SOMETIMES WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL FROM A STOP I WILL NOT GET POWER AND I'M AFRAID THAT AN ACCIDENT WILL OCCUR WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I BELIEVE THE OXYGEN SENSOR MAY BE THE CAUSE. LACK OF POWER.
TWO TIMES WHILE DRIVING TONIGHT I TRIED TO ADJUST THE HEAT BUT ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT KILLED THE ENGINE. IN ORDER TO START YOU MUST BE IN PARK SO YOU MUST STOP THE VEHICLE BEFORE RESTARTING. THIS HAPPENED IN A SMALL TOWN WITH LIGHT TRAFFIC. IF THIS HAPPENED IN HIGH SPEED HEAVY TRAFFIC THIS SITUATION COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT FOR THE DRIVER OR OTHER DRIVERS. A RECALL SHOULD MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF UNTIL THE CAR IS STOPPED.
ON A SUNDAY MORNING, I STARTED MY CAR IN A DRIVEWAY - TURNED ON THE HEATER AND ALLOWED THE CAR TO WARM UP. WHEN I BEGAN TO BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THERE WAS A BUNCH OF THICK SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD OF THE CAR. THEN, I HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND QUICKLY JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR. A MECHANIC LOOKED AT MY CAR AND DETERMINED THAT THE WATER PUMP FROZE WHICH CAUSED THE ALTERNATOR BELT TO BREAK. THE NEXT DAY, ONCE MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE DETERMINATION WAS CONFIRMED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. BUT, AS TO THIS DAY - I DON'T KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED. DO I HAVE A LEMON OR WILL THIS HAPPEN AGAIN? COULD THIS HAPPEN WHILE I'M DRIVING CAUSING A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT? AFTER ALL, THIS CAR ONLY HAD 18,571 MILES ON IT AND I BOUGHT IT NEW ON MARCH 9, 2014. I AM VERY CONCERNED BECAUSE OF THE UNKNOWN FUTURE SAFETY RISK.
MY CAR HAS A LANE WATCH CAMERA THAT ENGAGES WHEN USING YOUR RIGHT BLINKER. WHEN MAKING AN OUTBOUND CALL, YOU SAY THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU ARE CALLING AND THEN YOU RECEIVE A VERBAL NOTIFICATION "CALLING _____" IF BETWEEN THIS TIME AND THE TIME IT TAKES FOR THE SYSTEM TO INITIATE THE CALL AND DIAL TONE STARTS YOU HAVE TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, WHICH ENGAGES THE LANE WATCH CAMERA, THE CALL IS CANCELED. ONCE YOU'VE TURNED THE CORNER AND THE CAMERA HAS TURNED OFF, IT WILL AGAIN SAY "CALLING ____" HOWEVER IT DOES NOT PERFORM THE CALL AND JUST SITS ON THAT SCREEN. IF YOU LIVE IN A CITY WHERE FREQUENT TURNS ARE A NORMALITY, IF YOU'RE TRYING TO DO SO AND MAKE OUTBOUND CALLS IT'S VERY DIFFICULT AND DISTRACTING AS MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS ARE OFTEN NEEDED TO MAKE THE CALL. I'VE SINCE TURNED OFF THE LANE WATCH CAMERA TO PREVENT IT FROM DISRUPTING OUTBOUND CALLS.
FRONT PASSENGER TIRE BEGAN PREMATURELY CRACKING ALONG THE OUTER SIDEWALL. VEHICLE HAS APPROX 35600 MILES. TIRES CAME NEW WITH VEHICLE.
MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD COUPE HAS 33,900+ MILES AND FOR THE PAST YEAR, I HAVE HAD IT IN TO FOX HONDA IN GRAND RAPIDS FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS, THAT IT STUTTERS OFTEN WHEN ACCELERATING AND TWICE, THE ENGINE HAS STALLED OUT AND HAD TO BE RESTARTED. FOX MOTORS PLUGS A COMPUTER INTO THE CAR AND THEY TELL ME THAT THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF ANY PROBLEMS AND THEY CAN'T FIX WHAT THEY CAN'T DETECT. TWO DAYS AGO, WHILE DRIVING TO THE VA HOSPITAL IN BATTLE CREEK, I PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC ON ANDERSON RD/STREET AND THE CAR STALLED AND A FEDEX SEMI HAD TO DRIVE ONTO SHOULDER AND ONTO A YARD TO KEEP FROM HITTING US AND IF HE HADN'T, WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN KILLED. I TOOK THE CAR INTO FOX MOTORS AND THEY ARE STANDING PAT, REFUSING TO HELP US. THEY DID OFFER TO BUY THE CAR BACK FROM ME, BUT FOR A TERRIBLE PRICE AND I ASKED THEM WHAT THEY WOULD DO WITH IT AND THEY DEALERSHIP MANAGER SAID THAT THEY WOULD RESELL IT WITH CONFIDENCE AND I REFUSED TO SELL IT TO THEM IF THEY WERE GOING TO RESELL IT WITH A SERVICE CERTIFICATION. HOW DARE THEM DO THAT! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT.
HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM IN MY CAR SINCE PURCHASE, I HAD COMPLAINED AND TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER SHIP DUE TO NOISE BEING MADE WHEN BRAKING. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO PROBLEM, BRAKES CONTINUED TO HAVE TROUBLE FUNCTIONING CAR WOULD SHAKE WHEN I WENT TO BRAKE, THIS LEAD TO TOTAL FAILURE. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED WHILE IN MOTION CAUSING ME TO IMPACT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME, THE SYSTEM LOCKED UP AND FAILED TO STOP.
TAKATA RECALL THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN TOO THE FLOOR OF THE SUV. I WAS COMING UP ON A STOP SIGN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE RPM GAUGE FLUCTUATED CONSISTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000.
MY CAR SURGES WHILE DRIVING OCCASIONALLY AND SURGES WHILE STOPPED. I WAS SITTING AT A STOP SIGN WAITING ON TRAFFIC TO PASS BY AND MY CAR SURGED SO HARD THAT IT PUSHED IT OUT A COUPLE INCHES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. READ OTHER COMPLAINTS HERE AND MY CAR ISN'T THE ONLY ONE DOING THIS. I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR.
THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING ALMOST CAUSING A COLLISION. HAD TO RESTART THE CAR TO HAVE THE POWER STEERING KICK BACK ON. HAS FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE REQUIRING MULTIPLE RESTARTS TO (5 OR SIX RESTARTS OF THE CAR TO KICK ON) TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP (GRAINGER HONDA-SAVANNAH GA) ON 9/10/2015. TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE SYMPTOM THROUGH 50+ MILES OF DRIVING. NO FURTHER ACTION WOULD BE TAKE AND THEY WOULD WASH THE CAR AND GIVE ME A TANK OF GAS FOR MY TROUBLE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY.
CAR ACCELERATED WHILE PRESSING THE BRAKE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE EXTERIOR WALL OF THE STORE.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE TURNING AT A CURVE. WELL KNOWN ROAD, IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, UP A HILL. DRIVE IT DAILY. TO AVOID HITTING, CLIMBED ON CURB, , TOOK ENTIRE STRENGTH I HAD TO PUT VEHICLE BACK IN STRAIGHT LINE. AS A RESULT CAR SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE, I PULLED SOME MUSCLES I NEVER KNEW I HAD. I BARELY AVOIDED HITTING THE A BILLBOARD SIGN HEAD ON. I AM GRATEFUL FOR THERE BEING NO PEDESTRIANS ON THE SIDEWALK, AS IT IS CLOSE TO AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. FLUID LEAKED FROM CAR AFTERWARDS. I NEVER HAD ISSUES WITH THE CAR PRIOR, HAD IT FOR A YEAR, A BRAND NEW LEASE. HONDA DEALERSHIP SAID ALL THE DAMAGE IS FROM THE IMPACT TO CURB. CANNOT FIND FAULTS. DANGEROUS SITUATION.
TAKATA RECALL: I WANT TO KNOW IF MY CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. HONDA ADVISED ME THAT I HAVE A TAKATA AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT. I HAVE ASKED IF THIS AIRBAG USES THE AMMONIUM NITRATE PROPELLANT - WHICH IS SUSPECTED TO BE THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM - AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNWILLING TO TELL ME. I HAVE WRITTEN TWO LETTERS TO THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICAN HONDA & HAVE HAD TWO PHONE RESPONSES, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE NOT ANSWERED THE QUESTION. THEY CLEARLY KNOW THE ANSWER AND I WOULD LIKE THEM TO CONFIRM IN WRITING AS TO WHETHER AMMONIUM NITRATE IS USED IN THE AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE.

I WAS DRIVING ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY UPON SLIGHTLY BRAKING A STRONG VIBRATING STARTED FROM THE WHEELS TO THE ENGINE I LOOK INTO HONDA AND PROBLEMS REGARDING THEM WHEN I LOST POWER LIKE A STALL IS RELATED TO ENGINE WHICH CAUSES THE VIBRATING AS WELL AS THE BRAKING VIBRATING IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM WITH HONDA WARP ROTORS WITH ONLY 14,600 MILES SHOULD'NT BE HAVING THESE ISSUES TO EARLY CAUSE IM NORMAL DRIVER ALSOTHE AIRCONDTION BLOWING HOT AIR SCREEN GOING BLACK ON THE DASH BOARD IN AND OUT I PAY ALOT OF MONEY VERY UPSET WITH WHATS HAPPENING OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THIS CAR
FLASHING DASHBOARD: FCW,ENGINE LIGHT ON, STABILIZER CONTROL LIGHT,ABS- ALL THE LIGHTS FLASHING ON DASH BOARD, UNABLE TO START CARD. BRAKE PEDAL VERY HARD. CAR WAS PARKED ON STREET IN FRONT OF HOME. FIFTH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED THE DEALER CLAIMS IT'S THE FOURTH TIME. CAR PROBLEM HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED. THE DEALER BLAMES ALARM DEPARTMENT. THE ALARM DEPARTMENT CLAIMS DEALER ALWAYS BLAMES THEM. HOWEVER, I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THE DEALER, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PERMANENTLY FIXING THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT FIXED THIS PROBLEM SINCE IT BEGAN IN 2015. THIS FALLS INSIDE OF 18 MONTHS LEMON LAW. I AM NOT A MECHANIC BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS IS A ONGOING ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS NOT RECEPTIVE ABOUT IT.
I HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH MY HONDA ACCORD EX-L, 2014. WHILE I WAS DRIVING, MY CAR SHOWED AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASH PANEL. IT SAID "SYSTEM FAILED", AND THE DASH FUNCTIONS BECAME PARALYZED. SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM THE HOOD. IN A FEW MINUTES, THE FRONT PART OF THE CAR WAS IN FLAMES. MOST OF THE CAR WAS BURNED.
MY SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. NOTHING HIT IT; IT JUST EXPLODED.
UPON TRYING TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE HESITATED THEN STALLED. UPON RESTARTING AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE SURGED FORWARD. DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE ENGINE LOST POWER MOMENTARILY THEN REENGAGED. THE A.C./CLIMATE CONTROL IS AGAIN NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, AND THE HANDS-FREE PHONE FUNCTION DISCONNECTED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE CAR WAS TAKEN THE CAR TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK AGO TO HAVE THE AIR CONDITIONING DEFECT REPAIRS COMPLETED. AT THAT TIME THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPAIR THE TRUNK LID THAT HAS BEEN FALLING DOWN SINCE I TOOK POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE IN JULY 2014. THE TRUNK LID FALLS AT WILL.
PULLED INTO PARKING SPOT. AS I SLOWED PRIOR TO SHIFTING TO PARK, THE ENGINE SURGED PROPELLING ME INTO A CEMENT COLUMN. THE FRONT OF MY CAR SUSTAINED APPROXIMATELY $2600 IN DAMAGES.
SUNROOF BLEW OUT WITH A LOUD NOISE, GOING 45 MPH, SUNNY AND DRY ROAD, DAYLIGHT, NO TRUCKS ANYWHERE NEAR MY CAR, NO OVER PASSES IN THAT AREA, BUSHES AND TREES ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, NO PEOPLE IN SIGHT AND LUCKY FOR ME THE ROOF SHADE WAS CLOSED. MA 10/5 *CN
THE VEHICLE IS ABLE TO BE TURNED OFF WITH OUT PUTTING IN PARK. IT IS AN AUTOMATIC WITH PUSH BUTTON START. WHEN STOPPING AT AN ARRIVED LOCATION YOU ARE ABLE TO PUSH THE BUTTON TO TURN OFF YOUR VEHICLE WITH OUT PUTTING IT IN PARK WHICH THEN DISENGAGES THE GEARS. IF YOU HAPPEN TO FORGET TO PUT IT IN PARK AND SHUT THE CAR OFF IN DRIVE WHEN YOU GET OUT, THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL AWAY. ANY OTHER PUSH BUTTON START VEHICLE I HAVE USED WOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN UNTIL IT WAS PLACED IN PARK. ROLL AWAY ISSUES SHOULD AND COULD BE EASILY FIXED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAT IN THE VEHICLE CAUSED THE FORWARD COLLISION AND LANE CHANGE WARNING INDICATORS TO ILLUMINATE. THERE WAS A WARNING ABOUT THE ISSUE IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,500. UPDATED 05/30/17*LJ
I STARTED MY CAR IN PARK WHILE ON A HILL WITH EMERGENCY BRAKE ON. THE CAR STARTED MOVING A SECOND OR TWO BEFORE I RELEASED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. IMMEDIATELY, I LOST MY POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. I STOPPED THE CAR BY PUTTING ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND PUTTING THE TRANS MISSION IN PARK. THE TOTAL TRIP WAS ABOUT 100 YARDS. I NOTICED THAT 5 OR 6 WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON INCLUDING THE BATTERY. THEN I QUICKLY TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. I WAITED FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND EMBARKED ON A 25 MILE TRIP HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND WITHOUT WARNING I FELT MY VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO TURN AS I PREPARED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. I LOOKED AT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND NOTICE MY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING INDICATOR LIGHT ON. I APPLIED EXCESSIVE EFFORT TO GET THE VEHICLE TO TURN AND MANAGE TO STOP IN A PARKING LOT WHERE, I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND STARTED THE ENGINE AGAIN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM FOR A SHORT PERIOD. THE NEXT MORNING WHILE DRIVING TO WORK I ENCOUNTERED THE SAME SITUATION ALMOST CAUSING ME TO HIT A VEHICLE AND CRASH INTO A POND. UPDATED 9/15/15 *LN.... UPDATED 09/30/15*BF UPDATED 11/07/2017*CN
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ON A TUESDAY MORNING AROUND 6:45AM AND I HEARD A LOUD BANG. PULLED BACK MY SUN VISOR FOR SUNROOF AND SAW THAT MY SUNROOF WAS SHATTERED. CLOSED VISOR JUST IN CASE IT WANTED TO BREAK. THEN ALL OFF A SUDDEN I HEARD A LOUD CRASH AND MY VISOR STARTED FLAPPING. ROAD TO WORK HOLDING VISOR WITH ONE HAND AND DRIVING WITH THE OTHER SCARED THE VISOR WAS GOING TO FLY OPEN. GOT TO WORK AND LOOKED AT SUN ROOF AND IT WAS A BIG HOLE IN MY SUNROOF. 75% OF MY SUNROOF WAS MISSING OR GONE.
WHEN PULLING INTO MY PARKING SPACE AT MY CONDO THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND WENT OVER THE PARKING SPACE CEMENT MARKER, OVER THE SHRUBS AND ONTO SIDEWALK. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKES HARD ENOUGH TO STOP THE CAR BEFORE CRASHING INTO THE BUILDING. I JUST NICKED THE EDGE OF THE CEMENT DOORWAY LEADING INTO THE WALKWAY TO MY CONDO BUT IT WAS ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE HOOD TO BUCKLE. THERE WAS SOME DAMAGE TO THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR AND THE TOTAL COST OF REPAIR WAS $5500.00. MA 10/14 UPDATED 11/30/2017*CN
WHEN TRYING TO START MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD LX, I HAVE TO ATTEMPT IT SEVERAL TIMES TURNING THE IGNITION SWITCH BACK AND FORTH BEFORE IT WILL START. SOMETIMES IT STARTS RIGHT AWAY, SOMETIMES IT TAKES 16 TIMES! I TOOK THE HONDA TO THE HOLLER HONDA DEALERSHIP (WHICH IS THE ONLY PLACE I TAKE IT TO FOR SERVICE SINCE I BOUGHT IT) AND THEY ARE STATING IT'S A "STARTER ISSUE" AND THAT IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER THE "POWER TRAIN" WARRANTY AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $495 FOR A NEW STARTER, PLUS $200 LABOR. THE CAR BEING SO NEW DOES NOT HAVE "AFTER MARKET" PARTS AND SO I WOULD HAVE TO BUY IT NEW. MY LAST HONDA ACCORD EX V6 2005 MODEL DIDN'T HAVE ITS STARTER REPLACED UNTIL JULY 2012. SO I KNOW THAT THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECT AND THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!! I'VE EVEN RESEARCHED THE LIFE OF AN AVERAGE STARTER AND MOST OF THEM ARE AT 100K MILES OR 5 YEARS. SO I KNOW HONDA HAS TO HELP ME WITH THIS! I'VE BEEN CALLING HONDA MOTOR CORPORATION IN CALIFORNIA (MICHAEL) AND THE HOLLER HONDA DEALERSHIP IN ORLANDO (MAGGIE NERO - SERVICE MANAGER) AND BOTH OF THEM HAVE BEEN DRAGGING THEIR FEET WITH THIS. ANY INSIGHT ON THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
THE RIGHT TURN CAMERA THAT IS DESIGNED TO HELP ELIMINATE THE BLIND SPOT IS DEACTIVATED DURING HIGH HEAT.,IN PHOENIX AZ "HIGH HEAT" MEANS DIRECT SUNLIGHT AT OVER 85 DEGREES. WHEN I REPORTED THE DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT THIS OUTAGE CREATES FOR THE DRIVERS OF OUR CAR THEY JUST SAID, "YEAH, IT TAKES A WHILE TO COOL OFF." SOMETIMES 15 MINUTES. MEANWHILE I DON'T HAVE THE SAFETY FEATURE I PAID FOR. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW OFTEN MY SAFETY CAMERA SHUTS OFF NOW THAT WE ARE "IN SEASON?" DAILY. LITERALLY EVERY DAY MY RIGHT TURN BLIND SPOT CAMERA SHUTS DOWN WITH A WARNING THAT POPS UP ON THE DASHBOARD THAT ELIMINATES OUR ABILITY TO SEE OTHER WARNING SENSOR LIGHTS. I HONESTLY CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HONDA IS KNOWINGLY ALLOWING THIS DEFECT TO REMAIN. A HIGH HEAT SENSOR GOING OFF AT 85 DEGREE AMBIENT TEMP IS ABSURD. THEY SAID, NOPE...TOTALLY NORMAL. I'D SAY THAT A CAMERA HELPING ELIMINATE THE BLIND SPOT THAT RESULTS IN MANY ACCIDENTS, SHOULD BE WORKING AT ALL TIMES. AGAIN, SHAME ON HONDA. I DON'T KNOW WHERE ELSE TO TURN.
GOING 65MPH ON THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY AT THE TOP OF THE DRISCOL BRIDGE WHEN IT FELT LIKE A 4X4 LANDED ON ,THE ROOF SLIDER WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME HAD THE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED THE A FOOTBALL SIZE HOLE,
I JUST NOTICED TWO HAIRLINE CRACKS IN THE CLEAR PLASTIC THAT COVERS THE FRONT LIGHTS. EACH ONE IS BY THE YELLOW LIGHTS. ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE CAR. AS FAR AS I KNOW, NOTHING HAS HIT THE CAR. THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE.
RIGHT TURN SIGNAL CAMERA WOULD NOT RESET WHEN RIGHT TURN COMPLETED. ALSO HAPPENED IN JANUARY. HAD TO STOP CAR AND RESTART TO GET SYSTEM WORKING (DISPLAY RETURNING TO NORMAL OPERATIONS.)
THIS IS A NIGHTMARE. HONDA ACCORD 2014.LAST NIGHT MY WINDOWS AND SUNROOF AUTOMATICALLY OPENED; THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER RANDOM ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, SEE BELOW. THE OPENING OF THE WINDOWS OCCURRED DURING A RAIN STORM AND MY BRAND NEW HONDA IS FILLED WITH WATER. THE DASH IS BLANK AND THE PHOB KEY RADIO SEARCHING LIGHT IS NOT BLINKING; SO THERE WAS A SHORT THAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN. I WILL NEVER BUY A HONDA AGAIN. IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY OF THE PROBLEMS LISTED BELOW, PAY ATTENTION TO THEM BECAUSE I KEPT THINKING THEY WERE JUST RANDOM LITTLE ISSUES BUT THEY WERE PRECURSORS TO THIS VERY BIG ISSUE. MY CAR IS TOTALED!!! PAY ATTENTION TO THE SMALL STUFF AND SAVE YOUR LIFE AND GET RID OF YOUR CAR. MY TRUNK RANDOMLY OPENED, PARKED AND DRIVING. MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON, EVEN AFTER BEING RESET AND TIRES CHECKED. I'D GET IN MY CAR AND FIND THE SUNROOF PARTIALLY OPENED OVER NIGHT. THERE IS A WEIRD RATTLE IN MY CAR IN THE FRONT AREA, SOUNDS LIKE ITS IN THE DASH BOARD, BUT COULD NEVER ISOLATE IT.
MY SUNROOF AND WINDOWS AUTOMATICALLY OPENED UP ON THEIR OWN ON MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THIS ISSUE COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT SHOULD I BE DRIVING OR CAUSE MY CAR TO BE VANDALIZED SINCE IT IS OPEN "TO THE PUBLIC."
IT WAS AROUND 1:50 PM ON MAY 6 2015, I WAS DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY I75 N 341 EXIT GOING APROXIMATELY 70MPH WHEN ALL OVER SUDDEN A CAR {MINIVAN OR SUV}ON FRONT OF ME HIT OR RAN OVER A BIG PIECE OF A CAR TIRE THAT WAS ON THE ROAD, I SWITHED TO THE RIGHT LANE BUT IS WAS TO LATE THE BIG PIECEC OF TIRE WICH IT WAS PRETTY BIG HIT MY CAR, THE LEFT FRONT HEADLIGHT ARE, HOOD AND BUMPED ON THE WINDSHIELD THEN, IT WHEN OVER THE CAR IT WAS A VERY LOUD NOISE. THAT AREA IN I 75 IS ALWAYS A PROBLEMS THERE IS ALWAYS TIRES AND OTHER MATERIALS IN THAT AREA. NOT TO LONG AGO I WAS DRIVING AND THERE WAS A LONG METAL TUBE ON THE HIGHWAY AND UNFORTUNATELYOTHER CARS AND MY SELF WENT OVER IT.. THE TIRE IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM I THINK, THAT HIGHWAY SHOULD BE KEPT CLEAN FROM ALL THING FOR THE SAFETY OF COMMUTERS.
I'M REACHING OUT TO YOU CONCERNING MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD SPORT VIN #: [XXX]. I RECENTLY HAD A MINOR ACCIDENT AND THE REAR BUMPER WAS SCRATCHED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP TO HAVE THE REAR BUMPER PAINTED. THE REPAIR SHOP CALLED ME AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS MISSING THE ABSORBER ON THE REAR BUMPER, THAT IS THE FOAM PART THAT FITS BETWEEN THE OUTSIDE BUMPER AND THE METAL PLATE. THE PAINT SHOP TOLD ME THAT SOMETIMES NEW VEHICLES ARRIVE AT THE DEALER WITH BUMPERS & SIDE MIRRORS DETACH AND THEY GET ASSEMBLE AT THE DEALER OR ITS POSSIBLE THAT A BATCH OF VEHICLE WERE SHIPPED MISSING THE ABSORBER IN THE BUMPER AREA. IF YOU TOUCH AND PRESS YOUR FINGER IN THE REAR BUMPER YOU FEEL AN AIR SPACE GAP AND THE BUMPER DOES NOT FEEL HARD. WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY, A LOW RUMBLING SOUND SUDDENLY HEARD AND IN A BLINK SAW A TIRE ROLLING IN REAR VIEW MIRROR. A FEW SECOND LATER FLAT TIRE WARNING SIGN CAME UP. THIS ALL HAPPENED WITH 10 SECONDS TIME. I TOOK IMMEDIATE EXIT AND PARK ON SIDE AND FOUND A REAR TIRE WAS RIPPED OFF WITH ABOUT 2,3 INCHES LEFT ON WHEEL. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW 7 MONTHS AGO AND WAS ABOUT 7500 MILES AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. BEFORE THE INCIDENT, ALL TIRES AND CAR HAVE NOT HAVE ANY ISSUE. UPON BEING HANDED THE KEYS TO MY BRAND NEW 2014 HONDA ACCORD I NOTICED A LOT OF SCRATCHES NEAR THE DOORS. I THOUGHT IT ODD SINCE IT'S A KEYLESS ENTRY CAR. THE SALESPERSON AGREED THAT THERE SHOULDN'T BE SCRATCHES, AND SAID THOSE WOULD PROBABLY COME OUT, AND OFFERED ME A COURTESY "BUFFING." AFTER TAKING POSSESSION OF MY NEW CAR, I NOTICED A CLUNKING NOISE WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND PULLING ONTO THE STREET. I ALSO NOTICED IT TOOK MORE WORK TO STEER THE CAR THAN MY OTHER CAR WHICH I BOUGHT NEW FIVE YEARS AGO. I ALSO NOTICED SOME TAPE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FRONT BUMPER THAT HADN'T BEEN REMOVED. IN ADDITION, THE TRUNK LID WASN'T ADJUSTED PROPERLY, SO IT CONTINUALLY FALLS DOWN WHEN I'M AT THE TRUNK AREA. NOW I AM WONDERING IF MY NEW CAR WAS NOT ONLY NOT "DETAILED," BUT NOT PROPERLY INSPECTED BEFORE "DELIVERY." 5/1/2014HESITATION (UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION) OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY AT LOW SPEED. WHEN THE CAR IS AT A LOW SPEED AND MORE POWER IS NEEDED AND THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED THERE IS NO RESPONSE INITIALLY; ACCELERATOR IS THEN PRESSED MORE AND THE CAR THEN ACCELERATES MUCH MORE THAN WAS EXPECTED, RESULTING IN A JERKY, ON/OFF TYPE ACTION. AS I WAS CHANGING LANE AT AROUND 45 MPH ON A SLIGHTLY BENDING RAMP (ARTHURSBURG RD) TO A TWO-LANE HIGHWAY (TACONIC STATE PARKWAY SOUTH BOUND, NEW YORK), MY POWER STEERING SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THE STEERING WHEEL HAS JERKED TO THE LEFT/RIGHT FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS. MY VEHICLE RAN FROM THE RAMP LANE TO THE SIDE OF THE INNER LANE. I WAS TRYING TO STEER AWAY FROM THE INNER LANE TO AVOID A CLASH WITH A MOVING SUV IN THE INNER LANE, BUT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL. INITIALLY, IT SEEMS THE BRAKE DID NOT WORK EITHER. AT THE FINAL MOMENT, I PRESSED THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD TO AVOID A CLASH WITH THE SUV IN INNER LANE. MY CAR STOPPED. LUCKILY, THERE WAS NOT ANY VEHICLE AT OUTER LANE.
