BOUGHT CAR 12-31-1999. IN 2001, SIGNIFICANT "WARBLING"/SHAKING OF STEERING COLUMN WHEN BRAKING, AT HIGHER SPEEDS, TO THE POINT STOPPING WAS BECOMING PRECARIOUS. DEALER SAID ROTORS HAD WARPED, MOST LIKELY BECAUSE I HIT THE BRAKES HARD DURING WET CONDITIONS, GETTING ROTORS WET, AND CAUSING THE WARPING. ROTORS WERE TURNED. "PULSING" OF BRAKES STARTED AGAIN IN NEAR FUTURE; DEALER SAID THEY FIXED AT NO CHARGE WHEN DOING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. PROBLEM RECURRED AGAIN. DEALER SAID COULDN'T TURN ROTORS AGAIN, AND NEEDED TO REPLACE THEM AND PADS (JULY 2004). I COMPLAINED; MECHANIC ACKNOWLEDGED WHEN ASKED DIRECTLY THAT HE HAD SEEN MORE PROBLEMS WITH THIS YEAR/MODEL OF HONDA. I PAID FOR REPLACEMENT. AGAIN, NOVEMBER, 2004 PULSING STARTED. DEALER DID BREAK INSPECTION (FOR $19.95); IT WAS OBVIOUS THEY WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE ISSUE - THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE WARPING WAS RECURRING - ON THE REPLACEMENT ROTOR. I DISCLOSED FINDING OTHER COMPLAINTS ON NHTSA WEB SITE; SERVICE MANAGER ASKED IF I HAD TALKED TO HONDA - IF HONDA AGREED TO COVER IT, THEY COULD DO THE WORK. PROBLEM IS, COVER WHAT? THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO THIS SPECIFIC BRAKING SYSTEM. THIS CAR IS THE 6TH HONDA MY SPOUSE AND I HAVE PURCHASED. UNFORTUNATELY, IT MAY WELL BE THE LAST. *AK
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL LOCKED UP INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS ALMOST CAUSED CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN CONSUMER HAD TO APPLY THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HARDER THEN NORMAL. VEHICLE ACCELERATED AT A HIGH SPEED AND LURCHED FORWARD. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, AND DEALER LUBRICATED THE LINKAGE THE FIRST TIME, AND REPLACED THE ACCELERATOR THROTTLE ASSEMBLY THE SECOND TIME, BUT PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE CAUSE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB
CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE FRONT. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE BRAKES PADS AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IN 6 MONTHS THAT I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN MY 2000 HONDA ACCORD SE. THERE IS 83,000 MILES ON IT THIS TIME AND APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES ON IT THE FIRST TIME.*AK
AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A WHILE, THE VEHICLE HAS A PROBLEM WITH RESTARTING. VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE FOR A WHILE AND YOU NEED TO APPLY THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO THE FLOOR BEFORE STARTING. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO TWO SEPARATE DEALERS. THE FIRST DEALER REPLACED THE ERG VALVE. AND THE PROBLEM RECURRED AND THE SECOND DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR KIT AND THE PROBLEM STILL RECURRING. *NM. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUES TO APPEAR ON DASHBOARD. INTERMITTENT STALLING. DEALER REMOVED AND REPLACED EGR VALVE/REMOVED INTAKE MANIFOLD AND CLEANED PORTS. *AK
ENGINE WILL FIRE AND THEN IMMEDIATLY STALL IF ENGINE IS ALREADY WARM. OTHERWISE IT WILL RUN FINE. A TROUBLE CODE WAS TAKEN FROM THE COMPUTER (P1399) WHICH HONDA TELLS ME DOES NOT EXIST FOR A 2000 ACCORD. ANOTHER HONDA REP TOLD ME THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR DOES NOT READ WELL WITH "WINTER FUELS" IN WARMER (50-60F) WEATHER. THE WARRANTEE ON THIS PART ONLY GOES TO 80,000 MILES.
CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE AIR BAG CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS INFORMATION WAS PROVIDE BY MARSHA SISNEROS.*AK
MY 2000 HONDA ACCORD HAS ITS SRS LIGHTS ON AGAIN AND WILL NOT GO OFF. I BROUGHT IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO PUT THE CAR ON THE COMPUTER AND SAID "THERES A MALFUNCTION IN MY AIRBAGS, I HAVE TO GO TO HONDA" ($40.00). I BROUGHT THE CAR TO HONDA THAT SAME MORNING (9:30 AM), INFORMED THEM ABOUT MY MECHANIC'S RESPONSE & THAT I COMMUTE A DISTANCE AND DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR, SO THEY TOOK IT IN. AT 4:30 PM, THEY DECIDED TO PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER AND WOW...THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY AIR BAG SYSTEM ($94.61). NO ACCIDENTS, NOTHING - IT JUST CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING. HONDA TOLD ME "NOT TO WORRY, THAT MY AIRBAG ISN'T JUST GOING TO GO OFF AS I DRIVE DOWN THE HIGHWAY.....IT JUST WON'T GO OFF IF YOU CRASH". REAL SAFETY FEATURE OF THE CAR. MY DIAGNOSIS: CODE 9-3...DRIVERS SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILURE (ESTIMATED COST TO REPAIR: $287.00 PLUS TAX ON TOP OF THE INITIAL $94.00 I JUST GAVE THEM). THIS IS 100% A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE HONDAS RESPONSIBILITY. HOW CAN I BE CERTAIN THAT THEY HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN BROKEN? THIS IS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND I AM APPALLED AT HONDA'S IGNORANCE TO THIS MATTER. *AK
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. DEALERSHIP DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST IN WHICH THE OPDS UNIT FAILED. THIS RENDERED THE AIR BAG AS INOPERATIVE. THE OPDS UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED.*AK
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS HIT ON THE FRONT LEFT FENDER AT ABOUT 15 MPH. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.*AK *JB
SRS SENSOR LIGHT ON. *BF THIS WAS A RECURRING PROBLEM. (INTERNAL UNIT FAILURE) *SC *JB
PURCHASED NEW 2000 ACCORD EX V-6, 4 DR-REPLACED TRANSMISSION AT 10,000 MILES, THEN AGAIN AROUND 55,000 MILES. NOW ON THIRD TRANSMISSION AND WONDERING HOW LONG THIS ONE WILL LAST. ALSO, NOW THE SRS LIGHT IS ON AND THEY SAY THE SEAT BELT HAS TO REPLACED, AS WELL AS NOW THE ALTERNATOR AND TENSIONER ARE BEING REPALCED ($600 JOB!). BASED ON SOME OTHER COMPLAINTS, IT SEEMS THE TWO ARE RELATED, AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR PROBLEMS BEING A RESULT OF THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS.
WHILE DRIVING THE KEY COULD BE REMOVED FROM THIS VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS IN GEAR . CONSUMER WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECENT HONDA IGNITION RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. IT WOULD "CHOKE" WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS PRESSED OR WHEN CAR WAS IN GEAR SHIFT CHANGE. THE CAR WOULD JERK A SIGNIFICANT DISTANCE, ALMOST TO THE POINT WHERE IT COULD HAVE HIT ANOTHER CAR. IT STALLED OFTEN, ESPECIALLY AFTER BEING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WAITING FOR IT TO CHANGE. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE CAR IN FOR A DIAGNOSIS AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A TRANSMISSION DEFECT AND THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. I THEN CALLED THE AMERICAN HONDA SERVICE CONTRACT CORPORATION TO SEE WHAT STEPS NEEDED TO TAKE PLACE IN ORDER TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. I CONTACTED A LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP TO SET UP REPAIR. I AM CURRENTLY IN WAIT ON THEIR DECISION AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL REPAIR IT. I HAVE FULL COVERAGE UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. *NM
THE SRS AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AT APPROXIMATELY 69,000 MI.THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND NO FAULT CODES WERE FOUND ON THE COMPUTER. I HAD THE DELPHI ALTERNATOR LOAD TESTED AND DETERMINED THAT COULD BE THE CULPRIT. DURING THIS TIME, I ALSO HAD BOTH OF MY HEADLAMPS BURNED OUT WITHIN WEEKS OF EACH OTHER. I REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR WITH AN AFTERMARKET ONE AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE. *AK
UPON TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF, THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO TURN AND REMOVE THE KEY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO ROLL FORWARD WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE CONSUMER WAS OUT OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE SHE NOTICED THE CAR WAS ROLLING. *JB
WHEN TRAVELING THE RED SRS DASHBOARD LIGHT WENT ON. WHEN WE RETURNED AND TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC WHO HAS SERVICED THIS VERHICLE, HE SAID THAT HE HAD RECEIVED A SAFETY NOTICE REGARDING THIS MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. THE AIR BAG CONTROLLER WAS DEFECTIVE AND THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR IT, STATING IT WAS PAST THE WARRANTY. THE AUTO IS A 2000 HONDA ACCORD 4 DOOR SEDAN. MY MECHANIC SAID WHEN THIS LIGHT IS ON THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT FUNCTION--WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS, AND HE RECOMMENDED THAT I CONTACT THE DOT. WE HAD TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED, AT A COST OF $625.00. *AK
AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON, AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE AIR BAG COVERAGE.*AK
WHILE DRIVING SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
THE VEHICLE'S HAS HAD MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION FAILURES. *NM THE VEHICLES ENGINE REVVED ETWEEN 4000 TO 5000 RPM BEFORE THE CONSUMER NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING FORWARD. ONCE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED INTO GEAR THE CONSUMER WAS WHIP-LASHED AND BODY SLAMMED INTO MY SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE DRIVER SEAT HAS A SUDDEN SHIFT MOVEMENT WHILE THE CONSUMER DRIVES THAT OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AS VEHICLE ROUNDS SHARP CORNERS AND TURNS. IN SEP 2003 SENT A NOTICE ABOUT A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS SEAT LOOSENING. THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THE SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE CONSUMER HAS SOMETHING ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION. THE CONSUMER HEARS A RATTLE IN THE DASH NEAR THE COIN DRAWER. *TC
THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. *AK (SRS LIGHT) WAS DEFECTIVE. *SC *JB
WHILE USING THE REMOTE CONTROL AND MANUAL TO OPENED THE DOOR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH FAILED. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO ENTER OR EXIST ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC INFORMED CONSUMER THAT WARRANTY EXPIRED. CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. *AK
CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A GARAGE FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE CONTROL MODULE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. THIS INFORMATION WAS PROVIDE BY KAREN'S HUSBAND DEAN. *JB
THE SRS LIGHT IS ON FOR THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT STAYS ON. THE CONSUMER HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND DISCOVERED THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICES BULLETIN FOR THE VEHICLE. NHTSA TSB 404. *NM
THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON . CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED. LATER, CONSUMER HAD HER SON DRIVE AND UNINTENTIONALLY AIR BAG DEPLOYED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, AND HAD THE VEHICLE PUT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT SOME GRAVEL OR WATER MAY HAVE CAUSED THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT HIT TO CAUSE THE AIR BAG TO DEPLOY. *AK
I BOUGHT A HONDA ACCORD LX 2000 IN 2004 WITH 46 K ON IT. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE WHY IT WAS ON. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS BECAUSE MY AIRBAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. NOT ABLE TO BEAR THE EXPENSE OF REPAIR, I HAVE DRIVEN IT AS IS & THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS ALMOST 87,000. *TR
PREMATURE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE AS EXHIBITED BY WHINING NOISE COMING FROM THE UNIT. DEALER ACKNOWLEDGES THIS NOISE WILL LEAD TO POWER STEERING FAILURE, THAT THE FAILURE (AT 60000 MILES IN THIS CASE) IS PREMATURE, AND THAT THERE IS AN APPARENT PATTERN OF SUCH FAILURES IN HONDA ACCORD CARS. THE DEALER REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING AND SAID THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM IN SPITE OF ITS SAFETY IMPLICATIONS AND THE APPARENT PATTERN OF FAILURES.
AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. EACH OCCASION THE LIGHT WOULD COME BACK ON EVERY 7,000 MILES. CURRENTLY, THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. *AK *JB
SRS SENSOR LIGHT STAYS CONTINUED TO COME ON. THE PARTWAS RESET TWICE. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. *AK
THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT BROKE FROM TRACK AND CAUSED DRIVER TO MOVE FREELY EVEN WITH SEAT BELT ON. THIS OCCURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 54K ON MY ACCORD. IT BROKE WHEN MY FATHER (200 LBS) REACHED IN HIS FRONT POCKET TO RETRIEVE HIS WALLET. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND THEY REMOVED SEAT AND HAD TO WELD SEAT BACK. I HAVE SEEN OTHER ACCORD OWNERS WITH SIMILAR SEAT MALFUNCTION AND THE POTENTIAL INJURY THIS COULD CAUSE IF IN A COLLISION TO DRIVER. THE SEAT SHOULD NOT BREAK SO EASILY AND WITH ONLY 54K ON VEHICLE EITHER. *NM

WHILE DRIVING, THE SRS LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE PART THAT WAS NEEDED HAD NOT ARRIVED AT THIS TIME. *AK THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL# 02V080000. THERE WAS A FAULTY SWITCH IN THE LEFT SEAT BELT BUCKLE. *SC *JB

THE VEHICLE IS SHOWING SIGNS OF THE FAILURE DESCRIBED IN THE AIR BAG MODULE RECALL 02V080000, BUT THE VIN NUMBER ISN'T INCLUDED. *LA UPDATED 1/25/2006 - *NM
CHRONIC PROBLEM WITH SRS WARNING LIGHT. FIXED ONCE BY HONDA DEALER UNDER WARRANTY. PROBLEM REOCCURED WHEN VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY. NO APPARENT REASON FOR PROBLEM, NO ACCIDENTS, NOTHING I DID. AUTO WOULD NOT PASS STATE INSPECTION WITH SRS LIGHT ON, SO FIXED AGAIN ($500 REPAIR BILL) AT ACURA DEALER THAT SOLD CAR TO ME. PROBLEM REOCCURED AFTER 3 MONTHS, WENT AWAY BY ITSELF AFTER 3 DAYS, THEN REOCCURED AGAIN AT 4 MONTHS AFTER REPAIR. TALKED TO SEVERAL OTHER HONDA OWNERS AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AND POSSIBLE LATENT DEFECT IN MANUFACTURER'S PRODUCT. *AK
THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING SEIZED UP AND WORE DOWN THE SPINDLE. THIS RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE PULLING TO THE LEFT WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING AND SPINDLE, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED.*AK

VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH 2000 HONDA ACCORD. *MR THE ALTERNATOR FAILED, THE EGR VALVE FAILED, THE SRS LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK PANEL HAD FALLEN DUE TO S DEFECTIVE PLASTIC ANCHOR PIN, THE A/C STOPPED WORKING, AND THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR SEAL AT THE BOTTOM WAS FALLING OFF. *SC *JB
ALTERNATOR FAILURE. DRIVING 60 MPH ALTERNATOR FAILED ALONG WITH BATTERY. VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AT 60 MPH AT NIGHT IN THE DESERT. VEHICLE ALMOST CAUSED MAJOR ACCIDENT. ALTERNATOR REPLACED THREE TIMES ALREADY. POSSIBLE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG ISSUE.*AK
MY HONDA ACCORD 2000, V6 ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND THE LIGHTS USED TO ALWAYS COME ON AND OFF. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINED AND GOT NOWHERE WHERE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. NO THE AFTER THE WARRANTY IS OUT THE LIGHT IS TURNED RED. I UNDERSTAND THAT HONDA HAS RECALLED SOME OF THE AIRBAGS BUT WHEN I GAVE THE CAR DEALER MY VIN NUMBER I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL WAS FOR CARS MANUFACTURED AFTER MY CAR. *JB

THE DIMMER SWITCH AND INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT GO OFF WHILE DRIVING. MANUFACTURER STATED THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL 04V256000 DUE TO VIN. *AK *NM
TIRES DEVELOPED CRACKS IN SIDEWALL. THE FIRST TIME WE THOUGHT WE RAN OVER SOMETHING AND IT WAS CUT. REPLACED IT OUR COST.. SECOND TIRE COMPLETELY SHREDDED. TOOK TIRES OFF CAR AND FOUND OTHER TIRES WITH CRACKS IN SIDEWALLS BUT STILL HOLDING AIR. STILL HAVE TIRES 4 OF 5 TIRES. *NM
WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB

MY 2000 HONDA ACCORD EX HAS 60,000 MILES. A WEEK AND A HALF AGO, THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAGS. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THE LIGHT IS STILL ILLUMINATED, WHICH IS BOTHERSOME SINCE I'M DRIVING AROUND WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS. THERE APPARENTLY ARE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE WAS EVEN A RECALL ISSUED FOR CARS OF MY MAKE AND MODEL THAT YEAR FOR THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER, WHEN I CALLED HONDA TODAY, THEY SAID THAT MY CAR ISN'T INCLUDED IN THIS. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO GET THIS CORRECTED AND BELIEVE HONDA SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SINCE THIS SEEMS TO BE QUITE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH CARS FROM MY YEAR. I HAVE HAD NO RECENT IMPACTS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE CAR TO HAVE SUCH PROBLEMS. IT IS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD.*AK
