TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BEGAN TO SHAKE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PEDAL ACCELERATOR ASSEMBLY WAS LOOSE AND MADE THE REPLACEMENT. APPROXIMATELY FOUR DAYS LATER, THE SHAKING RECURRED. THE DEALER ROTATED THE TIRES, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. AS OF JULY 17, 2007, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT THE CAUSE OF FAILURE COULD BE THE LOWER STEERING SHAFT, HOWEVER, THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE POWERTRAIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 2,200 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
VEHICLE: 2007 HONDA ACCORD EX - 6 CYLINDER PROBLEM: TRANSMISSION FAILURE WITH LESS THEN 5K MILES, MY ACCORD BEGAN TO SURGE WHEN DRIVING. A SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED AND HONDA REPLACED IT WITH A REBUILT TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH THE DEALER TOLD ME INITIALLY IT WAS A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 17K MILES AND I STILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN SLOWING FOR A RED LIGHT THE VEHICLE WILL DOWN SHIFT SUDDENLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LURCH. I AM NOT CONFIDANT IN HONDA. *TR
POPPING SOUNDS AND BUZZING SOUNDS WHILE DRIVING. LEASING A BRAND NEW HONDA ACCORD LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT 7 TIMES ALREADY. *AK
THE BRAKES ON MY NEW 2007 HONDA GRAB 50% OF THE TIME. ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS AFTER THE CAR IS WASHED. THEY ARE TOO SENSITIVE, AND I'M NEVER SURE WHAT PRESSURE TO USE TO STOP SAFELY. *TR THE BLIND SPOT ON THE RIGHT REAR SIDE OF CAR IS UNSAFE. FAULT IS IN THE DESIGN OF THE CAR AND THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH AND THE PASSENGER'S HEAD/HEAD REST BLOCKS THE DRIVER'S VISION.
THE TRUNK DOOR WON'T STAY OPEN ON A LOW SLOPE SURFACE OR UNDER SLIGHT WIND ON A FLAT SURFACE. DOOR LOCK HIT THE HEAD ON MULTIPLE FAMILY MEMBERS HEAD CAUSING BRUISES ON HEAD AND HEADACHES FOR MONTHS. I BELIEVE THE ROOT CAUSE IS THAT THE TRUNK DOOR SPRING IS NO STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE DOOR UNDER NORMAL USE. REPORT THE PROBLEM TO HONDA IN NEW VEHICLE SURVEY IN 2007, BUT NO RESPONSE FROM HONDA. FILE A COMPLAINT TO HONDA ON SEPT. 2011. HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE DENIED THE PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR SLIGHTLY AND THE PEDAL BECAME STUCK. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SPED AROUND AND CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DECELERATE OR STOP. SHE CONTINUED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED ABRUPTLY. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED REGARDING THIS FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 2,800. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. UPDATED 06/08/07. *JB
2007 HONDA ACCORD DOES NOT HAVE DOOR LOCKS THAT LOCK AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED ON. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE THAT HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED IN THIS MODEL. *JB
EVER SINCE I BOUGHT MY 2007 ACCORD, THE BRAKES CLUNK PERIODICALLY. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN I FIRST START IT UP AND DRIVE BUT IT CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME. BRAKES REALLY SQUEAK TOO. *TR
AIR CONDITIONER HAS NEVER WORKED WELL SINCE NEW IN 2007. *TR
OVERLY SENSITIVE BRAKES ON 2007 HONDA ACCORD 4 CYLINDER. *TR
HIT MOUND OF ICE AT VERY LOW SPEED (UNDER 5MPH), PLASTIC BUMPER COVER SPLIT AND CAUGHT ON ICE. WHEN I BACKED UP TO GET OFF ICE, ENTIRE PLASTIC BUMPER COVER WAS RIPPED OFF. WAS TOLD BY REPAIR SHOP THIS PART MAY HAVE BECOME BRITTLE DUE TO EXTREME COLD WEATHER AND THE SLIGHTEST IMPACT CAUSED IT TO SPLIT. COST OVER $900 TO REPAIR A PIECE OF PLASTIC. PLASTIC BUMPER COVER AND PIECES THAT HELD IT ON HAD TO BE REPLACED. CAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED, DON'T KNOW WHEREABOUTS OF OLD PARTS, IF STILL AT SHOP OR NOT. NO DAMAGE TO ANY OTHER PARTS OF THE CAR, JUST THE BUMPER COVER.
THE BRAKE LIGHTS FOR HONDA ACCORD '07 HAVE LEAD INDICATOR LIGHTS. IT IS VERY GLARING EVEN AT DAY TIME WHICH VERY IRRITATING TO THE PERSON DRIVING BEHIND THE CAR. MORE OVER, IT IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE PERSON TO DRIVE IN THIS SITUATION BECAUSE OF THIS BRAKE LIGHTS BECAUSE IT CREATES HEAD ACHE. I TALKED MANY PEOPLE ABOUT IT, THEY COMPLAIN THE SAME. IT SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH CONVENTIONAL LIGHT. I AM NOT SURE IF ANY OTHER AUTO MAKER USING THIS SAME KIND OF LIGHT. ALL THIS LIGHTS SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH CONVENTIONAL BRAKE LIGHT. *JB
WHEN PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL, CAR HESITATES AND THEN WILL SURGE OR LUNGE AND THEN ACCELERATE. ALSO WHEN APPLYING A LITTLE PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN, THE CAR WILL AUTOMATICALLY APPLY MORE BRAKE AND THE CAR WILL LUNGE FORWARD TO AN ABRUPT STOP. *TR
BRAND NEW 2007 HONDA ACCORD LX PURCHASED THE CAR ON FEBRUARY 16, 2007. ON FEBRUARY 19, I STARTED THE CAR AND THE SRS INDICATOR LAMP STAYED LIT THE ENTIRE TIME THE CAR WAS OPERATING. EACH TIME I STARTED THE CAR LATER ON THAT DAY, THE SRS LAMP DID NOT STAY ON AFTER THE INITIAL START-UP. ON FEBRUARY 20, I DROVE TO WORK AND DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE LIGHT STAYING ON, BUT LATER IN THE DAY WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THE SRS LAMP CAME ON AND STAYED ON THE ENTIRE TIME I DROVE IT. THE CAR HAS A TOTAL OF 150 MILES AND ALREADY AM HAVING SRS SENSOR GLITCHES. *NM
I WAS CURRENTLY IN A MVA AT THE TIME OF THE COLLISION I WAS ONLY TRAVELING APPROX. 25 MPH, I HAVE SUFFERED SEVERE INJURY TO MY BREAST DUE TO THE SEAT BELT. EVERY DOCTOR THAT I HAVE SEEN AND EVEN THE INSURANCE ADJUSTERS HAVE NEVER SEEN A SEAT BELT INJURY TO THIS EXTENT. *JB
2007 HONDA ACCORD LX. DELIVERY TAKEN IN DECEMBER 2006. FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT HAS BECOME EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE TO SIT IN AND DRIVE. LUMBAR SUPPORT "WINGS" ARE EXTREMELY HARD CAUSING SEVERE PAIN AND NUMBNESS IN MY LOWER BACK (PAIN AND NUMBNESS LAST FOR A TIME AFTER I GET OUT OF CAR) IF I SIT AND DRIVE OVER 15 MINUTES. I VISITED DEALERSHIP, TOLD NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND TO BUY A LUMBAR ROLL FOR MY SEAT. CAME HOME AND CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WAS INFORMED THAT "A TECH SAYS" THE FOAM CAN IN FACT BECOME VERY HARD UNDER COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS AS BEING EXPERIENCED IN MASSACHUSETTS IN 2007. WAS TOLD TO GO OUT AND BUY A LUMBAR SUPPORT PILLOW THAT INFLATES AND PUT IT IN CAR ONLY WHEN I DRIVE AND RUN THE HEATER BEFORE I GET IN FOR A WHILE. PROBLEM SHOULD DISAPPEAR WHEN WEATHER WARMS UP, BUT WILL CONTINUE DURING COLD WEATHER. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, CAR CANNOT BE GARAGED TO PROTECT AGAINST COLD WEATHER. HOW CAN I DRIVE THIS CAR IN THE FUTURE WINTERS WITH THIS EXISTING PROBLEM? *NM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED AS SHE STARTED HER VEHICLE AND PRESS THE ACCELERATE PEDAL THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UP TO A HIGH SPEED. THIS HAD HAPPENED TWICE. FORTUNATELY, SHE WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AS SHE DEPRESS THE BRAKES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WAS NEVER CALL AND THIS WAS NEVER REPORTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT A PARTICULAR MODEL CAR THAT I DO NOT OWN, BUT HAVE DRIVEN BEHIND AT NIGHT. THE BRAKE LIGHTS ON THE NEW, 2007 I THINK, HONDA ACCORD, ARE PAINFULLY BRIGHT. THEY ARE SO BRIGHT, I PULLED DOWN THE VISOR TO SHIELD MY EYES THE OTHER NIGHT, AND MY 12 YEAR OLD CHILD COMPLAINED BECAUSE SHE COULD NOT EFFECTIVELY DO THE SAME. I HAVE NOTICED THIS SEVERAL TIMES AT DARK, AND HAVE FINALLY REMEMBERED TO SIT DOWN AND SUBMIT A COMPLAINT. THIS MODEL HONDA ACCORD HAS LED TAILLIGHTS. THE TAILLIGHTS ARE NOT TOO BRIGHT, WHEN THE CAR IS NOT BRAKING. IT IS JUST WHEN THE CAR IS BRAKING AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON. I HAVE NOTICED MANY OTHER CARS USING LED LIGHTS, SUCH AS HYUNDAI'S AND KIA'S THAT DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. IS THERE A STANDARD OF BRIGHTNESS THAT LIGHTS ARE MEASURED AGAINST? I THINK THESE MUST FAIL. THEY ARE TOO BRIGHT, AND SHOULD AT LEAST BE ADJUSTED ON UNSOLD CARS, AND NEXT YEAR'S MODEL. THANKS FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. *JB
THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAR BRAKES HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE WITHIN 15,398 MILES FROM THE FIRST REPLACEMENT. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE VEHICLE WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN ENOUGH. UPDATED 02/14/11 *BF
2007 HONDA ACCORD LX SEDAN, DOORS RATTLE. BROUGHT TO TWO LOCAL HONDA DEALERS AND THE RATTLE CAN NOT BE FIXED. REPAIRS ARE OVER 10 TIMES! *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THERE WAS A LOUD POPPING SOUND FROM THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE SOUND ALSO OCCURRED WHEN DRIVING ON ROUGH ROADS. THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED. WHEN THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN, THE PROBLEM CONTINUED, SO THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER. THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER REFUSED TO PROVIDE A REFUND, REPLACE THE VEHICLE OR TO REPLACE THE SEAL TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. *NM THE CONSUMER FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING IMPROPERLY SEALED WINDSHIELDS (MOLDING PROBLEMS) THAT CAUSE POPPING/RATTLING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THEY CLAIMED THEY COULD NOT HEAR THE NOISE. *NM THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD NEAR THE DASHBOARD AND IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR WERE TIGHTENED BECAUSE THEY WERE LOOSE. THIS AFFECTED THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE LEFT FRONT STRUT AND THE FIREWALL WERE TOO CLOSE AND WERE RUBBING TOGETHER. THE GASKETS WERE SHRINKING AROUND THE WINDSHIELD WHICH WERE CAUSING THE WINDSHIELD VIBRATING PROBLEMS. THE WINDSHIELD SPRAYER WAS CLOGGED. THE EXHAUST HEAT SHIELDS WERE LOOSE. THE FRONT DOOR WINDOW CHANNELS WERE LUBRICATED AND FINALLY REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE EXCESSIVE RATTLING NOISE. THE DOOR JAMBS WERE IRREGULAR WHICH ADDED TO THE WINDOW RATTLING PROBLEM. 05/25/07 DEFECTIVES MICHELIN TIRES CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE TIRES LIFE WAS ONLY 1/2 THE TIME EXPECTED**CC THE CONSUMER PROVIDED A COPY OF THE INVOICE FOR TIRES AND A COPY OF THE TIRES MAKE, MODEL, AND SIZE. THE CONSUMER NOTICED A BULDGE ON THE SIDEWALL OF THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN SHE ATTEMPTS TO TURN THE VEHICLE, IT FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO GO IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE ENGINE SIZE AND PURCHASE DATE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 4,600 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
