THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V169000 (VISIBILITY). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP, ANOTHER VEHICLE DRIVING AT 40 MPH CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK AND NECK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V370000 (AIR BAGS) AND 15V320000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
THE VEHICLE GETS STUCK IN 2ND GEAR. IT IS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. SOMETIMES AT FREEWAY SPEEDS THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTS SPONTANEOUSLY TO 2ND OR 1ST GEAR AND FEELS LIKE I'VE SUDDENLY AND VIOLENTLY APPLIED BRAKES TO THE CAR. THE SUDDEN STOP AND LURCH OF THE CAR IS VIOLENT AND SUDDEN AND CAUSES MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL MY CAR WON'T ACCELERATE WHEN I HIT THE GAS PEDAL
TORQUE CONVERTER STUCK OFF, P0741, CODE GIVEN. TRANSMISSION REBUILD/ REPLACEMENT REQUIRED FOR CONTINUED USE OF VEHICLE. SERVICE RECORDS SHOW 2ND GEAR OIL JET ADDITION AT 25,500 MILES, AND ALL SUBSEQUENT SERVICING DONE AT MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED INTERVALS, AS INDICATED BY PRINTED SHOP RECEIPTS FROM HONDA DEALERSHIP. AFTER DRAIN AND FILL DONE AFTER FIRST CODE THROWN AT 106,000 MILES, 50 MILES LATER THE SAME P0741 CODE THROWN. LOCAL TRANSMISSION SHOP DID TEARDOWN AND SAID THAT TORQUE CONVERTER SHOWS SIGNS OF OVERHEATING, METAL SHAVINGS IN FLUID, AND SEVERELY WORN AND BROKEN CLUTCH MATERIALS ( I HAVE PICTURES OF SAID DAMAGE).
I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT MY 03 HONDA ACCORD WAS AFFECTED BY THE RECALL, BUT THE SEARCHES SAY THERE IS NO OUTSTANDING RECALL. THEY KEPT CHANGING THE YEARS, STATES W VS WO HUMIDITY, ETC, BUT ALL ACCORD BEFORE AND AFTER MY YEAR WERE AFFECTED, AND I AM CERTAIN THE AIRBAG FIX WAS NEVER DONE BY MY HONDA DEALERSHIP. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AND SEAT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED BRUISING TO THE STOMACH, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THE AIR BAG MANUFACTURER FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.

THE CONTACT CALLED HONDA CITY CHICAGO (4950 S PULASKI RD, CHICAGO, IL, (773) 582-5000) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V220000 (AIR BAGS) TWICE; THEREFORE, THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200,000.
DRIVER SIDE AND RIGHT REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK UPON IMPACT IN A COLLISION.

THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE GUARDRAIL DUE TO THE IMPACT. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR BACK AND NECK INJURIES. THE CONTACT ALSO SUSTAINED SPRAINS AND WHIPLASH TO THE NECK AND UPPER BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL LOT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY CAR HAS AN OPEN RECALL FOR AIRBAGS. I WENT TO LOCAL HONDA DEALER AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX BECAUSE MY PASSENGER AIRBAG HAS DEPLOYED. I'M NOT SURE WHETHER THAT'S REASON THAT THEY WILL NOT FIX THIS AIRBAG FOR THE RECALL? THANKS.
WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYS ON.
TRANSMISSION WAS BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. NEW TRANSMISSION WAS BAD ALSO. WASTED MONEY FOR THE SAME THING MULTIPLE TIMES AND HONDA WILL NOT HELP. THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE SAME EXACT MAKE MODEL AND YEAR. IT IS HARD TO FIND A TRANSMISSION, AND AFTER SEEING THE RECALL AND IT MATCHING BOTH TRANSMISSIONS I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD HAVE TO KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON FAULTY PARTS. ALL THE TRANSMISSIONS FOR THIS VEHICLE HAD RECALLS AND WERE FAULTY. WE WANT HONDA'S HELP TO FIX IT FOR GOOD SINCE NO OTHER MECHANIC CAN FIGURE IT OUT AND WE HAVE SPENT MONEY BACK TO BACK ON THE SAME THING. THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL WAS TERRIBLE FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURES. I FEEL IT IS WRONG TO HAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS BUY TRANSMISSIONS THAT HAVE TO BE THE SAME THAT CAME OUT OF THE VEHICLE, AND WE ARE WASTING ALL OF OUR TIME AND MONEY TO DO SO, BECAUSE ANY TRANSMISSION WE BUY IS ALREADY MESSED UP.

HELLO I NEED TO SUBMIT A NEAR COLLISION INCIDENT CAUSED BY A TRANSMISSION LOCKUP ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. I DON'T KNOW YOUR VIN TRACKING METHODS, BUT YOU HAVE NOT ACCOUNTED FOR ALL OF THEM, PARTICULARLY MINE. REFER TO: NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 04V-176 MFR CAMPAIGN ID: P38 CAMPAIGN DSCRIPTION: 03-04 ACCORD AUTO TRANS RECALL RECALL DATE: 04/13/2014 I'VE JUST HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME IN MY 2003 ACCORD AND CAN PROVIDE PROOF BY SUBMITTING MY TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT RECORDS FROM THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER SERVICE SHOP. I WAS LUCKY THE VEHICLES BEHIND ME WERE ABLE TO AVOID REAR ENDING ME.
TRANSMISSION WAS RECALLED (NHTSA REFERENCE #04V176000) IN 2004 FOR OVER HEATING PROBLEM. THERE WAS NO FOLLOW UP TO SEE IF REPAIRS SPECIFIED IN THE RECALL WERE EFFECTIVE OVER THE EXPECTED LIFE OF THE TRANSMISSION. SYMPTOMS STARTED ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. TRANSMISSION PAUSES BEFORE GOING INTO GEAR. THEN TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND ENGINE REVS. AFTER ONE WEEK, TRANSMISSION QUIT PULLING AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE INTERSTATE. CAR WOULD NOT GET UP TO SPEED AND TRANSMISSION QUIT PULLING ENTIRELY, LEAVING ME STRANDED ON SIDE OF INTERSTATE. TRANSMISSION FLUID BLACK AND BURNT. SOUNDS LIKE GEAR JUMPING TEETH.
'TAKATA RECALL' THE AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING WHICH MAKE IT ALWAYS DISPLAY ON MY DASHBOARD WHEN AM DRIVING.
DRIVING TO WORK ON 8/5/17 AT AROUND 4 AM AND THE PASSENGER SIDE ROOF AND SEAT AIR BAGS WENT OFF FOR NO REASON. TURNED THE CAR AROUND AND TOOK IT HOME TO WHERE IT HAS SET EVERY SINCE. THE ROAD WAS SMOOTH AND I WAS APPROACHING A SET OF RAILROAD TRACKS ON ROUTE 3.

THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AT 866-483-4579 AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO ADVISED THE CONTACT NOT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER UNTIL AN INVESTIGATION WAS DONE. THE MANUFACTURER PROMISED TO CALL THE CONTACT BACK WITHIN 48 HOURS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 88,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TAKATA RECALL WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME (VEHICLE IN MOTION) ON PASEO PADRE BOULEVARD IN FREMONT CALIFORNIA, MY AIRBAGS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED UNEXPECTEDLY AND FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT THAT WOULD TRIGGER AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. I BELIEVE THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOME DEFECTIVE PARTS. I CONTINUE TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITH HONDA AND THEY IGNORE ME.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE SEAT BELTS AND NOT THE AIR BAGS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 89,900.
AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN FASTENING SEAT BELT AND STARTING VEHICLE. IF FASTEN SEAT BELT PRIOR TO STARTING VEHICLE, THE LIGHT STAYS OFF.
I WAS GOING BACK HOME FROM WORK AT 5:50 AM IN THE MORNING IN MY HONDA ACCORD. I LOST CONTROL OVER MY CAR AND HIT SIDE WALK AND A MAIL BOX ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD MY CAR TOPPLED ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS UNDER MY FEET AS THE CAR TOPPLED AND THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WINDOW WAS ON THE TOP OF MY HEAD AS I WAS STANDING IN THE A TOPPLED CAR. TO COME OUT OF THE CAR I REMOVED THE HEAD REST FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT AND STARTED HITTING THE WINDOW GLASS TO BREAK IT WITH METAL PART OF THE HEAD REST. I HIT IT AS HARD POSSIBLE, I BROUGHT THE HEAD REST DOWN TO MY KNEES TO GATHER FORCE, DISTANCE AND SPEED SO THAT THE WINDOW GLASS CAN BE BROKEN AND I CAN COME OUT. I TRIED FOR FEW MINUTES BUT THE WINDOW GLASS DID NOT BREAK. I WANT BRING IT TO THE ATTENTION OF YOU ALL THAT IF A WINDOW GLASS CANNOT BE BROKEN WITH METAL IN CASE OF EMERGENCY IN THE CAR. I HAVE TWO HONDAS 2010 (80000) AND ANOTHER ONE IS 2003 (87000) MILES. BOTH HAVE SAME PROBLEM OF A LEAK IN ENGINE OIL. ONE HONDA (2010) HAD A CAMPAIGN SO IT WAS FIXED AS PART OF RECALL. OTHER HONDA (2003) DID NOT HAVE CAMPAIGN SO HONDA IS NOT OFFERING THE FIX FOR MANUFACTURING DEFECT RELATED PROBLEM. THIS DEFECT IS DUE TO THE INCORRECT OIL SEAL USED IN THE HONDA AND THEY ARE NOT FIXING AND CREATING THE RISK FOR DRIVERS.
THE LIGHT OF AIRBAG S ON FROM YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING
UPON SLOWING, TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VIOLENTLY FROM 3 TO 2 AND 2 TO 1. ALSO, UNDER LIGHT OR STEADY THROTTLE, WILL SWITCH BACK AND FORTH FROM 1 TO 2, AGAIN VIOLENTLY (VIOLENTLY DEFINED AS LIKE DUMPING THE CLUTCH IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION). THIS HAPPENS AFTER IT WARMS UP. THE CAR HAS 98.8K MILES ON IT, MAINTAINED AT HONDA THE ENTIRE LIFE OF THE CAR.
WIPER MOTOR IN MY 2 DOOR IS NOT ON RECALL BUT THE 4 DOOR IS. HONDA WILL NOT REPLACE IT EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT THE 4 DOORS HAVE. IT IS DANGEROUS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN A TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR WHEN THE WIPERS QUIT ON YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE ZERO VISIBILITY. I WAS FORCED AGAIN TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON THE WAY HOME IN THE DARK SO THAT I COULD BE SAFER THEN DRIVING. THE RAIN IS COMING DOWN HARD AND FAST AND THE WIPER MOTOR GETS WET THEN SHORTS OUT NO MATTER WHAT SPEED OR WHAT TYPE OF ROAD. THE RECALL IS A SHIELD PLACED ON IT UNLESS IT IS CORRODED ALREADY THEN REPLACED. I WANT SOMETHING DONE. TIRED OF STRESSING OVER ALL THE POOR QUALITY ISSUES HONDA HAS HAD WITH THIS CAR. INCLUDING THE RECALL ON THE RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG I JUST FOUND BECAUSE I CAME TO SEE IF MY WIPER MOTOR HAD FINALLY BEEN RECALLED. THIS WAS AN ISSUE MY SON HAD WHEN HE OWNED THE CAR ALSO. THE MILEAGE ON THIS VEHICLE JUST KEEPS GOING UP AND UP BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR YEARS AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE IT IN FOR REPAIRS AND PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T TRUST WHEN IT WILL NOT WORK AGAIN. PLEASE HELP ME I AM DISABLED AND DON'T HAVE MONEY FOR ALL THIS.

TRANSMISSION RECALL- SECOND OWNER OF 2003 HONDA ACCORD. BOUGHT IT AT 76,000 MILES, NOW AT 95,000 MILES. I'M NIGHT DRIVING AT 75MPH IN THE FAST LANE WITH A CONSTANT FLOW OF TRAFFIC INCLUDING BIG RIGS. NEAR THE END OF A CONSTRUCTION MEDIAN WHICH WAS PLACED PRECISELY ON THE LEFT LINE OF THE LANE, MY CAR JOLTS BACKWARDS AS IF I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES. FREAKED OUT, I THOUGHT MAYBE I RAN SOMETHING OVER. THEN 2 MINUTES LATER MY CAR JOLTS BACKWARDS AGAIN LIKE A FAST EMERGENCY BRAKE. I COULD FEEL MY BODY LOCK AGAINST MY SEATBELT. I SAFELY GET TO THE SHOULDER AND PANIC AS I AM AN HOUR FROM HOME AND I'M IN THE GHETTO. AS I PULL BACK ON TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY MY CAR IS AT A CONSTANT REV OF 5 AND MAKING A LOUD AWFUL MACHINE NOISE. I TRY TO PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IT DOESN'T REVERSE. I TURN IT OFF THEN TRY AGAIN, IT WORKS ONCE THEN DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. I GET TOWED TO HONDA, I SAW HOW THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD A JET KIT INSTALLED BECAUSE OF A 2004 RECALL WHICH STATES IF UNDER 15,000MI INSTALL A JET KIT, IF OVER, EXAMINE THE GEARS AND OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION. REPLACE. BECAUSE OF THIS RECALL WHICH WAS MORE SO A BANDAID OF THE PROBLEM, MY MINT CONDITION CAR IS ALL MONEY BAGS. I DO NOT THINK HONDA WILL DO ANOTHER RECALL OR PAY PARTIALLY FOR THE REPAIR. 95,000 MILES! I READ ON CAR COMPLAINTS HOW MANY PEOPLE HAD THESE SAME ISSUES WITH HONDA AMERICA AND HONDA DEALERSHIPS. USER MANUAL STATES BROADLY: "SEAT BELT LIMITED WARRANTY -- A SEAT BELT THAT FAILS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY IS COVERED FOR THE USEFUL LIFE OF THE CAR." HONDA STATES SUCH LIFETIME WARRANTY PER LAW ALLOWS IT TO LIMIT REPAIRS TO THE BELT STRAP MATERIAL AND THE METAL BUCKLE ONLY, AND LAW DOES NOT EXTEND TO EMBEDDED ELECTRIC CONTROLS WHICH ENGAGE RESTRAINT WHEN BRAKING OR SEND AUDIBLE ALARM TO USER WHEN OPERATING WITHOUT BUCKLE BEING INSERTED.

I'M THE THIRD OWNER OF A 2003 HONDA ACCORD V6 EX COUPE. AT 151000 MILES MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO FAIL. IT WOULD SLAM IT'S WAY FROM 5TH GEAR TO 1ST. LUCKILY NOBODY WAS BEHIND ME. I WAS GOING 60 MPH FROM THE SHELL STATION .5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE, AND SLOWED TO 30 BY THE TIME MY CAR WAS IN 1ST IN A CURVE. I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. COME WEB TO FIND OUT THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD UNRESOLVED PROBLEM THAT IS ENDANGERING EVERYONE IN AND AROUND THESE VEHICLES. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY SAID IN 2004 THE VEHICLE ALREADY HAD THE RECALL PERFORMED, BUT MUCH LIKE THE THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO ENDED UP WITH THIS CAT IT DID NOT FIX THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION AND HONDA KNOWS THAT THE ISSUE STILL EXISTS AND WANTS PEOPLE TO CONTINUE PAYING TO GET THE SAME PROBLEMATIC REBUILT TRANSMISSION. I CAN NOT BELIEVE EVERY ONE OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS HAVEN'T BEEN RECALLED, AND IF NEEDED I WILL PURSUE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST HONDA ESPECIALLY HAVING A 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN A KNOWN ROLLING DEATH TRAP. ONCE IT GETS TO FIRST IT FLASHES D ON THE DASH AND THE CHECK ENGINE COMES ON. MY TCS AND ABS IS ALSO TRIPPED BY THIS ISSUE CAUSING FURTHER RISK OF ENDANGERING OTHER DRIVERS AND MYSELF. WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR STOPPED WORKING. DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 5 IN SEATTLE. DARK AND RAINY, WIPERS JUST STOPPED WORKING. CAR ALREADY HAD A RECALL TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. BUT STILL IT HAPPENED. FAILED RECALL. HAD TO REPLACE MOTOR FOR WINDSHIELD AT DEALERSHIP. I HAVE THE OLD PART. THIS SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO HAPPEN. TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN I LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR. THIS RESULTED IN MY AIR BAG BEING DEPLOYED AS I CAME INTO COLLISION WITH A GUARD RAIL ON A CITY STREET. LUCKILY, ONLY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. THIS RESULTED IN MY WINDSHIELD BEING CRACKED.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
MY SON WAS DRIVING ON TURNPIKE RAMP. WHEEL SEEMED TO LOCK UP AND HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. CAR WAS GOING ABOUT 15-20 MPH. HE HIT GUARD RAIL AND BOTH AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE DAMAGE WAS NOT EXTENSIVE ENOUGH (NO HOOD DAMAGE, SOME BUMPER DAMAGE, NO LIGHTS CRACKED). I HAD CALLED AND SPOKE WITH A SERVICE MAN NAMED GEORGE WHO SAID THEY ARE OVERWHELMED AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG PARTS IN MY RECALL AND HE WOULD CALL ME. HE DID NOT AND THIS ACCIDENT OCCURRED. NOW I AM AT RISK OF THEM TOTALING THE CAR DUE TO AIRBAGS DEPLOYING THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE RESOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER WITH NO RELIEF FROM COGGIN HONDA - WHO COULD HAVE KILLED MY SON IN THIS ACCIDENT.

MY 2003 HONDA ACCORD LX CRASHED ON 10/01/2016 ABOUT 18 MONTHS AFTER I HAD MY AIRBAG SERVICED AT A LOCAL HONDA DEALER 4/7/2015. WHEN I GOT MY CAR BACK FROM THE DEALER, THE DRIVER DOOR HAD NO POWER AND COULD NOT BE OPENED REMOTELY OR WITH THE POWER LOCK CONTROL ON THE DRIVER DOOR. MORE IMPORTANTLY, NO SAFETY SIGNALS CAME ON WHEN THE CAR STARTED. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $80 TO HAVE IT CHECKED; I THEN CALLED AMERICAN HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO ONLY DOCUMENTED THE COMPLAINT AND TOOK NO ACTION TO REMEDY MECHANICAL MISTAKE BY HONDA DEALER. I WAS DRIVING ON A DOWNHILL CURVE ON A WET ROAD AFTER A RAIN. WHEN I SAW A SLOWER CAR AHEAD OF ME, I GENTLY APPLIED THE BRAKE TO MAINTAIN A CONSTANT FOLLOWING DISTANCE. THE CAR DRIFTED TO THE LEFT TOWARD ONCOMING TRAFFIC. BUT WHEN I TRIED STEER TO GET BACK TO THE RIGHT LANE AND TRIED TO PRESS ON THE BRAKE, IT LOCKED UP, THEN THE CAR WENT INTO NEUTRAL AND I HAD NO BRAKE AND STEERING RESISTANCE WAS COMPLETELY LAX. MY CAR WENT OFF ROAD AND CRASHED INTO THE WOODS. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS CONFINED IN BED WITH PAIN ONE WHOLE DAY. MY TRANSMISSION HAD LOCKED UP, THEN WENT INTO NEUTRAL, TWICE BEFORE ON 1/14/2015 IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC, AND ON 9/15/2016 IN MY DRIVEWAY. WE NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA FOR THE TRANSMISSION RECALL; HOWEVER, WE DID RECEIVE LETTERS REGARDING THE AIRBAG RECALL, THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL, AND THE WIPER MOTOR RECALL. A YEAR AGO, THE RECALLS CAME UP USING MY VIN#. THE DATABASE NOW SHOWS NO RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE AT ALL. AFTER MY CAR CRASH, I HAD IT TOWED TO HONDA DEALERSHIP ON 10/4/2016 FOR REPAIR ESTIMATE. I LEFT MY CAR AND TITLE WITH DEALERSHIP; LESS THAN 48 HOURS LATER I CALLED TO GET CAR BACK FOR CRASH INVESTIGATION AND LAWSUIT, THE CAR HAD BEEN DESTROYED BY HONDA DEALER CLOSING ALL FURTHER INQUIRIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

I WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE HOSPITAL, WHERE I HAD SURGERY. THEY HAD TO PUT TWO METAL PLATES & SCREWS IN MY ARM. I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 3 DAYS AND OUT OF WORK ON MEDICAL UNTIL NOVEMBER 28, 2016 I STILL HAVE PAIN IN MY ARM AND FINGERS. ARTHRITIS HAS SET IN MY FORE FINGER . THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL ON THIS FOR 2003 HONDA ACCORDS NO. Q78 WHEN THE MOTOR GETS WET IT STOPS WORKING BUT FOR SOME REASON IT DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER. ALSO I HAD A LEAK IN MY POWER STEERING AND TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE PUMP AND ENDED UP CHARGING ME $500.00 TO FIX BUT IT IS STILL LEAKING.
