ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT GO OFF I LOSE OIL
I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP, HONDA CARS OF COLUMBIA, FOR THE AIR BAG RECALL WHICH WAS REPAIRED. I INFORMED THEM OF EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION AND OF ERROR CODES THAT APPEARED. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO WITHOUT ENGINE LIGHT ON. I CALLED HONDA CARS OF AMERICA AND AFTER GETTING THE RUN AROUND, THEY TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THEIR CAMPAIGN FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION AND UNDER ENGINE MISFIRE IF THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN TO TAKE CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY WOULD REPLACE SPARK PLUGS 1-4 AND UPDATE SOFTWARE. I HAVE A V6. THE CAR USES 2-4 QTS BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. ALL I'M ASKING FOR IS TO REPLACE ALL SPARK PLUGS AND UPDATE SOFTWARE. YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

REPLACED REAR BRAKE PADS AT 22000 MILES, NOW AT 27000 MILES HAVE TO REPLACE ALL 4 ROTORS AND PADS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED IN EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE PEDAL WAS RESISTANT TO BEING DEPRESSED, WHICH WAS A RECURRING FAILURE WHEN THERE WAS SNOW OR EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST, WHO STATED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER VALVE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED OF THE FAILURE AND DECLINED TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,901. UPDATED 7/14/14*CN UPDATED 07/18/2014 *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A BANGING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS PROTRUDING AWKWARDLY FROM THE WHEEL WELL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE BALL JOINT HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,530.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD MAKE A SPARKING NOISE WHENEVER THE KEY WAS INSERTED INTO THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE SEAT OFFER NO COMFORT OR SUPPORT, BUT ACTUALLY INFLICT SEVERE AND IMMEDIATE BACK AND HIP PAIN. AFTER DRIVING THE CAR ONLY 15 MILES IN THE INTERSTATE, I HAD BACK PAIN FOR 2 DAYS. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON; CAR CHUGGED; CALLED AAA AND HAD IT TOWED FOR THE THIRD TIME TO HONDA . A SWITCH, OIL PRESSURE ROCKER ARM PRESSURE SWITCH (REAR) WAS REPLACED. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT A PART FAILURE HAS CAUSED OIL PRESSURE/ENGINE PROBLEMS AND LEFT ME STRANDED OUT OF TOWN. *JS
WHEN I WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKES TO STOP AT AN INTERSECTION, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS HARD AND BRAKES DID NOT WORK AT ALL. IF IT IS UNDER 20 DEGREES OUTSIDE, THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST DRIVEN AFTER SITTING FOR AWHILE. I AM NOW LOOKING AT REPLACING THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND CHECK VALVE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW IF MY CAR WILL STOP OR NOT WHEN I AM DRIVING. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, HONDA HAD RECALLED PREVIOUS YEARS MODELS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS PARTICULAR MODEL YEAR. SEVERAL PEOPLE IN FORUMS ARE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUES. PERHAPS YET ANOTHER CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS IN ORDER FOR. *TR
REAR BRAKES STARTED MAKING A TERRIBLE NOISE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. CAR WAS VIBRATING WHEN SLOWING TO A STOP. NOTICED BRAKING REDUCTION. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THE REAR BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT 36,000 MILES. *TR

I HAD TIRES ROTATED AT 36K MILES AND FIRESTONE ADVISED ME OF IRREGULAR WEAR ON MY RIGHT REAR BRAKES. THE BRAKE PAD RUBS CONSTANTLY BASED ON A CALIPER AND ROTOR MALFUNCTION. I VERIFIED RECALLS PERTAINING TO MY HONDA AND FOUND NO RELEVANT INFORMATION; HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THERE IS A PROBLEMATIC ISSUE WITH PREMATURE AND IRREGULAR WEAR. HONDA SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAULTY BRAKE COMPONENTS LEADING TO UNWARRANTED SAFETY VULNERABILITIES AND EXCESSIVE CONSUMER EXPENSES. *TR

WHEN I TOOK MY AUTOMOBILE IN AT RECOMMENDED SERVICE INTERVAL THE OIL LEVEL DID NOT REGISTER ON THE DIPSTICK.THE MECHANIC SAID THE REAR SPARK PLUGS WERE FOULED BY THE OIL INDICATING THE CAR WAS BURNING OIL AT A HIGH RATE. *TR

CAR WAS PARKED AT BOAT DOCK PARKING LOT WHEN PASSENGER FRONT DOOR WAS CLOSED, LARGE BANG FROM ARMING DEVICE OCCURRED, AND CURTAIN AIR BAG ON PASSENGER SIDE WAS DEPLOYED. NO INJURY, NO EXTERNAL CONTACT WITH VEHICLE EXCEPT PASSENGER DOOR BEING CLOSED. *TR
THE REAR BRAKE STARTED MAKING NOISE. WHEN I CHECKED AT THE REPAIR SHOP THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO HAVE THE REAR BRAKE REPLACED. THE TOTAL COST I WAS TOLD WAS $ 305.66. THE CAR WAS APPROXIMATELY DRIVEN - 26500 MILES THAT TOO UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS, MOSTLY ON HIGHWAYS.
WE WERE DRIVING ON A EMPTY STREET AT 35 MPH ABOUT 88 DEGREES AND SUN THE SHINING AND NO PEDESTRIANS AROUND. WE HEARD A LOUD BANG AND LOOKED FOR SOME INDICATION OR MORE NOISE. NOTHING EXCEPT THE SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED WITH THE CENTER HOLE BULGING OUT. WE WERE LUCKY THE SHADE WAS CLOSED OR EVERYONE COULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN FINE GLASS SHARDS. I HOPE HONDA COVERS THIS BECAUSE IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION IT WAS NOT CAUSED BY AN EXTERIOR IMPACT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND THE VSA WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND WHEN RESTARTED, BOTH OF THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE STILL ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE LATER STALLED WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 15 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER, WHO DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE OVERHEATED AND CAUSED OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS TO BECOME MELTED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE, WHICH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
I FOUND THAT HONDA ACCORD HAS RECALLS. I GOT MY OIL CHANGE IN APRIL/MAY - 2013 FOR MY HONDA ACCORD AND HONDA DEALER FOUND EVERYTHING GOOD AND BRAKES WERE CLOSE TO 8 (ON THE BRAKE MEASURING SCALE) ON ALL THE WHEELS. IN JUST 2 MONTHS, THE REAR BRAKE STARTED MAKING NOISE AND THEN I CAME ACROSS THE HONDA ACCORD BRAKE RECALL ISSUE. NOW I HAVE GOT THE REPAIR DONE AND SENT THE DETAILS TO HONDA. HONDA IS DENYING THE REIMBURSEMENT SAYING THAT MY CAR DOES NOT FALL IN THE RECALL CATEGORY (THEY HAVE SELECTED SOME VINS WHICH MEETS THOSE CONDITIONS). MY QUESTION IS HOW HONDA CAN DECIDE WHICH VINS HAVE THE PROBLEMS AND WHICH DOES NOT HAVE UNTIL PEOPLE REPORT THEM. ANYWAY, I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH HONDA ABOUT NOT REIMBURSING THIS REPAIR COST. *TR

WHILE SLOWLY ACCELERATING AT LESS THAN 5 MPH ALL PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT ANY IMPACT TO VEHICLE, IN PROCESS OF TRYING TO GET HONDA TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FAULTY EQUIPMENT . CURRENTLY THEY ARE REFUSING AND TRYING TO PUSH THE CLAIM ONTO MY INSURANCE COMPANY EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. *TR
HAD AN EXPERIENCE WITH UNINTENTIONAL ACCELERATION. ON MY WAY TO WORK, COMING AROUND 10 WEST TO 710 SOUTH TRANSITION, I FULLY DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL TO PASS A VERY SLOW MOVING CAR, COMING OUT OF THE RAMP THAT MERGES INTO FAST 710 SOUTH TRAFFIC. I WOULD ESTIMATE THE GAS PEDAL WAS FULLY FLOORED 2-3 SECONDS. THEN I LIFTED PRESSURE, AS I HAD ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO PASS THE SLOWER VEHICLE, BUT NOTICED THE THROTTLE WAS STILL WIDE OPEN. I WAS GOING TO SHIFT TO NEUTRAL, BUT I QUICKLY STABBED THE PEDAL AND THE THROTTLE UNSTUCK ITSELF. WOW! THAT WAS PRETTY NERVE RACKING! IT HAPPENED ONLY ONCE SO FAR. *TR

WHILE PUTING REAR WHEELS ON LOCK,AND THEN ROTATING TIRES BY HAND,MAKES SOUND OF TWO METALS TOUCHING WITH EACH OTHERS,THIS EXPERIMENT MADE BY ME WHEN I NOTICED THAT MY REAR BRAKE PADS ARE WORN OUT RAPIDLY,THEN I REPLACED BRAKE PADS IN FIRE STONE, BUT PROBLEM REMAINED THE SAME,I VISITED FIRE STINE AGAIN,THEY SAID THAT IS MANUFACTURING DEFECT, THEN I FOUND OUT FROM VARIOUS ON LINE SOURSES THAT CERTAIN HONDA ACCORDS MADE DURING 2007 TO 2010 HAVE SAME DEFECT FROM FACTORY,LOOKS LIKE BRAKE ASSEMBLY LINE FROM SUPPLIER IS DEFECTIVE DURING CERTAIN PERIOD .IN SHORT REAR BRAKE PADS ALWAYS REMAINS TOUCHING WITH BRAKE PLATES WITHOUT PRESSING BRAKE PAD,NOT TOO MUCH BUT LITTLE BIT. *TR
2010 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE REAR BRAKE PADS. *SMD DURING A STATE INSPECTION, THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE REAR BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS 30,000 MILES OF HIGHWAY DRIVING AND THE PADS SHOULD NOT HAVE WORN OUT SO QUICKLY.
THE MOONROOF GLASS ON MY 2010 HONDA ACCORD SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY. NOTHING HIT IT, THERE WAS NO WIND OR UNUSUAL CONDITION OF ANY KIND. ONE MOMENT, NORMAL DRIVING, THEN A SOUND LIKE A BIG FIRECRACKER EXPLODING IN THE CAR, THEN I LOOKED UP AND ABOUT ONE QUARTER OF THE GLASS WAS GONE OUT OF THE CENTER, THE REST WAS SHATTERED INTO A MILLION PIECES BUT STILL HANGING IN PLACE. MORE GLASS HAS BROKEN LOOSE AND FALLEN DOWN AND THE HOLE GROWN BIGGER OVER THE PAST DAY. THOUGH MOST OF THE GLASS BROKE INTO SAFETY GLASS-LIKE CHUNKS, THERE WERE SOME FINE SLIVERS IN THE PASSENGER AREA THAT WERE SHARP AND DIFFICULT TO CLEAN UP. *TR
REAR BRAKE PADS WEAR DOWN FAST, THEY REQUIRE A CHANGE AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE THE FRONT BRAKE PADS WEAR DOWN. PADS SHOW UNEVEN WEAR, IT MAYBE A CALIPER DEFECT. *TR
THE REAR BRAKE PADS WERE COMPLETELY WORN DOWN @22,004 MILES WHILE FRONT PADS ARE GREAT (8MMS). I'M A OLD, GOOD DRIVER AND NEVER REPLACE THE BACK BRAKE PADS FIRST. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A SAFETY DEFECT. I KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG! HONDA NEEDS FIX THE BACK BRAKES! *TR
1. I BELIEVE THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM ON 2010 ACCORD HAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT CAUSES THE INBOARD REAR BRAKE PADS TO WEAR UNEVENLY AND TO WEAR FASTER THAN THE OUTBOARD PADS. 2. THE REAR BRAKE PADS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW, ON OCTOBER 7, 2009: THE FIRST REPLACEMENT WAS ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2011 AT 36,365 MILES AND THE SECOND REPLACEMENT WAS ON MARCH 12, 2013 AT 67,699 MILES. 3. MARCH 12, 2013 PAD REPLACEMENT. THE INBOARD PADS ON BOTH SIDES ARE WORN DOWN FAR MORE THAN THE OUTBOARD PADS. ALSO, THE INBOARD PADS ARE WORN UNEVENLY: ONE OF THE INBOARD PADS HAS 2 MM LEFT ON THE END NEAR THE BREAK PAD WEAR INDICATOR & 3 MM LEFT ON THE OTHER END, THE OTHER INBOARD PAD HAS 1 MM LEFT ON THE END NEAR THE BREAK PAD WEAR INDICATOR & 2 MM OF PAD LEFT ON THE OTHER END. THE OUTBOARD PADS ARE WORN EVENLY AND BOTH HAVE 5-6 MM OF PAD REMAINING. 4. THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT! BOTH INBOARD AND OUTBOARD SHOULD WEAR EVENLY AND AT THE SAME RATE AND GIVE MORE THAN 31,000 36,000 MILES OF USEFUL SERVICE. 5. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE CALIPER AND/OR THE CALIPER MECHANISM AND THE EMBEDDED PARKING BRAKE MECHANISM. PERHAPS THE DESIGN OF THE PARKING BRAKE MECHANISM SOMETIMES ALLOWS IT TO NOT RELEASE PROPERLY? MY FEAR IS THAT THIS DESIGN FLAW WILL CAUSE THE REAR BRAKES TO MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING. 6. GENUINE HONDA PARTS WERE INSTALLED WITH BOTH REAR BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENTS AND THE FRONT BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT. THIS VEHICLE HAS A NORMAL MIX OF HIGHWAY AND TOWN DRIVING AND VERY LITTLE STOP-N-GO CITY DRIVING. NEITHER MY WIFE NOR I RIDE THE BRAKES. I BELIEVE NORMAL WEAR, CONSIDERING OUR DRIVING HABITS, FOR THE REAR BRAKES IS 50,000-60,000 MILES.
VEHICLE DRIVEN ABOUT 18,000 MILES AND REAR BRAKE PADS WORE OUT MUCH FASTER THAN USUAL. HONDA SERVICE SAYS THEY ARE 2MM WHERE FRONTS ARE 8MM. FAULTY REAR PADS WEARING OUT FASTER ON THE INSIDE (PISTONS STICKING) THIS INSPECTION DONE IN HONDA ORLANDO AND HONDA AMERICA INSISTS THAT BRAKE PADS ARE FINE DESPITE THE REAR, WHERE THERE IS LEAST WEIGHT WEARS OUT FASTER THAN FRONT, WHERE THE MOST WEIGHT IS ! I MADE MULTIPLE CALLS TO DIFFERENT SERVICE CENTERS AND HONDA AMERICA. THEY JUST SIMPLY DON'T CARE. THEY GOT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE UNTIL YOU BUY A VEHICLE FORM THEM. ONCE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM (EVEN ON A HONDA CERTIFIED VEHICLE) YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT BUY HONDA BREAKS IF YOU REPLACE THEM WITH YOUR BUDGET CAUSE YOU WILL KEEP REPLACING THEM SOON AGAIN. CLEARLY THERE IS A PROBLEM AND HONDA AMERICA HAS BEEN IGNORING IT. I STARTED NOTICING RIGHT LEG PAIN/NUMBNESS WHILE DRIVING MY ,NEW TO ME, 2010 HONDA ACCORD EX HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I THOUGHT I JUST DIDN'T HAVE MY SEAT ADJUSTED PROPERLY. THE PAIN BECAME MUCH WORSE OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, AFFECTING BOTH LEGS AND LEFT HIP, BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS STILL JUST ME UNTIL I RESEARCHED IT. THE REAL PAIN BEGAN AFTER A 3 HOUR TRIP. THE PAIN WAS SO SEVERE THE NEXT MORNING THAT I COULD BARELY WALK AND COULDN'T GET OUT OF PAIN. MY DOCTOR ORDERED AN X-RAY AND THEN A BONE SCAN TO SEE IF THERE WAS A FRACTURE. THE TESTS SHOWED A CONDITION CALLED SPONDYLOLISTHESIS WHERE THE L4 VERTEBRA WAS PUSHED FORWARD ON THE L5 VERTEBRA CAUSING AN IMPINGEMENT OF THE NERVES THAT SUPPLY THE LEGS. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY ONLY RECOURSE WAS TO TRADE THE CAR IN ON ANOTHER VEHICLE(AT A GREAT LOSS TO ME). I HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE. I'VE BEEN TO A DOCTOR, A SPINAL SPECIALIST AND AM STILL GETTING PHYSICAL THERAPY TO ADDRESS THE PAIN AND HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR IN 2 MONTHS. I KNOW THE SEAT CAN BE TAKEN APART AND PLATES REMOVED TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO DRIVE IT BUT THAT DISABLES THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE CAR. THESE SEATS WOULD CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO ME IF I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CAR, IF THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY, I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH A CAR SEAT BEFORE. THESE SEATS ARE NOT JUST UNCOMFORTABLE THEY ARE DANGEROUS AND NEED TO BE RECALLED. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL HONDA CUSTOMER AND WOULD ONLY CONSIDER BUYING A HONDA. THE SEATS IN MY OTHER HONDAS WERE WONDERFUL. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED THAT HONDA WON'T FIX THIS ISSUE. *TR
THE REAR BRAKEPADS ON HONDA ACCORD 2010 WEAR OFF AT 45,000 MILES. I'VE HAD HONDA CIVIC BEFORE AND NO SUCH ISSUE. THE ACCORD HAS POORLY MADE BRAKEPADS AND ACCORDING TO HONDA DEALERS -- THE PADS SHOULD LAST AT LEAST 70,000 MILES. VERY UNHAPPY WITH HONDA -- THEY SETTLED A BRAKEPAD LAWSUIT FOR 2008 AND 2009 MODEL BUT DID NOT FIX THE 2010 MODEL. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,338.
SINCE CHANGING THE BRAKES AT 55000 MILES...I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. ROTORS WERE FINE BUT I HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT IN 3 TIMES FOR WOBBLING IN THE FRONT ...THEY HAVE MACHINED THE ROTORS CHANGED BREAK PADS...DONE EVERYTHING AND IT CONTINUES TO WOBBLE....CHECKED TIE RODS? EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE AND STILL HAVING ISSUES....THEY CLAIM THE BRAKES ARE GETTING HOT....WELL THAT IS A BUNCH OF BULL AS I HAVE LIVED IN AZ WITH HONDAS FOR MY WHOLE LIFE...THIS IS MY 4TH BRAND NEW ONE.....NEVER PROBLEMS LIKE THIS. *TR
IN 2012 (25KMI - TWO YEAR OLD VEHICLE) REQUIRED BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT. 2015 (55K MI REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF REAR BRAKE PADS, ROTORS. IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR EXCESSIVE HEAT AND NON-STOP SQUEAKING. TWO MONTHS LATER, AGAIN, EXCESSIVE HEAT (TOO HOT TO TOUCH RIM). TOOK BACK TO REPAIR SHOP AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE CALIPERS. *TR

THE DEALER FLUSHED THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,146. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 52,562.

THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
REAR BRAKES DIAGNOSED BY HONDA AS "REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION" DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEAR. THIS WITH ONLY 21810 MILES. HONDA CLAIMS WEAR IS AT THE "LOW END OF AVERAGE." I FEEL WEAR IS EXTREMELY PREMATURE. HONDA CLAIMS NO MECHANICAL MANFUNCTION CONTRIBUTED TO THE WEAR AND REPAIRS ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. THIS VEHICLE HAS A NORMAL MIX OF HIGHWAY AND TOWN DRIVING WITH VERY LITTLE CITY DRIVING. *TR
HIGHWAY SPEED VIBRATION AT VARIOUS INTENSITIES, MOSTLY AT SPEEDS OVER 60. CAR SHAKES AND VIBRATES. HONDA DEALERSHIP EVALUATED SITUATION AND NOTED NO PROBLEMS WITH SUSPENSION, REPLACED FRONT AND SIDE MOTOR MOUNTS WITHOUT SOLVING PROBLEM. FACTORY TECH STATED THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN EVALUATED AS "BAD TIRES". CAR HAD PROBLEM WITH PRIOR TIRES AND CURRENT TIRES HAD LESS THAN 2,000 MILES ON THEM. TIRES WERE REBALANCED, ALIGNED AND ROTATED - NO IMPROVEMENT. SAME PROBLEM WITH SECOND CAR (SAME MAKE/MODEL 2008). INTERNET SEARCHING INDICATES THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH 2008 THROUGH AT LEAST 2012 VEHICLES. DEALER TRIED TO TEST THE TIRE ISSUE BY SWAPPING TIRES FROM ANOTHER USED VEHICLE ON THE LOT. THEY TEST DROVE 3 VEHICLES TO FIND ONE BUT ALL THREE HAD THE SAME VIBRATION ISSUE. I THINK THERE IS A DESIGN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND THE PROBLEM IS BEING IGNORED BY HONDA (MUST BE A HUGE ISSUE AND/OR A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX). I HAVE SEEN STATEMENTS THAT THIS IS A "CHARACTERISTIC OF THIS VEHICLE" AND NOTED OTHER SIMILAR EXPLANATIONS. IN MY MIND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING TO EXPERIENCE SERIOUS VIBRATIONS AT HIGH SPEEDS. IT IS ALSO UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING ON HIGH SPEED ROADS AT LOWER SPEEDS TO AVOID THE ISSUE. *TR
