AT SPEED, MY VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY START JUMPING THEN ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS START TO TURN ON AND OFF AS IF THE VEHICLE WAS TRYING TO TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE STABILLITRACK LIGHT FLASHES AND THE DOOR LOCKS START LOCKING AND UNLOCKING AT A RAPID PACE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! THIS IS OUR FAMILY'S PRIMARY VEHICLE IN WHICH MY WIFE USES MOST OF THE TIME. SHE USUALLY IS ACCOMPANIED BY OUR 2 SMALL CHILDREN. WHEN THE ISSUE ARISES, SHE LOOSES SOME CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. IT IS UNSAFE!
DASH BOARD CRACKED OVERNIGHT IN TWO PLACES. FINE ONE DAY, BROKEN THE NEXT. RIGHT BY THE AIRBAG AREA.
ALL THE SUDDEN THE DASHBOARD STARTED CRACKING IN TWO PLACES. ONE IS ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE OTHER IS BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON THE DASH ALSO. IT WAS JUST IN MY GARAGE. NOT CRACKED ONE DAY AND STARTED CRACKING THE NEXT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE DONE TO THE CAR IT JUST OCCURRED BY ITSELF.
THE VEHICLE HAS A CRACKED DASHBOARD WHICH CAN BE A SAFETY FEATURE FOR THE AIR BAGS ETC. GMC KNOWS THEY HAVE AN ISSUE BUT WON'T RECALL IT.
DASH IS CRACKED IN 2 SPOTS, AROUND AIR BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE AND OVER INSTRUMENT PANEL ON DRIVERS SIDE
UPPER DASH AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAG IS CRACKED, APPARENTLY FROM ONLINE INFORMATION A COMMON AND WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. CRACK IN DASH IS A SAFETY CONCERN IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS. POSSIBLE FRAGMENTS FROM DASH WILL INJURE PASSENGERS OR OTHERS IN VEHICLE SHOULD AIRBAG DEPLOY
I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AND CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER, HANDY DEALERSHIP IN SAINT ALBANS, VT WHO INFORMED ME THAT THERE WERE NO REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS FOR MY VEHICLE AND THAT THEY COULD DO NOTHING FOR ME. RECALL FOR PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ISSUED MAY 27, 2016. SAFETY RISK IS HIGHER AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE TO HOT AND HUMID REGIONS. I LIVE IN ST PETERSBURG, FL. HOW MUCH LONGER TO I HAVE TO RISK THE LIVES OF MY PASSENGERS? WHEN WILL GM FIX THIS?
GOT IN MY VEHICLE TODAY AND CRANKED IT AND HEARD A NOISE, DIDN'T HEAR IT AGAIN, SO I BACKED UP AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND STARTED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT, AND HEARD THIS RATTLING NOISE AND LOOKED UP AND MY DASHBOARD HAD CRACKED AND THE ENTIRE MIDDLE SECTION WAS MOVING UP AND DOWN AS THE VEHICLE MOVED. I TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE GMC DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO CHECK, AND YES HE SAID IT HAD CRACKED AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED, COST APPROXIMATELY $800. I HAVE NOT HEARD OF A DASHBOARD ON A CAR CRACKING IN MANY YEARS. I THOUGHT TECHNOLOGY WAS TO A POINT THAT THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN ANY MORE. THEN I SEE ON LINE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE YUKON DENALI'S AND OTHER GM PRODUCTS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SOUNDS LIKE A MATERIAL DEFECT TO ME. THIS CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AS IT IS DISTRACTING, YOU ARE TRYING TO DRIVE AND YOU HEAR THIS SQUEAKING NOISE AND THE DASH IS MOVING UP AND DOWN RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES. ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
DASH HAS 2 CRACKS. TOOK IT TO AN UPHOLSTERER LAST YEAR TO TRY TO STOP THE CRACK AND IT WORKED UNTIL NOW. THE CRACK IS AT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE SECOND CRACK IS AT THE AIR BAG INSET.
THE DASHBOARD CRACK ALL THE WAY ACROSS,OVER THE AIRBAG AND THE TOP OF THE CONTROL PANEL T
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBORD ABRUPTLY FRACTURED. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD FRACTURED ON THE DRIVER SIDE NEAR THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
2010 YUKON DENALI HAS 87,000 WELL BELOW THE AVERAGE AND TWO CRACKS FORMED. ONE ON THE CLUSTER SIDE THE OTHER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NEXT TO THE AIR BAG. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY BE A SAFETY HAZARD IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH THE AIR BAG DEPLOYING AND SEND PARTS OF THE DASH OUT TOWARDS THE OCCUPANTS. MY VEHICLE STAYS IN THE GARAGE WHEN NOT IN USE AND ALSO HAVE THE SUN SHADE FOR IT.
TAKATA RECALL - HERITAGE GMC IN ROCKWALL, TX (75087) STILL DOESN'T HAVE AIRBAGS THAT THEY CAN PUT IN TO REPLACE MINE.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON FOR NO REASON AS STAYED ON.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKING WHERE AIR BAGS ARE IN BOTH SIDES
2010 YUKON XL SLT 4WD WITH 5.3L V8 AT 122,000 MI. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH ON HIGHWAY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THEN CHECK STABILITRACK, THEN ENGINE POWER REDUCED.
I AM CONCERNED ABOUT MY INTERIOR DASH ON MY 2010 GMC YUKON DENALI THAT STARTED A CRACK AT APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES. IT HAS SINCE CRACKED IN OTHER PARTS OF THE DASH NOT CONNECTED TO THE FIRST CRACK. THAT INITIAL CRACK HAS SIGNIFICANTLY GROWN SINCE IT ORIGINATED. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS CRACK, NOW ALMOST A HOLE, FROM TWO CRACK BEING NEXT TO EACH OTHER WILL IMPEDE OR CAUSE A "MISSILE" HAZARD SHOULD THE PASSENGER AIRBAG EVER BE DEPLOYED. IF PICTURES ARE NEEDED I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO PROVIDE THEM. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH GMC CARS, OR SPECIFIACLLY THIS TYPE OF CAR.
MY VEHICLES DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN 2 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. I AM WORRIED ABOUT HOW THIS WILL AFFECT THE AIR BAG BECAUSE IT IS CRACKED AROUND THE LOCATION OF THE AIRBAG. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN IN THE EVENT IF, GOD FORBID, WE ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT.

TAKATA GM RECALL 49151 NOTIFICATION DATED JULY 2016. NO CORRECTIVE ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY GM AND NOW THERE IS A SERIOUS CRACK IN THE DASH WHICH IS A GROWING CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY INVOLVING THE STRUCTURE AND AIR BAG ISSUE. *TR
THERE IS A RECALL AS THE AIRBAGS ARE DANGEROUS AND YOU HAVE NOT AUTHORIZED THE WORK TO BE DONE AND IF STATES YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO DO THE NECESSARY CORRECTION. WHEN CAN THIS RECALL BE CORRECTED ????
DASH BOARD CRACKED INBOARD OF PASSENGER AIRBAG, AND CRACKED ADDITIONALLY ALONG THE GLARE SHIELD ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY SITTING IN DRIVEWAY. CRACKS WERE NOTICED ABOUT 8 AM FOLLOWING A NIGHT WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 50F.
TAKATA RECALL. AIRBAG(S) RECALLED IN MAY AND NO "REMEDY" 5 MONTHS LATER. MY HUSBAND DIED FROM A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG AND I AM EXTREMELY ANXIOUS OVER CONTINUING TO RIDE IN MY VEHICLE FOR FEAR I MAY TOO DIE OR HAVE SERIOUS INJURY. I WANT THIS DEFAULT FIXED ASAP. IT IS A DAILY STRESS IN MY LIFE.
TAKATA RECALL - NOT ONLY AM I UNDER THE RECALL FOR MY AIRBAGS THAT THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT THERE IS NOT A FIX FOR YET ON MY CAR, BUT NOW I WALK IN TO THE GARAGE TODAY AND MY DASH BOARD HAS CRACKED AROUND THE AIRBAG AND UP OVER THE DRIVERS SIDE CONTROLS. HOW DANGEROUS IS THIS NOW THAT THE DASH HAS CRACKED, I HAVE A CRAP AIR BAG AND NOW I'M SERIOUSLY THINKING MY FAMILY IS AT RISK ON THIS SHOULD WE GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN A COMPLAINT LAST YEAR WITH NO RESPONSE. SINCE MY COMPLAINT OF THE CRACK I HAVE ON THE DRIVER SIDE IT IS NOW A HOLE. IT IS EXPOSING ALL DASH WIRES AND IS VERY, VERY SHARP. THIS IS VERY HAZARDOUS AS THE TEMPS OUTSIDE CAN MELT THE WIRES AND THE DASH CAN CUT YOUR HAND!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT GMC MADE PLASTIC DASH'S TO HOLD UP IN ALL TEMP'S WHEN WE ALL KNOW THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE. THE HOLE IS VERY VISIBLE AND IS MORE THAN 4 INCHES WIDE!!!
CRACK APPEARED NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DASHBOARD AREA. SIMILAR TO COMPLAINTS BY SO MANY OTHER DRIVERS.
I HAVE TRIED FOR OVER A YEAR TO HAVE THE AIRBAG SERVICED, NO DEALERSHIP HAS THE INFORMATION OR EQUIPMENT. DASH HAS EVEN CRACKED FROM THIS AIRBAG.
DASH BOARD CRACKING IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES. ONE OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND 1 AROUND THE AIRBAG OPENING.
THE DASH IS CRACKED NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. IT CRACKED AGAIN ON THE PART THAT IS OVER THE GAUGE CLUSTER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE SECOND CRACK IS ABOUT 5 INCHES LONG, CAUSING THE WHOLE DASH TO VIBRATE WHILE DRIVING. I EPOXY'D THE CRACK SO IT WOULDN'T CONTINUE TO SPREAD, CAUSING THE DASH TO BECOME MORE UNSTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GMC'S HANDLING OF THIS RECALL. I JUST SPOKE WITH A SUPERVISOR AT CUST RELATIONS AND WAS TOLD "YOUR VEHICLE IS SAFE". IF THAT IS TRUE, WHY IS IT ON THE RECALL LIST. OTHER MANUFACTURERS (LEXUS, TOYOTA, ETC) ARE MAKING ACCOMODATIONS FOR CUSTOMER AND GMC IS REFUSING TO DO SO. TO DATE, 10 DEATHS HAVE OCCURRED. I DO NOT FEEL MY CARE IS "SAFE" AND MY OPINION OF GMC HAS SANK TO A BOTTOM LOW. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER GMC VEHICLE EVER AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND THAT ISSUES SUCH AS THIS CAN ARISE, BUT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT TO TAKE ON THE LIABILITY OF DECLARING MY VEHICLE TO BE SAFE IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING. FURTHERMORE, THEY ARE UNABLE TO OFFER ANY KIND OF TIMELINE FOR WHEN THEY EXPECT THIS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. MY CASE NUMBER IS 8-2356073531. A REPRESENTATIVE AND HER SUPERVISOR BOTH CLEARLY STATED THAT MY VEHICLE IS SAFE. I AM CERTAIN THAT THEY CANNOT MAKE THOSE STATEMENTS WITH 100% CERTAINTY; THEREFORE, THEY HAVE OPENED THE COMPANY UP TO EVEN GREATER LIABILITY. GMC IS NO LONGER A COMPANY THAT I TRUST.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS) FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER INFLATOR; HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THEY WERE CURRENTLY CONDUCTING TESTS REGARDING THE VEHICLE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD RECEIVE A SECONDARY LETTER AROUND AUGUST OF 2017. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: IT HAS BEEN ONE YEAR SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED AND STILL GM HAS NO REMEDY.
TAKA RECALL 7/6/16, TO DATE NO PART TO RESOLVE. OVER ONE YEAR AND GMC HAS NO PART TO FIX THE RECALL. CALLED 11/21/2017 AND NO PART AVAILABLE.
7/2/16 WE CLEANED OUR YUKON GETTING READY FOR THE BEACH AND NOTICED A NEW CRACK ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IN THE DASH WITH SHARP EDGES WHICH IF A CRASH HAPPENED COULD SEND PROTRUDING OBJECTS TOWARDS THE DRIVER POSSIBLY INJURING THE DRIVER AND PUNCTURING THE AIR BAG CAUSING IT TO MALFUNCTION. WE ONLY DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ON WEEKENDS AND ON VACATION. IT IS GARAGED AT ALL TIMES. IT IS BABIED!! THIS JUST HAPPENED. A VEHICLE OF THIS EXPENSE SHOULD HAVE A STURDIER MADE DASH AND IT SHOULDN'T CRACK WITHOUT A CRASH OR HIT LIKE A WRECK! AS I WAS DOING RESEARCH THIS IS NOT A NEW ISSUE GMC HAS AND THEIR ARE MANY VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN RECALLED YET? ARE THEY WAITING ON AN INJURY OR DEATH? THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ FROM OTHERS PIECES CONTINUE TO FALL OUT AND EXPOSES MECHANICAL PARTS UNDNERNEATH THE DASH. WE HAVE THE EXTENDED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY BUT HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO TAKE IT TO OUR LOCAL GMC AND I HEAR IT ISN'T COVERED. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND GMC NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. TO PAY 40,000 FOR A VEHICLE IT SHOULDN'T HAVE A CRACKED DASH WITH UNDER 70000 MILES! I HAVE CONTACTED A LAWYER HANDLING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BUT WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT. TV MIGHT BE NEXT. I WAS JUST WASHING THE INSIDE WINDOWS WHEN I NOTICED IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES (1) ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL/STEERING WHEEL, AND (2) AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. CONCERNED ABOUT THE LARGE CRACKED PIECE OF THE DASHBOARD BECOMING DISLODGED IN AN ACCIDENT. ALSO CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND THE SURROUNDING COMPONENTS.

I HAD BEEN REAR ENDED, MY DAUGHTER TOOK MY 2010 YUKON TO THE LOCAL DEALER (FINDLAY) ON MAY 12, 2016, SHE WAS TOLD ACCIDENT DIDN'T CAUSE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD NEED THE TIRE SENSOR CHECKED AT A COST OF $500.00. YESTERDAY (JUNE 8, 2016) COMING HOME FROM WORK, I WAS TURNING OFF THE MAIN HIGHWAY ONTO A RESIDENTIAL STREET (RIVERVIEW) AS I MADE THE TURN THE CARS ABS BRAKE SENSOR LIGHT WENT OFF AND SO DID THE LIGHT AS THOUGH I ON WAS ON ICE, BUT I WAS ON A PAVED ROAD AND SPEED WAS LOW MAYBE 10 MPH, IT WENT OFF ALMOST AS QUICKLY AS IT CAME ON. SO I PROCEEDED, STOP AT A 4 WAY STOP SIGN (RIVERVIEW AND LAKESIDE), WHEN I PROCEEDED ON ALL THE DOOR LOCKS STARTED GOING OFF AND THE POWER AND TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE. I TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET BEFORE THE CAR ENGAGED AND STARTED RUNNING. I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND IF SO ARE THERE ANY RESOLUTIONS AND IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. IN A WEEK I NEED TO TRAVEL 200 MILES TO A DOCTOR AND I'M CONCERNED THAT THIS IS MAJOR.
DASH HAS CRACKS CAUSING CONCERN IF IN THE EVENT WE WERE IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND THE COMPRISED DASH PIECES WERE TO HIT US.

TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS RECALL WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO TRADE MY VEHICLE IN. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A RENTAL CAR FOR MORE THAN 6 WEEKS. I CALLED GM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE AND NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR VEHICLES SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF FIXING THE PROBLEM. NOW I AM STUCK PAYING A PAYMENT ON A CAR THAT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING AND CAN'T TRADE DUE TO THE INCOMPLETE RECALL. THIS RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED SINCE MAY 27, 2016 AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY.
