I bought my car, used, in November of 2018 and had to have the battery replaced the following month. That battery stopped working and had to be replaced April of 2020. The same battery is now leaking and needs to be replaced again, now. When I checked the recall list for the 2016 Accord, it shows the batteries are on there; however, when I use the VIN, reports shows it is good. Please review.
THE LED LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED ONE FOR $500 AND NOW IT IS NOT WORKING AGAIN. THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE LIGHTS AND NEED TO BE FIXED. THE LIGHTS COST TOO MUCH TO HAVE TO KEEP REPLACING. PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS ISSUE

LED DAYLIGHT DRIVING SAFETY LIGHTS FAILED AT 44400 MI AND 2 3/4 YEARS OLD (OUT OF ANY WARRANTY) REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF WHOLE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AT A COST OF $736. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY POOR SAFETY DESIGN OF THE LEDS WITH NO MECHANISM FOR REPLACE BEYOND THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE DRIVING LIGHTS FAILED AND THERE WAS NO OBVIOUS INDICATION. OF THE FAILURE.
LED HEADLIGHT STRIPS BURNED OUT WHICH ARE PART OF THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SAFETY FEATURE. DRIVER SIDE REPLACED AT 40K MILES AND PASSENGER SIDE IS NOW OUT AT 60K MILES. HONDA HAS NO COST EFFECTIVE WAY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE.
THE LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR HAS GONE OUT. IT WAS WORKING YESTERDAY, THIS MORNING IT WAS BURNT OUT. THIS IS CONSIDERED A SAFETY LIGHT PER THE SPECIFICATIONS LISTED ON THE INVOICE OR ITEMIZED SPEC SHEET. ALSO ON THE WINDOW STICKER OF THE CAR. MY CAR HAS 52,000 MILES ON IT. EXTENDED WARRANTY IS SAID TO NOT COVER THE ISSUE AND THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT MUST BE REPLACED WHICH WAS QUOTED TO COST ME OVER $1,000. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER ACCORD DRIVERS WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AND HONDA IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. BASED OFF OF THE REVIEWS I HAVE READ AND FROM SEEING IDENTICAL CARS ON THE ROAD WITH BURNT OUT DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS, I AM EXPECTING THE OTHER SIDE TO BURN OUT AS WELL WHICH WOULD END UP BEING OVER $2,000 WORTH OF REPAIRS AND RESULT IN ME HAVING NO DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND IT IS A SAFETY FEATURE OF THE CAR! A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED TO ADDRESS THIS. I, ALONG WITH THE OTHER HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUE, CAN NOT AFFORD $2,000 FOR HEADLIGHTS THAT ARE LIKELY TO JUST BURN OUT AGAIN.
MY CAR HAS CUT OFF ON ME TWICE AND BOTH TIMES ARE AFTER I WENT THROUGH THE CAR WASH. THERE IS A BATTERY SENSOR RECALL THAT WAS FIXED PREVIOUSLY BUT I THINK THAT IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. THE LAST TIME I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED BC IT WOULD NOT START. I HAD TO GET THE CAR JUMPED AND TOOK IT TO GET THE BATTERY TESTED. I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY IS GOOD AND SHOWING 100%.
NOT ABLE TO PASS MY STATE INSPECTION BECAUSE MY LED DAY-TIME RUNNING LIGHTS ON BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT HEADLIGHTS IS BURNT OUT ON BOTTOM TUBING. THIS COULD BE A REOCCURING ISSUE FOR THIS MODEL YEAR AND NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO HONDA FOR A RECALL CLAIM. OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THIS SAME ISSUE AS A DESIGN FLAW AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY HONDA.+
PASSENGER SIDE DRL HAS QUIT WORKING. I AM OUT OF WARRANTY BASED ON MILEAGE NOT MONTHS OF TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. HONDA DEALERSHIP WILL ONLY REPLACE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY (QUOTED AROUND $1,500 FOR 1 SIDE). I HAVE HEARD THAT THERE IS AN UPDATED DESIGN THEY ARE REPLACING THEM WITH. I WILL WAIT FOR THE DRIVER SIDE TO BURN OUT BEFORE CREATING AN ISSUE AT DEALERSHIP LEVEL. MANY COMPLAINTS AND MANY ACCORDS (ALL TRIM LEVELS) WITH THIS ISSUE. MY SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THAT THEY SEE SEVERAL EVERY WEEK! HONDA, DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPLACE THE DESIGN DEFECTIVE LIGHTS AT NO CHARGE!
LIKE MANY OTHERS MY LED PASSENGER SIDE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP HAS FAILED AFTER ONLY 38000 MILES. THIS IS ONLY 2000 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY. I FULLY EXPECT THE OTHER SIDE TO GO OUT AS WELL. I CONTACTED HONDA USA AND THEY BASICALLY BLEW ME OFF AND SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND APPARENTLY HONDA NEEDS THE GOVERNMENT TO REMIND THEM OF IT.
BOTH DRL LED STRIPS ON MY CAR BLEW OUT. HONDA IS NOT WILLING TO COVER OR REPLACE IT. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER HONDA ACCORDS OF THE SAME GENERATION WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OUT ON THE ROAD. THE DEALER AND HONDA REPRESENTATIVE I TALKED TO BOTH ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE, HOWEVER, ARE NOT WILLING TO REMEDY IT.
FRONT HEADLIGHT LED STRIP (USED AS RUNNING LIGHTS) BURNED OUT. THE LED STRIPS ARE NOT ABLE TO BE REPLACED SEPARATELY. THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT UNIT HAS TO BE REPLACED TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. ONE WENT OUT AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, AFTER THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THE OTHER STRIP WENT OUT. HONDA AMERICA OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE IN THE MATTER. VERY DANGEROUS TO NOT HAVE RUNNING LIGHTS. COST TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE LIGHT UNIT (WHICH, AGAIN, IS REQUIRED TO REMEDY THE ISSUE) IS UPWARDS OF $1,500
THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT ON MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD TOURING BECAME HALF BURNT OUT AFTER ONLY 4,000 MILES ON THE CAR. THE DRIVER SIDE WAS FINE, AND THE PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT WITH THE PROBLEM WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, I AM CONCERNED FOR WHEN THE WARRANTY EXPIRES IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR. THIS WOULD CREATE A BROKEN HEADLIGHT THAT WOULD BE OVER $1,000 TO REPLACE ON A PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW $35,000 CAR. I HAVE NOTICED THIS PROBLEM ON ALMOST ALL 2016-2017 BODY STYLE HONDA ACCORDS THAT I PASS ON THE ROAD.
BOTH DRLS ARE DEFECTIVE AT 61,533 MILES. PART OF THE LED STRIP HAS FAILED ON BOTH SIDES. THIS IS A CHRONIC AND COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2016 HONDA ACCORD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE INTERMITTENTLY. SUBURBAN HONDA (25100 HAGGERTY RD, FARMINGTON HILLS, MI 48335, (248) 477-1700) WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE ON MORE THAN TWO OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT REVIEWED TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: 16002 PERTAINING TO THE FLY WHEEL AND STARTER, BUT THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AS THE DEALER INDICATED THAT IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE STARTER AND FLY WHEEL WERE NOT CONNECTING PROPERLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY VEHICLE HAS LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE RIGHT FRONT DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHT WENT OUT. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE WITH LED LIGHTS BEFORE. I WAS SHOCKED TO LEARN THAT THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT UNIT MUST BE REPLACED. AFTER RESEARCHING THE INTERNET AND YOUTUBE I DISCOVERED THIS IS APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM. PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET AND YOUTUBE ARE SAYING THAT HONDA: IS EXPECTING $1200-$1500 PER UNIT REPLACEMENT COST. THAT IS JUST INSANE. I HAVE NEVER PAID MORE THAN $10 FOR ANY AUTOMOTIVE BULB IN MY LIFE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MANUFACTURERS ARE ALLOWED TO USE LED LIGHTING CANNOT BE EASILY REPLACED LIKE VEHICLES FOR THE LAST 100 YEARS. NORMAL PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD $1200-$1500 FOR A BULB. SINCE THIS IS A BURNED-OUT BULB I DON'T SEE THE POINT IN SENDING YOU A PICTURE.
LIKE SO MANY OTHERS, DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (PASSENGER SIDE IN MY CASE) HALF OUT. DISCOVERED AT 48K MILES. IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY. IT'S BEING LOOKED AT BY THE DEALER IN A WEEK. I GUESS WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT - PASSENGER SIDE FAILED
LED DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHT BURNED OUT AT 17.000 MILES.
DRIVER-SIDE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT FAILED IN LESS THAN THREE YEARS OF SERVICE AND 100,000 MILES.
LEFT SIDE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT STRIP DOES NOT LIGHT UP FOR HALF OF ITS LENGTH. THE MEDIAL OR INNER HALF DOES NOT LIGHT UP. I NOTICED THIS AT 41000 MILES ON THE CAR. THE WARRANTY IS 36,000 MILES. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE LIGHT WENT OUT BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED BUT I DID NOT NOTICE IT AT THE TIME.
THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS HAVE A HIGH FAILURE RATE. WE HAD TO REPLACE THEM TWICE BEFORE THE 36,000 MILE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY RAN OUT AND THEY FAILED AGAIN AT 37,000 MILES. THE COST TO REPLACE THIS SAFETY FEATURE IS $1200 FOR ONE SIDE. WE HAVE ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 2.5 YEARS AND THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME WE WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. WE THINK THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT FAIL SO FREQUENTLY AND IF IT DOES IT SHOULDN'T COST SO MUCH TO REPLACE.
THE HEADRESTS PUSH A PASSENGER'S HEAD FORWARD SO A STRAIN IS PUT ON THE NECK AND DOES NOT SUPPORT FROM SHOULDERS UP TO UPPER PART OF HEAD. MY PASSENGER AND MYSELF ARE 5'-6" AND 5'10" TALL. IF DRIVING FOR SEVERAL HOURS THE STRAIN IS UNBEARABLE. I WOULD SUGGEST HONDA REPLACE THE HEADRESTS TO SUPPORT THE HEAD WHEN IN A DRIVING POSITION.
MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD SPORT ONLY HAS 61,000 MILES AND ABOUT A WEEK AGO (OR MAYBE LONGER SINCE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I INSPECTED THE HEADLIGHTS), THE LED LIGHT STRIP ON THE DRIVER SIDE BURNED OUT. I HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FACTORY PROBLEM FROM HONDA AND THE ONLY RECOURSE IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT AT $1100. THIS FEATURE IS SUPPOSED TO BE CONSIDERED A SAFETY FEATURE BY HONDA. I FEEL THIS SHOULD NOT BE A CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE WHEN IT IS OBVIOUSLY A HONDA PROBLEM. A RECALL IS IN ORDER AS AGAIN, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE HAPPENING TO THE HONDA ACCORD WITHIN THE FIRST 1 - 2 YEARS OF PURCHASE.
THE LOWER SECTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. SINCE I KNEW THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH OTHER SIMILAR HONDA'S I'VE SEEN ON THE ROAD AND ONLINE COMPLAINTS, I CONTACTED HONDA NATIONAL TO SEE IF THERE IS AN UPDATED PART NUMBER. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, THE HEAT SINK IS NOT PROPERLY DESIGNED OR SEATED ON THE OEM UNIT WHICH LEADS TO OVERHEATING AND PREMATURE FAILURE. HONDA NATIONAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT WAS OF ABSOLUTELY NO USE. THEY WOULD NOT CONFIRM A MODIFIED PART NUMBER THAT CORRECTED THIS PROBLEM AND REFERRED ME TO THE DEALER. I UNDERSTAND THIS ONE IS UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE OTHER SIDE WILL LIKELY FAIL WITHIN A FEW THOUSAND MILES AND IF THE SAME FAULTY DESIGNED PART IS REPLACED, IT WILL FAIL AGAIN. LED LIGHTS SHOULD NOT FAIL WITH LESS THAN 1,000 HOURS USE. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AND IT'S ALSO SAFETY ISSUES THAT HONDA SHOULD FIX
DAYTIME LED LIGHT STRIP WENT OUT AT 40K MILES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE DRIVER LIGHT WENT OUT AT 35K.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HONDA ACCORD. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND TURNING THE ENGINE OFF, THE BATTERY POWER WOULD DRAIN AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY WITH A NEW BATTERY, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
WHEN TRAVELING DOWN A ROAD STRAIGHT ABOUT 45 MPH THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM FLASHED 'BRAKE' ON THE CLUSTER AND THEN THE THE CAR CAME TO A STOP WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME THAT I COULD SEE. CAR HAS 16000 MILES ON IT AND THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. THE CAR BEHIND ME HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO STOP IN TIME. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG BUT A DIRTY CAMERA CODE SET.
WILL BE REPLACING THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHT BUCKET TO REMEDY AN LED STRIP THAT IS PARTIALLY OUT. IT HAS BEEN OUT FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW. THIS ON A 2016 ACCORD WITH 43K MILES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS AGREED TO REPLACE IT FOR $200. HONDA SEES THIS AS A MAINTENANCE ITEM, NOT COVERED UNDER ANY CURRENT "CAMPAIGN". SEEMS LIKE LIGHTS SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN A COUPLE YEARS. I DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WENT OUT- JUST NOTICED IT A COUPLE MONTHS AGO. PART IS ORDERED, APPOINTMENT FOR REPLACEMENT IS FRIDAY, 11/02/2018
BOTH MY ACCORDS DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS BURNED OUT AFTER 30,000 MILES. IT IS APPARENTLY NOT FIXABLE SO TO FIX THIS WOULD BE A WHOLE NEW HEADLIGHT ? EVERY ACCORD I SEE ON THE ROAD NOW HAS THE DRLS BURNED OUT.. REALLY ANNOYING AND A SAFETY HAZARD AS ALMOST ALL NEWER VEHICLES COME STANDARD WITH THEM AND NOT BURNED OUT ALREADY.. AND COINCIDENTALLY AROUND THE TIME THE WARRANTY RUNS OUT. VERY DISAPPOINTING PLEASE RECALL ASAP. THANKS
A YEAR AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE I HAD TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION ON 5/2017. AFTER THE THE FIRST REPAIR I STARTED TO HAVE ISSUE WITH MY DASH BOARD LIGHTS AND GEAR INDICATOR WOULD SCRAMBLED ON AND OFF. THREE MONTHS LATER I HAD MY VEHICLE WOULDN'T START AND I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. 8/19/2018 THE VEHICLE BROKE DOWN AGAIN. ITS CURRENTLY AT THE SHOP AND THEY ARE SAYING ITS THE TRANSMISSION. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE BROKE DOWN I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SHIFT GEARS.
I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT FIXED IN MY HEADLIGHT UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS WOULD BE A EASY AND INEXPENSIVE REPAIR TO BE SURPRISED WITH THE $1000 CHARGE THAT I AM EXPECTED TO PAY. HONDA HAS CREATED A HEADLIGHT DESIGN THAT FORCES THEIR CUSTOMERS TO PAY AN EXORBANT AMOUNT OF MONEY ON A PART THAT CAN BE PURCHASED FOR UNDER $20.00. I REFUSE TO BE TRAPPED IN A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T CONSIDER THEIR CUSTOMERS FUTURE REPAIRS WHEN DESIGNING A CAR. I CAME TO HONDA LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE VEHICLE AND $1000.00 ON ONE HEADLIGHT IS NO WHERE CONSIDERED AN AFFORDABLE REPAIR FOR AN ITEM THAT IS NOT A MAJOR COMPONENT OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE CREATED A CLAIM AND IF THIS ISSUE CANNOT BE ADDED AS A RECALL I WILL BE ESCALATING THIS MATTER TO CORPORATE LEVEL OR HIGHER.
I WAS DRIVING ON 35-38 MPH IN A 35MPH ZONE. THE ROAD WAS CURVING IN THE FORM OF A C AND MY TIRES STARTED TO SKID. ONCE I APPLIED BRAKES AND I COULDN'T FEEL ANYTHING BRAKING AND ONCE AGAIN APPLIED, THE CAR TURNED 90 DEGREE, STRAIGHTENED OUT ON THE ROAD BUT NOT COMPLETELY MEANING THE CAR WAS STILL GOING FORWARD IN THE DIRECTION ON THE ROAD BUT A 30 DEGREE ANGLE. I COULDN'T CONTROL STEERING OR BRAKES AND HIT A FIRE HYDRANT AT THE END. I ASKED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO CONTACT HONDA FOR DETAILS KNOW THE DIFFERENT CONTROL UNITS AND READING BUT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO GO THAT ROUTE. NOW MY INSURANCE RATE IS UP AND I HAVE 2 POINTS SINCE THE COPS DIDN'T BELIEVE IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE CARS FAULT.
BOTH FRONT HEADLIGHT UNITS HAD THE LED STRIP AT THE BOTTOM AND CONTINUING UP THE SIDE GO OUT. AS THE HEADLIGHT IS ONE COMPLETE UNIT THE LED PORTION CAN NOT BE REPLACED WITHOUT A COMPLETE CHANGE OUT OF THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT UNIT. AN INTERNET SEARCH OF THE PROBLEM SHOWS THE PROBLEM IS VERY VERY VERY COMMON. A CALL TO HONDA CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE GARNERED NO HELP. MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT SHORTLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. COST TO REPLACE EXCEEDS $1,500.
THE LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL) HAVE FAILED AFTER 2 YEARS OF SERVICE. REPLACEMENT OF THE WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED RUNNING $800 - $1500. THERE ARE MANY OF THESE ON THE ROAD WITH THE SAME ISSUE.
DRIVER'S SIDE DAYTIME LED RUNNING LIGHT NO LONGER WORKS AFTER ONLY 65,000 MILES.
DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT LED BURNED OUT AT 52,000. PURCHASED A USED HEADLIGHT AND IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM
AT APPROXIMATELY 33000 MILES THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WHICH ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES HAD TO BE REPLACED. I BELIEVE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM (ONLINE COMPLAINTS). HONDA SHOULD REPLACE OR REPAIR THESE FREE OF CHARGE SINCE IT IS SUCH A WIDESPREAD OCCURRENCE.
DRIVERSIDE DAYTIME LED LIGHTS PARTIALLY BURNED OUT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR VEHICLE AND NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I NOTICED THIS PROBLEM AROUND JULY 20, 2018. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE JUST A BULB REPLACEMENT BUT JUST LEARNED THE WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE CHANGED
MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD LX DRIVER'S SIDE LED RUNNING LIGHT FAILED AT 39,893 MILES. THE LED LIGHT SHOULD NOT OF FAILED THIS SOON AND HONDA SHOULD IDENTIFY THIS PART AS DEFECTIVE. TO REPLACE LED THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED. THE LED IS A RUNNING LIGHT AND IS A CRITICAL TO VEHICLE OPERATION SAFETY. THE LED LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON WHEN THE LIGHT SETTING IS IN THE AUTO POSITION. THE LED LIGHT ALSO HELPS OTHER DRIVERS SEE THE VEHICLE IN ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS. NHTSA SHOULD REPORT NUMBERS TO HONDA AND HONDA SHOULD TAKE ACTION TO FIX THE ISSUE.

DRIVER SIDE LED STRIP WENT OUT AROUND 33K PARTIALLY, DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE 1K TO FIX IT, STATING IT WILL NEED AN ENTIRE NEED HEADLIGHT. LED STRIPS SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 2 1/2, 33K MILES.
WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD THERE IS A SUDDEN ACCELERATION WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE OR FORWARD AND IN MOTION NORMALLY IN A PARKING LOT OR BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE.

DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER ( EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT EXTENDED WARRANTY) AND IT WOULD BE UPWARDS OF $500 OR MORE TO REPLACE SINCE THE WHOLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED. SEROIUSLY??? I HAVE FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN DO YOU DRAW THE LINE AND CALL IT A DEFECT AND ISSUE A RECALL?? THIS FEATURE IS SUPPOSED TO BE CONSIDERED A SAFETY FEATURE BY HONDA. I FEEL THIS SHOULD NOT BE A CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE WHEN IT IS OBVIOUSLY A HONDA PROBLEM.
THE LED RUNNING LIGHTS WAS BURNED OUT EASILY. LED RUNNING LIGHTS IS A SAFETY FEATURES OF THE VEHICLE THAT REQUIRES TO BE ON AT ALL TIMES PER DOT. THERE IS NO OPTION OF REPLACING THE LIGHTS. THE HONDA DEALER WANTS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY.
