My vehicle's right driver seat buckle assembly is failing. My seat belt will not latch making my vehicle unsafe and unlawful to drive in the State of Florida. I first noticed this problem on Friday, February 13, 2026. There is currently a safety recall on my vehicle (2018-2029 Honda Accord). I registered my car through [XXX] and noticed that there were two recalls for my vehicle. The two recalls are the seat belt malfunction and fuel pump, which neither repair has been completed on my vehicle. I contacted the dealership on Monday, February 16, 2026 and advised them that i have a failing seat belt on the driver side. I provided them with my vehicle VIN and they advised that I only qualified for one of the repairs (fuel pump). After speaking with the dealership the seat belt recall was removed from my account. I also contacted the manufacturer and they told me the same thing regarding the recall needed to be associated with my VIN number. The Service Bulletin 23-016 was issued on March 10, 2023 and updated on March 24, 2023, I purchased my vehicle on December 8, 2023. The dealership is refusing to repair the seat belt and requiring me to pay out of pocket because the recall is not attached to my VIN. However, the recall is for all 2018-2019 Honda Accord Models. Due to a current recall in place, I should not have to pay out of pocket. I reviewed the Service Bulletin in detail and I am having the exact problem with my vehicle. I would like to escalate this issue to require Honda to cover the charges for this repair. It is not normal for seat belts to fail, I have seen cars 15-20 years old that do not experience these issues. Even those in the junk yard have working seat belts. So, this is not some random incident it is due to the recall. Due to this being a safety hazard I am seeking your assistance regarding the matter. I have videos and photos but I am not able to upload here due to size. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While driving on a highway in snowy conditions, the vehicle experienced a brief loss of traction and slid across lanes. There was no confirmed collision with another vehicle, object, or obstacle. During this event, the passenger-side curtain airbag and passenger seat airbag deployed unexpectedly. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms indicating any issue with the airbag or safety systems before the incident. After the event, the vehicle was inspected by an authorized dealership. The inspection confirmed that the airbags had deployed; however, no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were found in the system, and no system malfunction was identified. The dealer suggested that “impact seems” to be present based on visual observation, but no specific collision or impact event was confirmed. I expressed concerns about the safety implications of this incident and requested further diagnostic evaluation to determine the specific cause of the airbag deployment. However, no additional diagnostic analysis was performed, and no definitive explanation was provided regarding the triggering event. The cause of the airbag deployment is UNKNOWN. The system activated without a clearly identified impact or recorded fault, raising concern about whether the airbag system may deploy under loss-of-traction conditions without a qualifying collision. This unexpected airbag deployment created a potential safety risk, as it occurred during vehicle instability and could have further impaired driver control or visibility. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
My supplemental restraint system problem keeps appearing on my dash at random times, sometimes will go away then sometimes will stay. I feel this is odd as if something was wrong I want to check it out but I cannot tell and feel this might be a technical error.
See attached document for complaint.
Intermittent “SRS problem see dealer” displays on console. Have not taken it to dealer as forums indicate it’s a common issue but not covered by any warranty.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the SRS and air bag warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that there would be a cost for a diagnostic test. Additionally, the contact was informed that there would be a cost for the repair if the Warranty department denied the claim. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
Everything comes on my dashboard it doesn't let me go in fast than 45 or it will shut off when I am driving and it doesn't let me drive uphill it starts to slow down and stop but if I turn it off and back on it will start off going great and then it will stop working again I have taken it in to hoada and it is gotten me no were please help me
Passenger air bag sensors are faulty. The passenger air bag "off" warning light stays on even when the seat is empty which indicates that the passenger air bag system is compromised. The vehicle is available for inspection.
2019 Honda Accord SRS (supplement restraint system) unit light came on. The dealership informed me that the SRS unit and the driver side airbags are defective. The dealership had the car for a week attempting to figure out the issue and replaced both the SRS unit and the driver side airbags. They gave me the car back and 15 miles later the SRS unit light came back on. There is a safety concern with this because this module is what tells the airbags to deploy properly. And the driver side airbag was defective as well.
Honda is delaying the safety recall and because of that I am loosing money ! Honda is costing my business to loose money ! How this can be handled ? This car also ended up in the crash and now my car value is not the same and I am in negative equity
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the message "Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer" and the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the warning lights were cleared; however, the failure reoccurred persistently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was 69,844.
Seat belt: multiple instances where the seat belth latch does not fully engage causing the seat belt to unlatch while I'm driving. Engine/Fuel: Car bogs down specially with hotter weather. Stalled twice in the past month. when attempted to restart the car, it would crank but it would not be able to fully start. I had my mechanic check the battery, fuses, and even use a scan tool with no issues to be found. The car would eventually start 30-45 minutes after it has cooled down. There is suspicion it is the fuel pump and there is a recall out for this same year, make, and model car but apparently, my VIN was not included in the recall so my local dealer is not able to honor it. I am concerned that this will turn into a bigger problem or worse, that it will happen when I driving down the highway.
My Honda Accord car has warning sign came multiple times . SRS -Airbag LF side impact . B0020-13 Honda dealer has suggested to replace Left side airbag module . I have contacted Honda but he has denied for any recall or repair cost. Vehicle mileage is around 26K and 2019 year model accord.
Supplemental restraint system warning populates in dash board. The vehicle was examined and said the issue lies with passenger seat of 2019 Honda Accord. I have readon to believe this is a safety issue in the event of accident to passenger relating to restraint and release of air bag. Dashboard lights without a passenger present. Suggested to check for recall. Less than 40,000 miles on vehicle and no accident history. This is a safety concern.
Air bag light comes and goes I have friends with the same vehicle having the same issue but there is no recall for it yet
I started my car this morning and I got a message saying Supplemental Passenger Error contact the dealer. Also, this car once a week will brake like if another car is in front of me on a busy highway I travel going home from work. This will cause someone to have a heartache especially when there is a big rig coming at speed behind you. Please look into these problems!
"Supplemental Restraint System Problem. See Your Dealer" and the air bag warning light was turned on multiple times. Upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the warning lights are not turned on sometimes. But at random times, the failure reoccurred persistently. Noticed that my vehicle has 5 different Recalls but my VIN only has one recall needed(?). Managed to figure out that the SRS system is faulty due to the front passenger's belt buckle being stuck sometimes. Dealership won't let me replace the belt buckle for free since my VIN is not part of the recall process. Faulty SRS won't work if accident occurs and driver is at the risk always. Also, during driving there is a weird struting noise that happens behind the steering wheel. Can't seem to make out what or where the noise is coming from.
Airbag light came on two times (December 21 @4:38 pm & 29 @10:41 am 2022) and each time vehicle was taken in for service. The warning lights comes on & it reads, "supplemental restraint system problem, see your dealer". The mechanic believe it is due to a chip in the dashboard - they have not confirmed. A recall should be issued, because the orange indicator light stay lite and the reason for the "airbag indicator light" malfunction, needs to be addressed.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH with activated cruise control, the vehicle independently came to a complete stop as a brake warning light flashed on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, the contact was hit from behind by another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact suffered whiplash as a result of the crash; however, no medical attention was given at the scene. The contact spoke with a doctor and received a prescription for her neck pain. A police report was filed at the scene. The contact was able to drive the vehicle home from the scene but later had the vehicle towed to an independent body shop. The contact notified the manufacturer about the failure; the manufacturer denied that the failure was caused by a mechanical failure and believed the failure was caused by a driver error. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000
