WAS TOLD IN LETTER THAT THE 2008 HONDA ACCORD HAS A RECALLED AIRBAG THAT COULD KILL OR SERIOUSLY INJUR YOU AND YOUR PASSENGERS. CALLED FRIENDLY HONDA OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY AND THEY ARE NOT GIVING ANY APPOINTMENTS FOR OVER A WEEK. THEY ARE NOT GIVING A LOANER CAR UNTIL A WEEK. I AM CONCERNED THAT THEY ARE NOT HAVING THIS CAR BROUGHT IN IMMEDIATELY. WAITING FOR A WEEK FOR A SERIOUS RECALL TO ME IS DANGEROUS. I POINTED THIS OUT AND THERE WAS NO CHANGE IN THE DATE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V056000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER (HENDRICK HONDA BRADENTON, 5515 14TH ST W, BRADENTON, FL) WAS CONTACTED AND REFUSED TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIR DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 199,500. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
V TEC ACTUATOR MAKES GRIDING NOISE WHEN START A CAR FOR 2 TO3 SECONDS
LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ON DASHBOARD STAYS LIT CONSTANTLY (YEARS!); EVEN AFTER BRAND NEW, PROPERLY INFLATED TIRES ARE INSTALLED. ON FLORIDA TURNPIKE FRIDAY 7/27/18 VERY FORTUNATE THAT TIRE MADE NOISE SO I PULLED OVER, AS TIRE INSIDE SIDEWALLS RUBBER WAS DISINTEGRATED/GONE WITH STEEL THREADS SHOWING! TPMS DASH LIGHT IS KNOWN DEFECT TO HONDA; BUT THEY WANT TO CHARGE $90 TO TELL YOU THAT! I'M EXTREMELY LUCKY TO NOT BE IN HOSPITAL OR MORGUE TODAY!
HAVE TO TOP OFF ENGINE OIL EVERY WEEK. DISCOVERED PROBLEM LAST YEAR WHEN OIL WAS ALMOST DRAINED OUT AND FEAR IT WILL DESTROY THE ENGINE IF NOT ADDRESSED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 32 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE STRUCK THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND KNEE INJURIES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT FRACTURED, WHICH CAUSED THE AIR BAG TO ENGAGE LATER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,929.
DOOR LOCK, REAR PASSENGER SIDE, AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCKS WHEN I LOCK THE DOORS. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE ON THE DRIVER SIDE, REAR DOOR AND WAS REPLACED DUE TO RECALL.
MY CAR MAKES THIS RATTLING SOUND WHEN I FIRST START THE CAR. I BROUGHT IT INTO MY HONDA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AND THEY SAID IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE RELATED TO OTHER HONDA ACCORDS BUT HONDA WON'T COVER THE COST TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $480 TO HAVE FIXED. I'VE SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT MANY HONDA ACCORD OWNERS HAVE ALSO FACED THIS ISSUE WITH THE RATTLING SOUND. IF IT IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND SAFTEY ISSUE, WHY HASN'T HONDA ISSUED A RECALL TO FIX IT?
VTC (VARIABLE TIMING CONTROL) ACTUATOR, HORRIBLE GRINDING NOISE AT START UP AND I DO KNOW THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS AND HAS HAD MANY MANY COMPLAINTS. THAT HAS GOT TO BE A 'LEMON LAW' ISSUE AND I BELIEVE IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED PROMPTLY. ON A COLD START, IS WHEN IT MAKES THE TERRIBLE NOISE. IF IT'S DRIVEN FOR A WHILE AND THEN STARTED UP AGAIN, IT IS A 50/50 CHANCE THAT IT WILL MAKE THE NOISE AGAIN.
GRINDING NOISE PRESENTS WHEN COLD START THE CAR, POSSIBLELY THE VTC ACTUATOR FAILURE
VERY LOUD NOISE FOR A FEW SECONDS WHEN STARTING THE CAR.. TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC SHOP HE SAID IT WAS THE VTC ACTUATOR AND FEW OTHER THINGS..
SINCE LAST 5 YEARS I NOTICED LOUD GRINDING NOISE AT STARTUP, ONLY IN THE MORNING WHEN I FIRST START THE ENGINE. NOISE DOES NOT HAPPEN ON STARTUPS DURING THE DAY AND THE ENGINE RUNS FINE. JUST THE ANNOYING ABOUT 2 SECOND LONG SCRATCH NOISE AT FIRST START IN THE MORNING. BUT SINCE LAST 2-3 WEEKS IT HAS GONE WORST AND GET THAT NOICE EVEN WHEN I START DRIVING AND EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN AND START SPEED UP AGAIN IT GET THAT NOICE LIKE GEAR SLIPPING OR GRINDING NOISE UNTIL I REACH TO FASTER SPEED LIKE ABOVE 30-35. ITS HAPPENING EVERY TIME NOW. ON HONDA'S WEBSITE IT DEFINES PROBLEM AS "ENGINE RATTLES AT COLD START-UP" JUST DIFFERENCE FOR ME IS NOW ITS HAPPENING ALL THE TIME WHEN I AM DRIVING. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE VTC ACTUATOR TWICE IN THE LAST 5 YRS AND NOW NEED TO REPLACE IT AGAIN. AT COLD START THE CAR MAKES A RATTLING NOISE. HONDA HAS A BULLETIN BUT SAY NOTHING ABOUT HELPING OWNERS REPLACE THEM SINCE IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE. PLEASE HELP!!!
TAKATA INFLATORS HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTING THE DEALER TO TAKE CARE OF THE 3 RECALLS ON MY CAR
THE BRAKE LIGHT CONTINUES TO GO ON AND OFF ON THE DASHBOARD. I HAVE CHANGED MY BRAKES, REPLACED THE BRAKE FLUID AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I HAVE WENT TO HONDA AND THEY CAN ONLY TELL YOU THE COST FOR THE REPAIR. I HAVE SEEN QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS ON OTHER WEBSITES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE WEBSITES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM FOR THE 2008, 2009 AND 2007 HONDA ACCORD, I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT'S AFFECTING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF VEHICLES FOR THE HONDA ACCORD AND THERE IS NOT A RECALL LISTED. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT CAN CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE LIGHT COMES ON WITHIN A MINUTE OR TWO OF DRIVING AND TURNS OFF AFTER REACHING 40 MPH. OTHER TIMES IT STAYS ON AND THE VSA LIGHT COMES ON.
AT COLD START-UP, THE ENGINE RATTLES LOUDLY FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS. HAVE BEEN TOLD IS A DEFECTIVE VTC ACTUATOR.
NORTH AMERICA TIRES MODEL PRIMACY MXV; TIRES UNDER 5 YEARS OLD HAVE DRY ROT
THE TPMS LIGHT ON THE CLUSTER PANEL TURNS ON AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I'VE ROUTINELY CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE FOR PAST THREE MONTHS ON COLD MORNINGS AND WARM TIRES. THE TPMS LIGHT TURNS OFF ON IT OWN AFTER AN HOUR OF HIGHWAY DRIVING OR ONCE YOU SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF (IT DOESN'T COME BACK ON UNTIL YOU DRIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AGAIN FOR AT LEAST 30-60 MINUTES).
TAKATA RECALL- TRANSMISSION WILL MOT GO INTO REVERSE AFTER ALTERNATOR FAILURE
HAVE TRIED TO GET ALL 4 WINDOWS TO ROLL DOWN NONE OF THEM WILL HAVE HAD IT TESTED AND THEY CANNOT FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS TO ME THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM JUST IN CASE THE CAR DOORS WON'T OPEN THEN YOU NEED TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS AND YOU CAN'T

WATET LEAKING ON THE DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG
THE CAR IS EXCESSIVELY BURNING OIL. I HAVE TO ADD A QUART OF OIL AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. BEFORE THAT I WAS GETTING OIL CHANGES FREQUENTLY BECAUSE THE CAR WAS SAYING THE OIL WAS LOW.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, INCLUDING THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR. WHILE DRIVING, THE SPEED WOULD NOT INCREASE PAST 20 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

TAKATA RECALL AND SRS SAFETY WENT TO THE AUTOAIRBAGSETTLEMENT.COM WEBSITE AND UNABLE TO FIND ANY LINKS TO FILE A CLAIM ONLINE, THIS HAS BEEN REPAIRED BUT STILL WANT T BE A PART OF IT. THE OTHER RECALL STILL HAS NO REMEDY AT THIS TIME AND JUDGING FROM THE TEXT ON NHTSA RECALL #16V-056 IT SOUNDS SERIOUS. PLEASE HELP ME TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION. THANKS,
I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL TAKATA AIRBAG NOTIFICATIONS TO TAKE MY CARE IN TO SERVICE THE RECALL R21. THE SAME RECALL FOR MY CAR IS LISTED WHEN I ENTER MY AUTO VIN IN THE WWW.NHTSA.GOV/RECALLS. ALSO, MY 2008 YEAR CAR TYPE IS NOT LISTED IN THE WWW.NYTIMES.COM/INTERACTIVE/2015/06/22/BUSINESS/INTERNATIONAL/TAKATA-AIRBAG-RECALL-LIST.HTM LIST OF CARS NEEDING THE RECALL. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO GET SERVICED THEY TOLD ME THAT MY TYPE OF CAR IS NOT APPLICABLE. I AM CONFLICTED SINCE I AM RECEIVING THESE NOTICES AND THIS RECALL IS LISTED IN THE NHTSA WEBSITE. PLEASE ADVISE IF MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD CAR SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT HAVE THE R21 RECALL FIX? LIGHT WAS TURNING ON OFF WHEN TURN ON STREET. LIGHTON SEAT BELT WAS ALSO DOING THE SAME THING. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER.THEY SAID IT WAS THE AIRBAG DOING ALL THE PROBLEM . ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE. THE ENGINE OIL IS BURNING WAY TOO FAST AND THE ENGINE MAKES A GRINDING NOISE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND NOW THAT IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY ARE SAYING ITS A OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE.
'TAKATA RECALL' I HAD GOTTEN INTO AN COLLISION INVOLVING A DEER ON 10/26/2016. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN I STRUCK THIS ROUGHLY 110 POUND DEER. THE IMPACT WAS ON MY FRONT BUMPER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR. WHEN I TOOK IT TO GET REPAIRED I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO GO WITH MY INSURANCE'S GEICO EXPRESS FACILITY SINCE ALL THE SHOPS WERE FULL FROM HAIL DAMAGE VEHICLES. IN THE ESTIMATE AND ON THE REPAIR ORDER I RECEIVED FROM GEICO AND AMM COLLISION. MY VEHICLE NEVER HAD THE WORK DONE TO THE STRUCTURE UNTILL 2 MONTHS AGO. IT STATED THAT THERE WERE 3 STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS THAT WERE WORKED ON. THE RIGHT RAIL ASSEMBLY 4 HOURS OR REPAIR TIME 60810TA5A00ZZ (WHERE FRONT AND REAR PANELS CONNECT, HEAVY BUCKLE), THE LEFT INNER PANEL 3.6 HOURS REPAIR TIME 04695TA0A00ZZ(ROLLED WITH PUTTER PANEL, INCLUDES TIME FOR BRACKETS AT THE TOP OF FRAME), AND THE RIGHT FRONT PANEL (CRUSHED,COST EFFECTIVE TO REPLACE)60659TA5A50ZZ. MY VEHICLE WAS IN THE SHOP FOR ONLY 2 BUSINESS DAYS BUT SOME HOW PUT 41 HOURS WORTH OF LABOR INTO MY CAR. I HAD GOTTEN INTO ANOTHER HIT AND RUN ON 9/20/17 WHERE MY SIDE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. I TOOK IT BACK TO AMM COLLISION WHERE GEICO TRIED TO TOTAL OUT MY VEHICLE, FALSIFY PAPERWORK BY TAKING OFF COMPONANTS(TRANSMISSION), UNDERVALUE THEN RETAIN MY VEHICLE. WHEN I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF BACK WITH AMM COLLISION I HAD TAKEN PICTURES OF PATCHES OF RUST ON STRUCTURE COMPONANTS AND BROKEN TACK WELDS. STILL TODAY I HAVE BROKEN WELDS IN MY CAR. BUT THE MAJOR CONCERN WAS GEICO AND AMM COLLISION TRYING TO HIDE THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T DO THE REPAIRS TO MY FRAME FOR A WHOLE YEAR. AND WHEN I REQUESTED THE PHOTOS OF THE REPAIRS AND MEASUREMENTS FROM THE BODY ALIGNMENT MACHINE FROM THE SHOP, I HAD THE POLICE CALLED ON ME AND I HAVE A FELONY CRIMINAL TRESPASSING WARNING AT AMM COLLISION FOR ASKING FOR PAPERWORK THAT THEY CANNOT PROVIDE.
TAKATA INFLATORSI RECEIVE EMAILS THAT MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD MAY BE AFFECTED HOWEVER WHEN I GO ON LINE TO CHECK THE ONLY RECALL THAT APPEARS IS NOSE MASK. I DO NOT HAVE ONE. INITIALLY I WAS INFORMED BY NTSB VERBALLY THAT THEY WERE RECALLING VEHICLES IN VERY HUMID STATES, WELL NOW WE ALL APPEAR TO BE SUFFERING THAT CLIMATE. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED??

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 176,000.
THE TAKATA AIRBAGS DON'T WORK WELL AND ALSO THE BRAKE DOESN'T WORK WELL SOMETIMES
I HAD MY CAR FOR A YEAR SINCE 8/13/2016 NOW MY CAR IS KNOCKING TICKING AND WHEN I ACCELERATE IT'S LOUD IN THE MORNING I GOT ALL MY OIL CHANGES TRANSMISSION FLUSH AND ENGINE FLUSH I NEED HELP WHAT'S GOING ON I WENT TO GET A DIAGNOSTICS TEST YESTERDAY (8/25/17) NOW MY ENGINE LIGHT IS BLINKING ON MY DASHBOARD PLUS THE TPMS LIGHT AND ALSO VSA INDICATOR WITH THE TRIANGLE WITH THE EXCLAMATION MARK IN IT I TURNED THE CAR ON THIS MORNING DROVE IT TO THE STORE IT CUT OFF ON ME HELP IT ONLY LET ME GO UP TO 25 MPH

TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A "SRS ECU FAILURE" RECALL NOTICE AND CONTACTED A HONDA DEALERSHIP FOR SUPPORT. THEY TOLD ME TO DISREGARD THE RECALL. I WENT TO A SECOND DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED ONE PART BUT HAD TO "ORDER" ANOTHER. THAT SECOND PART STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED AND IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR NOW. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SERVICE UPDATE OR APPOINTMENT. IS MY CAR SAFE?
I HEAR A GRINDING SOUND EVERY TIME I BRAKE. I SAW THAT HONDA SETTLE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING REPLACING OR REIMBURSING FOR BRAKE PADS THAT WORE OUT TWICE AS FAST. BUT I CALLED HONDA AND THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WAS NOT COVERED BY THIS. I HAVE A PROXIMATELY 54,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE. SECONDLY, MY VEHICLE VIBRATES OR SHAKES A BIT AT HIGHER SPEEDS OF 65 MPH AND ABOVE ON THE HIGHWAY. NOT SURE IF THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM OR SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY HONDA. FINALLY, I DEVELOP BACKACHES DUE TO THE DISCOMFORT OF THE SEATS WHICH I SUSPECT ARE NOT CORRECTLY OR ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED. AFTER ABOUT 30 TO 40 MINUTES OF DRIVING I EXPERIENCE LOWER BACK PAIN WHICH I NORMALLY NEVER HAVE. THIS DISSUADES ME FROM DRIVING FOR MUCH LONGER DISTANCES AS I REMAIN STIFF AND NEED TO REST IN ORDER TO RECOVER FROM THE BACK PAIN AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
