HEADLIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS CONTINUE TO BURN OUT. ON A MONTHLY BASIS WE ARE PAYING TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. THEN WE GET STOPPED FOR ONE BEING OUT, TAKE IT TO OUR MECHANIC AND THEY ARE WORKING. NOTHING SHORT OF FRUSTRATING. THESE OCCUR WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN STOPPED. ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THE 20 OR SO MONTHS AND APPEARS TO BE COMING MORE FREQUENTLY.
VSA STOPPED WORKING BAD TRACTION ON WET ROADS CAR JERKS UNEXPECTEDLY
UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. ACCELERATING FROM A STOPLIGHT, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY WENT TO MAXIMUM THROTTLE. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAD NO EFFECT, AND THE FLOOR MAT WAS WELL CLEAR OF THE PEDAL. PUSHING HARD ON THE BRAKE HAD LITTLE EFFECT. FINALLY TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. CITY ROAD WHERE TWO LANES IN OUR DIRECTION MERGE TO ONE. SPEED LIMIT 40 MPH; HEAVY TRAFFIC. NARROWLY AVOIDED COLLIDING WITH CAR AHEAD. CAR THEN TOWED TO HONDA DEALER, AND IS AWAITING EVALUATION BY DISTRICT MANAGER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE DEALER (LYNNWOOD HONDA, 22020 WA-99, EDMONDS, WA 98026) STATED THAT THE 86-12 OPDS SEAT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 165,000.
2006 HONDA CRV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ISSUES WITH 4WD. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WENT INTO AN AUTOMATIC SKID MODE CAUSING IT TO CRASH INTO A STREET SIGN. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A PREMATURE FAILURE WITH THE FRONT ARM BUSHINGS. THE DEALER (BROWN'S HONDA CITY, 7160 RITCHIE HWY, GLEN BURNIE, MD 21061, (410) 553-8014) STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM A RECALL CAMPAIGN PERTAINING TO THE VEHICLE AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY REAR DOOR DOES NOT LOCK WHEN I PUSH THE DOOR LOCK FROM THE INTERIOR, USE THE KEY FROM THE EXTERIOR OR THE FOB. MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WON'T UNLOCK AND NOW MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WON'T LOCK WHEN I LOCK THE DOORS OR UNLOCK WHEN I UNLOCK THE DOORS. I HAVE TO MANUALLY PULL UP OR PUSH DOWN ON THE LOCK LEVER. PASSENGER SIDE DOOR DOESN'T UNLOCK 95% OF THE TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. OTHER'S HAVE COMPLAINED AND HAVE STATED THIS IS A RECALL. I DO NOT SEE ANY RECALL NOTICES FOR THE LOCK ACTUATOR. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HAS HAD ISSUES FOR OVER 6 MONTHS.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY (WESTBOUND BETWEEN GREENSPRING VILLAGE AND ROLLING RD) AT ABOUT 40 OR 45MPH, THE HOOD ON MY 2006 HONDA CRV OPENED BY ITSELF. IT FLEW OPEN AND OBSTRUCTED THE WINDOW. I HAD TO STOP IN A TRAVEL LANE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE SHOULDER AT LOW SPEED. I'M LUCKY I WASNT HURT AND DIDNT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I HAD NOT OPENED THE HOOD IN WEEKS.
THE DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM BULB FAILS AFTER LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OF REPLACEMENT RECURRING ISSUE. I HAVE INSTALLED 2 DIFFERENT MANUFACTURES BULBS PLUS ONE OEM BULB WITH SAME FAILURE OCCURRING IN 3 MONTHS OR LESS AND LESS THAN 2K MILES. BULB HAS FAILED BOTH IN MOTION AND STATIONARY MODE.
I WAS DRIVING AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR STARTING ACTING STRANGE - ACCELERATION WAS VERY WEAK, STEERING WAS HEAVY, AND WHEN I WAS STOPPED CAR WOULD NEARLY STALL. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, WHICH WAS ALARMING. I TOOK CAR INTO HONDA DEALER AND AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH THEY SAID I NEEDED A SOFTWARE UPDATE DUE TO A GLITCH IN THE INITIAL SOFTWARE AND CHARGED ME $224 WHICH I WAS NOT HAPPY TO PAY. THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECT IN THEIR CAR SOFTWARE SINCE I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD HAVE AFFECTED THEIR CAR SOFTWARE. IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS HAD THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION OCCURRED ON THE FREEWAY, THREATENING MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.
TO THE TOUCH, ONE SECTION OF THE DRIVERS SEAT GENERATES ALARMING HEAT. COMES FROM INSIDE THE SEAT, NOTHING VISIBLE. NOTICED WHILE DRIVING. HEAT COMES AND GOES
VSA AND EXCLAMATION SIGN LIGHTS LIT ON DASHBOARD WHILE DRIVING IN DRY CONDITIONS. BROUGHT TO DEALER AND INFORMED THE VSA MODULATOR HAD FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED...AT A COST OF $2682. MY SEARCH INDICATES THAT THIS PART FAILS QUITE A BIT ON HONDAS AND NEEDS TO BE MADE RECALLED SINCE ITS A SAFETY RELATED ITEM.
I AM THE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN EXAMINING THE VEHICLE. MR. JARED LARSEN COMPLAINED THAT HIS STEERING WHEEL BEGAN BEING OFF CENTER BOTH TO THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT. SOMETIMES AS MUCH AS 90 DEGREES OFF CENTER. UPON EXAMINING THE VEHICLE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE STEEL INSERT WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL MOUNTS TO THE STEERING SHAFT HAS STRIPPED OUT TO THE STEERING WHEEL. UNDER MODERATE PRESSURE THE STEERING WHEEL BECOMES LOOSE AND THERE IS NO STEERING RESPONSE. (NOTICE THE WHITE STRIPE AT THE 9 O'CLOCK POSITION IN THE PICTURES AND THE SECOND PICTURE THE STRIPE IS SPLIT BETWEEN 9 AND 12) LOSS OF STEERING CAN RESULT IN A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WILL BE REPAIRED AND THE OLD STEERING WHEEL AVAILABLE FOR EXAMINATION ON REQUEST.
AT A CERTAIN SPEED MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SOUNDS LIKE ITS ON A RUMBLE STRIP
OVER THE LAST 12-16 MONTHS, THE LOW-BEAM BULB FOR THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE FAILED APPROXIMATELY EVERY 1-2 MONTHS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RESEARCH THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET, IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ACROSS MULTIPLE YEARS OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. IN FACT, IT APPEARS THAT THEY HAD ISSUED RECALLS ON AN EARLIER MODEL YEAR OF THIS VEHICLE BUT HAVE RESISTED RECALLING ADDITIONAL MODEL YEARS. I HAVE NOT YET DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM ON MY VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER LOW-BEAM BULB SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN EFFECTED MORE THAN THE DRIVER SIDE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TRACK THE TIMING OF THE BULB FAILURES, AND I BELIEVE THAT IT MAY BE RELATED TO LONG DISTANCE TRIPS OF OVER 100 MILES. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE AN AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL COMPANY LOOK AT IT AND TRY TO TRACE THE FAULT.
THE USED 2006 HONDA CR-V AWD THAT I PURCHASED FROM THE HONDA DEALER IN OCT 2016 WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE 405 FREEWAY IN KIRKLAND, WA IN MAR 2017. THE HONDA CR-V REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MILES PER HOUR. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
I HAVE A 2006 HONDA CRV SE THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO BE FIXED, AND THEY SAID IT WAS A EXPOSED WIRE GOING TO THE FUSE BOX. I CONTINUE TO HAVE THE PROBLEM THOUGH. MY DRIVERS SIDE WENT OUT A MONTH AGO AGAIN, AND THEN CAME BACK ON FOR A WEEK. THEN THE DRIVERS SIDE LIGHTS WENT OUT AGAIN. I WENT TO LEAVE WORK LAST NIGH, AND NOW BOTH LOW BEAMS ARE NOT WORKING. I HAVE CONTACTED THE RECALL DEPARTMENT, AND THEY TELL ME I HAVE NO OPEN RECALLS ON MY CAR. I PAID $400 LESS THAN 8 MONTHS AGO TO FIX THIS, AND NOW I HAVE A WORSE PROBLEM. THE DEALER SAYS I'M PAST MY WARRANTY ON THE REPAIR, SO I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE IS. I AM ALSO HAVING AN ISSUE WITH ALL LIGHTS INSIDE AND OUT STROBING AND PULSING. I HAVE READ MANY PEOPLE HAVING THIS. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN, AND MY NEXT STEP IS TO CALL THE NHTSA TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. I AM URGING ANYONE HAVING ISSUES TO CALL THE HONDA RECALL LINE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. THEY WILL NOT DO A RECALL TO FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL THEY HAVE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS. THIS WAS MY FIRST HONDA AS I AM A TOYOTA GIRL, BUT I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A SHOT. I DON'T THINK I WILL BE LOOKING AT HONDA'S NEXT YEAR WHEN I GO TO DO MY TRADE IN. I HAVE HAD MORE PROBLEMS WITH JUST THE HEADLIGHTS, AND OTHER LIGHTS IN MY CAR THAT AND HAD NOT ISSUES AT ALL WITH MY LAST TOYOTA. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING, THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS FAILED TO OPERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BULBS WERE PREVIOUSLY REPLACED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR OF MY 2006 CRV SAGS DOWN INTO MY LINE OF SIGHT. HITTING BUMPS IN THE ROAD CAUSES IT TO SAG EVEN LOWER. THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR THE OBVIOUS VISIBILITY REASON, BUT COULD ALSO BE DANGEROUS IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. HONDA STARTED MAKING AN UPGRADED REPLACEMENT PART THAT SHOULDN'T SAG, BUT FAILED TO UPDATE THE THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES AFFECTED. I CURRENTLY HAVE MINE TIED UP WITH TWINE UNTIL I CAN GET A REPLACEMENT VISOR.
WE STOPPED AT A GAS STATION ON A LONG TRIP AND WHEN WE GOT BACK IN CAR HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AND EVEN WITH NEW BULBS ARE VERY DIM. HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS TO SEE TO DRIVE. VERY UNSAFE.
TAKATA RECALL LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT STOPS WORKING HEADLIGHT BULBS CONTINUE TO BLOW. THEN CAN BLOW AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT STOPS WORKING. NEEDS REPLACING ON A REGULAR BASIS. EVERY MONTH OR TWO.
VSA MODULE FAILED ALONG WITH THE ABS. CALLED HONDA USA AND THEY ADMITTED THAT IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE BUT DID NOT CARE AND HUNG UP ON ME. DEALER CHARGED $2400 TO FIX. CAR HAD ONLY 88,000 MILES. WE WERE TOLD WE COULD KEEP DRIVING THE CAR.
TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE, JUNE 2016, NHTSA RECAL 16V-344. CONTACTED LOCAL DEALER (VISALIA HONDA, VISALIA,CA) 13JULY2016. DID NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT BUT SAID WOULD ORDER AND CONTACT US. NO CONTACT. RE-CONTACTED DEALER ON 29 OCTOBER2016. STILL DID NOT HAVE PART BUT SAID WOULD ORDER AND CONTACT US. STILL NO CONTACT AS OF TODAY 6NOVEMBER 2016. NEARLY 110 DAYS SINCE FIRST CONTACTING DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT AND STILL NO WORD OR SERVICE. VERY DISSATISFIED AND CONCERNED.
THE CAR SHAKES AT LOW SPEEDS. VIBRATION AND SHAKING TO WHOLE CAR AFFECTING TRACTION AND EVERYONE IN CAR FEELS THE SHAKING. FEELS LIKE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING IN LOW GEARS. ONLY AT LOWER SPEEDS AND NOT AT HIGH SPEEDS. I BOUGHT IT USED THIS YEAR, AND THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. WELL MAINTAINED CRV AUTOMATIC, AWD, 115,000. REALLY HOPE I CAN GET IT FIXED WITH PAYING FOR A TRANSMISSION. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE AWD TRACTION, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON COMPLAINT.
I AM A ONE TIME OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY BURNING OUT BOTH SIDES, DOES NOT MATTER WHICH BRAND IS USED. THE LIGHTS BURN OUT ANYTIME 1-3 MONTHS OF USE AFTER CHANGE OUT. THIS IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS! AND VERY EXPENSIVE! LIVING IN ALASKA WE DEPEND ON OUR HEADLIGHTS MORE THAN NORMAL TO AVOID SEVER ACCIDENTS IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS, IE VEHICLES, ICE /SNOW/RAIN, HUMANS, MOOSE, CARIBOU ETC. HONDA SHOULD HAVE RECALLED AND REPAIRED THIS CONDITION MANY YEARS AGO! THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY CONDITION! THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS 2007 TO 2016, I AVERAGE 8-10 BULBS A YEAR @ $6-$15 A BULB AND CHANGING THEM OUT IN SUB-0 TEMPS IS NO FUN! THE VEHICLE HAS NO SET PATTERN AS TO WHEN THIS HAPPENS PARKED OR DRIVING AND HIGH BEAM USE IS A MUST AT TIMES WITH OUT GETTING PULLED OVER. THE VEHICLE STARTED AT 96,000 MILES AND NOW HAS 130,000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V344000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
A SAFETY RECALL WAS ISSUED BY HONDA DATED JUNE 2016 FOR THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATOR ADVISING THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT SHOULD NOT BE USED UNTIL THE INFLATOR IS REPLACED TO AVOID INJURY TO THE PASSENGER. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO REPAIR THIS DEFICIENCY 7-11-2016 AND WAS ASSURED THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE DEFECTIVE PART WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR INSTALLATION. I CHECKED BACK 7-29-2016 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS A LARGE BACKLOG ON THE RECALL AND TO CALL HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. I CALLED HONDA 8-10-2016 AND 8-23-2016, WAS ISSUED A CASE # 04914374 BUT WAS TOLD THE DEFICIENCY COULD NOT BE REPAIRED ANY TIME SOON. IT IS NOW SEPT 13, 2016 AND I STILL CAN'T USE THE PASSENGER SEAT IN MY HONDA.
MY 2006 CR-V SHUDDERS AT AROUND 40 MPH. IT DID THE SAME 3 YEARS AGO AND HONDA CHARGED ME $1200+ TO FIX THE TORQUE CONVERTER (@ 107,000 MILES). NOW IT IS DOING TI AGAIN AT 162,000 MILES. IT SEEMS IT IS A DESIGN FLAW. SHOULDN'T HONDA DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN MAKE MORE MONEY ON ME?
MY AIRBAG LIGHT SPORADICALLY COMES ON WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. I HAD MY LOCAL DEALER EXAMINE THE ISSUE AND THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO A FAULTY SENSOR IN MY DRIVER SEAT BELT BUCKLE. THE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON EVERY TIME THAT I DRIVE THE CAR. SOME TIMES DAYS GO BY WITH NORMAL DRIVING THAT THE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON AND THEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE DAYS IN A ROW WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON.
HONDA CR-V LEAKS RAINWATER ONTO FLOORS OF VEHICLE. AN INCH OF WATER IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT MAKES IT DANGEROUS TO OPERATE PEDALS WHICH BECOME SLIPPERY FROM FOOTWARE, WATER DAMAGE TO FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND OTHER SAFETY EQUIPMENT STORED ON FLOOR FOR TIMES OF EMERGENCY. MANY, MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CR-V OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM ONLINE. I DRIED OUT THE CARPET, IT RAINED AGAIN AND ANOTHER INCH OF WATER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. IF MILDEW/MOLD GROWS THIS BECOMES A SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD JEPORDIZING ANYONE RIDING IN THE VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH COMPRAMISED IMMUNE SYSTEMS.
TAKATA RECALL I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP MORE THAN 3 MONTHS AGO ABOUT GETTING THE AIRBAG REPLACED, AFTER I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA. I AM STILL WAITING TO GET AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED.
I HAVE A 2006 HONDA CRV WITH LESS THAN 40000 MILES. UPON STARTING THE CAR THE VSA AND ABS INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THERE WERE NO ACCIDENTS OR ANY NOTICEABLE PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET UNDER GOOD CONDITIONS AS WE TOOK CAR TO THE HONDA DEALER, AND WAS TOLD THE VSA MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $2,600. PLUS PUS A CHARGE OF $110. FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH HAD TO BE DONE. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE, AND SHOULD WARRANT A RECALL. THANKS HONDA FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT. BUY AMERICAN
WE RECEIVED THE NOTICE BELOW ABOUT A LIFE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. WE CONTACTED MULTIPLE HONDA SERVICE DEALERSHIPS, ONLY TO BE TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT IN STOCK AND IT WILL BE ANYWHERE FROM 2-WEEKS TO 2-MONTHS BEFORE THEY ARE IN STOCK TO DO THE REPAIR.....SO UNTIL THEN, MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING A HONDA CR-V WITH A KNOWN LIFE SAFETY ISSUE AND CAN'T GET IT ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER/DEALER....THAT IS VERY UNSAFE, NEGLIGENT, ETC. TAKATA RECALL - THIS IS A COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST RAY PRICE HONDA, 505 FAWN RD, SUITE A, EAST STROUDSBURG, PA 18301 (PHONE 570-421-2000). ON 07 JULY 2016 I CONTACTED RAY PRICE THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL. ON 08 JULY 2016 I WAS TOLD THEY HAD TO ORDER MY AIRBAG AND I PROVIDED THEM WITH ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CONTACT ME BACK WHEN THE PARTS ARRIVED. I FOLLOWED UP ON JULY 11TH AND JULY 27TH BY EMAIL AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS HAD STILL NOT ARRIVED YET FOR MY VEHICLE. ON AUGUST 27TH I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP BY PHONE, AND THEY CLAIMED THEY DID NOT HAVE AN ORDER IN FOR MY AIRBAG RECALL. THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAKE ANOTHER ORDER AND CONTACT ME WHEN IT ARRIVED. IT IS NOW 17 SEPTEMBER AND I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK ABOUT THIS RECALL. AFTER 70+ DAYS RAY PRICE HONDA HAS BEEN NEGLIGENT AND FAILED TO PERFORM AN IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL ON MY VEHICLE DESPITE MY NUMEROUS FOLLOW-UP CORRESPONDENCE. *TR

TAKATA RECALL. HONDA STATES THAT CAR OWNERS SHOULD HAVE THE RECALLED PART REPLACED IMMEDIATELY AND YET THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO REPLACE THE RECALLED PART FOR SEVERAL MONTHS (LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL). THEY SUGGEST THAT CAR OWNERS NOT HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS UNTIL THE PART IS REPLACED.
RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA REGARDING PASSENGER AIRBAGS. IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER ON 7/7/2016 TO ARRANGE REPAIRS. HAD REPAIRS SCHEDULED FOR 7/15/2016. APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED DUE TO PARTS BEING ON BACK-ORDER. FOLLOWED-UP WITH LOCAL DEALER ON 7/19/2016 FOR UPDATED STATUS. DEALER COULD NOT GIVE ESTIMATE WHEN REPLACEMENT PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. LOCAL DEALER HAS BEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE, DESCRIBING THE SITUATION. UNFORTUNATELY, MY HONDA IS NOT SAFE PER NHTSA RECALL 16V-344 AND IS CAUSING A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. ADDITIONALLY, HONDA DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE ABLE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. AS A LONG TIME HONDA OWNER (1996), I AM DISAPPOINTED.

TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. NOTICE RECEIVED 7/2/16; HONDA DEALER WILL NOT MAKE APPOINTMENT AND SAYS TO CALL BACK IN 60-90 DAYS TO FIND OUT IF THEY EVEN HAVE THE PART. THIS ALSO HAPPENED WITH THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG RECALL.
I OWN A 2006 CRV WITH UNDER 33000 MILES, I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THIS VEHICLE AS I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER. SO ALL OF A SUDDEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY VSA, ABS, ENGINE, TPS (TRIANGLE EXPLANATION POINT SYMBOL) AND BRAKE LIGHT COME ON. I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND I'M TOLD THE VSA MODULE NEEDS REPLACING! COSTING $2400. WOW! THAT'S EXPENSIVE. I THINK THIS PART SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED CONSIDERING THE SEVERITY! THIS PART IS VITAL AND HOW HAS $2400 BURNING A WHOLE IN THERE POCKET? PLEASE HELP! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
