I WAS DRIVING REGULARLY AT THE NORMAL SPEED LIMIT AND HIT A HUGE POTHOLE MORE LIKE A CRATER AND NOW I IMMEDIATELY GOT A FLAT TIRE ON WHICH IS A BRAND NEW TIRE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS
BOUGHT USED 2007 ACCORD FROM DEALER THAT HAD PUT ON NEW YOKOHAMA AVID ASCENT TIRES MFR'D IN 2015 (CC2084P2715, CC2084P0815, P205/60R16 91T). TWO YRS AND 25K MILES LATER, ONE TIRE WENT FLAT AND COULDN'T BE REPAIRED. FIGURED JUST RAN OVER SOMETHING AND REPLACED. NOW, 4 YRS AND 45K MILES LATER ANOTHER TIRE IS SPLITTING APART ALONG THE EDGE OF THE TREAD AND SIDEWALL, WITH THE OTHER TWO STARTING TO SHOW SIMILAR BUT LESS SEPARATION. TIRE HAS 80,000 MI WARRANTY YET APPEARS TO BE UNSAFE. ATTACHING A PHOTO. WILL TAKE IT TO A TIRE DEALER WHO SELLS YOKOHAMA AND SEE IF THEY CAN HELP IN ANYWAY.

AEOLUS STEERING ACEXAS AU02 TIRE DEVELOPED THREE BULGES IN THE SIDEWALL AFTER 8K MILES. TIRE WAS MAINTAINED AND DID NOT RUN FLAT OR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT OR STRUCK ANY OBJECT.
I OWN A 2007 HONDA ACCORD AND WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS I'VE REPLACED THE DRIVER FRONT TIRE TWICE. THE FIRST TIME I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT, THE SECOND TIME REPLACING IT , IT GOT ME THINKING, "OK, WHAT'S GOING ON AND WHY IS IT ONLY THIS TIRE I NEED TO REPLACE AGAIN?" I'M THINKING THERE IS AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE? WE NEED THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED BECAUSE I CAN NOT KEEP BUYING TIRES EVERY YEAR. I HAVE HAD THREE COOPER TIRES FAIL ALL CS4 MODELS. THE COMPLAINT IS ALL THE SAME, THE TIRE DEVELOPS A SIDE WALL LEAK AND CRACKS LEADING TO LOW PRESSURE AND TIRE FAILURE. EACH ONE FAILED AT 17K,15K & 22K MILES. IN EACH INSTANCE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH THE SAME MODEL CS4 COOPER TIRE AND REPEATS THE SAME PROBLEM. EACH ONE WAS ON THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND THE OTHER TIRES WHICH ARE NON COOPER TIRES DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE AND I WILL NO LONGER BUY COOPER TIRES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE POTENZA G109 GRID TIRES, SIZE P205/60/R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE TIRES WERE CRACKED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
THIS IS THE SECOND SAME SIZE COOPER TIRE THAT HAS FAILED THE SAME WAY IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. THE TIRE WAS PROPERLY INFLATED AND BEGAN TO LOSE AIR EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NO PUNCTURES IN THE TIRE. THE TIRE STARTED TO RUN LOW AND THE SIDEWALL CRACKED AND DID NOT DEFLATE BUT RAN WITH LOW PRESSURE. I NOTICED THAT THE TIRE WAS LOW BUT NOT DEFLATED. UPON EXAMINATION OF THE TIRE THE SAME CRACKS APPEARS ON THE SIDE WALL AND NOTHING WAS HIT THAT HAD ABRADED THE TIRE. BOTH TIRES WERE SIZE 215/50 R17 CS4 V XL BW 95 TL. BOTH TIRES LASTED APPROX 15-17K MILES BEFORE FAILING AND APPROX 2 YEARS IN EACH CASE. ONE WAS REPLACED BY THE TIRE DEALER ONLY BECAUSE I HAD BOUGHT THE TIRE PROTECTION POLICY AND THE OTHER WAS NO LONGER COVERED AS REPLACEMENTS ARE NO LONGER COVERED AFTER 12K OR 1 YR. BOTH TIRES COULD NOT BE REPAIRED AS THE SIDEWALL HAS FAILED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REGULAR SERVICE, HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND REAR PASSENGER TIRES WERE SPLITTING. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY BETWEEN 65 -70 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE EXPLODED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW TIRE. THE IDENTICAL FAILURE OCCURRED WITH THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE WHICH WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURES THE TIRES WERE INSPECTED BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THAT THE TIRES EXHIBITED GOOD TIRE TREAD. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERN OF THE POTENTIAL SAFETY RISK INVOLVED WITH THE OTHER TWO TIRES INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 19,700.
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITERING SYSTEM DID NOT INDICATE A PROBLEM. TIRE PRESSURE WAS CHECKED AT A RECENT OIL CHANGE AND WAS ACCEPTABLE. THE DOT NO. FOR THE FAILED TIRE IS NOT AVAILABLE. TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ACCORD. THE VEHICLE HAD MICHELIN PILOT TIRES 215/55R17. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SPUN OUT OF CONTROL AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE DIVIDER AND ENDED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DRIVER STATED THAT IT WAS A SEVERE CRASH. THE DRIVER CONFIRMED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE BLEW OUT. ONE OF THE PASSENGERS WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL; HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS SIGNS OF THE TIRE BEING DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS LESS THAN ONE YEAR OLD. THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN AUGUST 2008. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.

I REPLACED AT MY COST. AT 8000 MILES THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE DEVELOPED A BUBBLE. I REPLACED IT MY COST. THE TIRE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE CAR DESIGN AND THE CAR DEALER SAID IT WAS THE TIRE. TIRE BLEW OUT THE FIRST TIME WE TOOK THE NEW HONDA ACCORD ON THE INTERSTATE. THE CAR BARELY HAD 1,300 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. TWO SHOPS MENTIONED THAT HONDA/MICHELIN HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THESE PARTICULAR TIRES AND THEY ARE NOW SUBSTITUTING A DIFFERENT TIRE.
