THE DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THEY WOULD NOT RECONNECT THE ALARM AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED ON THE IGNITION SWITCH.*JB
CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL, HOWEVER THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS A CHARGE TO RECONNECT THE ALARM SYSTEM.*JB
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE FASTER.*JB
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEAT ADJUSTER AND GAS GAUGE PROBLEMS. *AK *JB
THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT SEND THE PARTS FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL 02 V 120 000, TO THE DEALERSHIP UNTIL THE DEFECT HAPPENED.*JB
INTERMITTENT STALLING DUE TO IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE. ALSO REPLACED TRANSMISSION. *AK
THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES THEN HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE FRONT BRAKES HAD BROKEN AND THAT THE CALIPERS WERE VERY BAD. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THEY WOULD ONLY CHECK FOR A PROBLEM AT COST. WOULD NOT REPAIR. *NLM
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES DUE TO DETERIORATION. THE TRUNK LATCH, TIMING BELT, BALANCER BELT, AND THE POWER DOOR ACTUATOR WERE REPLACED, THE PARKING BRAKE WAS ADJUSTED, THE ARE REST AND AXLE SEAL WAS REPLACED, THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT, AND THE WINDOWS RATTLED. *PH *JB
THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO HONOR THE RECALL REGARDING THE IGNITION SWITCH 02 V 120 000 BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD A SALVAGED TITLE. *JB
THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL (#02V120000) PERFORMED. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONSUMER THAT THE DEALER WOULD CHARGE LABOR BECAUSE IT WAS NECESSARY TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL THE VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A MANUFACTURER INSTALLED SYSTEM. *MR *SCC *NLM
PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE'S EMISSIONS SYSTEM. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES. *MR PH
DELAY IN ACCELERATION WHEN ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED. *MR THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A SHORT DELAY WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS PRESSED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD UPON ACCELERATION AND THE VEHICLE BECAME NOTICEABLY LOUDER WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. THE TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSIONS COMPONENT APPEARED TO BE USED OR REMANUFACTURED. *PH *NLM
WHILE DRIVING 50 TO 60 MPH THE VEHICLES ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHICH RESULTED IN LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH, BUT THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *NLM *CB *JB

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME DEFECT WITH IT'S IGNITION SWITCH AS STATED IN RECALL 02 V 120 000, BUT VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED. *PH
THE VEHICLE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION. HONDA ISSUED A RECALL WHICH ONLY AFFECTED HONDA ACCORD WITH A V6 ENGINE, 2000 TO 2001, AND THE CONSUMER STATED HIS VEHICLE ALSO EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS FROM THE RECALL BUT HONDA WILL NOT EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON THE HONDA 1999 ACCORDS . *AK *CB IT COST $4000.00 FOR A RECONDITION TRANSMISSION, THE CONSUMER REQUESTED THAT HONDA REIMBURSE HIM FOR THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. *JB
WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS PRESSED VEHICLE HESITATES AND JUMPS. TOOK VEHICLETO DEALER, DEALER SAID, " THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO THE VEHICLE UNTIL ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED". *AK
PROBLEMS GETTING STARTER RECALL REPAIRS COMPLETE.*MR THE STARTER WAS RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TOT HE DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT. WHEN THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE WORK WAS NOT DONE BECAUSE SOMETHING CAME UP. AFTER THE CONSUMER LEFT THE DEALER THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY COULD NOT DO THE RECALL BECAUSE THE CONSUMER INSTALLED A NON-HONDA ALARM ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER AGREED TO BE RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG AND GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO DO THE WORK BUT THEY SAID NO. *NLM
DEFECTIVE ALTERNATOR CAUSED VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER WHEN DRIVING. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO DEALER, BUT PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED. *AK

FILE FOLLOW UP REGARDING A COMPLIANT THAT WAS FILED IN REFERENCE TO A 1999 HONDA ACCORD IGNITION SWITCH RECALL.*MR WHEN THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED THEY REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE RECALL STATING THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT, THE CONSUMER THEN TOLD THE DEALER IT WAS A NATIONAL RECALL, THE DEALER THEN STATED THE VEHICLE HAD A SALVAGED TITLE, THE CONSUMER SHOWED THE DEALER THE TITLE AND THEN THE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD NOT RECONIZE THE RECALL. *CB *JB

WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILED. CONSUMER STATED THAT MANY 1999 HONDA ACCORDS HAD TRANSMISSION FAILURES AT 60000 MILES. *AK
ENGINE CHECK LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP. BUT, DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE IGNITION AND STALLING PROBLEMS IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT A FEW DAYS AFTER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *LA AS THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE DIED. THE IGNITION WOULD STALL INTERMITTENTLY. *SC *JB
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT GAS PEDAL PROBLEM. IT DOES NOT MOVE AS FREELY AS IT SHOULD. CONSUMER HAS TO STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL VERY HARD TO GET THE VEHICLE GOING WHEN MOVING FROM A START POSITION. . THIS OCCURS ONLY AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE. *AK
AUTOMATIC SWITCH WAS DISCONNECTED AFTER IGNITION REPAIRS, WHICH LED TO INABILITY TO TURN ON HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONER. *LA *MR
RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON IGNITION INTERLOCK PROBLEM. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR WHICH INCLUDED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IGNITION KEY AS STATED ON THE RECALL, BECAUSE THE KEYS WERE WORN, BUT DEALER ADVISED CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO INCUR THE COST OF THE KEYS AT $40.00. *LA *JB
WHEN BRAKING VEHICLE TREMBLED AND STALLED WHILE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER STALLING. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING TRANSMISSION GOES IN AND OUT OF GEAR. ALSO, WHEN DRIVING DOWN HILL OR ON A BUMPY ROAD VEHICLE WILL LUNGE FORWARD INVOLUNTARILY. *AK

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD, AND STALLED THREE TIMES. ENGINE CHECK WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. STARTER WAS REPLACED, AND THE DEALER PERFORMED A VALVE JOB. ALSO, DEALER RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH A REBUILT TRANSMISSION. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT AN IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM. CONSUMER COULD EXTRACT THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN PARK. CURRENTLY, A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THIS DEFECT, BUT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO VIN. *AK
