WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A LOUD NOISE. MANUFACTURER TOLD OWNER THAT IT WAS A LUBRICATING PROBLEM AND THEY HAD NO WAY OF REPAIRING IT. *AK
THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE ALLOWS WATER TO BLOCK DRIVER'S VIEW ON OUTSIDE MIRRORS AS WELL AS WINDOWS. THE CONSUMER FEELS THIS IS A SERIOUS VISIBILITY HAZARD.
SUN VISOR IS TOO SMALL AND OWNER FEELS IT'S INSUFFICIENT.
POWER WINDOW MOTOR FAILED.
BRAKE BOOT FAILED.
JACK COLLAPSED WHILE CHANGING TIRE.

FLOOR MATS GET LODGED UNDER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL CAUSING UNWANTED ACCELERATION.
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS INCLUDING: BRAKE FAILURE, TRANSMISSION FAILURE - CAUSING IT TO STALL AND START ON OCCASIONS, TIRE BLOWOUTS, THE ELECTRONIC DOORS, WINDOWS AND LOCKS MALFUNCTION, AND AN AIR CONDITIONER THAT DOES NOT DRAIN PROPERLY CAUSING EXCESSIVE MOLD GROWTH.

CAR SUDDENLY PULLED TO THE LEFT CAUSING DRIVER TO HIT THE SIDE OF A BRIDGE.

PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR MAT PUSHES UNDER THE DASH, CAUSING AIR CODITIONER DRAIN HOSE TO DISCONNECT AND LEAK ONT INTERIOR CARPET, CONSUMER DOES NOT HAVE CIVIC ORIGINAL MATS WHICH IS UNDER RECALL AT THIS TIME RECALL # 99-E-015-000. ----------------PLEASE ADD VIN.#-----------------
ACCELERATOR GETS STUCK AFTER ACCELERATION , CAUSING ALOT OF WEAR ON THE BRAKES. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED ON IT SLIPS PAST THE CORRECT POSITION , CAUSING ENGINE TO RACE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
PARKING BRAKE BUTTON SEEMS TO STICK "IN". WORRIED THE PARKING BRAKE WILL FAIL.
MY ABS- AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHT APPEARED ON MY DASHBOARD AROUND 55,000 MILES. MY HONDA HAS NOT HAD ANY PROBEMS WHAT SO EVER. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN A WRECK OR SLIGHT FENDER BENDER. YET SOMEHOW MY AIRBAG DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. I TOOK MY VEH. TO THE DLRSHIP AND THEY ADVISE ME MY AIRBAG MOTOR DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE AND I WOULD NEED A NEW AIRBAG MOTOR. MY MOTHER HAS THE SAME YR/MAKE AS MY VEHICLE AS SHE ALSO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM W/ HER ABS LIGHT BEING ON. THE REASON I AM REPORTING THIS IS IT SEEMS ODD SINCE THE ONLY TIME THE HOOD IS EVER OPENED IS FOR AN OIL CHANGE OR GENERAL WORK TO BE COMPLETED AND NOW SOMEHOW MY AIRBAG MOTOR DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE LEVER WILL NOT REMAIN IN THE SET POSITION, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ROLL. DEALER REPLACED THE SPRING INSIDE THE LEVER MECHANISM WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
1996 HONDA CIVIC DX EXPERIENCES STICKY ACCELERATION, MUST APPLY CONSIDERABLE PRESSURE TO ACCELATOR WHEN STOPPED WHICH CAUSES CAR TO LUNGE FORWARD. THIS WAS REPORTED TO DEALER WHILE UNDER WARRANTY AND APPEARED TO BE CORRECTED, BUT CONDITION REAPPEARED. CAR WAS RECALLED FOR FUEL THROTTLE AND REPAIRED, BUT THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE STICKY ACCELERATOR. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE DOES NOT ENGAGE MOST OF THE TIME. THE BUTTON TO RELEASE THE BRAKE STAYS IN WHICH KEEPS THE BRAKE DISENGAGED. THE WINDSHIELD WHISTLES AT ROAD SPEEDS.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON, INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG IS DISFUNCTIONING AND RECENTLY THE HORN AND THE CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING TOO. *AK

DONT UNDERSTAND WHY I NEED A NEW ENGINE WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE, I KEEP GOOD C ARE OF MY CAR TOO! *AK
DRIVER SIDE ELECTRIC WINDOW OFF TRACK.*AK
I AM WRITING TO REPORT A PROBLEM WITH MY EVENFLO ON MY WAY POSITION RIGHT CARSEAT, NOT MY CAR. WE PURCHASED THIS FOR OUR FIRST CHILD AND HAD USED IT LESS THAN 3 MONTHS WHEN IT BROKE! WE WERE SIMPLY TIGHTENING THE SHOULDER HARNESSES, BY PULLING THE STRAP FROM BEHIND, WHEN THE PLASTIC LEVER PIECE (THAT YOU WOULD PUSH DOWN ON TO RELEASE MORE HARNESS) BROKE! IT SNAPPED RIGHT OFF. IT REALLY SCARED ME BECAUSE I HAD TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER IN THE BROKEN CARSEAT TO THE STORE (A 40 MINUTE DRIVE) IN ORDER TO EXCHANGE THIS BROKEN SEAT FOR A NEW ONE. LATER, I GOT IN THE MAIL A BROCHURE FROM EVENFLO SAYING THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. IF THEY WERE AWARE OF IT, WHY DIDN'T THEY DO SOMETHING PRO-ACTIVE -- LIKE RECALLING THESE SEATS AND GIVING US NEW ONES, ONES THAT ARE SAFE AND WON'T BREAK? ALSO, ON OUR REPLACED SEAT, IT IS POSSIBLE TO ACCIDENTALLY PULL THE HARNESSES TOO LOOSE AND THE END OF THE HARNESS COMES THROUGH THE PLASTIC LEVER ON THE BACK. THEN YOU CAN'T TIGHTEN THE HARNESS AGAIN AT ALL! THIS IS NOT A SAFE SEAT IN TERMS OF ITS SHOULDER HARNESS ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM.*AK
AFTER SLOWING TO MAKE A TURN OR OTHER MANEUVER, TRANSMISSION SHIFTS ROUGHLY AS YOU ACCELERATE UNLESS THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY. I'M ASSUMING THE CAR IS DOWNSHIFTED TO 1ST OR 2ND GEAR, BUT THERE'S A VIOLENT JERK AS YOU INCREASE THE SPEED FROM THERE AND I'M AFRAID THIS MIGHT HARM MY TRANSMISSION, SO I TRY TO "BABY" IT, BUT I HATE THAT I CAN'T ACCELERATE NORMALLY.
THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL BECAUSE THE PINION GEAR IN THE RACK AND PINION STEERING BROKE.THE DEFECT WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION. *YH
WHEN PRESSING ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL IT WOULD STICK. VEHICLE WOULD SUDDENLY JERK FORWARD OR REVERSE, IF PRESSED TOO HARD. WHENEVER THIS HAPPENS, VEHICLE WOULD RUN ROUGH.*AK *SLC
LOSS OF CONTROL DUE TO DRIVING DURING EXTENSIVE RAIN CONDITIONS. CAR IS BUILT TOO CLOSE TO THE ROAD AND EXCESSIVE WATER ON THE ROAD HAS NO PLACE TO GO EXCEPT UNDER THE CAR. LOST CONTROL EVERY TIME OVER 40MPH, EVEN WITH NEW TIRES. TRADED CAR. TOO AFRAID TO DRIVE IN HEAVY RAIN. ALSO SAW A FATILITY ON THE NEWS ABOUT LOSS OF CONTROL IN HEAVY RAIN WITH A HONDA CIVIC SEDAN. *AK
ENGINE FAILED DUE TO FAULTY KEY MOUNT ON CRANKSHAFT, AND 2 BELTS CAME OFF PULLEY, VEHICLE LOSS CONTROL RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. ALSO, REPLACED WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER, EXHAUST SYSTEM, THROTTLE CABLE, EMISSIONS, AXLES, BRAKES, CV BOOTS, AND FLOOR MAT. *AK 8JB
KEY MOUNT FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO MOVE OUT OF PLACE AND THE CRANKSHAFT TO BE DAMAGED. *TT *JB
