THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON (247 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, BRAND NEW CAR) AND AS I WAS DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER CONSULTING WITH THEM ON THE PHONE, THE BRAKES COMPLETELY GAVE OUT. PROBLEM WAS "FIXED", NOW THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN AT 817 MILES. *AK
JUST PURCHASED A NEW 2004 ACCORD EX (37 MILES) AND IT HAS BEEN IN TWICE IN TWO WEEKS FOR ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS. THEY CLAIM THEIR IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO AS THE CAR IS WITH FACOTORY SPECS. THE CAR STILL DRIFTS TO THE RIGHT AND IS NOT CORRECT.*AK
INTERMITTENTLY MY V6 EX 2004 ACCORD IS DIFFICULT TO START, AND REQUIRES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET STARTED. THE DEALER TELL ME THAT THIS IS "NORMAL" FOR THIS MAKE AND IS RELATED TO THE COMPUTER CHIP IN THE CAR. IT SEEMS THAT THIS WAS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE 2003 ACCORDS. IT APPEARS THAT NO RESOLUTION IS POSSIBLE.*JB
WHILE DRIVING STEERING WHEEL INTERMITTENTLY PULLED TO THE LEFT/RIGHT. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. SUDDENLY VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR AND EXHAUST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND REPLACED THEM. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED EIGHT TIMES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
I bought a used 04 v6 accord with 84,000 on it I bought it for $7500 that was in May/June 2021 he was going on and on about the air conditioner and the jbl radiothe About the time it started getting cold I noticed problems with it not wanting to go when put in drive unless it was warmed up enough didn't really think much about. in the colder months the next year it would start doing some jerking problem and then it started messing up like when you are slowing down for a red light but then it turns green and you give it the gas but it just wines like it was in neutral but it was still in drive so I would have to pull over to the side of the road coasting but once I got to a lower gear like first gear I could hear it and feel it go into gear and then when I gave it the gas it would go. Google found a 4.3 million recall on that 04 v6 tranny... mad people same problems they had transmissions replaced somewhere saying to change the transmission fluid every three months just with 3 quarts until the torque converter was flushed out and so on well I had just bought this vehicle pretty much put my savings into it. Apparently the recall was for shavings from the transmission getting in the linkage causing it to pop out of gear if not that bad it could be fixed but if it was bad transmission need replacing no recall on my car if it has same safety problem why no recall. my childhood friend told me it was a transmission it got so bad I had to park sitting 2yrs i have no one to work on it I don't have the funds to pay a garage my friend had a heart attack passed away some say shift solenoid, I know that seller knew there was a problem he spent $600 yea no revall for him he ripped me off but at such low miles there's got to be a reason for this barely used car to be such a safety hazard...my dad told me to write you guys what can it hurt he said the car has been sitting because I have no money to pay to get it fixed I live on SS. Feel free to call me please i miss my honda
CONSUMERS 2004 HONDA ACCORD WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL AND HAS EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS. *TS ***NO ANSWER REQUIRED*** THE CONSUMER HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE. 2004 HONDA ACCORD RECALL FOR SEAT POSITION SENSOR. CONSUMER STATES THAT ONE DEALER STATED THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING UNLESS THE WARNING LIGHT WAS ON. BUT THE OTHER 2 DEALERS SAID THEY WOULD HAVE HER CAR FOR A FEW HOURS. *KB THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL REGARDING A PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT POSITION SENSOR. RECALL # 07V001000. *JB
2004 HONDA ACCORD WITH HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE HEADLIGHTS GET BRIGHTER OR DIMMER FOR NO REASON. MECHANIC TOLD HER THAT THIS IS NORMAL. SHE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO OPERATE. *KB
"TAKATA RECALL" AIR BAG OFF WARNING LIGHTS WILL STAY ON, AND HAS BEEN ILLUMINATED AT THE MAJORITY OF STARTS. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF WILL TURN ON, AND STAY-ON AT TIMES, MAJORITY WILL SHUT-OFF, THE DRIVER SIDE WILL TURN OFF SOMETIMES, MOSTLY THE LIGHT WILL STAY-ON. NOT HARDLY WILL THERE NOT BE ONE OF THE AIR-BAG LIGHTS ON, AND I NEVER KNOW WHICH SIDE, OR IF BOTH.
SIGNAL LIGHTS MALFUNCTIONED. *PH
AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 30 MILES THE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, AND THE BRAKES FAILED. THE DRIVER DOWN SHIFTED AND USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THEY REPLACED THE O-RING. SIX HUNDRED MILES LATER THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS ON AGAIN. *AK
