING MECHANISM IS TOO SENSITIVE. PASSENGER WILL SLIGHTLY MOVE FORWARD AND SEAT BELT WILL LOCK AND PLACE EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO PASSENGER . ONLY WAY IT WILL LOOSEN UP OR RELEASE IS IF PERSON REMOVES SEAT BELT AND REAPPLIES IT. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION AT 70MPH, AND FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT TO DEPLOY. PASSENGER SUSTAINED MAJOR BODY INJURIES.*AK
VEHICLE PULL TO THE RIGHT, CHECKED ALIGNMENT AND TIRE BALANCED POSSIBLY A COMPONENT OF THE STEERING COLUMN
WAS SOLD NEW VEHICLE WITH P265 TIRES. GMC SAYS THE DEALER CAN PUT ANY TIRE HE WANTS ON THE VEHICLE,THE DEALER DIDN'T KNOW IT STATES IN OWNERS MANUAL DON'T USE TIRE CHAIS WITH P265 TIRES. SEE PAGE 6-52 YUKON 2001 OWNERS MANUAL. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GMC #C05410969. I FEEL IT IS A SERIOUS CONDITION FOR A DEALER TO BE ABLE TO SELL A VEHICLE WITH P265 TIRES WITHOUT HAVING TO AT LEAST WORN BUYER THAT THEY CAN NOT USE SNOW CHAINS ON P265. BACK OF FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WOBBLES WHEN COMING TO A STOP. VEHICLE TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP. WAS TOLD THAT DEFECT CANNOT BE FIXED. DEALER HAD REPLACED TRACKING. IT CORRECTED DEFECT FOR ONE MONTH. PROBLEM HAVE REOCCURED AGAIN. PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
WHEN USING MIDDLE LAP SEAT BELT FOR CSS BELT WILL LOOSEN, AND WILL NOT LOCK IF IT IS POSITIONED AT A RIGHT ANGLE . CONSUMER MUST ROTATE BELT IN ORDER TO HOLD TENSION. CONSUMER WAS NOT AWARE OF DEFECT DESIGN NOR WAS CONSUMER ADVISED BY DEALER OF DEFECT DESIGN. *AK
