MY VEHICLE STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME FROM BEHIND. AIRBAG LIGHTS CAME ON YET DID NOT DEPLOY. IMPACT CAUSED DAMAGE TO MY CHEST BY THE SEATBELT. IT CAUSED A TISSUE EXPANDER IMPLANTED IN MY RIGHT BREAST TO BE DAMAGED AND RIPPED OUT THE PLACES STITCHED TO ME. THE TE WAS THERE AS PART OF A BREAST CANCER RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS. SURGERY WAS REQUIRED TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE TE. THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED, SENSORS NEEDED REPLACEMENT, AND SEATBELT STRUCTURE ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT.
THE DRIVER WAS TURNING LEFT INTO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND HE COULD NOT TURN. THE VEHICLE WENT OVER THE CURVE AND CRASHED INTO A FIRE HYDRANT. IT PUSHED THE CAR UP IN THE AIR AND BACK DOWN HARD. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. *TR
INITIALLY CAR DROVE FINE AND I DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEMS. OVER THE LAST THREE MONTHS I STARTED EXPERIENCING HESITATION IN THE ACCELERATION. SOMETIMES WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STANDSTILL POSITION I HAVE TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BOARD FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR WOULD MOVE. THE HESITATION MAY LAST APPROX 5 TO 8 SECONDS & THEN JERKINGLY THE CAR WOULD GET INTO PROPER GEAR TO MOVE FORWARD. THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED A KIT ON IT A LEAST TWICE WHICH INITIALLY SEEMED TO HAVE CORRECTED THE PROBLEM BUT AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS RECURRING. ON JUNE 14TH, JUST BEFORE MERGING ON THE HIGHWAY, GOING AT ABOUT 40MPH & CAR SUDDENLY BEGAN A QUICK FORWARD JERKING MOTION & NOT GO ABOVE 40MPH. WHEN ACCELERATOR WAS RELEASED THE JERKING MOTION WOULD DECLINE AS SPEED DECLINED. THIS CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO THE DEALERSHIP. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE SERVICE ADVISOR WE WENT OUT ON THE ROAD BUT THE PROBLEM NEVER MANIFESTED ITSELF. THEY'VE KEPT THE CAR TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT WHAT?S GOING ON. MEANWHILE I AM CAR-LESS. THE CAR IS NO OLDER THAN 16 MONTHS AND I'VE BEEN BACK AND FORTH TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES ALREADY SINCE APRIL AND THEY KEEP SAYING, IT'S NORMAL OR NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN THEY DRIVE OR HOOK IT UP TO THEIR COMPUTERS OR WE CAN'T DIAGNOSE OR FIX A PROBLEM THAT ISN'T HAPPENING WHEN WE DRIVE THE CAR. THE SUPERVISOR FURTHER STATED THAT EVEN IF SOMEONE FROM HONDA HEADQUARTERS CAME THEY WOULD SAY THE SAME THING IF NOTHING HAPPENED AND WOULD GIVE THE KEY BACK TO THEM BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FIX A PROBLEM THAT DOESN'T MANIFEST. I AM NOT ALONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. HONDA NEED TO FIX IT. HONDA KNOWS THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WITH THE INSERTION OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION ON THEIR 2013 ACCORD. WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO FIX IT? THIS IS MY VERY FIRST HONDA EXPERIENCE AND I'M TOTALLY DISSATISFIED. *TR
SUN VISOR ON PASSENGER SIDE KEEPS GOING DOWN BLOCKING VIEW, THAT HAPPENED 3 WEEKS AGO AND LAST THURSDAY THE ONE ON THE DRIVER SIDE BEGAN TO ACT THE SAME WAY... BLOCKING DRIVERS VISION, I AM 6-02 AND REALLY GETS REAL HAZARD WHEN A BUMPY ROAD IS AHEAD OR WHILE DRIVING ENVIER 35 MILES PER HOUR.... *J'S
WHILE COMING TO A STOP IN MY PARKING SPOT, I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, WITH ENGINE SURGE /LOUD NOISE AND THERE WERE NO BRAKES...... CAR PLOWED OVER PARKING SPOT BARRIER, INTO SHRUBS, BALCONY BEAM AND NEIGHBOR'S SCREENED PATIO. THERE IS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE , SHRUBS, NEIGHBOR'S PATIO AND MY BALCONY. THIS WAS A TERRIFYING EVENT. INVESTIGATIONS BY INSURANCE CO AND MECHANIC ARE PENDING AT THIS TIME. *TR
AFTER ABOUT 2 AND A HALF HOURS OF DRIVING, MY BUTT (RIGHT SIDE) AND LEG WOULD HURT UNBEARABLY, TO THE POINT OF ME TWISTING AND TURNING TO GET COMFORTABLE. I WOULD PULL OVER AT A REST STOP, WALK AROUND FOR 10 - 15 MINS, BUT ABOUT 90MINS OF DRIVING LATER THE PAIN IS BACK AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS IN BOTH FRONT SEATS. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE BACK SEATS AS YET. I LIKE THE CAR, BUT THIS IS TERRIBLE.
2013 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE EXPERIENCED TRANSMISSIONS TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, RIGHT FROM THE START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. THE TRANSMISSION HAD A BAD SHUDDER AT TIMES, AND SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WHERE THERE WAS NO ENGAGEMENT IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER REALIZED THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND INSTALLED A KIT IN THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH ONLY SEEMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR A SHORT TIME. IT ALSO CREATED A LEAK IN THE TRANSMISSION AS A SEAL WASN'T PROPERLY INSTALLED. A HONDA REPRESENTATIVE INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE SHUDDER AND STALLED WERE NORMAL. HOWEVER, THE DEALER RODE WITH THE CONSUMER, AND STATED PERHAPS, THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER GETTING NO SATISFACTION FROM ANYONE, THE CONSUMER TRADED THE VEHICLE ON FEBRUARY 10, 2014. *JB
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THIS 2013 SINCE PURCHASE. BROUGHT IT IN TO MIKE SMITH HONDA ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS FOR PROBLEMS SUCH, AS THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE AT TIMES, THE BRAKES SOMETHING IS WRONG (MAKES A NOISE) CAR HAS A SUCTION TO IT,BARELY ACCELERATES WHEN LEAVING A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, ONE TIME IT ACCELERATED TO MUCH AND I LIKE TO HIT THE WALL OF MY GARAGE. FCW LIGHTS SOMES ON SOME TIME FOR NOTHING,, NOISE FROM BEHIND AND UNDER THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING UP AND ABOUT TO PUT IN PARK. AND SOME TIMES WHEN BACKING UP. THE FCW DEFAULTS. OVERALL THIS IS NOT A GOOD RUNNING OR PERFORMANCE CAR. EVERYTIME YOU BRING IT TO THE SHOP THE SERVICEMEN SAID I SORRY BUT THAT IS NORMAL WHEN THEY CAN NOT FIX OR KNOW HOW TO FIX SOMETHING IT IS EASY FOR THEM TO SAY I SORRY THAT IS NORMAL OR YOU GOT TO BRING IT TO THE SHOP WHEN IT IS ACTING UP AT THE TIME. I TOLD THEM THAT IS HARD TO DO IT MAY NOT BE DOING IT WHEN IT IS THERE AT THAT TIME. BUT I THOUGHT THAT WHAT THE MACHINES WERE FOR TO FIND THE PROBLEMS. THE APPEARANCE IS GOOD BUT THE PERFORMANCE IS BAD. HAD THE CAR SEAL FOR BUGS PAID OVER 700.00 THEY DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB OR DID NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE PAID FOR AT ALL. BUGS ARE HARD TO COME OFF OF THE VEHICLE.MAY BE OTHER PROBLEMS BUT THIS IS A FEW THAT COMES TO MIND AT THIS TIME. THE BIGGEST THING IS THE BRAKES AND THE ACCELERATION AND SUCTION OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
FRONT DRIVERS SEAT CAUSES NECK AND BACK ISSUES. NO ADJUSTMENT SEEMS TO ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM. TRY ADDING SEAT AND BACK CUSHION WITH NO RELIEF. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO RESOLUTION OFFERED BY HONDA. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DESIGN ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
TWO MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE, THE NAVI WENT OUT ON THE VEHICLE. THE NAVI WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, MARCH 3RD, THE BACK-UP CAMERA WENT DARK ON THE SCREEN; AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT WORKED AGAIN. MAR 8-10TH, I DROVE THE VEHICLE WITH NO PROBLEMS. MAR 11TH, I WORKED FROM HOME; THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVED DURING THE ENTIRE TIME. THE VEHICLE KEYS REMAINED ON THE KITCHEN TABLE. TUESDAY, MAR 11TH, AT 3:00A.M. (SPOUSE MOVED HIS VEHICLE TO THE STREET) THE VEHICLE WINDOWS WERE ALL CLOSED. I REITERATE, THE KEYS WERE ON THE TABLE AND THE WINDOWS TO THE VEHICLE WERE ALL CLOSED. MAR 12TH, 7:00, ON MY WAY TO WORK, I NOTICED FIRST THAT THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS COMPLETELY ROLLED DOWN AND RAIN HAD POURED IN. WHEN I OPENED THE CAR DOOR, I WAS AMAZED TO SEE THAT ALL OF THE WINDOWS WERE DOWN AND THE SUN ROOF COMPLETELY OPEN. I'VE NEVER EVEN OPENED ALL THE WINDOWS AT THE SAME TIME SINCE OWNING THE VEHICLE. SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING THE CAR, ALL THE SYSTEM LIGHTS CAME ON AND FDS FAILED WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD INDICATOR. I CALLED HONDA, INFORMED THEM OF THE PROBLEM AND THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS LATER INFORMED BY THE SERVICE ASSISTANT THAT BOTH BOXES (I'M GUESSING ELECTRICAL BOXES) HAD A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF WATER IN THEM, SHORTING OUT THE SYSTEM. HONDA IS SEEMINGLY COMFORTABLE WITH SHIFTING THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, E.G., THAT I PROBABLY...LEFT THE WINDOWS OPEN, PRESSED ALL THREE BUTTONS ON THE AUTOMATIC KEY (DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS) OR MAYBE HAD THE KEYS IN MY PURSE AND SOMETHING PUSHED ALL THREE BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY. IN SHORT, THE WINDOW AS WELL AS WHO KNOWS OTHER PARTS WERE AFFECTED BY A MALFUNCTION IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. *TR
WITH THE KEYLESS ENTRY I WAS ABLE TO LEAVE THE CAR IN GEAR, TURN THE CAR OFF AND START TO LEAVE THE CAR WHEN IT STARTED ROLLING DOWNHILL. I HAVE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES WHEN EXITING THE CAR QUICKLY. THE CAR DOES GIVE A SLIGHT BEEP, BUT NOT ENOUGH NOTIFICATION FOR ME TO REALIZE THAT I AM NOT IN PARK. OUR PREVIOUS CAR HAD A KEY AND IF I FORGOT TO PUT IT IN PARK, THE CAR COULD NOT BE TURNED OFF LETTING ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY WHAT I HAD DONE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS HAS CERTAINLY HAPPENED TO OTHER PEOPLE AND SHOULD BE LOOKED AT AS A MAJOR FLAW TO THE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE PAST TWO YEARS. WHEN I SLOW DOWN TO TURN A CORNER, OR SLOW DOWN FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT, GOING AT A SLOW SPEED FROM APPROX. 15 MPH TO 25 MPH, THE CAR APPEARS TO STALL. AS IF THE ENGINE HAS STOPPED. WHEN I PUSH ON THE ACCELERATOR NOTHING HAPPENS. IF I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS, THEN PUSH DOWN AGAIN, THE CAR SURGES AHEAD. I HAVE CALLED THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALER AND THE SERVICE TECH ALWAYS SAYS THAT THEY CHECKED IT AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG. I AM AFRAID THAT ON ONE OF THOSE TIMES THAT THE CAR SUDDENLY LOSES POWER THAT I WILL BE TAILGATED IF THERE IS SOMEONE DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. I AM ALSO AFRAID THAT ONE OF THE TIMES I AGAIN PUT PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL THAT THE CAR MAY SURGE AHEAD TOO FAST AND I MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF OTHER HONDA OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SANE EXPERIENCE. *TR
THERE'S A LOT OF VIBRATION WHEN BRAKING ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. ALSO THERE IS A LEAK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, YOU CAN HEAR THE WIND LIKE IT'S NOT COMPLETELY SEALED.
IN GENERAL I LIKE MY ACCORD 2013; HOWEVER, I HAVE BEEN NOTICING HESITATION AND/OR ABRUPT DOWNSHIFT OF GEAR WHEN I DRIVE BELOW 25 MILES. I WAS SEARCHING FOR THIS ISSUE, FOUND NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. SHAME ON HONDA FOR NOT FIXING THIS ISSUE. I JUST RECOMMENDED TWO OF MY RELATIVES TO BUY TOYOTA, THEY ARE QUICK AT RECALL. *TR
DURING A SNOW STORM IN COLUMBUS, OHIO, WHILE I WAS IN MY HOUSE, MY CAR WINDOWS AUTOMATICALLY ROLLED DOWN, COVERING THE SEATS, SEAT BELTS AND CAR SEATS WITH SNOW. DUE TO A FEATURE OF THE CAR DOCUMENTED IN THE OWNERS MANUAL ON PAGES 128-129, IF THE LOCK BUTTON IS COMPRESSED TWICE WITHIN 10 SECONDS, AND HELD DOWN (E.G., IN A BRIEFCASE OR PURSE WHEN SOMETHING HEAVY LANDS ON IT), THE WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN. THIS WORKS WELL ENOUGH TO TRANSMIT FROM INSIDE A HOUSE TO A DRIVEWAY. I THOUGHT THE CAR WAS ALL LOCKED UP, BUT IT WAS NOT. GOOGLING "HONDA WINDOWS ROLL DOWN" LED ME TO A LITANY OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING HAPPENING, IN SNOW STORMS, RAIN STORMS, ETC. APPARENTLY THE FEATURE IS FOR HOT CLIMATES (TEXAS, CALIFORNIA--OR OHIO IN THE SUMMER), BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. GIVEN HOW DAMAGING THIS CAN BE TO A CAR, IT SEEMS LIKE IT SHOULD BE A FEATURE ONE COULD TURN OFF. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP TOLD ME SHE HAD A CALL FROM A WOMAN THE WEEK BEFORE WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT SHOULD BE EASIER TO KEEP A CAR INTERIOR PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS. HONDA INDICATED THEY HAVE NO PLANS TO ADDRESS THIS IN THE FUTURE. *TR
BROUGHT THE CAR IN COUPLE MONTHS AGO BECAUSE OF VIBRATING PROBLEM. DEALER CHECK AND SAID THAT IT WAS NORMAL. HOWEVER, IT WAS NOT NORMAL AS I KNOW MY CAR. NOW, WITH THE ROUTINES CHECK I NOTED THAT THE OIL IS LEAKING BETWEEN CYLINDER HEAD AND CYLINDER BLOCK WHERE THE ENGINE GASKET IS. *TR
THE DRIVERS SEAT CAUSES SEVERE LOWER BACK PAIN AND ALSO NECK PAIN IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE I CANNOT DRIVE THIS CAR MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. TRIED MULTIPLE SEAT ADJUSTMENTS WITHOUT SUCCESS. VERY DISTRACTED WHILE DRIVING. ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE I WAS DISTRACTED WITH PREOCCUPATION WITH THE SEAT ISSUE. ALSO MY WIFE COMPLAINS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST CAUSES HERE SEVERE NECK PAIN AND STRAIN. *TR
DRIVERS WINDOW WOULD GO HALF WAY UP STOP ON IT'S OWN THEN GO BACK DOWN AND STICK, DRIVERS DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM EITHER INSIDE OR OUT. COULD NOT GET OUT OF CAR, HAD TO CRAWL OVER TO PASS. SIDE AND GET OUT. PASSENGER SIDE DOOR STARTED EXHIBITING THE SAME BEHAVIOR, STILL NOT RESOLVED. DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT IT DOES HAPPEN, SAFETY ISSUE. BACK UP CAMERA WENT BLACK, THEY REPLACED CAMERA, STILL THE COLOR IS OFF AT TIMES, OTHER TIMES IT IS BLACK OR BECOMES DISTORTED, COLOR AT NIGHT IS IN NEGATIVE AT TIMES. SHOWED THEM THE PICS. AND I WAS TOLD IT DOES WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO. BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW, IT SHOULDN'T HAVE THESE PROB. THE DOOR IS THE MOST CONCERNING PART, IF MY CHILD IS IN THE PASS. SIDE SEAT AND I HAVE TO GET THEM OUT, AND THE DOOR DECIDES IT DOESN'T WANT TO OPEN, THEN WE HAVE A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP 8 TO 10 TIMES SINCE FEB. 2015, I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY DON'T SEEM TO HELP, I AM OUT OF OPTIONS. THIS IS ONLY JULY 2015, I NEED HELP IN RESOLVING THIS MATTER WITH THE DOOR, I CAN LIVE WITH THE CAMERA EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY.
HONDA REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE TORQUE CONVERTERS PROBLEM. THE CAR WILL NOT START (MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE) OR AS THEY PUT IT IN THE TSB STARTER GRINDS. THERE IS PROBABLY ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF DEFECTIVE TORQUE CONVERTERS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT ISSUE A RECALL
WHEN CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A LONG PERIOD (OVERNIGHT OR DURING THE DAY WHILE AT WORK) THE CVT TRANSMISSION INITIALLY DOES NOT ENGAGE. THE TACHOMETER SHOWS INCREASED ENGINE REVS BUT THE CAR BARELY MOVES. AFTER ~ 30 SECONDS TRANSMISSION STARTS TO WORK NORMALLY. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY (~ 3 - 4 TIMES PER MONTH). DEALER COULD NOT REPRODUCE PROBLEM (NOT SURPRISING GIVEN FREQUENCY OF OCCURRENCE) AND CLAIMS THERE IS NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE RELIABILITY OF THE TRANSMISSION AND WHETHER THIS PROBLEM WILL MANIFEST ITSELF IN A MORE DANGEROUS SITUATION. *JS
VEHICLE DOES NOT START EASILY. 3-5 IGNITION ATTEMPTS ARE NEEDED TO START IT EVERY TIME. HOWEVER, ONCE IT STARTS EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. THE BATTERY WAS CHECKED BY THE DEALER AND FOUND TO BE FINE. THE PROBLEM IS NOT COLD RELATED AS IT OCCURS EVEN AT 40 F. *TR
WHEN YOU COME TO A ROLLING STOP THEN PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR THERE IS A 2-3 SECOND DELAY BEFORE IT WILL ACCELERATE. THE SERVICE ADVISER SAYS THIS IS COMMON IN ALL 2013 ACCORDS. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. *TT
AFTER STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR SIGN, ACCELERATING FROM THE STOP RESULTS IN A SUDDEN JOLT (JERK) FORWARD. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN OR IT'S YOUR TURN TO GO, SLOWLY PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR DOES NOT CAUSE THE CAR TO MOVE. INSTINCTIVELY YOU PRESS A LITTLE MORE. AS THIS IS OCCURRING, THE RPM WILL STEADILY INCREASE, BUT AGAIN NO FORWARD MOVEMENT OCCURS. AT SOME POINT, TYPICALLY AROUND 2500-3000 RPM'S, THE TRANSMISSION GRABS (KICKS-IN) AND SUDDENLY HURLS YOU FORWARD. THE JOLT CAN BE SO SEVERE THAT YOU TEMPORARILY LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. I OWNED THE CAR 8 MONTHS BEFORE THIS PROBLEM STARTED OCCURRING. NOW IT OCCURS ONCE OR TWICE A DAY. THE HONDA DEALER SAYS THAT THIS IS NORMAL. THIS CANNOT BE NORMAL - IT IS UNSAFE. *TR

WAS BARELY ABLE TO MAKE IT INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE, AND PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED HAD A CAR BEEN FOLLOWING CLOSE BEHIND. ONCE IN THE EMERGENCY LANE, A BURNING ODOR COULD BE SMELLED BY ALL 4 PASSENGERS IN THE CAR. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TIRES. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS WHICH ARE PENDING. THIS CAR HAS THE V6 ENGINE IN IT. I NOTICED A SLIGHT VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING AT ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN THE CAR HAD 6500 MILES ON IT. THEY SAY THE VARIABLE CYLINDER MANAGEMENT (VCM) SYSTEM IS PULSING AT 50 HZ TO SAVE FUEL AND THIS PULSING CAUSES A RESONANCE THAT I AM FEELING AND HEARING. THEY SAY IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THEM. THE VIBRATION AND NOISE NOW OCCURS AT ANY SPEED FROM 15 TO 60 MPH. IN MY EXPERIENCE, ANY MECHANICAL SYSTEM THAT HITS A RESONATE FREQUENCY EVENTUALLY FAILS. THE DEALER'S ONE MECHANIC TOLD ME THIS IS THE WORST HE HAS EVER FELT OR HEARD BUT HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNLESS THE CALIFORNIA BOYS APPROVE IT. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROX. 10MPH, I PRESSED THE ENGINE START/STOP SWITCH AND IT SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN COMPLETELY. AFTER APPLYING MY BRAKES AND COMING TO A FULL STOP, I PUT THE TRANSMISSION BACK INTO PARK AND IT STARTED AUTOMATICALLY BACK UP. THIS EVENT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED BY HONDA AND A SAFETY INTERFACE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AT FULL HIGHWAY SPEEDS POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A SERIOUS AND DEADLY ACCIDENT ASAP. THE ENGINE START/STOP SWITCH IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 2 INCHES AWAY FROM THE AIR CONDITIONING TEMPERATURE CONTROL UP AND DOWN BUTTON SWITCHES. THE DEPRESSION OF THE START/STOP SWITCH COULD OCCUR WHILE DRIVING ATTEMPTING TO CONTROL THE TEMPERATURE OF THE AIR CONDITIONING.
Hoping to take care of the starter grinding on startup for my 2013 Honda Accord V6… It’s a known issue with the 2013-2017 Accord V6 redesigned starter (starter part number 31200-5G0-A02). Honda's fix (TSB 16-002) is yet another redesigned starter (redesign of the redesigned starter part number 31200-5G0-A04 ), plus a one time only one hole rotation of the flywheel. In the TSB 16-002 it states: If replacing the starter with the redesigned starter and rotating the flywheel doesn't work, then the next course of action is to replace the torque converter (which is not cheap and who knows if it’s a good fix…REALLY). I had the starter and engine battery replaced before on this car at a Honda dealership to correct the problem. Needless to say, it did not correct the screeching noises upon pushing the start engine button. The safety of the driver and the occupants will be in peril when being stuck in hazardous weather (storms, heat alert indexes, snow, freezing weather) without the ability to start the car. This is a design flaw that Honda clearly knows about with no solution in sight. I already had this repaired before at a Honda dealership, but it never corrected the problem. Honda needs to initiate a recall since it knows it’s a massive problem by issuing a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 16-002).

ON OCTOBER 9 2013 I HAD GOTTEN UP TO GO TO WORK, AS I GOT UP TO GO TO WORK THAT MORNING I NOTICED THAT THE SEAT. DID NOT MOVE UP WARD. I STARTED TO DRIVE TO WORK BUT I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE IN MY SEATING POSITION. SO AS I WENT TO READJUST THE SEAT THE WHO SEAT SLAMMED TO THE FLOOR OF THE CAR. AND I FELT LIKE A LOWER WHIPLASH TO MY LOWER BACK AND SPINE. THE SEAT FELL BACK AS I WAS DRIVING AND ADJUSTING THE SEAT I ALSO TURNED MY STEERING WHEEL ALMOST INTO THE ON COMING TRAFFIC AND PERSON NEXT TO ME. I REGAINED CONTROL OF MY CAR BUT NOW I WAS SITTING ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF THE SEATS POSITION. I PULLED OVER BECAUSE MY LOWER BACK WAS HURTING AND LOOKED AT THE SEAT. NOTHING HAD BEEN TAMPERED OR TOUCHED. I THEN MANUALLY PUT THE SEAT BACK INTO ITS UPPER POSITION SINCE IT NOW NO LONGER COULD ADJUST WITH THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL. FORWARD, AND BACK AND DOWN YOU COULD STILL MOVE BUT UPWARD NO MORE. AGAIN GOT BACK IN MY CAR ONLY NOW TO JUST MOVE FORWARD A FEW MPH THE SEAT AGAIN FELL BACK DUE TO THE FORWARD MOTION OF THE CAR AND GRAVITY. I TOOK THIS TO THE HONDA BECAUSE IT IS A SERIOUS ISSUE TO SHOCKLEY HONDA ONLY FOR THEM TO SAY THAT IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME $120 TO JUST LOOK AT THE ISSUE. THE DRIVER'S SEAT PUT THE CONSUMER IN AN AWKWARD POSITION AND IMPOSED A LONG DURATION STATIC LOAD ON HIS NECK AND UPPER SPINE. THE CONSUMER STATED HE WAS DISTRACTED BY THE PUSH OF THE HEAD REST, WHICH WAS TOO FAR FORWARD. IT PUSHED HIS HEAD FORWARD FROM A NEUTRAL POSITION BY AT LEAST ONE-HALF INCH. THE UPPER SEAT WAS VERY CONCAVE AND CAUSED TENSION TO HIS UPPER SPINE. FINALLY, THE SHAPE OF THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT BACK FORCED HIM INTO A SLUMPED POSITION WHICH CAUSE LOWER BACK PAIN. WHEN THE LAST REPAIR WAS PERFORMED AT THE DEALER, THEY REVERSED THE HEAD RESTRAINT, WHICH APPARENTLY, WAS COMMON AND UNSAFE, A PRACTICE DEALERS USED TO RESOLVE OWNER COMPLAINTS.
WHEN THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE ON THEY DO NOT SHINE HIGHER THAN 3-4 FEET HIGH. IF A PERSON IS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CAR YOU COULD NOT SEE ABOVE THEIR WAIST. I THINK IT A *TR
I AM FINDING THE DRIVER SEAT IN MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD TO BE UNBEARABLE. I AM 5' 10" AND 160 LBS, AND DRIVE 20 MILES TO WORK, WHICH TAKES AN AVERAGE 35 MINUTES. AS MANY HAVE SAID, THE HEAD RESTS ARE PITCHED TOO FAR FORWARD, CAUSING NECK PAIN. I HAVE TRIED TURNING THE HEAD REST AROUND, BUT THIS ALLOWS TOO MUCH SPACE, AND IS MOST LIKELY VERY DANGEROUS, BUT I HAVE FOUND IT TO BE MORE COMFORTABLE. IN ADDITION, THERE IS NO LUMBAR SUPPORT AT ALL, AND THE UPPER PART OF THE SEAT CURVES YOUR UPPER BODY FORWARD. THE RESULT IS THAT YOUR BODY IS CURVED INTO A C SHAPE, WHICH IS EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE AND PAINFUL. *TR
