TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY AT 30 MPH. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE ONTO THE SHOULDER WHERE IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED, WHICH WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. HEAD RESTS ON SEATS ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE YOU NEED TO LEAN FORWARD AND DOWN WHILE DRIVING WE REMOVED THE HEAD REST, THOU IT IS A SAFETY FEATURE. *TR
PROBLEM BEGAN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING MY NEW ACCORD EX V-6 COUPE. ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING (E.G. HAVEN'T DRIVEN SINCE THE PRIOR AFTERNOON/EVENING), THE VEHICLE WILL STUTTER WHEN TRANSITIVITY FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR. THIS IS PARTICULARLY EVIDENT WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN/STOPLIGHT. I REPORTED THIS ISSUE TO MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A "KNOWN ISSUE". UPDATED 4/24/2015 *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD UNEXPECTEDLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT A SCREW HAD CHIPPED AN ELECTRICAL WIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
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
I HAVE DEVELOPED SEVERE BACK AND NECK ACHES DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE DRIVERS SEAT. I HAVE ADJUSTED THE SEAT IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE AND THE PROBLEM JUST SEEMS TO GET WORSE. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND PURCHASED IT NEW FROM THE DEALER. I DRIVE ABOUT 140 MILES A DAY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTIONED AS THE WHEELS SEIZED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
SOON AFTER PURCHASING MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD EX-L W/NAV, I BEGAN TO SUFFER SEVERE LOWER BACK PAIN. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ADJUST THIS SEAT INTO A COMFORTABLE DRIVING POSITION. WITHIN 10 MINUTES, MY LEGS AND HIPS BEGIN TO GO NUMB. FATIGUE FORMS IN MY ARMS AND AN ACUTE TIGHTNESS FORMS AT THE ABSE OF MY SPINE. THE SEATS ARE PERFORATED MATTE LEATHER AND THEY GRIP YOU AND CREATE "HOT" SPOTS THAT CAUSE CONSTANT SHIFTING IN YOUR SEAT. IT IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, I MUST CONSTANTLY ADJUST THE SEAT WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I AM FATIGUED AND IN LINGERING PAIN UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, EVEN AFTER ONLY 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER AND ASKED THEM TO BUY THE CAR BACK FROM ME. THEY OFFERED ME APPROXIMATELY $5,500 LESS THAN I SPENT ON THE PURCHASE ONE WEEK EARLIER (WITH 400 MILES ON THE ODOMETER). I REFUSED THEIR OFFER AS I AM UNABLE TO RECOUP THAT LOSS SO I MAY PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR. THEY ALSO CLAIM THEY HAD NEVER HEARD A COMPLAINT LIKE MINE. UNLIKELY, AS THE INTERNET IS FULL OF THIS PARTICULAR COMPLAINT AGAINST HONDA AND MANY OTHER MANUFACTURERS OF LATE. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFELY DRIVABLE AS DESIGNED. AS I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT, THE ELECTRIC POWER STEER FROZE UP. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE STEERING AND ALMOST WENT INTO A BUILDING. ALSO ANOTHER CAR WAS COMING THE OTHER DIRECTION AND HAD TO STOP SHORT JUST SHY OF HITTING MY CAR. IT WORKED AGAIN ONCE I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT. WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE STORE, THE STEERING LOCKED UP AGAIN WHEN I TRY TO GET OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE. I FELT UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP.
THE MEMORY SEAT ADJUSTMENT HAS NEVER WORKED PROPERLY IN MY NEW 2013 HONDA ACCORD XL. THIS ISSUE WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF HONDA. IT WAS ATTRIBUTED TO A SWITCH FAILURE. THE MEMORY SEATS SIMPLY WOULD NOT ADJUST THEMSELVES TO THE DRIVER'S SETTING, IT WAS NECESSARY TO RE-ADJUST THE SEATS MANUALLY. MEMORY SEAT ADJUSTMENT STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY OCT. 2014. I AM ALMOST SORRY I PURCHASED THIS CAR. WHY SHOULD I BE CHARGED FOR A REPLACEMENT SWITCH WHICH IS CLEARLY MANUFACTURER FAILURE? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AND SLOWING DOWN TO APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE AND FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BEFORE SUDDENLY ACCELERATING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH AND REMOVING HIS FOOT OFF THE GASOLINE PEDAL THE VEHICLE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY DOWN SHIFT. THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER AND THE DEFECTS WERE NOT DUPLICATED. NONE OF THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5000.
ONGOING ISSUE. SOMETIMES WHEN I START MY CAR IN THE MORNING, OR WHEN LEAVING THE OFFICE IN THE EVENING, AND PUT IT IN REVERSE AND GIVE IT GAS THE ENGINE REVS, RPMS GO UP, BUT THE CAR WON'T GO. I WILL ROLL DOWN MY DRIVEWAY (IT'S ON AN INCLINE), PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND STILL HAVE THE ISSUE. THEN, WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR WILL RESPOND TO ME GIVING IT GAS AND TAKE OFF. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE! I HAVE ALMOST COLLIDED WITH MY NEIGHBOR BEFORE BECAUSE OF THIS. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE SO THEY CAN'T CHECK IT. IF THE CAR WON'T GO, HOW CAN I TAKE IT TO THEM WHILE I AM EXPERIENCING THE ISSUE? *TR
2013 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO NAVIGATION AND AUDIO SYSTEM ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE FOUND OUT THERE WAS A SOFTWARE FIX FOR THE PROBLEMS HE EXPERIENCED, HE WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ANY INFORMATION FROM THE DEALER OR AMERICAN HONDA. AFTER WASTING OVER FOUR HOURS AT THE DEALERSHIP, WAITING TO GET THE SOFTWARE UPDATE, HE WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TO FIND OUT MOST OF THE PROBLEMS HE EXPERIENCED WERE NOT ADDRESSED AND THAT NEW PROBLEMS EXISTED. THE CONSUMER STATED HE PAID OVER $2,000 FOR THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, ONLY TO DISCOVER THE ROUTES PROVIDED WERE NOT THE QUICKEST OR SHORTEST ROUTES AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMER CALLED THE DEALER, ON AUGUST 21, 2013 TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS ANOTHER SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO GIVE HIM AN ANSWER. THE AUDIO SYSTEM WOULD NOT DISPLAY ID3 TAG INFORMATION FROM SONGS PLAYED FROM THE USB PORT.
UPON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP OR A SPEED UNDER 15 MPH, THE CAR OCCASIONALLY HESITATES FOR 2-4 SECONDS. NEARLY HAVE GOTTEN T-BONED SEVERAL TIMES WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN WELL IN FRONT OF APPROACHING TRAFFIC. HAVE BEEN TO DEALER THREE TIMES. THEY INSTALLED A HARDWARE/SOFTWARE TO THE CVT TO NO AVAIL, BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DUPLICATE, AS IT TYPICALLY HAPPENS ABOUT ONCE A WEEK. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
HEAD RESTS PUSH THE HEAD TOO FAR FORWARD, CAUSING NECK PAIN WHEN SEAT BACK IS AT A NORMAL UPRIGHT, DRIVING POSITION. SEATS ARE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE IN, UNLESS THE SEAT BACK IS SIGNIFICANTLY RECLINED - WHICH POSES AN ISSUE WITH BEING ABLE TO REACH THE STEERING WHEEL AND OTHER CONTROLS EFFECTIVELY. I FIND MYSELF PULLING MYSELF FORWARD WITH THE STEERING WHEEL, SO THAT I CAN SIT UP STRAIGHT WITHOUT THE HEAD REST PUSHING MY HEAD FORWARD. I'M SURE THIS IS NOT THE SAFEST POSITION TO DRIVE IN. *JB
GOT HIT ON PASSENGER SIDE TBONED ON FRONT AND BACK DOORS AND NO DIPLOYMENT I TOOK THE CAR TO HONDA DEALER TO DO THE REPAIR THRU MY INSURANCE DEALER TELLS ME THE SIDE DOORS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND DAMAGE TO THE PILLAR AND NEEDED NEW HINGES. TWO DAYS LATER GO OVER A BUMP AND AIRBAGS DEPLOY. NOT WHEN IM HIT BUT OVER A BUMP THEY DEPLOY ON SAME SIDE THE WORK WAS DONE TO THE PILLAR AND DOORS.TWO DAYS LATER . DONT UNDERSTAND WHY DIPLOYMENT GOING OVER A BUMP BUT NOT WHEN I GOT HIT BY ANOTHER CAR TO THE PASSENGER SIDE PILLAR. *TR
WHEN THE CAR FIRST STARTS UP, AND YOU SHIFT IT INTO DRIVE, THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD RATHER RAPIDLY. IT IS ESPECIALLY BAD WHEN YOU GO FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE
I WAS DRIVING WHEN A HONDA ACCORD CAME TOWARD ME FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WERE EXTREMELY BRIGHT AND CAUSED TEMPORARY BLINDNESS WHEN I SAW THEM. IT TOOK SEVERAL MINUTES FOR THE IMAGE OF THE LIGHTS TO FADE FROM MY VISION. *TR
AFTER HEARING A NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL (SUCH AS A CLICKING NOISE OR SQUEAKING), TURNING IT LEFT AND/OR RIGHT, I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP ON 08/20/2013. THE DEALERSHIP REMOVED THE STEERING WHEEL AND DETERMINED THAT THE CABLE REEL FOR THE AIR BAG WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT RETURN THE VEHICLE TO ME FOR "SAFETY" UNTIL THE PART WAS TO BE REPLACED (AND THE STEERING CONSOLE HAD BEEN DISASSEMBLED). THE DEALER REPLACED THE CABLE REEL ON THE CAR. 2 MONTHS AFTER THE REPAIR, I STARTED HEARING THE SAME NOISE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT/RIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER ON 12/26/2013 WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. THE DEALER INSPECTION DETERMINED THAT THE CABLE REEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN (5,484 MILES). THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT DISASSEMBLE THE STEERING CONSOLE, THEY WOULD ORDER THE REPLACEMENT PART AND I WOULD HAVE TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN AGAIN FOR THE REPLACEMENT WHEN THE PART ARRIVES (THIS IS THE SECOND REPAIR IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS). I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP WHY THIS WAS A RECURRING ISSUE? THEY INDICATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED THEM WITH THE PART AND THEY ARE REPLACING IT ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS. IF THE ISSUE HAPPENS FOR A THIRD TIME, THEY WILL REPORT THIS TO AMERICAN HONDA FOR POSSIBLE ENGINEERING ISSUE AND RECALL. *TR

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,500.

WHEN IT RAINS MODERATE TO HEAVY THE WINDSHIELD WIPER DESIGN CAUSES THE WATER TO BE PULLED BACK ON THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. VISIBILITY IS REDUCED GREATLY AND IS POOR AT BEST. *TR
HI. I JUST NOTICED DURING HEAVY RAIN , MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS PULLING THE WATER BACK ON THE WINDSHIELD AT 55MPG OR ABOVE CAUSING VISIBILITY ISSUES. I HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING STUTTERING WITH MY VEHICLE WHILE ACCELERATING. BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND ISSUES BEGAN AT APPROXIMATELY 500 MILES. TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE SERVICE TECH ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE BUT CLAIMED THEY RAN FULL DIAGNOSTICS AND ASSURED ME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION. TWO WEEKS LATER, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AND DIRECT INJECTION SYSTEM REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FAILED TO REMAIN OPEN WHEN PARKED ON AN INCLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS WORKING UP TO SPECIFICATIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,640.
FIRST INCIDENT WAS APPROX IN AUG, 2013. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ACCELERATING AT 36-40 MPH, CAR STARTING SHUDDERING AND LUNGING FORWARD, LOUD NOISE COMING FROM CAR AND IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. SLOWING DOWN DIDN'T HELP- IT MADE IT SHUDDER MORE. PULLED OFF ROAD THINKING, MAYBE A FLAT TIRE? I STOPPED THE CAR CHECKED AND NOTHING.I WAS SHAKEN UP BECAUSE THE CAR WAS JERKING AND SHUDDERING AND YOU COULDN'T CONTROL IT.I LET IT SIT, WHILE DRIVING HOME, IT HAD DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING TO THE SPEED LIMIT OF 50. IT THEN SHUDDERED AS THE CAR SLOWED DOWN WHEN YOU TOOK YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS, LET IT COAST TO A STOP W/O APPLYING THE BRAKES. TRYING TO ACCELERATE, IT WAS VERY SLUGGISH, THEN IT KICKED IN AND TOOK OFF. AS IF THE A/C WAS ON, STRAINING THE ENGINE. I CALLED THE DEALER AND OF COURSE, COULDN'T DUPLICATE IT. THEY INSISTED NOTHING WAS WRONG AND IT WAS JUST SOME ODD INCIDENT. I KNOW WHAT THE CAR DID. I DROVE IT FOR ALMOST A YEAR, EXPERIENCING THIS OFF AND ON BUT NOT TO THAT DEGREE THE FIRST TIME, WITH THE SHUDDERING WHEN YOU SLOWED DOWN AND THE LACK OF ACCELERATION AND THEN THE "KICK IN"... IT GOT PRETTY BAD IN THE MID PART OF JULY, 2014. THIS WAS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. THE LACK OF ACCELERATION - BIG PROBLEM WITH EXPRESSWAY DRIVING. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY INDICATED A SERVICE BULLETIN HAD BEEN ISSUED. THEY ORDERED A KIT (VALVE?) AND REPLACED THE HARDWARE AND ADJUSTED THE SOFTWARE PER THE RECOMMENDATION OF HONDA.IT SEEMED TO BE FIXED, FOR FIVE DAYS. IT STARTED LOSING ACCELERATION ON THE HIGHWAY, I COULD BARELY GET TO 70 MPH IN VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC. DANGEROUS! I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AGAIN 10 DAYS LATER AND TOLD THEM IT WASN'T FIXED. THE HEAD SERVICE TECH DROVE IT, WONT DUPLICATE. THEY ARE TRYING TO TROUBLESHOOT. I'M CONCERNED THAT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR A YEAR WITH THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION. HAVE SPOKEN WITH 3 HONDA SERVICE ADVISORS THAT HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE ISSUE AND BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY COULD DO. I WAS DRIVING MY BRAND NEW 2013 HONDA ACCORD IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AS IT STARTED TO GET DARK. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME MY WIFE AND I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR AT NIGHT. I WAS STARTLED TO REALIZE THAT IT SEEMED THAT SOMEONE HAD PUT A BLINDFOLD OVER THE TOP PORTION OF OUR EYES. WE COULD NOT SEE ABOVE A CLEARLY DEFINED LINE. BELOW THE LINE; LIGHT, ABOVE THE LINE; TOTAL DARKNESS. I HAD TO TURN ON THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS TO ILLUMINATE THE ROAD ADEQUATELY AHEAD, EVEN AT LOW SPEED. HAVING TO TURN OFF THE HIGH BEAMS WHEN ENCOUNTERING ON-COMING CARS WAS EXTREMELY UNNERVING. THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DO NOT ILLUMINATE ENOUGH TO READ NORMAL STREET AND INFORMATION SIGNS NOR TO SEE AN OBJECT, PERSON, OR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT CROSS YOUR PATH. THE NEXT DAY I CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS PUT ON THE PHONE WITH THE SERVICE INTAKE MANAGER WHO TOLD ME THAT A TECHNICIAN CHECKED THE LIGHTS AND THAT THEY WERE NORMAL AND COULD NOT BE ADJUSTED. I CALLED HONDA AMERICA AND WAS TOLD THAT IF THE DEALER SAID THE LIGHTS WERE NORMAL THEN THERE WAS NOTHING HONDA COULD OR WOULD DO. THE OUTER SEGMENT SHOWS MORE AREA, BUT, TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, IT COMPACTS THE FIELD OF VIEW CAUSING A CONFUSING DISTORTION. I TEST DROVE MANY OTHER MANUFACTURERS' CARS AND THEY COMPLY WITH FEDERAL REGULATIONS WITHOUT SUCH AN OBVIOUS DESIGN PROBLEM I'M 5'4" AND SIT UP STRAIGHT WHEN DRIVING, WHICH MEANS THE HEAD RESTRAINT CONTINUALLY BUMPS OR POKES THE BACK OF MY HEAD WHILE PROVIDING NO BACK SUPPORT AT ALL--WHICH IS ITSELF A SAFETY DEFECT IN A CRASH. SO IS THE FACT THAT IT PUSHES MY HEAD SO FAR FORWARD THAT IT IMPEDES GOOD VISIBILITY WHEN I TURN MY HEAD TO LOOK BACK OVER MY RIGHT SHOULDER. SLUMPING CAUSES BACK, SHOULDER AND NECK PAIN, UNTENABLE ON A ROAD TRIP AND ALSO IMPEDES VISIBILITY. I HAVE READ ONLINE FORUMS IN WHICH DESPERATE HONDA DRIVERS DESCRIBE BENDING THE POSTS OR MAKING OTHER MODIFICATIONS TO RELIEVE THEIR PAIN WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS AND THE CAR IN DRIVE (ITS AN AUTOMATIC), IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY PUSH THE ENGINE START/STOP BUTTON, IT CUTS THE POWER TO THE ENGINE. SO YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY TURN THE CAR OFF, LOOSE POWER TO THE ENGINE AND LOOSE THE POWER STEERING WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND YOU ARE DRIVING. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THIS TO A CAR WITH A KEYED IGNITION WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. ADDITIONALLY, THE ENGINE START/STOP BUTTON IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE AIR CONDITIONING BUTTONS. I WAS TRYING TO ADJUST THE AIR CONDITIONING WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND COULDN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF THE ROAD TO LOOK AT THE AIR CONDITIONING BUTTONS. *TR
