GRINDING & SPINNING NOISE WHEN I ATTEMPT TO START THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE WOULD EVENTUALLY START AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS. THIS SHOULD BE TREATED AS A SAFETY ISSUE AS I AM AFRAID ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS COULD CATCH FIRE DUE TO THIS GRINDING AND THE CAR COULD FAIL TO START WHEN INVOLUNTARILY STOPPED ON A BUSY FREEWAY OR IN AN UNSAFE PARKING LOT, PUTTING MY FAMILY AT RISK. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY OTHER TIME I START THE ENGINE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START UNTIL THE SECOND OR THIRD ATTEMPT. I RECALL THAT THIS ISSUE FIRST STARTED HAPPENING PROBABLY ABOUT SIX MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JUNE 2014 BUT I KEPT THINKING THAT IT WAS PROBABLY DUE TO ME NOT PUSHING THE BUTTON PROPERLY AS THIS WAS THE FIRST CAR I OWNED WITH A PUSH BUTTON. THIS IS AN ISSUE HONDA APPARENTLY KNEW ABOUT AND ISSUED A TSB (#16-002) IN 2016 WHEN MY CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND HONDA AND THEIR DEALERS DID NOT DISCLOSE IT TO ME DURING THE MANY ITEMS I TOOK MY CAR TO THEM AND ASKED THEM IF THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE.

I WAS GETTING SERVICE DONE ON MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC RECALL HTTP://WWW.CONSUMERREPORTS.ORG/CRO/NEWS/2014/03/FREE-ENGINE-REPLACEMENT-FOR-2006-2009-HONDA-CIVICS/INDEX.HTM. I WAS GIVEN 2014 HONDA ACCORD AS A LOANER VEHICLE FOR THE PERIOD MY CAR WAS GETTING FIXED AT THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS FOR 3 DAYS. HOWEVER, ON JAN 6TH 2015, WE HAD SNOW IN OUR AREA AND THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS BELOW FREEZING. I HAD THE VEHICLE IN MY GARAGE AND WHEN I LEFT FOR WORK ON JAN 7TH, I HAD BACKED OUT THE CAR FROM THE GARAGE AND WHEN I TURNED ON TO OUR STREET, I HAD NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL A BIT STIFF. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE SNOW ON THE GROUND THAT HAD MADE IT LITTLE DIFFICULT TO TURN. AS I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE ON OUR STREET AT SPEED LESS THAN 10 MPH, I CAME TO THE FIRST TURN THAT I MAKE TO GET TO THE STREET LEADING UP TO THE MAIN STREET. AS I TRIED TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURN, I NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN AND DUE TO SNOW IT STARTED SKIDDING TO MY LEFT. AT SPEED OF LESS THAN 15 MPH AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED, THE VEHICLE SKID TO THE LEFT PAVEMENT. IT CAUSED MINOR SCRATCHES ON THE FRONT LEFT RIM AND CAUSED THE ALIGNMENT TO BE OFF. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AS IT WAS A LOANER VEHICLE AND DEALERSHIP PROCEEDED WITH GETTING 'FRONT SUSPENSION' AND 'STEERING GEAR & LINKAGE' REPLACED THROUGH MY INSURANCE. IT COST ME $750 AS DEDUCTIBLE COST THAT I'VE PAID TO THE DEALERSHIP. UPON RESEARCHING THIS EVENT FURTHER ON THE INTERNET, I FOUND THAT SIMILAR COMPLAINT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR 2013 (MY LOANER VEHICLE IS 2014 MODEL) HONDA ACCORDS THAT HAD SURFACED IN NOV 2014 (HTTP://WWW-ODI.NHTSA.DOT.GOV/ACMS/CS/JAXRS/DOWNLOAD/DOC/UCM466318/INOA-PE14033-1232.PDF). I FEEL THAT THIS ISSUE WITH 2013 HONDA ACCORDS HAS/WILL-BE CONTINUED WITH 2014 HONDA ACCORDS AS THE SYMPTOMS I HAD OBSERVED WERE SIMILAR TO THOSE 2013 HONDA ACCORD. *TR
I WAS STOPPED - WAS HIT HEAD ON BY AN OUT OF CONTROL DRIVER WHOSE CAR SPUN AROUND, HIT MY CAR ON DRIVER'S SIDE AND PUSHED ME INTO A STONE WALL DAMAGING THE CAR ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE ALSO. THE AIRBAG ON MY CAR (DRIVER'S SIDE) DEPLOYED AND I GOT SECOND DEGREE BURNS ON MY WRISTS AND ARMS FROM THE AIRBAG AND AM NOW BEING TREATED AT A BURN CENTER FOR SECOND DEGREE BURNS. I HAD GLOVES ON AND THE BURN WENT THROUGH THE GLOVES PUTTING HOLES IN THEM. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE CRASH CAUSING OVER $11,000.00 DAMAGE TO MY CAR AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY MEDICAL BILLS ARE. I FEEL THIS AIRBAG HAD TO BE DEFECTIVE. IT ALSO CONCERNS ME THAT MY CAR WAS HIT HEAD ON AND ON BOTH SIDES AND ONLY THE AIRBAG ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DEPLOYED. ALL THE AIRBAGS IN THIS CAR MUST BE DEFECTIVE OR CERTAINLY NOT WORKING PROPERLY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT WAS DEFECTIVE. THE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHEN THE TIRES WERE PERFORMING NORMALLY; HOWEVER, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WHEN THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS ACTUALLY LOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER RESET THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD SPORT WITH ONLY 5687 MILES ON IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AS I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH. I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES TO AVOID DRIVING OVER THE CONCRETE BARRIER. I HAVE RECENTLY NOTICED A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, WHICH DISSIPATES AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY SCARY EXPERIENCE. *TR
VIBRATING AND OUT OF BALANCE SOUND SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE. DEALERSHIP WOULD ALWAYS CLAIM THEY COULD NOT "RECREATE THE NOISE" EVEN THOUGH I SAT IN THE CAR WITH THE TECH AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED THERE WAS A SOUND. THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS A FEW TIMES AND KICKED DIFFERENT IDEAS AROUND OF WHAT IT WAS UNTIL COMING TO THE IDEA IT WAS THE TIRES AND THEY'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE. TIRES WERE CHANGED AND STILL HAS A VIBRATION. TIRE TECH AT DISCOUNT TIRES SHOWED ME A SLIGHTLY OFFLINE WHEEL THAT HAS BEEN THE ISSUE SINCE DAY 1. HONDA MUST USE DEFECTIVE PARTS ON THEIR CARS. ANYTHING TO TURN A PROFIT I'M SURE, AND AT SOMEONE ELSE'S EXPENSE AND SAFETY.
DRIVERS SEAT ADJUSTER SWITCH MOUNTING PANEL HAS BROKE OFF TWICE. APPEARS TO BE A POOR DESIGN ON MOUNTING SYSTEM (CLIPS). *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A DEER CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED AS INTENDED, BUT THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND REPAIRED BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,886. ... SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT CAUSES MUSCLE AND NERVE PAIN IN THE RIGHT LEG AND LOWER BACK PAIN AFTER ABOUT 50 MILES. THE SEAT ALSO AFFECTS THE SCIATICA NERVE. NO MATTER THE ADJUSTMENTS MADE ON THE SEAT, IT DOES NOT STOP. THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET WITH THE 2014 ACCORD. *TR

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE WIRING SYSTEM ON THE MOTOR CAUSED BY SQUIRRELS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED . THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,700. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
ENGINE CRANKS BUT FAILS TO START, OR STARTS SLUGGISHLY WITH ROUGH IDLE AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF CRANKING IN COLD WEATHER. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A FUEL PUMP PRESSURE PROBLEM. *TR
RODENT DAMAGE TO GAS LINE, EMISSION SYSTEM, GAS TANK, AND NUMEROUS OTHER PARTS IN AN ACTIVELY DRIVEN CAR (NOT STORED). LEADING TO MAJOR GAS LEAK (HALF A TANK OF GAS IN A DURATION OF A STANDSTILL AT RED LIGHT) THAT PLACED DRIVERS, PASSENGERS, PEDESTRIANS, AND BYSTANDERS' LIFE AT RISK. WOULD'VE LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ENDING IF EXHAUST WAS HOT. GAS SPILLED OVER STRETCH OF 2 BLOCKS, MAJORITY CONCENTRATING AT INTERSECTION BETWEEN HEATH AND MAIN ST. BUFFALO NY, WHICH REQUIRED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO CLEAN UP. 911 WAS CONTACTED FOR PATCHES OF FLAMMABLE GASOLINE, WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN IGNITED FOR NUMEROUS REASONS LEADING TO FATALITY. REASON FOR FILING COMPLIANT. VEHICLE WHICH THIS HAPPENED TO WAS A BRAND NEW 2014 HONDA ACCORD PURCHASED IN JUNE 2014. REPAIRS DENIED TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BY HONDA DEALERSHIP AND AMERICA HONDA. STATING ACCIDENT EVENTS LIKE THIS IS NOT COVERED, AND IS NOT A MECHANICAL DEFECT. TWO CONSERVATIVE REPAIR REQUIRED, STILL NOT FIXED. DYSFUNCTIONAL CAR FOR A PERIOD OF 6 DAYS AND COUNTING. FOR RODENT DAMAGE TO OCCUR IN A BRAND NEW, ACTIVELY DRIVEN CAR IS INDICATIVE OF OBVIOUS FLAWS IN THE DESIGN ITSELF. 1. THE MACHINERY WAS EXPOSED AND UNPROTECTED. 2. THE QUALITY OF BUILT MATERIAL WAS SUBSTANDARD FOR IT TO BE DAMAGED IN A OVERNIGHT SITUATION BY SOME "RODENT" NO LARGER THAN THOSE THAT CAN FIT IN, AND MANEUVER, WITHIN A CONFINED SPACE (SERIOUSLY, I DO NOT BELIEVE A RODENT WOULD RANDOMLY CHOOSE MY CAR ON THE STREET TO SQUEEZE INTO AND JUST BIT A WIRE (NUMEROUS WIRES) WITHOUT PURPOSES OF BUILDING A NEWS OR FOR FOOD). 3. DISPROPORTION BETWEEN THE PRICE PAID FOR THE CAR AND THE QUALITY OF SERVICE WHICH FOLLOWED IT. *TR
TRUNK OPENS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS TWICE A MONTH WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED, IT HAPPENED ONCE WHILE DRIVING. I CAN'T SECURE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN THE TRUNK, OR IF IT RAINS WATER WILL DAMAGE INSIDE TRUNK. *TR
AS I WAS INCHING INTO A PARKING SPACE, WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STARTING RACING AND THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD. BEFORE I COULD PUT ON ENOUGH BRAKING POWER TO STOP IT, I HIT A POLE CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE.THIS RACING HAS OCCURRED ON A NUMBER OF PREVIOUS OCCASIONS BUT I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR BEFORE ANY DAMAGE WAS DONE. THE DEALER HAS LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM SEVERAL TIMES BUT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME. *TR
ON OCTOBER 22 , 2014 I DROVE FROM MY HOME TO MY OFFICE, APPROX 30 MINUTES. THE TEMP OUTSIDE WAS ABOUT FREEZING OR HIGH 30'S. BY THIS TIME THE CAR WOULD NOT GET HOT EVEN ON HIGHEST SETTING OF HEAT. IT WAS BLOWING COLD AIR. I CALLED GWINNETTT PLACE HONDA WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON JUNE 1 2014. THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE FOR OVER TWO HOURS ONLY TO TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 6, THE HEATING SYSTEM WAS BLOWING COLD AIR AGAIN. ON SATURDAY I STILL FELT COLD AIR, SO I CALLED GWINNETT PLACE HONDA . THEY ADVISED ME TO GO TO ANY DEALER, SO I WAS CLOSET TO HONDA MALL OF GA . THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING BUT, WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE CAR FOR A LONGER TIME. I TOOK IT BACK TO GWINNETT PLACE AS IT WAS CLOSET TO MY HOME. ON THE RIDE IN WHICH IS ABOUT 20 MINUTES OR SO, THE HEAT WAS STILL NOT HOT.. HONDA HAS HAD THE VEHICLE SINCE MONDAY NOV 10,2014. AT THE TIME OF THIS COMPLAINT, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HONDA REGARDING THE STATUS. IT'S 8:30PM EST ON THURSDAY NOV 13' 2014. *TR
WE SMELLED FUEL WHEN DRIVING TO CHURCH ON A SUNDAY. THINKING IT WAS SOME LEFTOVER FUEL SPLASHED, WE CONTINUED BUT THEN THE SMELL BECAME REALLY INTENSE. SO WE TURNED AROUND AND RETURNED TOWARD HOME. UPON ENTERING OUR STREET, SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE STALLED TOTALLY OUT AND CAME TO A STOP IN MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! WE ROLLED IT OVER TO THE SIDE, IT IS A NEIGHBORHOOD STREET; THEN STARTED CAR AGAIN AND WENT SLOWLY DOWNHILL TO THE HOUSE; CAR STALLED AGAIN JUST OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE, WE COULD NOT GET IT INTO DRIVEWAY, VERY STRONG FUEL SMELL; WE PUSHED IT TO GET IT PARKED ON THE STREET. TRIED AGAIN LATER THAT DAY TO START THE CAR BUT IT WOULDN'T START, VERY STRONG FUEL SMELL AND GASOLINE LEAKING ONTO THE STREET. CAR TOWED TO HONDA DEALER NEXT DAY; AFTER TECHNICIANS EXAMINED THE CAR THEY CONCLUDED "RODENT DAMAGE" TO THE FUEL LINE LEADING TO THE FUEL TANK. THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY OF THE DAMAGE AS IT "WASN'T MANUFACTURER DEFECT." ALSO CALLED NATIONAL HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OPENED A CASE; BUT THEY WOULD NOT AGREE EITHER TO COVER ANYTHING. WE WERE VERY LUCKY WE WEREN'T ON A HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE WHEN THIS SUDDENLY STALLED OUT, WE COULD HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED AS THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED WITH NO WARNING! THE FUEL LINE LAST PORTION LEADING INTO THE TANK IS MADE OF RUBBER, IT IS NOT METAL OR HARD PLASTIC LIKE THE REST OF THE LINE AND THEREFORE SUBJECT TO SOMETHING SHARP PUNCTURING IT--WHICH IS A DEFECTIVE DESIGN IN OUR VIEW. THE NEW PART THEY PUT ON IS SAME AS THE OLD, THE SAME THING COULD HAPPEN AGAIN. THERE IS NO SHIELD UNDER THE FUEL TANK AREA TO KEEP THINGS FROM UNDERNEATH GETTING UP IN THERE. HONDA SHOULD AT LEAST COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIR (WE PAID $684.09), CAR IS ALMOST BRAND NEW. AND WE BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD, CAR CAN SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. *TR
WINDSHIELD HAS COATING, OR APPEARS TO HAVE INTERNAL LAMINATE DEFECT IN MANUFACTURE. WHEN DAMP OR WET, VISIBILITY IS MADE WORSE BY USE OF WIPERS CAUSING EXTREMELY REDUCED VISIBILITY & EXCESSIVE GLARE FROM OPPOSING TRAFFIC. NIGHT DRIVING IN RAIN IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. *TR
THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THAT I HAVE BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE INSPECTED. I FINALLY GOT MY CAR INSPECTED A THIRD TIME AFTER CONTACTING HONDA CORPORATE. THE STEERING WHEEL HAD TO BE RESET. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE STILL DOES NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT. AFTER AN ALIGNMENT AND THE STEERING WHEEL RESET, THE VEHICLE STILL PULLS TO THE RIGHT. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA CORPORATE AND THEY ARE REALLY USELESS. THEIR MOTTO "HELPFUL HONDA" IS THE BIGGEST LOAD HOT AIR EVER. THEY ARE HAVING SOMEONE FROM HONDA CORPORATE COME TO INSPECT THE CAR NOW. BUT THEY REFUSE TO WORK WITH ME TO TAKE THE CAR BACK, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME FOR IT TO BE BROUGHT FOR SERVICE. I WOULD LIKE TO LODGE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE CURRENT HEADRESTS IN THE 2014 HONDA ACCORD - I AM 5 FOOT 5 AND CAN'T SIT IN THE SEAT FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES WITHOUT EXPERIENCING NECK PAIN. IF A CAR IS GOING UP TO 75 MPH WITH A CAR LENGTH (20') FOR EVERY 10 MPH FCW SHOULD SOUND THE ALARM UP TO 150' AND GOING FASTER THAN THE CAR AHEAD. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT UNDERWENT 3 DAYS OF SERVICE FOR WHAT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A FAILED ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR. THE FCW INDICATOR LIGHT WAS LIT ON MY DASHBOARD, AS WELL AS THE LDW LIGHT, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT, THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) SYSTEM INDICATOR, AND THE VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST (VSA) SYSTEM INDICATOR. IT FELT LIKE THE VEHICLE HAD SHIFTED OUT OF GEAR AND IT COULD NOT GET BACK IN GEAR OR IT COULD NOT ACCELERATE. AFTER 3 SERVICE CALLS, HONDA'S RESPONSE IS ONLY "CANNOT REPLICATE, SO THERE IS NO PROBLEM." THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A SERIOUS PROBLEM. *JS
THE DRIVER DOOR LEAKS WATER INSIDE. IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME! WHEN EVER THERE IS HEAVY RAIN AND I OPEN THE CAR DOOR THERE IS LOT OF WATER BETWEEN DOOR AND DOOR PANELS. I READ ONLINE AND SO MANY OTHERS HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH HONDA. *TR
CAME OUT ONE MORNING TO GO TO WORK AND FOUND ALL FOUR CAR WINDOWS AND SUNROOF SLIGHTLY OPENED. THE W J NODES AND SUNROOF OPENED BY THEMSELVES. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT NIGHT WHICH RAIN ENTERED THE CAR. IT'S A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING GOING BACK 7 YEARS THAT PEOPLE WINDOWS AND SUNROOF WERE OPENED WITHOUT THEM DOING SO. IT'S BEEN OCCURRING IN HONDA AND ACURA MODELS. THEY TRY TO SAY THAT WE MUST HAVE DONE IT BY THE REMOTE; BUT I DON'T USE THE REMOTE, I USE THE CAR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AND THE BLACK BUTTON TO LOCK AND SECURE THE DOOR. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE AND NOT A CONSUMER ISSUE. *TR
SO FAR, NO ACCIDENT, BUT THIS TREND TO DISABLE ACCESS TO THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION, EVEN BY A PASSENGER IS ACTUALLY MORE DANGEROUS THAN PREVIOUSLY. IT'S HIGHLY DISTRACTING TRYING TO USE VOICE NAVIGATION AND IT ALWAYS DOES NOT WORK VERY WELL. THE ALTERNATIVE IS TO USE A SEPARATE HAND HELD GPS OR SMART PHONE, WHICH CAN BE POTENTIALLY MORE DANGEROUS AND DISTRACTING. HAS THERE EVER BEEN A CONTROLLED STUDY THAT DEMONSTRATES DISABLING NAVIGATION ACCESS WHILE DRIVING IS SAFER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE? HAVING USED FACTORY NAVIGATION SYSTEMS FOR OVER 12 YEARS, I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT DISABLING NAVIGATION SYSTEMS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION IS MORE DANGEROUS, AND REPRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD IF ALTERNATIVE ROUTES ARE REQUIRED IN AN EMERGENCY. FOR EXAMPLE, WHAT IF YOU ARE LOST IN A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD, OR SOMEONE IS FOLLOWING YOU? YOU DON'T DARE PULL OVER AND STOP. I THINK THIS ISSUE NEEDS FURTHER ATTENTION. *TR
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS CAR ARE TERRIBLE AT NIGHT. I HAVE PERFECT VISION, UNCORRECTED, AND STILL THERE IS LIKE A STRAIGHT DARK BAR ACROSS WHERE THE TOP OF THE HEADLIGHTS REACH AND NOTHING IS VISIBLE ABOVE THAT POINT. THE HIGH BEAMS ARE A LITTLE BETTER BUT YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN'T ALWAYS DRIVE WITH THEM ON. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE LOW BEAM HEAD LAMPS WERE TOO DIM AND IMPAIRED THE CONTACT'S VISIBILITY. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN ON THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS IN ORDER TO SEE THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50.
