WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 35 MPH AND 40 MPH STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHERE THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT ALREADY, AND CONSUMER SAW VEHICLE THAT STOPPED IN FRONT OF HIS VEHICLE AND COULDN'T STOP ON TIME. CONSUMER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. *AK
SEATBELT FAILURE
AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER HAS REPLACED AIRBAG, AIRBAG ASSEMBLY AND WIRE HARNESS. BUT, HAS NOT REMEDIED PROBLEM. *AK
CONSUMER WAS IN DRIVEWAY PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE WHEN APPLIED THE BRAKES, AND VEHICLE STARTED TO ACCELERATE, CAUSING IT HIT A TREE AND AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. THE DEPLOYED AIR BAGS CAUSED INJURIES TO THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THINKS THAT THE AIR BAG IS GOING TO DEPLOY. DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL CONSUMERS WHAT THEY CAN OR CANNOT DO TO VEHICLES THAT THE HAVE PAID FOR. THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON, AND THAT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE SAFE. *AK
POWER WINDOWS FAIL TO OPERATE PROPERLY, ESPECIALLY IN COLD WEATHER. DEALER DENIES ANYTHING IS WRONG WITH THE POWER WINDOW SYSTEM.
WHILE DRIVING ON WET OR DRY PAVEMENT THE FRONT BRAKES FAILED, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
ABS SYSTEM LOCKS UP CAUSING VEHICLE TO SKID AND VEER TO THE RIGHT.
APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE, THE SRS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE LIGHT WAS TURNED OFF AND ADJUSTED. THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN BUT COULD NOT BE TURNED OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR A FULL INSPECTION AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM NEEDED REPLACED. CONSUMER FEELS IT IS NOT HER FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. *JG
DESIGN OF THE OIL FILTER (LOCATION) WHICH IS OVER EXHAUST SYSTEM AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER ALLOWS OIL TO BE RELEASED ONTO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHILE CHANGING FILTER. THIS RESULTS IN SMOKE FROM BURNING OFF OF UNIT.
ROAD WATER GOT INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND WAS PICKED UP BY FAN BELT. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER. *AK
VEHICLE STOPPED; CHEROKEE REARENDED ACCORD; WINDOW SHATTERED; ACCORD REARENDED VEHICLE IN FRONT & UPON IMPACT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CSS IN REAR OCCUPIED BUT NOT HURT. VEHICLE TOTALED. *AK
THE STEERING HAS FOR 4 STEMS TO THE CENTRAL SHAFT. THE HORN IS A SMALL BUTTON ON 2 OF THESE STEMS (THE UPPER STEMS WHEN THE STEERING IS NOT TURNED; WHEN THE STEERING IS TURNED, IT IS ANYBODY'S GUESS). CAN'T FIND HORN QUICKLY ENOUGH.
TIRES HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE SINCE CAR WAS PURCHASED. PUT AIR IN THE TIRES AND THEY ARE NOT BALANCED. DEALER CONTACTED, AND STATED VEHICLE NEEDS REPLACEMENT TIRES, WARRANTY STILLS EXISTS. *AK
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING VEHICLE INTO A PARKING LOT WHEN BUMPER HIT THE POLE THAT POSTS HANDICAP SIGNS, VERY SLIGHTLY DENTED THE BUMPER OF VEHICLE. ALSO BOTH AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. CONSUMER WAS WEARING SEAT BELT. ALSO BURNED HER RIGHT ARM AND BROKE HER GLASSES. *AK CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER.*JB
VEHICLE LOST BRAKING ABILITY AND STOPPED BY SCRATCHING THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL TO THE ROAD DIVIDER. THE CAUSE WAS A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER.

WHEN GOING UP A SUBSTANTIAL GRADE (HILL),CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT MAINTAIN SPEED AND DOES NOT DOWNSHIFT THE TRANSMISSION. MANUFACTURER CONTACTED. *AK
CONSUMER WENT TO ADJUST ELECTRICAL DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT, HEARD LOUD NOISE, AND CAUSED THE SEAT TO COME OFF TRACK. SEAT MOVES IN ALL DIRECTIONS WHEN PRESSURE IS APLLIED TO GAS OR BRAKE PEDAL. *AK
DRIVING W/DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT; NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM VENT AREA AND FLAMES NEAR LEG/HANDS AREA; PULLED OFF FWY INTO GAS STATION; FIRE DEPT ARRIVED & PUT OUT FLAMES; FLAMES REAPPEARED & PUT OUT AGAIN; FIRE DEPT SAID IT WAS ELECTRICAL. AT DEALERSHIP, IT WAS 3RD ONE THAT BURNED. *AK
WHEN PUSHING BUTTON TO OPEN OR CLOSE WINDOW, WINDOW GOES REALLY SLOW. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND THEY STATED THEY WOULD CHANGE DRIVER'S SIDE SWITCH. LESS THAN TWO YEARS LATER, WINDOW WAS STARTING TO MOVE SLOWLY AGAIN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AKI
DESIGN: RIGHT FRNT SHOULDER BELT ONLY RETRACTS AFTER IT'S FULLY EXTENDED, BECOMES TIGHTER AND TIGHTER UNIL OCCUPANT IS FORCED TO UNLATCH SEAT BELT. OCCUPANT CONTINUES TO RIDE UNRESTRAINED. *AK

EMISSIONS RECALL ON VEHICLE. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. *TC EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TOT HE DEALER FOR THIS PROBLEM THEY REPLACED THE EVAP CANISTER VENT VALVE. THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE IS CLOSE TO IT'S 150,000 MILE WARRANTY AND IS CONCERNED THAT THE PROBLEM WILL PERSIST AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRES. *NM
CONSUMER SRS LIGHT CAME ON AND AIR CONDITION WAS LEAKING. *TS THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER ABOUT THE AIR BAG LIGHT. SHE MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD TAKE 7-10 DAYS FOR THE PART TO ARRIVE. WHEN THE AC LEAKED THE CARPET, FRONT AND REAR, BECAME SOAKED. *NM
1997 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE WAS NOT APART OF 2002 RECALL BUT HAS A PROBLEM CONCERNING THE IGNITION SWITCH *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE KEY WOULD COME OUT OF THE IGNITION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE OR NEUTRAL. ON ONE OCCASION THE VEHICLE SLIGHTLY ROLLED IN THE PARKING LOT AT WORK AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WAS NOT MUCH OF AN INCLINE, SO NEITHER VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THE DEALER REPLACED A FAULTY IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER. *JB

WHEN SUN VISOR IS OPENED IT BLOCKS THE VISION OF THE DRIVER COMPLETELY DUE TO ITS SIZE AND DESIGN.

THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL STATES THAT INFANT SEAT SHOULD BE PLACED IN REAR CENTER , THIS CONTRADICTS ALL CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSTRUCTIONS, WHEN ARM RESTS ARE PRESENT.
AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WHEN VEHICLE WAS STRUCK IN THE SIDE.

GAS MILEAGE REDUCED AFTER 30000 MILE SERVICE.USED TO GET 30-32 MPG ON HIGHWAY DRIVING 70 MPH. CURRENTLY, GETS 29 MPG ON HIGHWAY AT SAME SPEED.
PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT BELT GETS STUCK. PASSENGER MUST UNBUCKLE SEAT BELT AND RETRACT IT COMPLETELY AND THEN REBUCKLE IT. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WHENEVER A PASSENGER IS IN THE VEHICLE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW.
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES A CLICKING NOISE OCCURS. DEALER SAYS THE BRAKE PADS ARE SHIFTING IN THEIR SOCKETS, CAUSING THE NOISE, WHICH IS NORMAL. *AK
