TL* I HAVE A 2006 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID THAT NUMEROUS TIMES NOW (VIRTUALLY ALL THE TIME), THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT SLOW DOWN WHEN INSTRUCTED TO SLOW DOWN BY PRESSING THE DECREASE SPEED BUTTON ONE PRESS AT A TIME. USUALLY I WILL HAVE TO HOLD IT DOWN FOR SEVERAL SECONDS FOR IT TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THEY STATED THERE IS NOT FAILURE AND NOW THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. THE MANUFACTURE ALSO WAS CALL AND THEY STATED THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THAT THE COMPLAINT BE WRITTEN VERBATIM WITH NO REVISIONS. PURCHASED A 2003 HONDA CERTIFIED CIVIC LX ON JANUARY 28, 2006 FROM HERITAGE HONDA OF TOWSON, 9213 HARFORD ROAD, BALTIMORE, MD 21234. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR 50,000 MILE SERVICE AND ASKED SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WHILE IN "DRIVE" ON AN INCLINE, CAUSING VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARDS. HE INFORMED ME THAT HE HAD A SIMILAR VEHICLE WHICH ALSO DID THIS, THAT OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD COMPLAINED TO HIM OF THE SAME CONDITION, AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT: THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WILL NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE ON AN INCLINE WHEN IN THE "DRIVE" POSITION. DRIVER MUST ENGAGE THE "PARK" POSITION TO HOLD THE VEHICLE, OR PUT THE VEHICLE IN "NEUTRAL" AND ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE. LEAVING THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION IN "DRIVE" WHILE ON A HILL RESULTS IN SLIPPAGE (THIS VEHICLE ROLLS BACKWARDS WHILE IN "DRIVE", AS IF IN "NEUTRAL"), WHICH PRESENTS DANGER OF IMPACT TO THE DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE AND TO THOSE DRIVERS BEHIND THEM. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS CONDITION OF TRANSMISSION AND VEHICLE SLIPPAGE WHEN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS IN THE "DRIVE" POSITION, WHILE ON AN INCLINE, CONSTITUTES A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVERS OF THIS VEHICLE AND TO OTHER DRIVERS DIRECTLY BEHIND IT. I SEEK TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM CORRECTED, IF POSSIBLE. IF NOT, I WOULD ATTEMPT TO HAVE THE MANUFACTURER BUY BACK THE VEHICLE AS A LEMON, OR TO GET THE VEHICLE RECALLED. PLEASE ADVISE. *JB
ON MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC SI, REAR SPOKE COVERS ON LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL PROTRUDE WITH SHARP EDGES. THIS COMES IN CONTACT WITH THE FINGERS WHILE DRIVING. IT IS NOT MERELY A TACTILE CONCERN SINCE THE SHARP EDGE HAS ACTUALLY CUT MY FINGER TIP WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNING THIS NEW CAR. THE CONCERN EXISTS ON OTHER LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEELS OF THE SAME MODEL. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO SOLUTION TO THIS MATTER WITH AMERICAN HONDA AND IT IS OBVIOUSLY A BAD FITMENT OF THE STEERING WHEEL BACK ONTO A LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL. IT IS BAD DESIGN AND CAN INTERFERE WITH DRIVING ABILITY OF THE CAR. EVERY TIME THE WHEEL IS TURNED ABOUT 180 DEGREES, UPON RETURN TO CENTER THE SHARP PLASTIC EDGE OF THE BACK SPOKE COVERS COME SLICING AT THE FINGER TIPS. WITH NO SOLUTION CURRENTLY PLANNED AND WHAT I WOULD CALL POOR RESPONSE IN HONDA'S RESOLUTION SCENARIO, THIS NEEDED TO BE BROUGHT TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF ATTENTION. SINCE THIS AFFECTS MY MODEL OF CAR AND POSSIBLY OTHER 2006 CIVICS WITH THE LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL OPTION, IT WILL AFFECT MANY CUSTOMERS AND WILL POTENTIALLY INJURE DRIVERS AND INTERFERE WITH DRIVING ABILITY. *NM
LOUD GRINDING NOISE EMNATING FROM REAR WHEELS. DEALER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT BOTH REAR WHEEL BEARINGS WERE BAD! THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD, 5000 MILES. TOOK VEHICLE FOR 10,000 MILE SERVICE AND NOW THE GRINDING NOISE HAS RETURNED. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE'S AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTED TOO EASILY WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE ALSO ROLLED BACKWARDS BEFORE MOVING FORWARD DURING ACCELERATION ON A LEVEL-DRIVING SURFACE.
I AM ON MY 8TH PAIR OF TIRES WITH MY VEHICLE. MY TIRES WEAR OUT PREMATURELY AND CAUSE HEAVY VIBRATIONS WHILE DRIVING. THE TIRES GET NOTICEABLE FLAT SPOTS ON THEM AND THE TREAD WEARS VERY THIN ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRES. 2 YEARS AGO WE BECAME EXTREMELY CLOSE TO HAVE ONE TIRE BLOW OUT ON US AS IT WAS WORN ALMOST THROUGH THE ENTIRE TIRE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM THAT HONDA SHOULD DEAL WITH. THEY HAVE COME OUT WITH A KIT FOR THE REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS THAT ARE "SUPPOSE" TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE ARMS REPLACED, FIRST HONDA REGIONAL SERVICE MANAGER SAID THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR. SECOND, THEY PUT THE UPGRADED CONTROL ARMS ON THE CAR AND THEY STILL COULDN'T GET THE TIRES ALIGNED PROPERLY, SO THIRDLY I HAVE TO WAIT SO THEY CAN ORDER SOME AFTER-MARKET CONTROL ARMS TO HOPEFULLY FIX THE PROBLEM. YOU CAN PLAINLY SEE WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING ON A FLAT SURFACE THAT THE TIRES ARE SLANTED TOO MUCH. IT IS SO OBVIOUS THAT IF THEY COULDN'T SEE IT AT PRODUCTION, THEY SHOULD THINK ABOUT THEIR HIRING PROCESS. THIS IS DANGEROUS, AND PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR PROBLEMS THAT ARE CAUSED BY THE MANUFACTURER. *TR
XI HAVE OWNED A 2006 CIVIC HYBRID FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I HAVE NOTICED THAT A LIGHT APPLICATION OF THE BRAKE PEDAL CAN RESULT IN A SUDDEN ACCELERATION} RATHER THAN IN BRAKING. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, I WOULD SAY APPROXIMATELY ONCE A MONTH. IT SEEMS LIKE A MALFUNCTION IN THE COMPUTER SYSTEM RUNNING THE BRAKING SYSTEM. ON ONE OCCASION LAST APRIL THIS RESULTED IN A MINOR ACCIDENT. AT THE TIME I HAD ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR A SHORT INTERVAL AND WAS SURPRISED AT THIS STRANGE REACTION OF THE CAR. SINCE THAT TIME THIS PROBLEM HAS RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF YOU HAVE HAD OTHER REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM AND WHETHER YOU KNOW ABOUT IT. SINCE IT IS AN INTERMITTENT EFFECT IT IS NO USE TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. *JB
ALL 2006 HONDA CIVIC SI MODELS CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 SECOND(S) AFTER CLOSING THE THROTTLE. THIS PROGRAMMED "REV HOLDING" COMPROMISES THE ABILITY TO SAFELY CONTROL THE CAR AND STOP IT. THIS IS A DRIVE-BY-WIRE ISSUE THAT MUST BE FIXED. *JB
THE CAR IS A NEW HONDA CIVIC LX WITH LESS THAN 650 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. WHEN I AM A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT, THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AT 400+ MILES AND WAS TOLD IT WAS CAUSED BY ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT INTERFERENCE - POSSIBLY A CELL PHONE. THE FAULT CODE WAS CLEARED AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM REMAINS - ONLY WHEN I AM A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT TURNS ON. I AM A 6'3" MAIL AND WEIGH 300 LBS. SMALLER, LIGHTER PEOPLE DO NOT SEEM TO CAUSE THE WARNING LIGHT TO REGISTER. I STRONGLY SUSPECT THERE IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH AN AIRBAG SENSOR IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I CONSIDER THIS A MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT. *JB
REAR WINDSHIELD LIFTS OFF AT RIGHT REAR PILLAR WHEN THE AIR OF CLOSING THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER DOOR PUSHES IT OUT OF THE FRAME. TWO DAYS LATER AT THE SERVICE APPOINTMENT, THE REAR WINDSHIELD HAD LIFTED OFF THE ENTIRE ROOF LINE, WITH A HEIGHT OF 2 INCHES AT THE RIGHT REAR PILLAR. HONDA SERVICE DEPT. SAID THEY'D NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT; THE CAULKING HAD NOT BEEN SUFFICIENT TO KEEP THE WINDSHIELD IN PLACE. THEY REGLUED IT. AN ACQUAINTANCE IN NJ SAW THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO THE 2006 HONDA COUPE IN FRONT OF HIM. HE CHANGED LANES FAST. *JB
HONDA CLAIMS THAT THE REAR UPPER SUSPENSION ARMS SHOULD BE REPLACED, BUT WILL NOT COVER THE COSTS INVOLVED SINCE I AM PAST THE DATE ON THE WARRANTY. *TR
THE FRONT AND REAR WINDOWS SQUEAK OVER MILD TO SEVERE BUMPS. THE NOISE WAS BROUGHT TO MY DEALERS ATTENTION, THEY THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TO THE REAR DECK AND TIGHTENED AND FOAMED THE REAR DECK TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS NOT SOLVED THE NOISE PROBLEM, SO ON THE NEXT VISIT, I STRESSED THAT IT MAY BE COMING FROM THE WINDOWS. THEY SAY THEY MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM, WHERE THE WINDOWS NEEDED TO BE OILED, IE. BLADE AREA? *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TIRES MADE A LOUD NOISE WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH. THE TIRES WERE ROTATED AND REPLACED FOUR TIMES. HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE LOWER AND UPPER CONTROL ARMS WERE NOT DEFECTIVE, BUT RATHER POSITIONED INCORRECTLY. AS A RESULT, THE TIRES BECAME WORN PREMATURELY. THE DEALER WILL CHARGE $450 TO ADJUST THE FAILURE. THE WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER THE COST. A REPORT WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER, BUT THEY WILL NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
I WAS IN A SIDE IMPACT COLLISION WITH MY 2006 HONDA CIVIC 4DR SEDAN AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EVEN THOUGH WE HIT A TRUCK. THE INSURANCE COMPANY LABELED THE CAR "COMPLETELY DESTROYED." NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. *JB
MY DAUGHTER'S HONDA CIVIC 2006, AIR BAG DID NOT INFLATE DURING AN ACCIDENT. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY ROLLED BACKWARDS AT RED LIGHTS, IN BETWEEN THE TIME IT TOOK TO SWITCH PEDALS FROM BRAKING TO ACCELERATING. THE VEHICLE HAD AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER. THE DEALER EXPRESSED DUE TO THE LIGHTER TRANSMISSION, THIS WAS A REGULAR PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. UPDATED 9/15/2006 - *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE HEATED SIDE MIRRORS WERE LOSING THEIR REFLECTIVE CAPABILITY. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE MIRRORS BUT THERE WERE BLACK AREAS OF 2 INCHES BY 2 INCHES, NO LONGER OF USE ON THE MIRRORS SURFACE. THE SERVICE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED.
HEAD REST PUSHES THE HEAD FORWARD UNTIL IT IS AN UNNATURAL NECK POSITION. THIS SHOULD BE VERY STRESSFUL ON A LONG DRIVE. *JB
2006 HONDA CIVIC - REAR CONTROL ARMS (CAMBER ARMS) CAUSE SEVERE INNER TIRE WEAR. 85000 MILE TIRES LAST APPROX. 30000 MILES BEFORE INSIDE OF TIRES WEAR AND CUP. HONDA ISSUED A TSB 08-001 WHICH ADDRESSES THE PROBLEM, BUT HONDA REFUSED TO FIX AS A WARRANTY CLAIM UNTIL RECENTLY 3/10/10 AND THEN ONLY COVERED 25% COST OF REPAIR. REAR CONTROL ARMS WERE REPLACED AND ALIGNMENT COMPLETED 3/13/10.*TR
UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AND LOUD ROAD NOISE. *TR
WHEN LIFTING OFF THE ACCELERATOR CAR CONTINUES WITHOUT DECELERATING FOR MORE THAN 1 SECOND. THIS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS IN TRAFFIC. I MUST ANTICIPATE MY DECELERATION OR USE THE BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY WHEN I WOULD NOT HAVE TO IN ANOTHER CAR. I BELIEVE THIS PRESENTS A SIGNIFICANT RISK. FURTHER WHEN DECELERATION DOES OCCUR IT IS EXTREMELY ABRUPT. IF I AM TURNING AND I LIFT OFF THE THROTTLE THE SUDDEN DECELERATION AND ITS UNPREDICTABLE ONSET CAN CAUSE LIFT-THROTTLE OVER STEER OR A TIGHTENING OF THE LINE ON WHICH THE CAR TRAVELS. IN SHORT, THE CAR CAN UNPREDICTABLY GO NOT WHERE IT WAS POINTED. *JB
FRONT WINDSHIELD MAKES CRACKING/CREAKING NOISES FROM ALL AREAS AROUND WINDOW WHERE GLASS MEETS SEAL/METAL. THIS OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE TRAVELS OVER ANY FLUCTUATION IN THE ROAD. SOME INSTANCES OF CREAKING AROUND THE REAR WINDSHIELD, AND EVEN MORE RARELY IN THE DASHBOARD OF THE VEHICLE. EXTREMELY DISTRACTING. MADE NOISES SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW - 2 MONTHS OLD AND SEVERITY OF NOISES INCREASING. HONDA DEALERSHIP NOTED NOISES BUT UNAWARE OF HOW TO FIX THIS ISSUE (TORONTO HONDA). *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE RUBS AGAINST THE FENDER ON HARD TURNS IN EITHER DIRECTION WHICH MAKES THE VEHICLE VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. DURING THESE INCIDENTS, THERE ARE NO VIBRATIONS HOWEVER THE VEHICLE DOES TILT TO THE LEFT. A SERVICE DEALER CHANGED THE SUSPENSION, BUT THAT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
I HAVE A CONSTANT BATTLE TO KEEP THE TIRE RIMS CLEAN TO PREVENT IMBALANCE AND VIBRATION. IN THE WINTER THE ICE AND MUD HAVE MADE IT SO BAD ONE CANNOT DRIVE OVER 30 MPH. THE REST OF THE TIME ITS JUST DIRT BUILD UP AND CLEANING REGULARLY IS NECESSARY. *JB
THE PROBLEMS THE CONSUMER IS HAVING ARE WITH THE SUSPENSION AND TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. SINCE THE CONSUMER PURCHASED THE 2006 HONDA CIVIC EX COUPE IN OCTOBER 2005, SINCE THEN SHE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES WHICH WEAR RAPIDLY AND IN AN ABNORMAL PATTERN. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE MULTIPLE TIMES SO CONSUMER COULD GET THIS PROBLEM ADDRESSED. SHE HAS EVEN STATED TO DEALERSHIPS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION AND TIRES WHEN HER VEHICLE WAS IN FOR NORMAL RECALLS AND CHECKS. EVERY TIME SHE STATED TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE'S SUSPENSION SHE WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG AND EVERYTHING IS NORMAL, EXCEPT THE TIRES ARE "CUPPED" OR DEFECTIVE. SHE HAS SINCE HAD TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE WITH (4) SETS OF TIRES SINCE 2005, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE CONSUMER PURCHASED (4) SETS OF DEFECTIVE TIRES IN A ROW. CONSUMER FOUND ( TSB 08-001 ) STATING "UNEVEN OR RAPID REAR TIRE WEAR" FROM ALLDATA ONLINE & HONDA CUSTOMER INFORMATION WEBSITE. SINCE THIS PROBLEM WAS NEVER FIXED WHEN IT WAS ADDRESSED BY THE CONSUMER TO HONDA, IT HAS SINCE COST THE CONSUMER OVER $1,700 TO REPLACE TIRES. CONSUMER IS SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT OR REPLACEMENT OF (4) GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 TIRES IN A 225/45/17 SIZE DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP OF HONDA DEALERSHIPS. TOTAL OF $718.46 IF AN AGREEMENT IS NOT MET, CONSUMER IS CONSIDERING A LAWSUIT AGAINST AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. INC FOR JEOPARDIZING SAFETY OF THE CONSUMER. *TR
FOR SOME TIME, A WARNING NOTICE WAS ON MY DASHBOARD SAYING THAT THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT OF MY CAR WAS TURNED OFF. IN JUL 2016, I RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL 16V-346 SAYING THERE WAS AN AIRBAG RECALL AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE PASSENGERS SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT UNTIL THE RECALL REPAIR HAS BEEN PERFORMED. THE NOTICE SAID THE "REMEDY PARTS NEEDED TO CONDUCT PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALLS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN LATE SUMMER/FALL OF 2016." IT'S DECEMBER. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HONDA SAYING THAT PARTS OF AVAILABLE. I CHECKED SAFECAR.GOV, WHICH SAID RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK WITH SEAT BELT ON HAD TO STOP SHORT, SEAT BELT WOULD NOT RETRACT INTO HARNESS. WHILE RETURNING HOME WAS INVOLVED IN SERIOUS ACCIDENT CAUSING INJURIES, BROKEN RIBS ETC. IF SEAT BELT WORKED WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN INJURED. CAR WAS TOTALED. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CIVIC. HE HEARD A THUMP AND SQUEALING SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT LUBRICATING THE BRAKES WOULD NOT GUARANTEE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER ALSO PERFORMED A FRONT END ALIGNMENT AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE FOR $70.00. APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS LATER, THE DEALER REPLACED A VALVE IN THE RIM, TWO REAR TIRES AND ANOTHER FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. 2 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT AND CRASHED INTO THE CURB CAUSING THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TO FALL OFF. THE MECHANIC INSTALLED A NEW TIRE, RIM, HUB CAP AND PERFORMED A LIFE TIME WHEEL BALANCE. ANOTHER DEALER STATED THAT SHE NEEDED THE ROTORS TURNED AND THE WHEEL HUBS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO THUMP, SQUEAK AND SHE HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. THE DEALER CHARGED THE CONTACT $55.68 TO REPLACE THE BRAKE PADS. ON JANUARY 4, 2008 AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER. THE MANAGER DROVE THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT HE COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE NOISE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53960 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 63865. UPDATED 08/13/08 *BF UPDATED 08/13/08

WE BROUGHT THE CAR TO TWO HONDA DEALERSHIPS BEFORE IT HAD 6000 MILES ON IT AND THEY TOLD US THAT IT WAS JUST NORMAL TIRE NOISE. AFTER MORE COMPLAINING THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS OUR FAULT, BECAUSE WE DID NOT ROTATE THE TIRES FREQUENTLY ENOUGH. WHEN I POINTED OUT TO THEM THAT THEY BALANCED AND ROTATED THE TIRES PRIOR TO THE REQUIRED PERIOD OUTLINED IN THE VEHICLE MAINTENANCE RECORDS THE STORY CHANGED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 19000 MILES ON IT AND THE NOISE IS HORRIBLE AND THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP NOW SAYS THE REAR TWO TIRES HAVE SEPARATED BELTS DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE MUST HAVE HIT A POTHOLE OR ROAD DEBRIS. I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW I COULD HAVE HIT A POTHOLE OR ROAD DEBRIS WITH JUST TWO TIRES, BECAUSE LAST TIME I CHECKED THE FRONT TIRES WERE FOLLOWED BY THE REAR TIRES. I HAVE ALSO BROUGHT THIS CAR TO A BRIDGESTONE DEALER, WHICH IS THE MAKE OF THE TIRES, AND HE SAID THE TIRES WERE CUPPED DUE TO THE CAR BEING OUT OF ALIGNMENT. I THEN CALLED THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT LINE ON THE TIRE WARRANTY PAMPHLET FOR BRIDGESTONE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS A VEHICLE ISSUE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS IS BECOMING A SAFETY ISSUE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN ASSURED THAT THIS WILL NOT CREATE A PROBLEM OTHER THAN BEING NOISY. I HAVE RECEIVED NO HELP FROM HONDA OR BRIDGESTONE IN THIS MATTER OTHER THAN A BUNCH OF FINGERPRINTING AND THE OFFER TO SELL ME NEW SET OF TIRES AT A COST OF OVER $600.
