3 out of 4 doors have stopped opening from the outside. The locks still work properly and have no effect on the outside door handles. The doors still open just fine from the inside, except for the driver door. The driver door will not open at all, which is a major safety issue and should have been recalled, especially since the door handles are well known issue for Hondas. Although the car does have minor damages to the body, the door handles have not been affected at all by them. This seems to be an issue that lies inside the door panel itself.
I left work as usual when shortly after near my work I began to smell a strong gasoline smell and I parked to check the vehicle when I turned off the vehicle it made a slight explosion and caught fire
Was in a car accident and the airbags did not deploy. I was diagnosed with a fractured sternum as my chest hit the steering wheel
The contact owns a 1999 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle lost electrical power inadvertently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring. Additionally, the contact stated that the instrument panel lights were no longer illuminated while starting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the ignition switch was corroded at the contact point. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and several other unknown dealers were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
While driving on the highway car engine shut off and completely lost power. After getting on to the shoulder car would not start, electric windows would not operate. Approximately 30 minutes later car started and made it home on city streets. Have not driven it since. Checked and did not find any recalls on this.
You listed this VIN as having an airbag recall repair pending. I setup an appointment at the dealer. They went through the motions of doing the replacement and gave me paperwork indicating they had serviced the recall, but I believe you had lied to me and they are lying to me about the recall. This VIN does not correspond to an airbag recall according to multiple other sources. I recently inspected the passenger airbag it definitely not new. That is what clued me to begin checking further. I don't believe they replaced the driver airbag either. In the mean time I had to take buses to and from the dealership, after work, at night, in the rain, in the middle of this Omicron Covid spike. You an the dealer endangered my health and I want to know why and who is responsible.
Air condition unit stop working the smell of smoke.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 1999 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING WEST BOUND AT 45 MPH, THERE WAS ANOTHER VEHICLE WHO HAD JUMPED INTO THE LEFT LANE WITHOUT USING HIS TURN SIGNAL. THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE INTO THE LEFT LANE AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT COLLIDED WITH THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED TWO FRACTURED RIB, SHOULDER AND CONCUSSION DUE TO HIS HEAD COLLIDED WITH THE STEERING THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAINED INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS PROPERTY DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE CONTACT INSURANCE DEEMED THE VEHICLE AS TOTALED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V026000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.

I HAVE CALLED THE HONDA DEALER IN DUBLIN, CA SEVERAL TIMES OVER A SPAN OF SEVERAL TIMES. EACH TIME HONDA SERVICE DUBLIN HAS ADVISED THE AIRBAG INFLATOR PART IS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER APPROXIMATELY THREE MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (VANDERGRIFF HONDA 1104 W INTERSTATE 20 W, ARLINGTON, TX 76017) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE. LOOSE IGNITION SWITCH TURNS CAR OFF WHILE DRIVING
I HAVE NOTICED THE AIR BAG RECALL BEFORE, BUT 1999 MODELS ARE EXCLUDED NOW. IS THS A LEGAL BATTLE WON BY THE MANUFACTURER? CAN I BE MORE CERTAIN THAT MY CAR IS SAFE? MIGHT THE AIR BAG KILL ME YET?
THIS LETTER IS IN REFERENCE TO A SET OF 4 COOPER GLS TOURING TIRES PURCHASED FROM NTB, CLOVER, SC. TIRE INFORMATION (COOPER GLS TOURING, 185/65R 14 86T, U96L1DR0917, 1 EACH AND U96L1DR1116, 3 EACH) WITHIN A FEW MONTHS OF PURCHASING THE TIRES, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE DEVELOPED A SLOW LEAK TAKING SEVERAL DAYS TO DEFLATE. ON 12/16/2018, I WAS IN HAMPTON, VA WHEN THE TIRE DEVELOPED A MORE SERIOUS LEAK AND DEFLATED WITHIN A FEW HOURS. I WAS UNABLE TO RETURN TO THE CLOVER, SC LOCATION ON THIS TIRE AND TOOK IT TO THE HAMPTON, VA LOCATION WHERE THE TIRE WAS PATCHED. HOWEVER, WITHIN A FEW WEEKS THE SLOW LEAK RETURNED WHICH PROGRESSED INTO A FASTER LEAK OVER TIME. I RETURNED THE TIRE TO THE CLOVER, SC LOCATION WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THE TIRE BALANCING WEIGHT HAD BROKEN THE BEAD AND THAT WAS THE LOCATION OF THE LEAK. AT THIS TIME IT SEEMED THAT THE TIRE PROBLEMS HAD BEEN SUCCESSFULLY ADDRESSED. HOWEVER, ON 6/16/2019 THIS TIRE SUFFERED A SUDDEN CATASTROPHIC DEFLATION WHILE PARKED IN THE PARKING LOT OF WALMART IN OSAGE BEACH, MO. I REMOVED THE TIRE AND WALKED INSIDE THE TIRE CENTER OF WALMART WHERE IT WAS REPLACED. NOTE THAT THE TIRE WAS EXAMINED AND NO EXTERNAL PUNCTURE OR SIDE WALL DAMAGE WAS PRESENT. THIS TIRE SUFFERED SUDDEN CATASTROPHIC DEFLATION WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED AND WITHOUT ANY EXTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE TIRE. ON 7/11/2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:00 PM, THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT TIRE SUFFERED A SUDDEN CATASTROPHIC DEFLATION WHEN THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN NORTH ON I-77 NEAR ELKIN, NC. AT THIS TIME THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN AT HIGHWAY. NTB IN CHRISTIANSBURG, VA WOULD NOT WARRANTY THE TIRE AND I PURCHASED ANOTHER. DURING THIS VISIT THE NTB TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME A THIRD TIRE HAS AN INTERNAL DEFECT (BUSTED BELT). AT THIS TIME 3 OF THE 4 TIRES HAVE EITHER FAILED OR HAVE AN INTERNAL DEFECT.
ENGINE PERIODICALLY STALLS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, ENGINE RE-STARTS, BUT MAY THEN STALL AGAIN. IT HAS HAPPENED ALL TIMES OF DAY [MORNING, AFTERNOON, ETC] AND AT VARIOUS SPEEDS [ UNDER 20 MPH, AT 60MPH] . THIS IS NOW HAPPENING WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY. WAS INITIALLY ONCE EVERY FEW MONTHS, AND IS NOW EVERY FEW DAYS.

VEHICLE DIES IN TRAFFIC FOR NO APPARENT REASON. STARTS RIGHT UP. WENT ONLINE TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE AND RAN ACROSS INFORMATION CONCERNING A RECALL FOR 97 TO 99 HONDA'S. MY CAR IS EXHIBITING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN THIS RECALL. HOWEVER WHEN I ENTER THE VIN IT COMES ACROSS AS NOT HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH THE KEY SWITCH. WHEN THE CAR DIES IN TRAFFIC IT IS NOT ONLY THE ENGINE BUT ALL THE ELECTRICAL POWER AS WELL. COULD MY VIN JUST BE AN OVERSIGHT AND SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL? I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND IT HAS BEEN A GREAT CAR BUT THIS ISSUE IS BECOMING A REAL SAFETY ISSUE. THE CAR JUST RECENTLY STARTED TO DO THIS AND IT DOES IT AT ANY SPEED AND CITY OR HIGHWAY DRIVING.

CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME, WHILE STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. ISSUE IS A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. HAS TO STOP TO RESTART AND LOSS OF POWER STEERING. CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING
MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLING AND LOSING POWER WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHILE DRIVING, MOST OFTEN ON THE FREEWAY. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES IT STARTS BACK UP. THIS CREATES A POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION. SOMEHOW, AS WITH MANY OTHER DRIVERS I HAVE RESEARCHED AND READ ABOUT, MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE 2002 RECALL FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH (FAULTY ELECTRICAL COMPONENT) INCLUDING HONDA CIVICS FROM 1999. NO OTHER REPAIRS SO FAR HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM. IF THIS IS INDEED THE PROBLEM, (THE IGNITION SWITCH) WE VERY STRONGLY FEEL (LIKE MANY OTHERS) THAT IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF HONDA TO TAKE CARE OF THE REPLACEMENT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY AAA TO WRENCH ON WHEELS OF KENT, WASHINGTON WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH OVERHEATED AT RANDOM, WHICH CAUSED THE RELAY TO BECOME FAULTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
VEHICLE IS STALLING WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR INDICATION. IT MAY START AGAIN OR MAY NOT. MAY NOT RESTART FOR TWENTY TIMES OR MORE, OR LESS. THE ONE VARIABLE THAT REMAINS THE SAME IS THAT IT WILL STALL AT SOME POINT WHEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. A CRASH IS VERY LIKELY. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS CAR FOR FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH THAT COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. MAY 16, 2002 CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 02V120000 . HONDA WOULD NOT HONOR RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS A CLOSED RECALL, BUT WILL OPEN IF VIN # SHOWS IT IS ONE OF THE CARS THAT WAS RECALLED. THE CAR SHOWS UP WITH THE RECALL WITH MANY COMPLAINTS ON IGNITION SWITCH. MORE ON THE STALLING, IT WOULD STALL ON ANY ROAD, STREET, OR HIGHWAY IN MOTION. EVERY STALL WAS IN MOTION. IF STARTING THE VEHICLE UP FROM A STOPPED POSITION IT MAY OR MAY NOT START THE FIRST TIME OR TWENTY TIMES LATER. STARTED IN 2014. HONDA WOULDN'T FIX IT. NEXT TWO YEARS SAT IN PARKING SPACE. 2017 STARTED TO DRIVE IT AFTER NEW BATTERY, NEW RADIATOR+THERMOSTAT. CAR STILL STALLS IN MOTION. 03/30/2017 TOOK CAR TO HONDA FOR RECALL. SAID CAR VIN # DID NOT SHOW RECALL ON IT THAT THE RECALL WAS CLOSED ON THE IGNITION SWITCH. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT MY OPTIONS ARE. I ONLY DRIVE ON ROADS THAT HAVE 30MPH LIMITS AND I DON'T LET MY KIDS DRIVE IT. I DON'T WANT TO CAUSE A DEATH OR INJURY TO ANYONE WHO MAY CRASH INTO MY CAR.
THERE IS A RECALL OUT RIGHT NOW FOR MY IGNITION SWITCH BUT WHEN I CALL HONDA, THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE. I AM CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING THE SYMPTOMS OF THE RECALL BUT THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME OR DONT BELIEVE ME. MY SON WAS DRIVING HOME AND THE CAR SHUT OFF ALL OF THE SUDDEN? HE NOTICED THE RPM GAUGE JUST DROPPING AND HE GAVE IT SOME GAS BE RPM'S CONTINUED DOWN, HE PULLED INTO A BUSINESS, STOPPED AND OPENED HOOD TO SEE OR SMELL FOR ANY RUBBER, BURNT , POSSIBLY IF THE TIMING BELT WAS BUSTED. HE CALLED ME AND WE TALKED ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON, SO AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES HE TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. A FEW TIMES I STARTED THE CAR AND AS I DROVE CAR JUST DIED. AT TIMES YOU TRY TO START THE CAR AND IT MAY TAKE A FEW TIMES ,IT WOULD WANT TO START UP THEN TURN OFF, AND JUST A FEW DAYS AGO I STARTED THE CAR , WAITED A FEW MINUTES REVERSED IT AND CAR DIED THAN WHEN I WAS STARTING TO LEAVE THEN CAR WOULD TURN OFF.
I CAME TO A STOP AT A LIGHT AND THE ENGINE QUIT. WHEN I TRIED TO START IT AGAIN, IT LURCHED A LITTLE AND QUIT AGAIN. WHEN I TRIED TO RESTART IT, THE ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT START. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR PLACE. AFTER A FEW DAYS THE MECHANIC GOT IT RUNNING AND I DROVE IT HOME. WHEN I TRIED TO START IT SOMETIME LATER, IT WOULD NOT START, JUST LIKE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. IT WOULD REV UP AND THEN DIE. IT DID THIS A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEN STARTED. WHEN I TURNED IT OFF AND TRIED TO START IT AGAIN IT WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT START. IT WAS TOWED TO A DIFFERENT REPAIR PLACE WHERE THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS A BAD IGNITION SWITCH AND TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL HONDA. A CHECK WITH THE HONDA DEALER REVEALED THAT THERE WAS NO APPLICABLE RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE; IE., A VEHICLE WITH THE ABOVE VIN. WHY NOT?? APPARENTLY, FOR SOME REASON MY 1999 HONDA CIVIC LX WAS "MISSED" BECAUSE THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING HAS ALL THE CHARACTERISTICS OF WHAT IS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. WHY WAS THERE A RECALL, MY VEHICLE WAS OMITTED, AND NOW SOME YEARS LATER THE PROBLEM REARS ITS HEAD AND I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT CORRECTED. IT FAILS TO START RANDOMLY AND IF IT QUITS WHILE I AM DRIVING AND I CAN'T START IT AGAIN, IT IS A SAFETY SITUATION SINCE I LOSE MY POWER BRAKES AND POWER STEERING.

TAKATA AIR BAG RECALLS.
CAR STALLS UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS HAPPENED TWICE, LUCKILY ON LOCAL STREETS AND AT VERY SLOW SPEEDS. BOTH TIMES CAR RESTARTED EASILY. HONDA HAD REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH ON RECALL BACK IN 2003 BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER--I'M THE SECOND OWNER-- BUT NOW WITH OVER 200,000 MILES THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO HAVE RETURNED. CALLED AMERICAN HONDA AND THEY SUGGESTED I HAVE THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED AT A HONDA SERVICE CENTER AT MY EXPENSE. $110 COST. IF THE IGNITION SWITCH IS PROVEN DEFECTIVE, THEY WILL REIMBURSE ALL EXPENSES BUT ONLY AFTER APPROVAL FROM AMERICAN HONDA FOR A SECOND REPLACEMENT. DECIDED TO HAVE MY OWN MECHANIC FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEN SEND THE BILL TO HONDA WITH DOCUMENTATION. TO BE CONTINUED...
TAKATA RECALL.
BEGINNING IN APRIL 2016 AND CONTINUING TO TODAY, MY CAR WILL SUDDENLY STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE ENGINE JUST STOPS, AND THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES ARE NONFUNCTIONAL. THIS HAS OCCURRED UNDER VARIED CONDITIONS: HIGH SPEEDS, LOW SPEEDS, HIGHWAYS, CITY STREETS, PARKING LOTS, HOT DAYS, COOL DAYS, WITH THE AC ON, WITH THE AC OFF, WITH A FULL TANK, A HALF FULL TANK, A QUARTER FULL TANK OF GAS. AFTER THE STALL, THE CAR DOES NOT RESTART IMMEDIATELY. I'VE COUNTED, AND IT TAKES BETWEEN 6 AND 20 TRIES TO RESTART THE ENGINE. TWICE THE CAR WOULD NOT START IMMEDIATELY WHEN I WAS LEAVING WORK AT THE END OF THE DAY. AGAIN, IT TOOK MULTIPLE TRIES BEFORE THE CAR STARTED. THE ENGINE TURNS OVER FINE, SEEMS TO BE WEAKLY STARTING, BUT JUST STOPS. THE MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM; THERE ARE NO CODES THAT HE CAN READ. 129,000 MILES ON THE CAR; I HAVE HAD FULL AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE; AND I DID HAVE THE IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL MANY YEARS AGO.
BAD IGNITION SWITCH WILL STALL ON HIGHWAY AND JUST STARTING WHERE THE KEY IS 1,2,3 IS START BETWEEN 2 AND 3 WELL ON 2 IT WILL NOT LIGHT UP THE DASH LIGHTS NO POWER SO I TURN INTO A LITTLE BIT FROM 2 TO 3 AND MAKE CONTACT THEN START AND SOMETIMES KEEPS RUNNING OTHERS STALLS RANDOM FOR THE PAST YEAR OR 2 NOW JUST DOES IT ALL THE TIME
VEHICLE HAS STALLED ONCE WHILE IDLING AND TWICE WHILE DRIVING - ONCE ON A CITY STREET AND ONCE AT HIGHWAY SPEED. ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR INITIALLY HESITATED AND THEN I FELT A 'THUNK' IN THE DRIVETRAIN {AS IF THE ENGINE RESTARTED WITH A SURGE}, ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS FLASHED AT LEAST 3 TIMES ACCOMPANIED BY A RELAY CLICKING WITH EACH ON / OFF CYCLE. THE SPEEDOMETER GYRATED ABOUT MY ACTUAL SPEED ~5 MPH BELOW AND THEN ABOVE BEFORE THE ENGINE COMPLETELY DIED AND I COASTED TO A STOP. AFTER TURNING THE IGNITION OFF, THE CAR RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED, AND I WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING NORMALLY. ALTHOUGH THE IGNITION RECALL HAS BEEN COMPLETED FOR THIS CAR, I AM SUSPECTING THE PROBLEM COULD BE THE SAME ISSUE THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT. THE IGNITION COIL, DISTRIBUTOR AND ROTOR, AND WIRES WERE ALL RECENTLY REPLACED AND A TUNE-UP PERFORMED AT THE HONDA DEALER. NO CHECK-ENGINE FAULTS WERE CAPTURED DURING ANY OF THE STALLING EVENTS THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON.
WHEN DRIVING @ VARIOUS SPEEDS IN MOTION ON MAJOR AND MINOR ROADS IT WILL JUST CUT OFF AND CAN BE RESTARTED . I TOOK IT TOO HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT MY VIN # WASN'T IN THE RECALL . THE REP TOLD ME THAT IT DID HAPPEN TO OTHER CIVICS (IGNITIONS IN THE SAME MODEL YEAR ) BUT NOT MINE . I TOLD HIM IF IT IS DOING THE SAME THING AS THE RECALL AND MY CIVIC IS WITHIN THE RECALL DATES . THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND QUITE POSSIBLE THE RECALL SHOULD BE BROADENED . THIS

THE CAR IS STILL STALLING OUT. THE LATEST TODAY, WHEN PULLING INTO PARKING SPACE AT HOME, IT STALLED. NO WARNING, NO LIGHTS, NO SOUNDS....JUST STALLED. WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN IF IT HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE AT FAST SPEEDS OR IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS WHERE YOU MIGHT RAM INTO THE BACK OF MY CAR, WITHOUT WARNING, JUST STOPPED IN FRONT OF YOU WITH NO WARNING. MAYBE EVEN IN A TURNING LANE, CARS COMING AT ME, RIGHT/LEFT/FRONT/BEHIND. I AM SCARED TO DEATH MY LUCK IS GOING TO RUN OUT AND SOMEONE OR SOME PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET HURT AND LOSE THEIR LIVES BECAUSE HONDA CAN'T FIX THIS PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. BACK IN NOVEMBER 2014, I CHANGED OUT MY HEADLIGHTS. THEY SEEMED TO BE WORKING FINE UNTIL RECENT. LAST WEEK MY SRS AND MY BATTERY LIGHT WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF. MY HEADLIGHTS THEN BLEW OUT. I REPLACED THE BULBS AND CHECKED THE FUSES. LESS THAN ONE DAY LATER, MY LIGHTS BLEW OUT AGAIN. I CHANGED MY BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR OUT WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. I AM THINKING THAT THERE MUST BE A SHORT IN THE WIRES SOMEWHERE, BUT NOT SURE. I AM SURE THIS PROBLEM IS GOING TO COST SEVERAL HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER ISSUES IN THE PAST SUCH AS THE RADIO HAVING TO BE RESET EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY WAS NEVER DISCONNECTED. POWER LOCKS ARE ERRATIC AS SOMETIMES THEY WORK AND SOMETIMES THEY DON'T. IN ORDER TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE VEHICLE IT WOULD NEED TO NOT START. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS A RESULT OF STALLING OUT WITHOUT ANY WARNING AND AT ANY SPEED WHERE A CRASH IS INEVITABLE. I RESEARCHED THIS VEHICLE AFTERWARDS TO FIND ANY RECALLS ON IT. SURE ENOUGH THERE WAS. IT HAD A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH WHICH CAUSES THE ABOVE SYMPTOMS.....STALLING OUT AND TROUBLE STARTING. I NEVER GOT A LETTER OR MAIL OF ANY KIND STATING THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS CAR'S IGNITION SWITCH. WHY? THERE ALSO IS ONE OTHER RECALL ON THIS CAR, A FUEL TANK THERMAL INSULATOR.
