THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DICK NORRIS BUICK GMC (18200 US HWY 19 N, CLEARWATER, FL 33764) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED INTERMITTENTLY WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MOVE OFF FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE CONTACT CONTACTED JACK WINEGARDNER CHEVROLET (11001 MD-210, FORT WASHINGTON, MD 20744, (301) 292-6500) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL INJECTOR AND FUEL RAIL NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ADDED FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 244,000.
TWO CRACKS ON FRONT DASHBOARD AT APPROXIMATELY 7 YEARS. A MECHANIC HAD TO REMOVE THE DASH FOR A REPAIR AND THE SMALL EXISTING CRACK GREW INTO A JAGGED TEN INCH CRACK UP ONTO THE DASH COWLING.

NO ONE WILL GET THE PARTS IN TO REPAIR MY AIRBAGS AND IT'S BEEN YEARS. ITS AS IF THEY WANT ME TO GET RID OF MY TRUCK BUT I DON'T WANT TO. THERE'S ALSO A RECALL ON SOMETHING SMOKING AND THE YEAR STARTS AT 2007 YET MY TRUCK ISN'T INCLUDED WHICH IS VERY STRANGE SOME I JUST HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME ON 2/9 AND HAD TO HAVE MY TRUCK TOWED AND REPAIRED AT AMERICAN PETROLEUM ON QUARTERFIELD RD.
2007 YUKON XL 1500 CRACKS IN DASH AND PEELING CLEAR COAT
GM RECALLED THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ALMOST 4 YEARS AGO WITH NO FIX FOR MY VEHICLE YET. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. ALSO, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE LIT ON THE DASHBOARD BUT NO CODES ARE STORED. BAD GROUND.
WHEN OPENING THE HATCH OR BACK OF THE VEHICLE, THE LIGHTS WILL GO ON AND OFF AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START UP. YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 5 MINUTES SOMETIMES LONGER FOR THE ENGINE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WILL BE IN STATIONARY, I HAVE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF IF I AM GOING TO OPEN THE BACK IF I DON'T IT MESSES UP ALL THE GAGES IN FRONT AND WILL NOT OPERATE.

WHEN DRIVING, IF ADJUSTING STEERING WHEEL POSITION IP OR DOWN, ALL DASH BOARD LIGHTS ILLUMINATE AND ENGINE SHUTS OFF. I SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND RE START ENGINE WITHOUT ISSUES. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I MOVE THE COLUMN
THE PLASTIC DASH BOARD HAS BEEN CRACKING OVER THE YEARS. IT IS NOW BREAKING INTO JAGGED PIECES THAT ARE FREE TO FLY AROUND THE PASSENGER CABIN. CRACKED PIECES AROUND THE AIR BAG POSE A POTENTIAL PROBLEM TO THE EYES AND FACE OF PASSENGERS IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. ELECTRICAL WIRES ARE ALSO EXPOSED TO UV LIGHT CAUSING PREMATURE FAILURE. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN METICULOUSLY CARED FOR WITH NO OTHER MAJOR FAILURES TO SPEAK OF. I BELIEVE THAT THE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DASH SITUATION HAS BEEN CAUSED BY SUBSTANDARD MATERIALS USED IN MANUFACTURING.
HAPPENED TWO TIMES YESTERDAY. 2007 YUKON DENALI ODOMETER: 191,707 ENGINE HOURS: 1443.9 FIRST, STABILITRAK CONTROL TURNED OFF AND ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED ILLUMINATED ON THE MESSAGE CENTER OF THE DASH BOARD. CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 20 MPH. WHEN I WOULD TRY TO PUSH THE GAS PETAL THERE WOULD BE A SHUTTER IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURN IT OFF AND TRIED RESTARTING. SAME ISSUES CONTINUED. I LIMPED TO MY WORK A LESS THAN A MILE AWAY TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING AS I HAD MYSELF AND 4 KIDS IN THE CAR AFTER TRICK OR TREATING. I SHUT OFF THE CAR AND WAITED FOR A BIT WHILE I READ ONLINE WHAT WAS CAUSING THIS. UPON RESTARTING THE CAR, IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN AS NORMAL. SAFETY RISK WHEN YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE PAST 20 MPH ON A 45 MILE PER HOUR ROAD. SECOND OCCURANCE WAS A FEW HOURS LATER. I TURNED THE CAR ON TO LEAVE AND THE SAME THINGS HAPPENED, THIS TIME IT WAS DRIVING LIKE I HAD LOST MY POWER STEERING AND NO ENGINE POWER. LUCKILY, AGAIN, I WAS IN A SPOT TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE, TURN THE CAR OFF AND MADE IT HOME OKAY. THIS CAR HAS A BRAND NEW ENGINE. UPON READING HERE AND SOME OTHER THINGS ONLINE IT SEEMS THE STABILITRAK HAS NUMBEROUS REPORTS OF THIS SAME THING. LUCKILY I HAVE BEEN IN A SPOT WHERE IT DIDN'T BECOME DANGEROUS AND I KNEW WHAT TO DO BASED ON READING HERE. I USE MY YUKON FOR WORK SO CAN'T HAVE THIS HAPPENING AND IT'S DANGEROUS FOR MYSELF, MY KIDS AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE BEHIND ME WHEN IT HAPPENS. HOPEFULLY WITH ENOUGH COMPLAINTS SOMETHING CAN BE DONE TO FIX THIS ISSUE. I HAVE INCLUDED A PIC OF THE SYMBOL THAT ILLUMINATED ON MY DASHBOARD WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
AS I WAS WALKING TO MY TRUCK, I HIT THE BUTTON (AS I HAVE ALWAYS DONE) TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG EXPLODED AND CRASHED THE WINDSHIELD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STOPPED TO MAKE A TURN, HER VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S REAR BUMPER WAS DAMAGED AND THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE INSURANCE COMPANY INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WAS DRIVING AND STABILIZATION GOT TURNED TURNED OFF. THE ENGINE POWER GOT REDUCED. DECREASING THE CAR'S POWER DRAMATICALLY THEN EVENTUALLY NOT DRIVABLE. THIS IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO MAKE A SMOOTH LANE CHANGE TO THE SIDE TO STOP THE CAR. BUT IF I COULDN'T AND THERE WAS A LOT OF CARS, THIS WOULD OF CAUSED A MASSIVE ACCIDENT. I FEEL FROM MY RESEARCH, GMC SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE AND FIX THIS! VERY ANGRY BECAUSE IT HAD HAPPENED TWICE NOW!!!
TAKATA RECALL, POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY OCCUR WITH USE OF THIS VEHICLE. FOR TWO YEARS I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS REPLACED AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. LAST ATTEMPT WAS 8-29-19.
TAKATA RECALL : I HAVE BEEN PATIENT WITH THIS RECALL BUT NOW TO IS TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM . WE NEED TO HAVE THESE AIR BAGS REPLACED SO WE AND MY KIDS AND MY GRANDKIDS CAN TRAVEL SAFEYLY ON THE ROADS OF THIS COUNTRY . TOO LONG HAS THIS SAFETY PROBLEM GONE UNADDRESSED WHILE WE WAIT FOR RESULTS BUT THERE HAS BEEN NONE . WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE MORE DEATHS AND INJURIES TO OUR LOVED ONES BEFORE OUR SAFETY ORGANIZATIONS STEP UP AND DO THEIR JOB AS THEY WERE HIRED TO DO . AS WE SEE IT YOU AND EVERYONE INVOLVED HAVE BEEN NEGILGENT IN RESOLVING THIS MATTER . THIS MATTER HAS PUT MONEY AHEAD OF LIVES . WHY DOES A COUNTRY LIKE OURS LET THEIR PEOPLE GO OUT EVERY DAY IN THESE UNSAFE VEHICLES AND DO NOTHING ABOUT IT . IT IS TIME TO FIX THIS NOW !!!!! TAKATA RECALL HAS NOT OCCURRED FOR MY 2007 VEHICLE. IT IS NOW 2019. I AM ORIGINAL OWNER. WHEN I HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER THEY STATE THERE IS NO RECALL. MY HUSBAND HAS ALREADY RECEIVED NEW AIRBAG IN 2007 CHEVY PICKUP.
TAKATA RECALL - I AM NOW RECEIVING WARNING LIGHTS TO "SERVICE MY AIRBAG" ON MY VEHICLES MONITORING SYSTEM. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS GM AND THEY STILL HAVE NO FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. ACCORDING TO A PETITION THEY FILED WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION, THEY WERE TO HAVE A FIX ADOPTED BY AUGUST 2017. IT IS NOW AUGUST 2019 AND THEY HAVE YET TO SUPPLY A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE!! THANK GOD I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE AIRBAG HAS DEPLOYED, NEITHER DO I CARE TO WAIT UNTIL I HAVE AN ACCIDENT. ACCORDING TO THE REPRESENTATIVE AT GM, "THEY CAN SEE THAT IT IS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE". THEY HAVE NOT INSPECTED MY VEHICLE, HAVE NO SOLUTIONS AS TO REPLACING AIRBAGS THAT HAVE BEEN DEEMED FAULTY YEARS AGO, SO HOW CAN THEY POSSIBLY SAY THAT MY VEHICLE IS SAFE?!?! I WANT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND DETERMINE WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE. TAKATA INFLATORS OUR LOCAL DEALER IN VACAVILLE CA SAID GM STILL HAS NOT SENT THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG FIX FOR MY VEHICLE. WHEN CAN THEY EXPECT DELIVERY FROM GM. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS YET AND WANT IT FIXED BEFORE WE DO.

TAKATA RECALL CAN NOT GET A GM DEALER IN THE DAYTON OHIO REGION TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG RECALLED SINCE MAY 2016. HAVE CALLED DEALERS A FEW TIMES. LAST CALLED AUGUST 6TH 2019 AND THEY STILL CAN NOT GET IT FIXED.

THE DASH BUSTED AROUND THE AIRBAG AND HAS ALSO CRACKED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WHICH IS PROBABLY CAUSED BY THE AIRBAG. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 5 YEARS AND STILL CAN'T GET THE AIRBAGS REPLACED?????

TAKITA RECALL. I DID A VIN SEARCH AND FOUND THERE HAS BEEN AN OPEN RECALL FOR JUST SHY OF 3 YEARS WITH NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE?
NO REMEDY LISTED FOR THE RECALLED AIR BAGS. SUPPOSE TO BE DONE IN 2017.
DRIVERS SIDE SEATBELT BUCKLE UNLATCHES AT RANDOM TIMES WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED. DRIVING OR STATIONARY MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT WILL NOT LATCH. THERE APPEARS TO BE A PIECE MISSING INSIDE THE BUCKLE.
TAKATA RECALL STARTED VEHICLE ON 2-1-19 AND AFTER TURNING IGNITION ON PASSENGER AIR BAG EXPLODED OUT AND THE SIDE PANELS FOLLOWED. VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN IN A FEW DAYS. IT ALL HAPPENED EXTREMELY FAST BUT I SAW GLOVEBOX BURST OPEN AND SPARKS FLY OUT AND THE AIRBAG SOUNDED LIKE AN EXPLOSION! SCARED TO DEATH! I JUMPED OUT UNSURE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THE SIDE PANEL BAG GRAZED MY FACE! COULD HAVE ENDED BADLY IF HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING.

IN ADDITION, THE STABILITY, ABS, AND TRACTION CONTROL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,416.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the failure was common. The contact stated that the engine was repaired however, the failure persisted. The local dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 230,000.
THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED FROM A DEALER. I WAS TOLD THAT GM DID NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. THESE AIRBAGS ARE KNOWN TO CAUSE HARM AND OR DEATH. I WANT IT TAKEN CARE OF.
MECHANIC ( ASE CERTIFIED) ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINTS , STATED FRAME WAS RUSTED TO THE POINT OF HE WAS UNABLE TO INITIATE THE REPAIR.
ONE OF THE FRAME MOUNTING POINTS FOR THE FRONT SWAY BAR BROKE OFF THE FRAME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING, A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IN ADDITION, THE TRACTION CONTROL, ENGINE, AND STABILITRAK WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND STARTED TO FLICKER. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO MOVE INTO DRIVE. THE CONTACT HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN LOW GEAR TO HIS RESIDENCE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD NOISE WHILE IDLING. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT, DUE TO HARD SHIFTING, IT FAILED TO DRIVE AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
POWER STEERING FLUID IS POURING OUT OF THE TRUCK. MY MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT IT IS COMING FROM THE RACK AND PINION AND THAT THERE IS A TSB ASSOCIATED WITH THIS COMMON PROBLEM. WHEN I CONTACTED GM THEY STATED THAT THE TSB COVERED THE MAKE, BUT THAT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE TSB AND NO FURTHER INFORMATION COULD BE PROVIDED. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL COVERED BY THE TSB.
THE DASH BOARD CRACKED, COUPLE WEEKS LATER ANOTHER CRACK. NOW MY WHOLE DASH HAS CRACKS
THE DASHBOARD COVER IS CRACKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES AROUND THE AIRBAGS AND ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR JS MALFUNCTIONING. IT SHOWS AIR BAG SERVICE NEEDED NO IMPACT WAS MADE THERE. DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S A MALFUNCTION. ONE DAY I GO TO START MY CAR AND THE LIGHT SHOWED IT NEEDS SERVICE.

I WISH TO ADD COMPLAINT FOR THE DASHBOARD CRACK ISSUE NEAR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, AND SUSPECT THE AIRBAG SUPPORT/FUNCTION MAY BE COMPROMISED. I ALSO HAVE RECEIVED MANY 'PAPER CUTS' FROM INSIDE DOOR HANDLES CHROME OVER THE YEARS BUT WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY GM OR OFFERED WARRANTY REPLACEMENT AS YOUR WEBSITE STATES THEY DID - I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE.
This dashboard is literally falling apart on a daily basis. I keep windshield coverings on the windhsield when in the sun. the design is terrible, and the plastic (if you want to call it that) is very brittle almost if it's made of some sort of plant based material. this IS a safety hazard as the pieces that are coming off are sharp, and large. There is also an airbag recall to be completed in which they will absolutely add to the damage of my dash. GM as a company is cowardly in hiding from this issue. you know this should be a recall, and is costing YOUR customers a lot of unnecessary funding to fix an issue that you absolutely are responsible for. do the right thing. WE pay your salaries.
