ACCELERATOR PEDAL (GAS PEDAL) "STICKS" WHEN STARTING THE CAR IN THE MORNING OR AFTER PERIODS WHEN THE CAR IS NOT USED. EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF FOOT FORCE NEEDS TO APPLIED WHICH RESULTS IN HIGH RPM (AND QUICK JERK FROM STOP IF CAR IS IN DRIVE) AFTER PEDAL DEPRESSES. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED, THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE AND DID NOT REFER US TO ANY OTHER SOURCE FOR WARRANTY HELP. *AK
I HAVE TAKEN MY HONDA INTO THE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES BECAUSE THE SRS LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. THE THIRD VISIT TO THE SERVICE DEALER, THEY DETECTED THAT THE SENSOR WAS MALFUNCTIONING AND A REPLACEMENT PART WOULD BE ORDERED. ONE MONTH LATER, THE PART ARRIVED, WAS INSTALLED, AND THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. UPON MY RETURN, THE SERVICE DEALER (CLAIR HONDA) INFORMED ME THAT THE HONDA TECH LINE SAID THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, INSTRUCTED THE SERVICE DEALER TO RESET THE LIGHT AND TOLD THE DEALER THAT A REPLACEMENT PART MAY BE READY IN JUNE, AT WHICH TIME HONDA IS PLANNING A RECALL. IN THE MEANTIME MY AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY, AND I WILL HAVE BEEN WITHOUT FUNCTIONING AIRBAGS FOR OVER A YEAR. BEING THAT I DRIVE 25000 MILES A YEAR, I AM VERY UPSET AT THE LACK OF RESPONSE FROM HONDA. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR ITS SAFETY FEATURES AND AM DISAPPOINTED THAT HONDA WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS.*AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINS OF A DESIGN FLAW CONCERNING THE DIMENSION OF THE WHEELS, THE WALL PROTRUDES OUT FURTHER THAN THE WALL OF THE TIRES, WHEN PARALLEL PARKING OR SIMPLY PULLING UP TO A CURB, THE WHEEL MAKES INITIAL CONTACT WITH A CURB, THE IMPACT IS ABSORBED BY THE WHEEL WHICH HAS CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE OF THE WHEEL. *JG *SLC
ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCAISIONS, THE SRS LIGHT (AIR BAG) GOES ON. IT REMAINS ON. EACH TIME, WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THREE DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERSHIP. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY FIX IT. WITHIN A FEW DAYS, THE LIGHT GOES ON AGAIN. IT IS NOW IN A HONDA SHOP IN ORLANDO. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD HER THAT SOME HONDAS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. HE TOLD HER THAT THE AIR BAGS MAY NOT DEPLOY DURING A CRASH. THEREFORE THE CAR HAS NO SAFETY VALUE. THEY ALSO TOLD HER THAT A PALM PILOT, LAPTOP COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE CAN BE USED IN THE FRONT SEAT. HONDA MUST RECALL THESE CARS AND FIX THE AIRBAG OR REPLACE THE CAR. *AK

UPON INSPECTION OF VEHICLE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT OIL PAN WAS LEAKING AT TIMING BELT COVER. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING BALL JOINT WENT OUT, CAUSING VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL TO WHINE. *AK
CONSUMER STATED THE DRIVERS SEATBELT WOULD NO LONGER LOCK INTO PLACE, THE DEALER REPLACED THE LATCH.*JB

ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE OPDS(OCCUPANT POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM) HAS GONE OUT, ALSO THE BATTERY AND BULB IN THE CLOCK WERE INOPERATIVE.*JG
ENGINE HESITATES WHEN PRESSING ACCELERATOR TRAVELING BETWEEN 20-40 MPH. ENGINE PINGS LOSES POWER AFTER CAR SITS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES WHEN AIR TEMP. IS ABOVE 60 DEGREES.*AK
ALL MAKES AND MODELS WITH HALOGEN OR HI INTENSITY HEADLIGHTS ARE UNSAFE FOR ON-OMING DRIVERS OVER 45. THEY HIDE FEATURES WITH A GREAT DEAL OF DANGEROUS DAZZLING FROM LIGHT HITTING "FLOATERS" AND CATARACTS THAT MAY BE FORMING, AND BOUNCING AROUND WITHIN NORMAL, BUT AGING, EYES. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS AGE-RELATED DANGER AND TAKE THEM OFF THE ROAD!*AK
WHEN IN REVERSE CAR MAKES A LOUD "CLUNK" FEELS AS THOUGH CAR RAN OVER SOMETHING. DEALER WAS CONTACTED 3 TIMES - STATES THEY DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING. FIRST TIME THEY SAID THIS WAS "NORMAL". SRS LIGHT HAS ALSO BEEN REPAIRED 2 AND IS CURRENTLY MALFUNCTIONING.*AK

CONSUMER NOTICE WHILE TRAVELING SRS INDICATION LIGHT WAS FLASHING VEHICLE WAS SERVICE BY DEALER TECHNICIAN NOTICE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY DUE TO SRS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT OWNERS COST. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE MORENO VALLEY HONDA AND SPREEN HONDA REGARDING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FINE. MY HUSBAND OWNS A TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP AND HAD TO TELL SPREEN HONDA WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I FINALLY CALLED HONDA'S MAIN OFFICE AND IT TOOK THEM ABOUT A WEEK TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. HOME OFFICE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND REQUESTED THE TRANSMISSION BE REPLACED. SPREEN HONDA HAD THE CAR FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND DID NOT OFFER RENTAL CAR OR REIMBURSEMENT. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND. MY HUSBAND COULD HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT THE CAR WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD AND UNDER WARRANTY WHEN THE PROBLEMS STARTED TO OCCUR. THE BRAKES ARE CONSTANTLY SQUEEKING EVEN AFTER REPLACEMENT. THE MATERIAL ON THE REAR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAS MELTED. PASSENGER SEAT BELTS ARE EXTREMELY TIGHT. THIS 2000 HONDA ACCORD SE HAS BEEN A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. DT

THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED, SLID ON A PIECE OF ICE, AND HIT A SMALL TREE. CONSUMER PUT VEHICLE BACK INTO DRIVE AND TRIED TO GET OUT OF DRIVEWAY HOWEVER VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, BUT HAD NO EFFECT.*AK *JB

VEHICLE WAS TAKING IN FOR A RECALL, UPON PICKING UP VEHICLE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE ALARM WAS NOT WORKING. DEALER REFUSED TO RECONNECT ALARM AFTER RECALL WAS PERFORMED.*AK
CENTURY MODEL # 4463 OLTH, DOM 01/06/02, WHILE PUTTING IN CHILD SEAT, CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE CHILD SEAT WAS NOT STRAIGHT, IT WAS LOP SIDED. TOOK CHILD SEAT TO A LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND THEY STATED THAT SEAT HAS A CRACK IN NEAR THE BELT PATH.*AK
AFTER THE CONSUMER DOWN SHIFTED THE GEAR, IT FELT AS THOUGH THE GEAR WAS IN FOURTH GEAR. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO REVERSE INSTEAD OF FORWARD. *AK *SCC *JB
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED PREMATURE WEAR OF REAR BRAKE PADS.*MR THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY A HIGHLY REPUTABLE HONDA AGENCY THAT HONDA DOES HAVE BRAKE PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF AN INADEQUATE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM WHICH PROBABLY PREMATURELY WEARS OUT THE REAR BRAKE PADS. WHEN THE CONSUMER CONFRONTED ANOTHER SERVICE TECHNICIAN WITH THIS INFORMATION, HE STATED, "WELL, WE DO REPLACE A LOT OF THEM." CONSUMER FELT THE PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCLOSED BEFORE HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. *PH *JB *JB
WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE TRANSMISSION GEAR JUMPED INTO REVERSE, AND THEN CONSUMER HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. INADVERTENTLY AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED IT WAS TOTALED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.*AK
WHILE EXITING THE PARKING SPACE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. CONSUMER TAPPED THE BRAKE, AND THE SPEED INCREASED EVEN MORE. AS A RESULT, DRIVER LOSS CONTROL OF VEHICLE AN HIT A CONCRETE POLL, AND ANOTHER VEHICLE. *AK

THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THE SRS LIGHT WHICH ALERTED THE DRIVER THAT IF THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT THE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY. PROBLEM HAS EXISTED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. *JB *SC *JB

TWO ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER THE ALARM MECHANISM (METAL PIN) FAILED TO ALERT THE CONSUMER THE FRONT BRAKES NEEDED REPLACING. *PH *MR
SINCE THE VEHICLE'S VIN WASN'T ON THE RECALL LIST, THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WHICH EXPERIENCED THE DEFECT OF THE RECALL. *PH THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM. THE DEALER REFUSED TO FIX THE IGNITION PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WOULD BE STARTED THEN DIE OUT IMMEDIATELY. THE CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE IGNITION ON AND OFF FOR ABOUT 10 TEN TIMES BEFORE IT WOULD START AGAIN THEN WOULD HAVE TO STEP ON THE GAS RIGHT AWAY OTHERWISE THE VEHICLE WOULD DIE AGAIN.
