OUR YUKON XL HAS A SEVERE REVERBERATION INSIDE THE CABIN THAT IS ACCENTUATED WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS OR ACCELERATING UP HILLS. WE HAVE GONE TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY ARE CURRENTLY CLAIMING THAT IT IS BECAUSE THE CABIN IS SO LONG. AFTER 15 MINUTES IN THE VEHICLE IT BECOMES ANNOYING TO INTOLERABLE.
WHILE DRIVING INTERMITTENTLY THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, VEHICLE VIBRATES AND SPEED WILL DECREASE TO 30 MPH ALL AT THE SAME TIME. THE DEALERSHIP CAN NOT LOCATE PROBLEM, BUT THINKS IT HAS TO DO WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE DETAILS.
THE SEAT BELTS IN MY 2003 YUKON XL DENALI SLOWLY TIGHTEN UP DURING OPERATION. WE NEED TO RELEASE THE BELT AND ALLOW IT TO RETRACT COMPLETLY AND THEN RELATCH IT. GMC HAS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM OTHER THAN OFFERING BELT EXTENTIONS.
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE AND IT WILL BE HARD FOR THE CONSUMER TO GET CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE TO DECELERATE. DEALER NOTIFIED. MR
2003 GMC YUKON WON'T START WITH A QUARTER TANK OF GAS. CONSUMER STATES THAT DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD BRING THE TANK DOWN AND REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP BUT THEY NEVER DID. *KB
2003 GMC YUKON WITH A RECALL FOR TACKS ON THE DASHBOARD. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD TO MANY MILES ON IT. *KB
WHEN THE VEHICLE HEADLAMPS OR PARK LAMPS WERE TURNED ON, THE ELECTRIC TRAILER BRAKES WOULD NOT RESPOND WHEN THE VEHICLE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. *PH THE CONSUMER FELT THAT GM SHOULD COVER THE EXPENSES. *SCC. THE DEALER STATED THE BRAKE WIRING HARNESS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE CURRENT YEAR MODEL BECAUSE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE DIFFERENT AND A NEW WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE PURCHASED. *JB
THERE WAS EXPOSED METAL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE SEATS. WHEN THE OWNER REACHED DOWN TO PICK UP HER CELL PHONE, SHE RECEIVED A DEEP CUT ON HER FINGER AND THUMB. *AK *SCC *JB
VEHICLE KEEPS SHIFTING TO 4 LOW ON ITS OWN. DEALER REPLACED SOME PARTS, BUT CONSUMER DOES NOT KNOW WHICH PARTS. *AK 2003 GMC YUKON SHIFTING TO FOUR LOW ON ITS OWN. PROBLEM STARTED AT 3,000 MILES AND HAS EVEN OCCURED AFTER COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED.*MR
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A HEADLIGHT PROBLEM. THEY CAME ON AND WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. BUT WHEN VEHICLE WAS TURNING A CORNER HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED ON AND OFF. DEALERSHIP STATED THEY COUDN'T RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, BUT GMC WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH VEHICLE STALLED AND LOST POWER. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A HILL AND UPON DEPRESSING BRAKES CONSUMER NOTICED BRAKE PEDAL VIBRATED HARD AND TRAVELED TO FLOORBOARD. CONSUMER REPEATEDLY DEPRESSED BRAKES TO COME TO A NORMAL STOP. *AK
THE CONSUMER INDICATED THAT GMC MANUFACTURED A LARGE NUMBER OF 5.3 LITER ENGINES WITH EITHER UNDER SIZED PISTONS OR OVER SIZED COMBUSTION CYLINDERS WHICH RESULTED IN PISTON SLAP. THE NOISE IS VERY LOUD WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD BUT AFTER A PERIOD OF 10-15 MINUTES THE NOISE GOES AWAY. *LA THE CONSUMER INDICATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD ISSUE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY TO CONSUMER'S WHO CONTACTED THEM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER FEELS THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD EITHER REPLACE THE ENGINE OR REPAIR THE PROBLEM. *NM
WHILE DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN STEERING COLUMN LOCKED IN PLACE. CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED BY A TECHNICIAN, AND HE DETERMINED THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT AS THE CAUSE. STEERING COLUMN SHAFT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. *AK
