DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT ANY SPEED THE HEADLIGHTS DIM EVERY 10 TO 15 SECONDS. HAD THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR CHECKED BY A PROFESSIONAL AND BOTH WAS GOOD. SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THE EXACT SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT A NEW ISSUE.
SEE ATTACHED FILE FOR MORE COMPLETE EXPLANATION. HONDA SERVICE CENTER IS RECOMMENDING I INSTALL 2 NEW AXLES. THIS CAR 2008 HONDA ACCORD HAS ONLY 55,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS NOT HIT ANYTHING. COMPLAINT FILED WITH HONDA AND FTC. DETAILS IN ATTACHED DOCUMENT.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V395000 (POWER TRAIN) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 177,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

WHEN STARTING UP MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD, I EXPERIENCE A VERY LOUD RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE VTC ACTUATOR. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG HONDA ENGINES. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. HONDA NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THE FACT THAT THE ACTUATOR THEY PUT IN MY CAR IS FAULTY AND CAN LEAD TO MANY MORE PROBLEMS.

I OWN A 2008 HONDA ACCORD WHICH I PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2008. AFTER I REACHED ABOUT 75,000 MILES I STARTED HAVING EXTREME OIL CONSUMPTION WHICH THEN LEAD TO ME HAVING TO REPLACE VTC ACTUATOR AND PISTON RINGS COSTING ME ALMOST $2,000. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NO ISSUES AND HONDA REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING. I NOW CAN ONLY GO ABOUT 1,000 MILES WITHOUT HAVING TO REPLENISH THE OIL. AS MANY REPORTS AS THERE ARE OF THIS KNOWN ISSUE AND HONDA REFUSES TO SUPPORT THEIR CUSTOMERS, SPEAKS LOUDLY.
I STARTED MY CAR UP IN THE MORNING AND WARMED IT UP FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES THEN AS I GO TO PUT IT IN REVERSE THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON I THEN PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF THEN I TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS STILL ON I DECIDED TO JUST GO BECAUSE I HAVE TO BE AT WORK IN AN HOUR AS I AM DRIVING DOWN I FIVE THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING LIKE THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE STARTED FLICKERING AND MY HEADLIGHTS TURNED OFF AND I WAS NOW DRIVING DOWN I-5 IN THE DARK. FORTUNATELY I MADE IT TO MY LOCATION PARKED MY CAR AND IT COMPLETELY DIED. I DIDN'T OPEN MY HOOD AND STARTED CHECKING MY BATTERY AND MY ALTERNATOR ETC. I CONFIRMED MY BATTERY WAS FINE AND THAT MY ALTERNATOR HAD FAILED. I THEN NOTICE FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM THE POWER STEERING PUMP TO THE ALTERNATOR. NOW MY CAR IS HAS NO POWER AND EVEN IF I GET IT JUMPSTARTED IT JUST DIES.
WHILE DRIVING TENSIONER BOLT BROKE LEAVE VEHICLE WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR ANY POWER EXCEPT FOR THE BATTERY UNTIL THAT DIED.IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN TWO YEARS AND I DON'T SEE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.

"TAKATA RECALL" I DO NOT THINK THAT I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND THEREFORE MY TAKATA INFLATORS ARE APPARENTLY DANGEROUS. WE DRIVE THE CAR EVERY DAY, AND WE ARE CONCERNED. I CHECKED OUR 2008 HONDA'S VIN NUMBER AND DISCOVERED THAT ITIT HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V665000(AIR BAGS) IN 2015 REGARDING THE AIR BAGS. CROWN HONDA (555 CYPRESS AVE, REDDING, CA 96001, 530-241-4321) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK WHEN SUDDENLY MY PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT A PASSENGER, THE ROAD I WAS TRAVELING ON IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND HAD A SLIGHTLY RAISED PLATFORM HOWEVER I DRIVE THIS ROAD DAILY AT THE SAME SPEEDS. I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THIS, DESPITE THE ALL OF THE NEGATIVE PRESS AND ARTICLES OF HONDA BEING INVESTIGATED.
2008 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG INFLATOR SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION IS BEING SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE. *JS
AT 90,000 CAR SHOOK AND WAS MISFIRING. CODES PULLED WERE P301 AND 304. SPARK PLUGS 1-4 WERE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE DUE TO HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN 13-078 WHICH EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 8 YEARS ON ENGINE MISFIRES. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE PISTONS AND THE PISTON RINGS WERE NOT INSPECTED AT THAT TIME. WHY NOT? WHO KNOWS WHAT CONDITION THEY WERE IN? THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO US WITH SPARK PLUGS AS BAND-AIDS! IT HAPPENED AGAIN AT 103,000 MILES (WHICH WE PAID FOR) AND NOW AT 128,000 THE DEALERSHIP SAYS WE NEED A COMPLETE LOWER ENGINE REBUILD TO REPLACE PISTONS 1-3. OF COURSE AS A 2008, EVEN THOUGH LOW MILES, IT'S OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY. I THOUGHT IN BUYING AN ACCORD, I COULD DRIVE IT FOR AT LEAST 150,000- AT LEAST! I WOULD LIKE THE WARRANTY FURTHER EXTENDED, OR AT LEAST FOR AMERICAN HONDA CORP TO PAY FOR HALF OF THE REPAIRS AS IT'S ONLY 3,000 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE ORIGINAL SERVICE BULLETIN EXTENDED WARRANTY OF 125,000. IF HONDA ACKNOWLEDGED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THIS PARTICULAR V6 VTEC ENGINE, WHY DOES THE WARRANTY EXPIRE? SHOULDN'T THERE BE A GRACE PERIOD OR A COMPROMISE? WE ARE GETTING PUNISHED FOR CARING FOR OUR CAR AND HAVING LOW MILES ON IT. MANY FOLKS BENEFITTED FROM THE EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE THEIR CARS FAILED WITHIN THE 8 YEAR TIME FRAME BECAUSE THEY HAD HIGH MILES- HIGHER THAN OURS! WHAT ABOUT THOSE 08 ACCORDS THAT ARE STILL FAILING OUTSIDE OF THE 8 YEAR MARK THAT HAVE LOWER MILES THAN THE ONES HONDA COVERED UNDER WARRANTY??? C'MON AMERICAN HONDA, TAKE CARE OF ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS! I HAVE PURCHASED 6 HONDAS IN MY LIFETIME AND AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER AT MY LOCAL HONDA SERVICE CENTER WITH AN EXTENSIVE SERVICE HISTORY. ON THIS CAR ALONE I'VE PURCHASED NEW BRAKES, NEW STARTER, NEW ALTERNATOR, DRIVE TRAIN BELTS, WATER PUMP, NEW VTEC SPOOL VALVES, VTEC SOLENOID, AND EVERY SERVICE AS RECOMMENDED BY- AT THE DEALERSHIP- AND MY ACCORD ONLY LASTED 128,000? HOW?
HONDA MAKES VERY BAD TRANSMISSIONS. I HAVE A 2008 V6 ACCORD AND TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN AT 151,000- MILES. ALSO RADIATOR WENT BROKE AT 152,000
I OWN 2 HONDA'S AN ACCORD AND A PILOT IT IS INSANE THE VISA MODULATOR WENT BAD ON BOTH THEM. A 1500+ PART THAT ALSO IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ABS AND EMERG BRAKE. I HAVE 2 RELATIVE WHO ALSO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE MORE RESEARCH I DO THE MORE THIS SEEMS TO BE A FAULTY PART ISSUE. HOW IS EVERYONE E HAVING THIS ISSUE? TAKATA RECALL I READ THE INFORMATION ON THE DOT WEBSITE BUT WASN'T ABLE TO FIND THE INFORMATION NEEDED. THE INDICATOR LIGHT IS SHOWING ON MY DASH. COULD THIS BE RELATED TO THE RECALL? FROM STARTUP TO SHUT OFF
WHEN I START THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING AFTER IT HAS SET ALL NIGHT IT RATTLES FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN ON GOING.
MY VEHICLE'S PISTON RINGS ARE DAMAGED AND MY VEHICLE IS BURNING OIL. I NOTICED THAT AFTER CHECKING MY OIL ONE DAY THAT THERE WAS NO OIL ON MY DIP STICK. I HAD JUST RECENTLY GOTTEN AN OIL CHANGE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO. I CHECK MY FLUID LEVELS FREQUENTLY DUE TO I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. I TOOK IT BACK TO WALMART WHERE I HAD THE OIL CHANGE DONE AT AND THEY PERFORMED ANOTHER OIL CHANGE AND REPLACED THE OIL FILTER, WHERE I WAS ABLE TO WATCH THEM DO THE ENTIRE PROCESS. ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF GOES BY AND I WENT TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AND AGAIN THE DIP STICK WAS BARE. THERE IS NO INDICATION OF ANY OIL LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE, NOR IS THERE ANY OIL PRESENT ON THE GROUND UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT. THERE IS NO WHITE SMOKE COMING OUT OF ANYWHERE, NO OIL BURNING SMELL, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING VISIBLE TO SEE WHAT MIGHT BE GOING ON WITH THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC THAT IS IN TOWN WHERE THEY DID A THOROUGH EXAMINATION OF THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE OIL BURNING IS BEING CAUSED BY THE PISTON RINGS. THEY ARE IN THEIR OPINION FAULTY PISTON RINGS THAT HAVE DEVELOPED AN ABNORMAL AMOUNT OF DEB-RE ON THEM AND THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. I FEEL THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE IN THE RECALL LIST DUE TO THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 104,123 MILES ON IT AND THE PISTONS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED EVERY MORNING FOR APPROXIMATELY FOUR MONTHS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OIL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THERE WAS OIL LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE OIL LEAK BECAME MORE CONSTANT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA SOUTH AUSTIN WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN OIL CHANGE WAS NEEDED. THE OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE ANOTHER OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED AND A NEW AIR FILTER WAS INSTALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,700. CONSUMER STATED THE ACTUAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE IS MY FIANCE I SUBMITTED THE COMPLAINT ON HIS BEHALF. TAKATA RECALL HAD A FRONT IMPACT COLLISION. ONLY PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. BUT CAME OUT WITH SUCH FORCE, IT HIT MY SHOULDER WRIST AND ARM. AND I WAS DRIVING. IT ALSO SHATTERED MY WINDSHIELD AND BURNT UP MY DASHBOARD

THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS AND HEADLIGHTS WERE REPLACED, ALONG WITH A TIRE ALIGNMENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE SEAT BELT FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.
IN 2008, I PURCHASE A NEW HONDA ACCORD V6 PAID WITH FINANCING $25,000. I PURCHASE A BRAND NEW VEHICLE TO NOT HAVE TO BE BOTHERED WITH SOMEONE ELSE PROBLEMS. WHEN MY CAR REACHED 100 THOUSAND MILES IN THE WINTER, I HEARD A LOUD KNOCKING SOUND UNDER THE HOOD AND I WAS LOOSING A LOT OF OIL. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER. MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND START BLINKING. THE DEALER PULLED THE DTC AND THE P0301 COLD WAS PRESENT. A SERVICE BULLETIN 13-078 AND CASE # 312-CV-01377-S1 TOLD ME THAT WOULD BE NO COST TO ME BECAUSE I WAS A CLASS MEMBER. THIS WAS FROM A CLASS ACTION FILING THAT 1.5 MILLION HONDA WERE DEFECTIVE BECAUSE OF A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD FIX MY $25,000 INVESTMENT HONDA I PURCHASE AND PAID IN FULL. SINCE THEN I WENT TO THE COMMUNITY HONDA DEALERSHIP IN ORLAND PARK ILLINOIS AND ON APRIL 2019 THE P0301 CODE WAS PRESENT AGAIN SOMETHING NEW AND THE P0420 DTC. I PAID AGAIN FOR TUNE UP WHICH THE 1ST CYLINDER WAS FOULED OUT AGAIN THE THIRD TIME THIS YEAR. THE DIRECTOR OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT NAME BOB STATED FOR THIS REPAIR AGAIN WOULD COST ME $8,000 AND SMILED. I SAID I COULD NOT AFFORD THAT REPAIR AND BECAUSE NOW THAT THE FIRST REPAIR WHICH I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE WAS GOING TO FIX THE EFFECT AND DID NOT. I WAS SOLD A LEMON AND I NEED HONDA TO REPURCHASE THIS VEHICLE AND GIVE ME A BRAND NEW VEHICLE SIMILAR TO THE ONE I PURCHASE FOR $25,000. THE COMMUNITY HONDA SERVICE DIRECTOR WOULD NOT WARRANTY MY TUNE UP BECAUSE HE SAID I NEED PISTON RINGS AGAIN. I THEN CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATION AND INFORMED THEM OF MY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE I PURCHASE WITH WAS A DEFECT. TOOK TWO WEEKS FOR THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR PER DANA HONDA REP STATED NO MORE ASSISTANCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THIS DEFECTIVE VEHICLE WHICH IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASE IF I HAD KNOWN. I THEN HAD TO GO TO PEP BOYS TO AVOID BLOWING THE ENGINE AND CATCHING A FIRE FOR REPA

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ACCORD EQUIPPED WITH MICHELIN DEFENDER TIRES, SIZE: 225/50/R1794T (NA). WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE TIRE BLEW OUT. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TIRE WAS DRY ROTTED. THE TIRE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,400. THE DOT NUMBER AND TIRE SIDE FAILURE WERE UNKNOWN.
TAKATA RECALL. HONDA CONTACTED ME AGAIN REGARDING THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. I TRADED THIS CAR INTO AN ACURA DEALER APPROXIMATELY 10 YEARS AGO. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA BY PHONE AND MAIL 5 OR 6 TIMES YET THEY STILL HAVEN'T CORRECTED THIS. SOMEWHERE SOMEONE IS DRIVING A DANGEROUS VEHICLE. I SURE THEY COULD FIND THIS CAR IF THEY FOLLOWED UP CORRECTLY. THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT VERY CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY.
EVERY TIME ARE START MY VEHICLE IT MAKES A GRINDING RATTLING NOISE, THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SOME TIME NOW AND THE NOISE IT MAKES SEEMS TO BE LASTING LONGER EVERY TIME WE START IT. THE VEHICLE IS NOT MOVING, IT IS IN PARK, IT ONLY OCCURS WHEN I START IT UP.
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ONE YEAR AGO (DECEMBER 2018) AND HAVE HAD A GRINDING NOISE UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE. THIS GRINDING NOISE OCCURS DURING OR WEATHER AND COLD WEATHER. I WENT TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY RAN AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE VTC ACTUATOR WASN'T WORKING PROPERLY AND THERE WAS A HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION. HONDA IS SAYING THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL BUT THIS IS AND HAS BEEN A WELL KNOWN OCCURRING ISSUE WITH HONDA'S FROM YEARS 2008-2012) AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX AS THE PRICE TO FIX THE VEHICLE WOULD COST JUST AS MUCH AS THE PRICE I PURCHASED IT FOR. I'M HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH A HONDA AS I'VE HEARD EXCELLENT THINGS ABOUT HONDA CARS WHICH IS WHY I PURCHASED MY ACCORD. IF I HAD KNOWN OF THE ISSUE I WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASED IT AND I'D RATHER PURCHASE A DIFFERENT CAR THAN TO HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET. I DON'T FEEL I HAVE BEEN TREATED PROPERLY THROUGHOUT THIS PROCESS AND I GABE HONDA THE CHANCE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT BUT NO ONE IS WILLING TO COOPERATE. I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING A NEW VEHICLE. I EVEN THOUGHT TO TRADE MY VEHICLE IN FOR A 2018 HONDA ACCORD BUT IF I FEEL I'VE BEEN TREATED POORLY WHY WOULD I WANT TO CONTINUE GIVING A COMPANY MY BUSINESS IF I'VE BEEN TREATED POORLY? ALSO MY DAD WAS CONSIDERING PURCHASING A BRAND NEW 2021 HONDA CIVIC BUT NOW I WILL LEAD HIM TO A DIFFERENT BRAND VEHICLE AS HONDA HAS NOT LIVED UP TO ITS NAME. AND NOW TO TOP EVERYTHING OFF, MY MOTOR IS GOING ALL DUE TO THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE HONDA DEALER. IF THEY WOULD HAVE FIXED THE VTC ACTUATOR PROBLEM MY MOTOR WOULDN'T BE CONSUMING SO MUCH OIL AND MY MOTOR WOULD NOT HAVE BLOWN. I THINK IT'S A LITTLE OUTRAGEOUS THAT HONDA THINKS IT'S NORMAL FOR ME TO HAVE TO PAY FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH IF NOT SOONER WHEN IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THOUSANDS OF HONDA'S.
CHECK ENGINE LIT. ENGINE ROOM 1500--2000. COMPUTER INDICATE TRANSMISSION SENSOR. I REPLACED IT BUT DOESN'T HELP. REMOVED MINUS BATTERY. CHECK ENGINE DISAPPEARS AFTER 40 MILES CHECK ENGINE APPEAR AGAIN.
THE VEHICLE HAS GOOD COMPRESSION, BUT A STRANGE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IT IS ALSO LOSING OIL WHILE LEAVING NO OIL MARKINGS. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER MISSED AN OIL CHANGE, AND WAS GETTING ONE WHEN THE MECHANICS SAID THAT THE NOISE MEANT THAT THE ENGINE HAD PROBLEMS. MULTIPLE MECHANICS HAVE TOLD US TO REPLACE THE V6 ENGINE. THE TIRE RODS ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE TSM LIGHT NEVER GOES OFF

MY HONDA WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW BY MY GRANDFATHER AT BREAKAWAY HONDA IN GREENVILLE SOUTH CAROLINA, AND THE SEATS IN IT ARE THE SAME ONES THAT CAME WITH IT WHEN DROVE OFF THE LOT! I NOW LIVE IN NORTH A CAROLINA AND CROWN HONDA OF DURHAM NC IS REFUSING TO DUE ANYTHING ABOUT IT SAYING IT'S NOT THEIR PROBLEM, AND THAT I NEED TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE SC HONDA LOCATION. I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS STOPPED ON A CITY STREET.THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCIDENT DID NOT SEE THE STOPPED CARS AND HIT ME DOING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. I WAS PUSHED INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME AT HIGH IMPACT. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR ALL AIRBAG RECALLS. I WAS NOT INJURED BUT THIS COULD HAVE HAD A MUCH DIFFERENT OUTCOME.
BOTH FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG CURTAINS THAT CONNECT TO THE ROOF ARE LEAKING WATER INTO THE VEHICLE WHEN IT RAINS. I'M AFORESAID THIS COULD AFFECT MY AIRBAG IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. I NEVER REALIZED THIS IS WHY MY DRIVER SEATS ARE WET WHEN IT RAINS.

ON OCTOBER 8, 2018 IN PORTLAND OREGON A VEHICLE DROVE THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND HIS RED LIGHT AND I WAS HIT WHILE MAKING THE LEFT TURN ON THE LEFT FRONT SIDE CLOSER TO THE HOOD OF MY VEHICLES AND MY SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED SCAPULA, RIBS, PUNCTURED AND BRUISED LUNG AND OTHER BRUISING INJURIES. IN 2017 WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE SERVICE AND SAFETY RECALLS HAD BEEN 'FIXED'.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A MVA AND AT 55 MPH, MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY CHEST HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AS WELL HEAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD LEAVING ME WITH A STERNUM FRACTURE. I HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM BEHIND.
I HAVE A 2008 HONDA ACCORD THAT WAS PURCHASED IN FEB 2011. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY MAJOR ISSUES WITH THIS CAR IN THE PAST, BESIDES REPLACING BRAKES. HOWEVER, IN THE PAST YEAR, I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY OIL IS BURNING MUCH FASTER THAN IT USED TO. I GO TO THE DEALER TO HAVE MY OIL CHANGED PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS WHEN THE OIL METER SAYS 15%. HOWEVER, I NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS RUNNING ODD, EVEN THOUGH MY OIL METER SAID 60%. I CHECKED MY OIL DIPSTICK TO FIND THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY DRY OCTOBER LAST YEAR, EVEN THOUGH I JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE 2 MONTHS BEFORE. I HAD TO BUY TWO QUARTS OF OIL TO FILL IT BACK UP. I SUSPECTED THAT THE DEALERSHIP (HONDA OF COLUMBIA) DID NOT ACTUALLY FILL MY OIL, BUT CHARGED ME FOR IT. I WENT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN COLUMBIA, WHO INSISTED THAT THEY DID FILL MY OIL IN OCTOBER. SINCE THAT INCIDENT, MY CAR HAS HAD TO HAVE FREQUENT OIL CHANGES, DUE TO THE OIL BURNING OUT QUICKLY. I HAD AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST STARTED IN JULY 2019 AT 147,384 MILES AND IT SHOWED MY CAR BURNED A QUART OF OIL IN 2000 MILES (149,230). THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT IT WAS 'NORMAL' TO BURN ONE QUART IN 2000 MILES BECAUSE MY CAR HAS MANY MILES. THEREFORE, I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER QUART OF OIL TO ADD TO MY CAR. I CHECKED MY OIL YESTERDAY (AT 150,300 MILES) AND I HAVE BURNED ANOTHER QUART. THIS TIME IT WAS 1000 MILES FOR ONE QUART. IT IS CONCERNING THAT MY CAR HAS STARTED TO BURN OIL QUICKLY WHEN IT DID NOT BEFORE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 204,000.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEPT COMING UP WITH THE MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND THE OIL LEVEL KEPT DROPPING.I TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE AND I GOT THESE CODED P3497 AND P3400. I DID A RESEARCH MYSELF AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AS STATED IN HONDA'S BULLETIN 11-033.THE RECALL COVERS ALL ACCORD FROM 2008-2010 WHICH MINE IS INCLUDED. I CALLED ACCORD TO NOTIFY THEM ABOUT THESE BUT AFTER THEY LOOKED UP THE VIN,I WAS TOLD MY CAR WASN'T INCLUDED. HONDA'S BULLETIN SAYS ALL 2008-2010 V6 ACCORD SO WHY IS MY CAR EXEMPTED? PLEASE KINDLY LOOK INTO THESE ISSUE. THANK YOU.
